Some of the best food Ive had. Locals were filing in before and after we made our order. Apparently if we had arrived any later there would be an hour wait - - and it would be worth it! Have the french toast and some bacon with eggs, what a great way to start your day. You can call in your order for pick up too.

I was at the hospital caring for my son and we had a taste for a BLT so we found Texas Wieners. The sandwich was a mess they put a piece of lettuce on it that should have been put into the trash. Terrible

Just left. Called in for turkey bacon and home fries. The menu says a side of home fries is $2.25. No price listed for meat. I added onions n mushrooms. She charged me for a platter, $8.87. Why so high? You ordered a platter without eggs. No I didnt, I order a side of home fries with turkey bacon. She rang it up individually, $9.30. Im good, I can get a full breakfast with French toast for that price. I was told they get plenty of business go elsewhere. I will. Why dont yall go pillage another community. In a black neighborhood, being treated like trash by a white woman working for an Asian man.

Some of best mom n pop breakfast in University City. Theyre french toast and flounder and grits platter is everything!

Horrible ….I called and ordered a sausage on a long roll….two eggs and home fries …everything was put on one roll…asked for no cheese …had cheese on sandwich…customer service horrible …didn’t ask for name or give me a number to pick up order or time.STAY FAR AWAY

Really liked the breakfast dive feel. Only a few seats but that adds to the charm. I think the only thing missing is a little less grease and little more clean, but otherwise, this is a Philadelphia gem that everyone should visit. Western Omelette a must.

The staff: Chrissy, Juan, all of them are Philly diner champions. It’s more than just a neighborhood spot. Pretty much always crowded but that adds to the experience. They remember your order if you’re a regular and they pretty much get it right if it’s your first time (humor). Recommended.

Got the urge for a home cooked meal? Look no further! Tiny little locale with a ton of flavor, this nook is a great spot on a cold day. The sausage is real, the eggs are fresh and they butter the toast before your eyes.

An hour wait for a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich? Yeah no thanks, Ill go ANYWHERE else. Would not recommend this place.

Classic place in West Philly; a long running Mom & Pop shop. I love the French toast. Mostly everything is good. Courteous staff; usually 2 waitresses there but, I dont think thats the norm anymore.

I love this restaurant, its the best greasy spoon restaurant around. The one waitress has worked there since forever, and she is nice as can be. The food is cooked in front of you, the way you ask, served hot and delicious. Reasonable prices, and the owner who is usually doing prep, or dishes, always has a greeting or send off of appreciation for you. Despite its humble lunch counter appearance, it my going to treat myself place.

Best restaurant ever. I love their Chocolate Chip Pancakes. They greet us with kindness each time we go there. They have been a blessing to my father next door. I go there every Sunday morning for breakfast. They cook their food really fast, and my dad says its magic. I recommend their Cheese Steaks and their Pancakes

My favorite consistent breakfast place in West Philly. it doesnt have curb appeal but you are going for the food. My favorite dishes there are the French toast and the banana pancakes. Im not fond of the eggs they just slap the cheese on top. Everything else is great and great value

The food is great, cheap and fast everything you want in a small quick neighbor Hood food spot.The reason Im writing this is I will never go back because I witnessed the way the owner treats talks to and bullies the staff and its disgusting. I witnessed the attack of staff twice the first time I was in shock. I have watched the owner interact with everyone who comes in the restaurant pleasantly and kindly the second time I saw her attack the black female staff was enough I spoke up educated the staff about fair treatment and her right and Power Not to be treated like a dog and left.I have told many friends co workers About this place great food spot but the toxic humiliating degrading atomsphere will not rest peacefully in my soul for a long time.I am my Sisters Keeper, if we watch unfair treatment and dont speak up for the oppressed then how can we complain about unfair treatment when it happens to us.

All this time it was just four blocks from my church. On 5/26 my Bishop took me out for breakfast. We went to this spot and man oh man was the food good 😀. I recommend the chicken and waffles.

The store is very dirty especially the overhead over the grill it hasnt been cleaned in years. I know because i have opened several restaurants as an general manager also thier is an abundance of grease on and around the toaster and cold storage bottom line the health dept needs to pay a visit

I paid paid $7 for bacon sandwich which was awful at best appeared to be burnt burnt and meat was hard it was a mess and I live in the area but Ill never go there again its so small inside youre bumping the next person to get by them .....

This place is a hidden gem spot. The CHICKEN AND WAFFLES will add 10 pounds of sad but happy you ate it weight. Idk why someone would rate it one star because its not the other location that pops up when you type it in on google. Taking away from a business that may be in a poverty stricken area but lets be honest thats where you find the best food. I have been traveling here sine I was 21 and When I am in the mood for good chicken and waffles I come HERE :-)

This place has NOTHING to do with South Phillys Original Texas Wiener (TM) located in the heart of South Philly near Snyder Avenue. This menu consist of pork roll and chopped steak. Why the weiner name? You got me. The original has been around since 1923 and is know for THE SAUCE that is still going, even stronger today. Please note they are TOTALLY DIFFERENT businesses. Just a little FYI to stop the confusion.
