If I could give it 6 stars I absolutely would! These guys are amazing. Wasn’t able to pick it up when it was done and shortly after realized I realized all of my stuff was in my car! Backpack for college(of course with all of my textbooks in it πŸ™„) So I called back to see if maybe possibly I could just get my backpack back and a wonderful worker came back to the quick lane just so i could get my stuff back. I was in shock. absolutely amazing customer service that goes above and beyond anything I expected

They do good work and are pretty quick. The only knock I have is, the last time I came for an oil change and tire rotation I was told I needed and appointment but they took me in anyway.I called a couple of days before this visit to make an appointment, but was told no appointment was need for an oil change. So I arrived to have my oil changed and again was asked if I had an appointment and I explained above and was told I shouldnt have been told that. So I ask what is the policy an appointment or not? It should be made clear to everyone that works there. I would have given 5 stars if not for this.

I received an oil change and tire rotation. While watching a technician named Conrad, I was able to see the quality workmanship and the care that he took while he was with my car. He made sure to also always wear his mask. During this time, a mask being worn while in my vehicle, matters. All in all, I recommend this establishment, specifically the technician named Conrad for the swift service, quality, and professionalism that he demonstrated.

The advisors and technicians are very helpful! They are a very quick moving shop that puts the customer first at all cost! The senior techs in the shop are very helpful in diagnosing larger more in depth problems. If I have something wrong they let me know before proceeding with any more work and are more than willing to bring me to the back and show me first hand what is actually wrong and try to explain it so I can understand; and then look for the best possible price they can offer to fix it for me! I will be bringing my car there for a very long time! 5 stars is very accurate for this locations service, 10/10 recommend visiting them for your car needs today!

I set up an appointment to have all 4 of my tires changed and an alignment, when I arrived they had my vehicle in right away. The waiting room is very spacious and you dont feel like youre tripping over everyone or too crowded. The lady that helped me while I was there also took care of me over the phone, she was very pleasant and helpful. She even asked me if I needed a ride home to wait while my vehicle was being serviced, they have a driver! I thought that was nice because Ive never been offered that service anywhere I had been before. I decided to wait at the shop. She came back before any work had been done to make me aware of a few issues besides what I had come in for. They didnt just DO the work without my consent or charge me extra for the diagnosis. I was unable to get the alignment the same day due to the other issues. But she went out of her way to do a price match on the tires and submit my rebate which saved me over $100. She also provided me an estimate if I chose to have the other repairs done there. I would recommend this location without a doubt to individuals who arent that savvy when it comes to vehicles, they help educate and dont take advantage of their customers. Thank you!

I rarely review or say anything about my experience with a business in a public manner. I normally just chose to continue patronizing if I like a place or go elsewhere if I dont. That being said, I feel I must share my experience. I realized that this might be a teaching moment for the young man who waited on me. I recently had The Works service performed and also asked that they check a tire that has a slow leak. Cory came to me with a list of things the tech found on his inspection of my 2004 Explorer. Cool, these are things I was unaware of and why paying a little extra for an oil change is worth the $s. So I leave armed with quotes so I can do some research and shop around. Then later it dawns on me, wait, what about the tire I wanted them to look at? Then I thought about my interactions with Cory and realized that he appeared to be more interested in the new repairs I needed than what I needed that day. Then I thought, you know, his manner in general gave me the impression that he didnt have much enthusiasm for his job. Could have been having a bad day, we all do. So here is my advice; even if you dont care or like your job, act like you do when dealing with customers. We come to you for assistance, service and, in some cases, a little peace of mind. We are paying to get these things. If we are happy, we come back even if the price is a little higher than the competitors. The customer may not always be right, but they are always the customer. We can be huge pains in the posterior, but we chose how to spend our hard-earned money. Oh, and on a personal note; when a beautiful classic car is sitting 10ft from you everyday, take 5 minutes and learn a few details, even if you dont care. It may not mean much to you, but it may mean the world to the customer. Oh, my brother replaced the belt and I am getting a second opinion on the ball joints. Have an appointment Tuesday at a competitor for a diagnostic on the AC at a much more reasonable price. Have a great day and I hope this helps Cory grow.

Went to Quick Lane and request tire rotation, balance and oil change. I was quoted a price and called when it was done. Wife picked the vehicle paid the bill, happily ever after. Then I realized they never rotated the tires. When I brought it up to them, they told me you want the tires with the best tread on the back. I explained the whole reason I wanted the rotation was for the tires with the best tread on the front. If that was not recommended then they should have explained that and I would have not had the tires rotated and balanced. Hence they charged me the same price for balancing my tires as they would for rotating my tires. I believe I was scammed and ripped off by this company and would not utilize that again.

I needed an oil change, it was a Saturday, they said to bring it right in. While waiting for the car, Pete advised the power steering was low. It was late afternoon. Pete (who was great), advised my vehicle took an uncommon fluid, that they could only get from a dealer. They sent their parts truck to the dealership to pick up the fluid. Great service. In addition, everytime I have taken a car in and they found something, they showed me the problem and explained why it needed to be changed (very thorough). They also go over anything that needs to be done, they advise what can wait and what needs to be done. They also keep great records on your car and remind you of your last visit and review what might need work. I can’t keep quiet anymore. I took my Jeep cherokee for an oil change here in the summer. EVER SINCE they touched it, I’ve been having nothing but issues. 3 weeks after getting my oil changed, it started spilling oil out! I pulled out of my cement drive way and saw a HUGE puddle of oil. It turns out they didn’t tighten the oil filter well enough (my brother went under and confirmed it was loose) once it was tightened, it stopped leaking.About a month ago, I went back for my oil change that was due. I told them about what happened and they did the oil change for free this time. So, that was great, totally good move customer service wise which is why they get 2 stars... but now, here I am in the Autozone parking lot filling my BONE DRY coolant tank because my Jeep was smoking from the exhaust!!! They didn’t bother to check my fluids!!!I filled my coolant, boom, no smoke! I’ll put my foot in my mouth and update the review if there’s a leak, but there’s honestly no sign of that.

First let me start out that my husband has been in the automotive industry for the last 30 years and my son a tech for years (both no longer in management or service tech). I purchased a 2014 Ford Explorer and after I got it home my husband and son inspected it and found an oil leak from the timing area. Since we no longer have the means to bring to my husbands shop we decided to take it to Quick Lane in Plainfield since it is affiliated with Rod Baker Ford. At first I was met by a young lady who was very nice. I looked around and thought wow this place is very nice, clean and seemed like my new go to shop for auto repairs. After inspection indeed my timing cover and items associated with that need to be replaced along with a switch. Total estimate $1500.00. The man who checked me out was named Pete and got to say kinda rude. I had to call the place where I purchased the car from who gave me a phone number to call and work would be approved. All the shop had to do was call them give the last 8 digits of VIN and approval would be given. Called and spoke to Pete 2 more times again seemed cocky and rude. The 1st call he said he was aware of the number to call but needed my warranty paperwork. I said I had none just call the number. Said a couple more cocky sentences like So what your saying is you dont have the paperwork? uh yeah thats what I am saying but if you call the number and give the last 8 digits of VIN we can schedule the service. To which he replied Ill give this to Corey. Never said Corey was not in that day and would not return until after 10 the next day. Called Corey to see if he called as I need to get this work scheduled and was told hes off today. Called again this morning and Mr. Friendly Pete answered asked for Corey and abrubtly said not in until 10. At this point I have decided that I am not giving this place my business for the simple fact of the tone of Pete! He was rude the very 1st day my husband called and made my appointment with them. I feel like...dude do you want my business or not? If you did you be a little more nicer to a brand new customer like me.

Warning!! Read all first!! I only used them for oil changes! First off I have always had a good to great experience with Q. I am retired and always tried to get there when they opened and the wait time I had was very little. The staff was always great and, informative did good work. They even send out notifications that are a little more personalized than Merlin coupon notification. Here is where the warning comes in!! I own a Chevy Silverado and Q only uses Motorcraft (Ford) oil! Before I went there I researched on the internet to see if Motorcraft oil was compatible with Chevy engines and I could not find any information on the internet that would tell me not. BUT after 3 or 4 oil changes at Q I developed a main rear seal and a valve cover oil leak! My 2007 Silverado only has 80000 miles on it (probably only 65000 on it when I started there) and that was very strange to me! I switched back to my Pennzoil and added some main rear seal stop leak (BlueDevil) and that has stopped the all of my oil leaks! For 4 months now I have been leak free saving me $1500. I have only good things to say about Q but the CAUTION is using Motorcraft oil in non-Ford vehicles! This is only my opinion about the leaks no data available!!!

The staff here displayed a commitment to serving their customers that you rarely find around here. I took my car here for a recurring problem that was already fixed by an independent repair shop on the North side of Plainfield just off Hwy 59. It turns out that the car was fixed with a defective part, a fact that the owner of the independent shop angrily denied-Instead of checking into it, he subjected me to a ten minute rant, berating Quick Care and anyone who would take their car there. Pete, the manager at Quick care, took the opposite approach. He listened to me, rechecked everything, then quickly ordered and replaced the defective part himself, getting my car back on the road within a couple hours. The knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to service shown by Pete and his staff (including Cory) will keep me coming back here.

(WILL TRY TO POST PICS SHORTLY) BY RUNNING IT OVER WITH AN OVER SIZED TRUCK WHILE MANEUVERING VEHICLES AROUND.INITIALLY, I WAS SPEECHLESS. I ASKED TO SEE IF I COULD COME SEE THE CAR THE NEXT MORNING. THE FOLLOWING MORNING I WENT TO SEE A HORRIBLE SITE. I ASKED IF IT WAS ON CAMERA AND THE RESPONSE I GOT WAS, I WASNT HERE WHEN IT HAPPENED BY A VERY APOLOGETIC JUSTIN FROM QUICK LUBE. BUT IM SORRY AND WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT. BUT HE WOULD NEED TO SPEAK WITH ANOTHER MANAGER AND GET BACK TO ME. A WEEK LATER, I HAD TO CALL THEM TO SEE WHERE WE WERE.. AND I HAD TO LEAVE A MESSAGE, WE HAD PLAYED PHONE TAG A LITTLE,THEY OFFERED TO FIX BODY WORK, BUT BECAUSE OF THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE AND THE AVAILABILITY OF THE BODY PARTS IT COULD BE WEEKS BEFORE THEY GET THE PARTS. BUT, BY THE WAY, TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED, IT WILL COST OVER $2000 IN MAINTENANCE TO THE MOTOR (APPROX $275 IN PARTS AND $1800 IN LABOR) AND THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK.IN THE MEANTIME, I RECEIVED CALLS TO PURCHASE THE CAR AND HAD TURNED DOWN WELL OVER 20 OFFERS ON MY CAR.CAN YOU IMAGINE MY DISGUST!!!WITH THAT BEING SAID;I HAD PROPOSED TO THEM WHAT I FELT WAS A FAIR PROPOSITION.THAT THEY FIX MY CAR, (BODY WORK AND MECHANICALLY), GET IT RUNNING AND LOOKING PERFECTLY AS IT DID WHEN I BROUGHT IT THERE AND/OR PURCHASE THE CAR FOR $2000 UNDER MY ASKING PRICE. EITHER WHICH WAY THEY WIN CAUSE THEY WOULD FIX THE CAR AND RE SELL IT OR SATISFY A CUSTOMER AND MAKE RIGHT BY A SCREW UP THAT WAS ENTIRELY DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE AND LACK OF CARING. ESPECIALLY, WHEN I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THIS CAR WAS ONLY USED FOR CAR SHOWS AND CRUISE NIGHTS AND IT ISNT A DAILY HAULER NOR DOES IT BY ANY MEANS LOOK LIKE IT.I HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR OVER 14 YEARS. IT NEVER SAW RAIN OR SNOW. IT WAS METICULOUSLY TAKEN CARE OF AND MAINTAINED. I HAVENT EVEN PUT A SCRATCH ON THE CAR IN THAT TIME PERIOD. QUICK LANE HAS IT FOR A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AND THEY USE IT AS A MONSTER JAM JUNK CAR THAT THEY SMASH.

Howerever in the last 6 months I have been less than happy with their service. 1st strike was $500 of tie rod work preformed without asking, I guess they thought since my company was paying for it that they were doing me a favor.Second strike was I brought my truck in because it was running rough, they replaced spark plugs and a coil and it did the trick, however they gave it back to me with FOUR quarts of oil low. Are you fricken even kidding me! That should have been the last straw but they are around the corner from my house so its very convenient. So the other day I asked for a tire quote for my personal vehicle and never heard back, I even went into the store myself, spoke with someone and left my personal information. After me questioning them they admitted they did the measurements wrong and said my tires were in great condition. A few months went by before I noticed my car was leaking oil because the low oil sign went on in my car. This was my experience on Saturday. I had my radiator changed out (at home) and lost about 2 quarts of transmission fluid. Apparently the 06 Ford Explorers are designed so that the fluid has to be replaced by the dealer (or Quick Lane, etc). I spoke to Quick Lane and was told to bring the truck in and they would handle it.I secured a ride, dropped off the truck at the scheduled time and left. Several hours later they called back and said they couldnt do it; that i had to take it to the dealer. Well, its Saturday and the end of the day at that so i couldnt call the dealer. I wasted my time, my friends time (for running me back and forth) and they didnt do what they told me they could do just a few hours prior. If they would have said they couldnt do it i would have just called the dealership to begin with! Really, really poor service. How can you not know what services your company offers?!I work a ton of hours and i have very little spare time in which to get these types of things handled. Now im stuck with the extra cost of having to drive a rental this week until i can get this taken care of. Dont say you can do something if you cant. The time prior to that, i took it in for a tire rotation, oil change and a few other small maintenance issues. The maintenance issues were taken care of but they forgot the tire rotation and the oil change. Forgot? ....... ok.I could add a few other issues but in interest of time i will suggest that you just look elsewhere for car service. If they dont know what services they offer and they forget something as routine as oil changes and tire rotations, how am i supposed to trust that theyre servicing my truck correctly at all?

I brought my car in to their Quick Lane for a heat/ac issue. I paid a diagnostic fee to pinpoint the problem and had the work done. About $300.00. My wife picked the car up on a Friday and I did not drive it until the following Monday, same problem. Went back on Monday and spent two hours while it was diagnosed again and I was told that the replaced part was bad. Five days later I called back to see if the part came in and was told it didnt but should have and he ( Pete ) would call back. The following Tuesday I called Marcus ( his name was in a survey text ). He called Pete and told me the part was in. My wife dropped the car off again on Wednesday. I didnt hear anything so we stopped in after work on Thursday. Pete said they figured out the problem and showed me a video of the problem, he said the part was under $12.00. Friday 5/5 Pete called and told me to replace the $12.00 part the the entire dash would need to be taken out and labor cost would be $1100.00+. I picked up the car no work done. I paid $300.00 to diagnose and fix a problem that wasnt fixed and now its going to be another $1100.00 to fix? I get that there may be a lot of labor to replace the part, however how is it fair that I paid $300.00 to fix a problem that wasnt fixed? Im disappointed and feel I was cheated. The above text was sent to Rod Baker on 5/6/17 through the contact form on their website, a Facebook message and through a follow up survey I received in an email. I wanted to make sure that it was received by them since I also wrote that I would hold off on any public reviews until I heard from them. On 5/8/17 someone from Rod Baker called me and said they were really busy but that someone would get back to me in a couple of days, now its the following Friday ( 5 days later ) and no response. Service or lack thereof was done at the Quick Lane they own in Plainfield, IL.

Spent $900 to have a tune up and oil change and they broke the bolt off holding the coil on and didnt say anything. I cant trust their workmanship anymore. Sorry you had to lose a long time customer over something so small.

Had my 2014 Explorer worked on By Tom Wernig, He explained everything he did and I wasnt given the work around on anything or the upsell on stuff. I will continue going back there to have Tom work on my Vehicle. Id have to say the most knowledgeable mechanic they have working there, I would recommend him for your car repairs. The guy knows his stuff!

Went in early in the a.m. for just an oil change. Only one other car there. Waited 2 /12 hrs. They kept taking other people before me. Came & told me after 2 1/2 hrs that i needed new brakes all the way around even though my brakes were only 6 mos old. After leaving was driving down the road & the sticker they put on my windshield said my battery needed immediate attention. Never said a word about my battery, just wanted to gouge me over $400 for brakes. Ill never go back.

Went in for a oil change and they told me that I needed a brake job on the front end ( pads and Resurfacing of the rotors) so I said yes . Well come to find out that they did the back brakes instead but wrote on the paperwork that they did the front. Now mind you the brakes didnt make any noise before the alleged brake job and 6 thousand miles later they still dont but come to find out the inside of the rotors are gouged up bad and need to be replaced. So I took it back and the shop boss didnt care that they messed up and didnt ( more like refused to make it right ) so Ive got a call in at rod backer ford (the owner of quicklane) to see if I can recover some of the cost of their screwups but its rod baker ford and we all know how its gonna end !!! So if you need a ford or need your ford fixed DONT USE ROD BAKER FORD OR QUICKLANE OF PLAINFIELD ! ........... UPDATE ......... Today in the mail I got a check Compensating me for the brake job that I had done at another shop to fix what they screwed up . its really sad that I had to go to great Lengths to get them to fix what they did ! and for the smart Mouth shop boss I hope they took this out of your pay !

I will definitely be coming back here for my oil change. Its also good to know that theyre owned by Rod Baker Ford and all my customer and vehicle information is already in the system. Making the switch from getting service from Rod Baker to Quick Lube was painless. Also, free wifi, iPads, Keurig coffee and leather chairs. 100% improvement from the Rod Baker waiting room.

Where do I start? I walked in right after they opened the doors about 9:58am. The greeting I got...Were not open yet, followed by a blank stare. I asked if I should sit down and wait for 2 minutes. No what do u need? I said I think I need to have my breaks or alignment looked at. You think ur breaks are bad? Um, I dont really know, which is why Im here, hoping u could tell me what the problem is. Theres 2 cars before u. Ok, I can drop it of and come back later. Then I was passed off to someone else. I called at 1pm since I hadnt heard from them. Sorry, well get to ur car in about 30 minutes. I called back at 3pm. Ur car is literally going on the rack as we speak. I drove by the place at 3:07 and watched my car being pulled into the garage (apparently not literally on the rack at 3pm....). 4pm, they finally called me back, some things to be done but wont get it done till tomorrow at noon. I asked why it took 5 hours to get to my car. Apparently waiting customers get priority over cars dropped off earlier. Needless to say, I picked up my car, un-repaired, and will go elsewhere.

My sister used to get her regular services done here. Im a master certified tech, unfortunately I live 1000 miles away from Plainfield now. She asked me about some work they were doing on her 07 Ford Explorer. I looked over her estimate ( I use this term lightly) which showed $750 for ball joints, $600+ for a wheel bearing, and an alignment. No labor/parts breakdown, just handwritten in chicken scratch. I asked her to get me a copy of the estimate with a parts/labor breakdown. When I received this, magically almost $200 was knocked off the balljoint job. However, they were still overcharging on the labor times. ( the parts were inline with what I expected and verified with a local ford dealer) ball joints pay 2.5 hrs on this make n model, they were charging 3, hub pays .8 they were charging 2.0 for hub replacement and diag) normally diag is 1.0 hrs at the dealer. I called and spoke with Connie, she said Marcus wrote the ticket up and I needed to discuss with him but he had left for the day. I called back to speak to Marcus, let him know my background ( again master certified, and have worked for ford before) and asked him to please explain the ticket. He attempted to explain, I asked him why the times quoted were so high compared to my times ( sourced from all data, a well known automotive technical information source in the industry) he said in more or less words that he didnt know. Also on this vehicle the hub needs to be removed to do the balljoint. So why would he charge time for the hub and time for the ball joints? He stated this was not the case, the hub didnt have to be removed, which is the incorrect way to perform this repair. Even if this was the case they were still over charging my sister by .7 hr for the work. ( the current shop rate is $119 an hour, so around $75 too much) he didnt get why I was upset about this. I had to tell him that he was STEALING from the customer, and that his tech was not only stacking labor but padding the hours as well. After this he told me that he was brought into the store recently to turn it around because they had heard things like this before. This gentlemen also happens to be a 20 plus year member of the rod baker team, who has been at this store at least a year that I know of. ( I have spoken to people who have worked there and quit over a year ago to confirm this) after all this he finally came around and charged an agreeable labor time ( still charged for the hub twice) but was much better than the original quote $875 down from $1450. (She had already approved the work, and the work was completed by the time I got involved) If she hadnt have called me they would have scammed her out of $600+. This is wrong, as somebody who does this job on a daily basis I am disgusted by their behavior regarding this repair. Please if you do decide to let them look at your car, get a second opinion on the repair by a reputable shop. Make sure you get an estimate in writing with the parts and labor separated out.
