I typically take my vehicle to BMW for general service repairs. Recently moved into Plainfield and researched a highly rated non-dealership in area to repair a common hose leak for my model and happened upon this shop very close to me (3 miles away). Really liked their use of digital communication and approvals via phone, which is very similar to what BMW dealership does. Really like the fact they stand behind their work by offering a better/longer warranty on parts and service than the dealership. Huge plus. Overall, happy with repair work and business.

Took my car here after the local dealer would not return my call. This shops rates were more then fair and will be taking my car here for any other service that may come up. They were very communicative along the way and made the dropoff/pickup after hours smooth.

I was first introduced to PKW when I needed to pick up my daughters 2007 Mercedes after having some maintenance completed. I was extremely impressed with the customer service so I inquired about maintenance on my 2011 Volvo. The type of service needed on my Volvo, they were able to complete and again, the best customer service experience! Im beyond thrilled that I found a place that can do maintenance on my Volvo and who I can trust.

I used to have all my service done at the Porsche dealer. It took me all day and I always need a loaner since the dealers were far from my home. Dealers were expensive and basically used up most of my day. When PKW opened in Plainfield, I gave them a try. My Porsche hasn’t seen a dealer since. They are professional and experienced in servicing Porsche and have my car ready when promised, and fixed correctly at a lower cost. If you own a German vehicle, you should give PKW a try. They are great!

Went here with my 10 month old while waiting for an oil change on the Audi Q7. It’s close to a bunch of places you can walk to so we were able to entertain ourselves easily. Inside there’s also a couch, table and chairs and a tv with a fridge full of drinks for you too. Overall good experience with friendly people that explained the inspection report quick and easy. It’s a small place so it’s not crowded and they are focused on your appointment. I’ll definitely come back!

I recently moved to the area, and decided to give PKW Motorwerks a try. My vehicle was taken in right at the appointment time. The work was completed ahead of schedule, and the price was a great value compared to the dealership. There is a comfortable waiting area for customers with TV, magazines, coffee/water/soda. PKW provided a precise and thorough estimate of the issues with my BMW Series 5.They sent an electronic estimate showing each item for me to approve or not.I worked with Tony who was courteous in his explanation of the issues with my vehicle.

Recently purchased a used European car and PKW did a great job inspecting and repairing a few areas of concern. Austin the service director was super professional and communicative. He kept me up to date on the repair and met all turn around commitments. They also use some nice software to deliver reports to your phone/email about the vehicle, estimates for repair, findings and details of the repair, etc...

After getting the runaround from the dealership, who couldn’t diagnose the ABS and other light issues on my Range Rover Sport, I found PKW Motorwerks online. Best visit to any shop Ive ever been to since I first started buying cars...Austin was good to work with he talked me thru everything...he called me when my car was done and it runs better than it did when I got it...I will be back to have the rest of the work that needs to be done, done!Update...7/2021Needed my motor mounts done, so decided to drop it off at PKW. After filling out the key drop envelope, Jason, who I can only assume is the owner which I didnt assume upon meeting pulls up, we share a conversation and I left my car again, I called to check on the status and was informed it wouldnt be ready today and they were backed up for a while, I let Amanda know I would have to come back and pick up the car as it was my only mode of transportation, (this is why its always good to make an appointment)...about 30 minutes later Jason calls me back and says he himself would take care of my car and have it done before the close of business...I cannot express how much I appreciate this shop for my car, thank you guys so much...A-1 business!

I was putting off getting a carbon cleaning for my Audi S4 due to the price of this service at the dealer. Then I heard about PKW through some internet research and saw how much more affordable it was compared to the dealer and other independent shops. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. My son and daughter in law are in the military and are driving my 2008 passat wagon to San Diego Ca. PKW did a thorough inspection and repaired/replaced what it needed, they arrived from Italy and drove the vehicle locally for a week, the morning of their departure the starter gave out, I reached out to PKW and explained the situation, as busy as they where they where able to inspect, order parts, repair and have the vehicle ready 9am the following morning, my son, daughter in law and granddaughter made it safely to San Diego Ca. and on time to report for duty. thank you PKW!

From the time they set the appointment until the repairs were finished I was treated with honesty, respect and supplied with accurate detailed information. I just knew, they knew what they were doing. My car needed new bearings and tires. They fixed everything and even took a video of their diagnosis so I could see the problem, however it’s their demeanor that puts you at ease. I felt good choosing PKW. I still feel good after the work is complete and the bill was paid. This shop is amazing. My car had a fuel pump issue, and they were nothing short of exceptional. They diagnosed the issue and fixed it blazing fast, and they are VERY nice. Highly recommend this business!!!

I knew the problem the ML 350 had and articulated it to Tony. Tony told me the only way to confirm the problem was by spending $1,800 on some cam shaft sensors. I spoke up about already having those sensors replaced and how the SUV kept throwing the cam shaft alignment error message via the check engine light. Tony assured me it was the only way to find the problem plaguing the ML. Shame on me for saying yes to spending $1,800 on a diagnosis I already knew. Shame on PKW for not acknowledging the diagnosis that had already been realized and not finding a better solution to diagnose the problem.

They had the repairs to my Audi A6 completed in half the time they quoted and at half the price of the dealer quote. Excellent service!

Absolutely one of the most honest and professional shops Ive ever been too. Had that dreaded timing chain issue on a 2012 n20 engine. They got it all fixed up in a very timely manner. It seems they paid close attention to fine details inside the engine and kept me updated along the way. I cant recommend them enough for bmw services and Im sure other German cars as well. It was a 2 hour drive for me to use them and I dont regret a thing and will 100% go back for other major jobs that may come up. Definitely a customer for life. Thanks again you guys!!! Had taken my car in due to a misfire they did the free inspection, I really liked that. They told me that I needed suspension components fixed I said I’ll get that fixed after I can get enough money saved up and to just check why my car is misfiring, stopped responding to me for the next week. Got back to me about my misfire couldn’t even tell me what was wrong and said they are gonna decline the work on my vehicle

Took my car in the middle of july, left it there for a month due to a issue of the car not starting, they have previously worked on the issue, but It happened again less than two weeks of me having it again, a month passed, and they still have no answers, I felt like they were charging me more money for something they were unsure they were able to fix. It was the third time I took it in to them for that issue.

Great service fair price and great quality. Why go to dealer when you can save on money but no quality.

I took my car here for them to look at my parking brake retainer clip that is broken and to investigate a rattle from under the center console. I left with a estimate of $8000 and them saying that I need a new drive shaft and transfer case and did mention at all that the retainer clip was broken or needed to be repaired. I took my car to get a second opinion and they fixed the parking brake retainer clip in 2 hours and found no further issues with the vehicle all for $250. The staff is very friendly and professional but if you need major work done get a second opinion before handing over the money.

Used PKW recently for a pre purchase inspection. Austin and team were super professional, accommodating, and extremely thorough. Says a lot on how they do business and would highly recommend for anyone needing inspection or maintenance work.

Me and my father had issues with our 328i that we could not diagnose ourselves so we took it in to PKW by referral. They were able to diagnose the issue right away. (DME) They went ahead and installed the DME in a timely and cost efficient manner. The only reason that i selected four stars instead of five is because we were told that since we were missing screws for the fuel injector rails, they would go ahead and replace them. Along with the screws for the Valvetronic Actuator. When we got the car back home, we noticed that they did NOT install any screws into the fuel injector rails or the valvetronic motor that we needed and requested. But other than that slight disconnect, Kevin, was a great source of knowledge and extremely patient in the process. Thanks, guys.

I had the best experience at PKW! I made an appointment to bring my Jaguar there for and Oil Change and winter inspection service. I couldnt be happier with the service they provided. Everyone was so friendly and kept me informed during the process, they were quick and efficient:) I also loved how they send you a text link of everything performed on your car and what problems they found/if any. They also follow up with a text afterwards to see how your service went. I will never bring my car anywhere else and if you have a European auto I suggest you try them out and see for yourself:) I am telling everyone I know with European cars to go here! Its hard to find good companies these days, this one is a hidden gem.

Bought a used Mini Countryman recently and took it into them for an oil change and to go over the car for anything I should be on the lookout for. It is my first Mini and wanted their opinion. They were super reasonable for the oil change and quite knowledgeable about what repairs I should be on the lookout for. They were even able to fit me in last minute on my day off, and recommended a nearby place to grab a beer while I waited. Great experience!

PKW Motorwerks performed an oil change on my VW Jetta. Very prompt service. They charged $30 less than the local VW Dealer and did not try to sell me services I did not need or want. They are a great alternative to the auto dealer for service and repair.

I drove around looking for a less expensive alternative to Mercedes Benz. Well, I found PDK Motorwerks in Plainfield, IL, not only they offer the same services as Mercedes Benz, but the service they provide are better and superior. I am very happy for the services they have provided, and will continue to be a member of PKW Motorwerks. Brought my 2014 BMW 335xi in for a high flow catted downpipe, charge pipe, intercooler, mount and balance and JB4 install and everything went great!Price wise they were fair and cheaper then most surrounding shops while also quoting me the correct amount of hours unlike others.I dealt with Jason who chatted with me over the phone about his N54 and while installing the parts he geeked out with me about future mods and explained the current ones in detail. Really great and knowledgeable guy who put up with me and my obsession about my car.I couldnt recommend them more, will be using them for all my maintenances and installs in the future!Also cars a beast now

Top notch service provided by Kevin and the entire PKW Motorworks team for my second time customer experience with my Audi A5. From the initial appointment call, drop off, pick up call and final wrap up discussion including pictures/wright up/text of items needing to be watched go forward, the customer experience does not get better then this! The work was completed quick and with updated texts throughout. Do not waste your time searching anymore for your go to auto shop - this is it!

Very thorough and knowledgeable shop that works quickly while also having great customer service. They went above and beyond for me, fixing specific issues for my emissions test. Kevin at the front desk was friendly and always kept me informed with updates on my car.I took my Audi to PKW to fix a boost error code. A previous shop told me i had to get a new turbo. PKW checked my car, and actually discovered the problem wasnt the turbo and saved me $2,000. They are very thorough, and i felt confident that they knew what they were doing. They alerted me to other issues my car had. Kevin kept me informed and explained to me the issues, the cause, and the fix with each issue. Now my car feels like it did when i first bought it.My impression from PKW is that they are reliable, trustworthy, very knowledgeable, thorough, and actually care about diagnosing and fixing your cars issues.

Great Indy shop to take care of your BMW. I’ve always hated doing maintenance/ routine work at the dealership and like to support a family / small business. Kevin made sure to communicate everything to me and gave honest quotes before any work was carried out. For me it’s a bit of a trek from the City, but well worth the drive not only for the value but for the way they make you feel. I’ve been to other shops with other BMWs I’ve owned and always felt a bit uneasy with some of the work. Not here. Got the job done early to get me on my way. If you have a BMW (or any other Euro car) bring it here....you won’t be disappointed. Glad I found this place.

Ive been taking my Audi to PKW for almost a year and I have been very happy with the service and communication. The switch from dealership service to PKW is much easier to schedule and typically has a shorter time to when they can start as well.Ive had spark plug/coil packs, brakes and a DSG service done through PKW and the prices are more than fair. Youre paying for their expertise and not markup on parts.I would highly recommend checking out PKW if youre looking for easier scheduling, closer location for service, or if you simply want to go someplace where you feel like the employees a have passion for what they do.

I had a res-x and aftermarket intake installed on my 2017 Audi A4 this past Friday. Kevin was extremely friendly and helpful by answering all of my random questions beforehand. He also provided a verbal preliminary cost and time estimate. Jason sent me a reminder text a day prior to my appointment. When I arrived, the shop was very clean and orderly. Kevin kept me abreast of the status of my vehicle. The installation was completed without any issues to my understanding. The car sounds fantastic. I plan to have my car serviced at PKW going forward. Last but not least, I truly appreciate PKW offering a 2-year warranty on their work.

Recently took my Audi in for an oil change, great customer service, they where able to fix a problem my last oil change shop caused, car is running great after a simple oil change. They also performed a full inspection of the car. They identify a 2 leaking hydraulic engine mount they took a pictures to show me what was going. Overall great experience with Jason and his team.
