Terrible service. I called and left voicemails and no one answers. I finally call and get an answer on the phone, but they fulfill contact lens now because my prescription is 10 days expired. High recommend YOU GO TO SOMEONE ELSE.

Been years since I had an eye exam, Dr. Stern not only did an extensive exam but took the time to thoroughly explain everything. Also, staff members Darlene and Christina very helpful in assisting with frames and lenses as well as insurance paperwork. Great experience.
Dr. Stern is the best there is! I go to school in Flagstaff and my parents are down in Scottsdale now (almost an hour from Anthem). I had to try other places, but nothing compared to Arizona Eye Care; so I make the drive when Im in town just to see Dr. Stern. He is extremely knowledgeable, cares about his patients and giving them the best treatment possible, and follows up to make sure youre healthy or subsequently adjust the treatment. There is no better place for your eye care needs!

This was my first time at Arizona Eye Care. Dr Stern was very professional and made me feel extreamly comfortable. He was very patient with me during the eye exam and let me take my time finding the perfect lenses for my new glasses. Shellie was great to work with and even helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. The excellent customer care from Dr Stern and his staff has made me a lifelong customer. First appointment. Have never needed glasses until now at age 44. Took the time to explain what was going on. Office staff very helpful so far with teeing to figure out how to use contacts. Plus they are trying to find a frame that will work for me. Ill repost after I have the glasses and contacts going

Dr. Stern and his staff have been more than helpful. They have been so kind to us and knowledgeable letting us know exactly what is going on. The corena of my both my eyes were torn and Dr. Stern took his time making sure I got the best care. I would recommend him to anyone! He makes sure you are getting the care you need and deserve! They lied to me about cost and also told me acuvue2s are no longer being sold just so they can get me in more expensive contacts when for years I used the same brand and loved. I walked out paying one price for glasses n contact then got a call saying the price was wrong and I cant get contacts!!! Never will go there ever again!!!
Dr. Stern is very professional, he truly cares about the health of his clients eyes.This is not a rushed discount operation. If you are serious about eyecare, I recommend his office.

The staff was wicked friendly and easy to talk to. The Optometrists were wicked busy but always made sure my questions were answered and if they werent sure, they conferred with each other to ensure inrecI rec the best diagnosis and answers. As a first time customer, Ill deffdefini be going back and sending referring as many of my friends this way.10/10

I went to this optometrist because I had a sty on my eye. I told him I was a self pay patient with no insurance. He asked me if I wanted him to pop (express) the sty and I said of course because it was painful and unsightly. Afterwards, he gave this $500.00 bill for basically popping a pimple on my eye. He never said there was going to be an additional several hundred dollars for doing so. He then gave me the wrong medication to help heal it.....I learned that from the pharmacist I went to to fill the prescription. I later went back because it wasnt healing properly (because he gave me the wrong medication) and he would not even come out of his office for two seconds to look at my eye in order to give me a more suitable prescription. I asked his receptionist why and she told me his response was that I had to schedule a follow up appointment and pay another several hundred dollar fee. He said I dont work for free. Really? Not even for two seconds to help someone who you already ripped off by overcharging and giving wrong medication to. Do yourselves a favor and dont waste your time with this guy.....horrible doctor!This guy is a joke! He obviously does not care about his patients at all and is only about the money.

My strong advice to anyone is to stay far away from this place. The office is a complete mess with golf clubs and guitars tucked in corners throughout the establishment. Dr. Stern appeared as if he had just rolled out of bed and threw on a lab coat to start his day. He was very keen on lecturing me about contact wear and usage. He flew through the exam put contacts in my eye very quickly, confirmed the fit and prescription. Then pitched his new oil based eye lubricant that you spray on your eye lashes. Which has the side effect of numbing my eye lids.I was then quickly ushered to the lobby to look at glasses. I asked his staff what a years supply of contacts alone would cost. Michael the man helping me, flipped back and forth through his paper work for 5 mins before he advised me that someone else had that information. I was then passed to someone else on Dr. Sterns staff who had a difficult time giving me a straight answer until I asked no less then 4 times what 1 years worth of the new contacts would cost as well as what the lenses are, the prescription etc. she it was then that she wanted to discuss glasses with me. Again, extremely frustrating.This frustration was exacerbated by the argumentative stance dr. Sterns office staff as well as there inability to research my insurance policy regarding what is and what is not covered.
I have been seeing Dr Stern for over 25 years. He always keeps me updated with whats new. He has a nice selection of frames and the staff has always been friendly to me.
The staff here is awesome. Highly recommend.
It all started on October 8, 2012 when I went in to order two pairs of glasses for my 3 year old. I ordered a pair of regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses.I walked in and told the gal at the reception that I needed to order two pairs of glasses, the Miraflex, for my son. I knew exactly which ones I wanted and I have the Rx from my sons eye specialist. Well, this process took over two hours...first clue I should have turned around and ran out the door...I was told it would take 7-10 days. I called on day 10 and the the gal who answered the phone said the glasses werent in and made it clear to me that THEY would call ME when the glasses arrived.I called again 3 days later, no glasses.I called again on Monday, October 5, 2012. Found out the glasses were there at the office but the lenses were not in the glasses. The guy, Don, who cuts the lenses has been out because his wifes mother has been ill. The receptionist did not know when he would be back in to cut the glasses but assured me she would call me by 5:00 pm to let me know. I received no call back.I called again Tuesday, October 6, 2012 and the receptionist, Stephanie, answered and I told her who I was and the excuses started flying about why she didnt call me back (this was the second time she promised a call with no follow through). I was told Don would not be in to cut the lenses today and the doc (Mr. Stern) was not in today either. I told Stephanie I wanted my money back and I was taking my business else where...of course she is not authorized to do refunds. I told her I was contacting my credit card compnay and opening a dispute.While I was on the phone with Chase, Stephanie called and left me a message stating they could have someone in town cut the lenses and have them to me by end of business today. I called her back and agreed that I would drop the dispute once I had the glasses in hand at the end of business today. She called back again and said it would be Wednesday morning...OF COURSE! Well, I am showing up at 9:00 am tomorrow and the glasses better be ready.I will never ever, ever, ever recommend or use this place again. I have no confidence that the glasses will be ready tomorrow at 9:00 am and therefore will most likely need to go through with the dispute. Either way this place is terrible and I do not know how they are still in business!
Not happy with my experience. Dr Stern appears competent, but his business practices and his office manager leave a lot to be desired. He apparently doesnt allow his staff to reimburse for over charges. After 3 trips to have my credit card reimbursed for glasses I did not receive, his comment was, Why are you not buying your glasses through us? It felt like I was being punished for purchasing glasses elsewhere! I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I felt he could have handled the entire situation quickly and easily by simply refunding me the money he owed me. My wifes contact lenses are still not available after several weeks. Like the other comments, we were given excuses and redirected blame. Beware! He also charges a much higher than normal fee for contact lense fitting ($200). Definitely go elsewhere.
These 5 Star reviews are a JOKE! First and last visit...5/2/18.1st of all they do NOT have a wide variety and large selection of glasses to choose from, and 2nd the friendly staff is a fake friendly nothing genuine. Agree with the 5 minute eye exam along with 45+ minutes of paperwork... these ladies are slow... you would think they wouldnt miss anything for doing everything so slow cause theyre being thorough...but not the case! I paid over $500 during that visit and was told the glasses will be ready in two weeks...went to go pick up 1st pair and was told I owed $10 because the lady forgot to charge me and must of missed it. So I asked if the 2nd pair was gonna have a $10 charge too and she said yes...ok so after being there for over a hour of basically paperwork for 2 glasses she still missed two separate charges of a total of $20. Ok...paid those and I still havent received the 2nd pair as of 5/21/18. Have to keep calling otherwise you wont get an update. Called SEVERAL times to inquire status... they dont know... finally Friday 5/18/18 called again they said the glasses are at their shop and will be ready on Monday 5/22/18 for pick up. Went to go pick up at 4pm and they said they called me to tell me the glasses had a chip in the frame and had to be reordered and did not give me a date of delivery. They DID NOT call me or leave a message... otherwise I wouldnt have wasted my time after work to drive there. The HASSLE I have recieved just to get glasses is UNBELIEVABLE!!! And dont even think about voicing your concern and dissatisfaction with the Office Manager because she will disagree and argue with you. If she spent the kind of energy she did to argue with me... to actually provide good customer service... then maybe they wouldve recieved a better rating and get to keep loyal customers to small and local businesses!

I would not recommend this optometrist to anyone. The doctor took 5 mins. to look at my eyes and spent 45 mins. doing paperwork. After all that he changed my prescription and did not bother telling me until I ask. Also his office assistant stated she would have to order me a trial pair of contacts and its been over a week and I am yet to receive them after calling repeatedly. She seemed upset that I did not want to order a year supply of contacts that Ive yet to trial. She also stated I would have to come back for a itemized receipt.
First time visit today. Dr Yates made me feel at ease, the optician was friendly and fast, and Darlene helped me choose the right glasses, making it super easy!
Terrible service and very unorganized. Took my sons glasses nearly 2 months to get in after they said it would take about a week. Took them a month to even figure out they hadnt come in yet even though we called to check on the status weekly. All they did was make excuses as to why they hadnt arrived, blamed everyone but themselves. Never called me back when they said they would. Overall a horrible experience, would not recommend going here

It took 7 months to get my glasses. Part of that was insurance issues but Ive been calling for over two months to set a sat. Apt because their hours suck. No call backs and they blame their phone system. Ive called before with no returned phone calls. Then they blame staff turnover which is what I heard back in december and again in august. DONT GO HERE.!!!!!!!
Awful place, doesnt even deserve 1 star, id rather be blind than deal with Dr. Stern. I called to get my prescription and all i got was a life lecture and him telling me he wasnt done with my perscription until i come in again but was forcing me to buy contacts the first visit i went to. He also charged me 200 bucks to tell me something i already know.
Everyone was very professional and friendly. They let me choose the style of eye glasses without trying to get me in something I didnt like.
Unprofessional staff and medical professionals (if you must call them that) you would be better off goin to Walmart.
