MO IS HONEST!!! Love this hidden gem. I thought I needed to replace the starter on my Cadillac and Pep Boys across the street wanted $300 for the starter and another $300 for labor. What???Mo at Community Auto Repair said. You dont need to replace the starter and cleaned the throttle body for $30. I was so thrilled I gave him a $20 tip because he was so honest. Caddy runs so smooth now. Mo is my new car guru for everything Cadillac.06/06/20 Walked in here on a Saturday afternoon for an oil change and my car was done in 10 minutes... No Joke.12/15/20So my 2008 CTS Cadillac reached the point of near death at 193K miles. It was either buy a new car or replace the engine in the Caddy. Mo found me a 2009 engine with less than 50K miles on it. I didnt want car payments so I decided to have Community Auto replace the engine.Three days later Mo texted me that my car was ready. He did a beautiful job. The engine purrs and no leaks or weird noises. I was really impressed with the job Community Auto did on my car. The engine came with a 3 month warranty but Mo gave me another 3 months for a total of a 6 month warranty.So just a review to let people know if you need a job done BIG or small with professional workmanship and a fair price call Mo at Community Auto.

I veered off the road Saturday and hit a drainage column (see below) and took it to Toyota Mon morning. They said it would cost $2630 to repair and they wouldn’t have the part for a week. I called City Garage and they quoted me $1900. I called Community Auto Repair and he quoted me $1500. I came into the office and he was very kind and courteous and I could tell he wanted to help me out as he new I had been in an accident. He said he would drive to the junkyard in Dallas and would have it fixed by the end of the day. I was ecstatic. I’d strongly recommend using Community for all your maintenance and repairs.

I had the unfortunate luck of getting a nail in my tire on a Sunday. For some reason, it seems that most places are closed on Sundays. After a very stressful couple of hours and driving on an ever so slowly flattening tire, I ended up at Pep Boys across the street because they were the only open place that was popping up on my searches. I walked in and they said “it’s a 4 hour wait” without even looking up or asking what I needed done. I walked out and was about to just give up. I looked across the street and saw Community Auto Repair and thought what the heck, I’ll give it a shot. I parked, walked in, they asked what I needed, I told them and my car was back in their shop within 30 seconds of me arriving. I waited in their waiting area for MAYBE 10 minutes, and they fixed my tire, checked me out, and I was on my way. I don’t think thank you covers my sentiments. They blew me away with their service and kindness. Absolutely fantastic service and a great price to boot. Don’t hesitate coming here. I will be back for routine service or any issues that may arise in the future because of my awesome experience today. Thanks Community Auto!

I cant thank this place enough! I came in off the streets as a female needing my AC fixed in this 100+ day. They took my car back immediately and checked it out. Was very quick to tell me what needed to be done. At first it was going to need compressor ( very expensive) but on further inspection they fixed some wires and repaired some lines that had been bent when I ran over a Boar. They saved me over $500. And my AC works great! They easily could have replaced the compressor as I would have not known the difference and had already gave them the OK. They have earned my trust! Thank you!!!

Good service. It is great to be able to talk to the owner, Mo, who cares about customers repeat business. I used this shop for more then a year or more, on multiple vehicles. I buy my tires through them. Also i trust them to repair or maintain my family members cars. Trust is a big deal if you are busy but di not want to be ripped off. I hope this will not change and I will be a customer for a long time.

I went in to get a second opinion on my car ac because I was told the entire ac kit needed to be replaced at another car repair place. The mechanic at Community assessed the compressor and checked for leaks and didn’t find anything wrong. He said my ac just needed to have the proper amount of Freon in it. He serviced the ac and it seems to be cooling properly now!

Moe did a great job getting my car in and out for an oil change and replacing of my headlight. It was quick and easy and he had me on my way in no time. I would for sure recommend this location to other people for great service

Unprecedented honesty and integrity! I had been shopping for a mechanic for almost two weeks for wheel bearings, muffler and tune up work. Im glad I went to this place. Gave great advices on what really need repairs! The prices are right and they only charge you for the actual time they spend working on your vehicle. I would go back there without shopping around next time.

I don’t recommend Community Auto Repair, my minivan started make a noise on the right wheel and they was close, I leave my car and 1 hour later they called me, the problem was the strut was loose and they told me need to be replaced for $300, after that we take out our car and the ABS light is on and I asked him what is the problem and he told me, maybe the wire is loose you can come back later because we are closing.Days later we decide to replace the strut for the other side but we go with other mechanic and he told us we need to replace both because the “new one “ is broken and the ABS wire is broken too.Finally our mechanic change both struts and ABS wire for $200

Community Auto repair could improve by being honest with their customers instead of defrauding them and selling them salvaged vehicles. They could act with honesty and integrity instead of showing lack of character and lying like Moe, who is the owner did to me.

I have been using the services of the Community Garage, in two locations, for approximately the past 15 years. They have provided predictably excellent professional repair work and advice during that time period.I truly appreciate their added value from inspections and observing future evolving problems which can be attended to more economically at present rather than having a catastrophic failure when on the road.I am convinvced they saved my youngest son from injury or worse when they discovered an incorrectly assembled and installed steering mechanism that had been placed by an out of town off road shop.Having had ten years plus aircraft flight line mechanic experience on transports and high performance aircraft gives ability to appreciate and judge the Community Garage.

I wanted to get a mechanics opinion on an used car I had just bought and to fix a problem with the headlights. I came across this place that was open on sundays and had great reviews. Khalid (i’m sorry if i spelled your name wrong...) was very helpful and trustful. He gave me his honest opinion and recommendation. He went above and beyond when he tried to teach me a little bit about the car and maintenance. He never tried to pressure me into doing any kind of service which I appreciate. Quick service. highly recommend and would come back.

We have been getting my husbands 2000 Jeep Wrangler worked on here for a while now. Ed and Brandon have always been honest, done good work, and the pricing is fair. Its hard to find a trustworthy mechanic for out-of-warranty cars. We are really happy to have found this garage and now we wont go anywhere else.

I went twice for two different works but both time I was disappointed. First time I went to fix a sound coming from right rear wheel, head of the workshop took a drive and asked to change routers of both rear wheels which I did spending $450 but sound is still coming. Second time I went when I felt sounds and vibration coming from engine while turning, they asked for diagnostic test for which I agreed after checking they said car is ok nothing wrong with it and charged diagnostic fee. On same day my car stopped on highway being Transmission system completely broke down.

I have used this shop for years when I lived in the neighborhood and they are always willing to help out neighbors, even after I moved away from Plano I still find myself going back because they are all kind and honest people here.

They have now started charging service fee on use of credit cards.

This Man is a guys I trust. Before any other place.

Avoid this mechanic, he charged my father in law 350 for transmissions he didnt fix. He tried trial and error method but failed horribly. Very disrespectful and dishonest person.

Today i went to this auto repair shop and he fix my hood and he did not charge and he help me regarding my other car i really appreciated
