Dr. Joel Ackerman is a very good doctor and a sweetheart. I referred him to 3 people today. His co-workers were caring and very careful during this time. Masks worn @ all times. Unlike other doctors I was not rushed out and everything was explained fully about my eyes and their condition and how fix them. I left smiling..

The process for filling in information as a new patient was minimal and quick and easy. The staff was very attentive and extremely informative and my appointment was handled exactly on time. I highly recommend this place for your eye needs

Dr Ackerman has been my eye doctor since I moved to the valley over 12 years ago. I have my utmost confidence in his ability to take care of my eyes from a simple exam to anything else that life might throw my way, eye related. He is thorough, and explains things very well so I understand what is going on. His office is very friendly and efficient, and they always greet me with a big smile. I’ve had contacts for 40+ years and Dr Ackerman is the only one to address astigmatism in the prescription. He also takes the extra effort to test out different lenses to determine the best fit. As a result I have had much better vision than with previous opticians.

Ive been going to a generic eye glass store prior to this. The price was always a lot more than advertised. I get a better eye exam now and the quality of glasses is a lot better. Ive been going there for 2 years now and I plan on coming back every year...

The most recent being an emergency visit, and not only did he come in on his day off to see me (during a rainstorm), he was thorough and his recommendations brought fast relief.I highly recommend Dr. Ackerman’s office. Received eye exam and new script for glasses then had glasses made. I cannot even use them, much worse than old lenses and they wanted $35 to check my lenses after calling. What a waste of money, I recommend going somewhere else.

Have been going to Dr Ackerman for about 3 yrs, being highly recommended by a family member. He has been a great optometrist, the best Ive had in a lifetime of wearing glasses. He takes the time to answer any questions and to explain your vision requirements and possible solutions that are available to you. Super friendly and outgoing, his manner with me as a patient put me quickly at ease and he is able to relate the sometimes complex issues (to me) with my eyes in understandable terms. I highly recommend him and his staff!

Dr. Ackerman is amazing! He was the first one that was able to figure out why I was seeing double vision with glasses, all I needed was a prism put in my lens. He is very thorough, listens, and finds solutions. Excellent doctor, highly recommended!
