This place is bizarre. Staff sitting inside eating and smoking. There is a table blocking the door with a plastic barrier. Looks terrible and not welcoming. Food is average. If they stopped riding the covid wave maybe they would have potential. Change the name from diner to takeout only and stop misleading people
Friendly staff, great community ties, & great food. Perfect hometown diner
I love it here. Its a classic diner with really good homemade food. I would recommend going here instead of Green Eggs across the street. Its much better priced and low key. The staff has always been nice to everyone when Ive been in and all the guests are always talking to each other. Also, great place to go if you have a hangover.
Cheap and deliciousBest spot for creamed chipped beef
They have an amazing price and their portions are big. Food tastes great and it fills you up. I was specially happy because they have a vegetarian sandwich in their menu and I didnt expect it. Good place to eat breakfast at brewery town.Waiters are busy with clients but are attentive to what you need. The only negative is not about the place itself but about some of the people around. A man was constantly coming in, yelling and having very aggressive conversations with himself, then he would go outside and stare at the windows and come back in again.Great prices, great food and fast service!
Great food,Great CS,only thing Eggs was a lil running didnt like that
Did not go in or order anything. Last nights Chinese food containers where still on the tables at 12:30pm
Everyone there is so nice and I get breakfast from them almost everyday since I have to work. Their prices are reasonable and if it wasnt tor this pandemic I would probably be eating in there almost everyday.
Love the food here, been coming here for years
Burnt bacon and chewy pancakes
This place may be one of the last great diners in the city. It reminds me if Phillies diner where I worked as a teenager. Staff and customers know each other on a personal level and that is what helps make a string working class community. God bless them and I cant wait for my Sunday breakfast before church.
Been going here for years, consistently quality simple food and friendly service you can expect.
Everything would be great except one day I walked in there and they were cooking other food on the pork grill...along with the pork..this may not concern some, but it bothered me to the point where as though I no longer go there. If you have a dedicated grill for pork... Then only cook pork on it...the girls are great!!
The food is good but theyre not practicing CDC guidelines. No one inside had on mask. The cook, waitress, cashier no one. Wont be back until they get themselves on the same page as the rest of the world.
Friendly neighborhood diner. They offer beef, turkey and pork bacon. Homemade sweet tea and lemonade. U have to wait, so call ahead if youre in a rush. Food is good and they stay busy.
This place may not look like much, but their breakfast is so good. Large portions, delicious food, and the price is perfect. You get so much bang for your buck. On top of all of this, they are FAST. I love going here and I never regret a Sunnyside breakfast!
Awesome diner. Delicious food and fast. Waffle and grits are always hot! Large portions cooked perfectly. Charging half as much as other locations in the neighborhood. Will be back
Awesome diner spot with much less hustle&bustle than the new Green Eggs cafe across the street. Traditional diner feel, such nice& quick service, counter seating or booth seats. Great feel for the local community. Cash or cards accepted.
Some of the best French toast Ive had from a neighborhood breakfast spot.
The people who work there are friendly and fun. Classic diner food. Great prices.
Food was simple and tasty. Fast service. Staff were pleasant. $10 minimum for cards.
Food was delicious and affordable. Definitely will be coming back again. Everyone that worked there was really friendly and inviting.
This is a great casual, neighborhood diner. The staff was friendly and prompt whenever asked for something. The food was great and the prices are very reasonable. It was a great way to start the day and a perfect weekend addition. Note: there is credit card minimum of 10$ but they have an atm if you dont reach it.
I like this place. I generally go there in the AM for breakfast. The ladies are nice, and thats what I look for besides great food, when I go to a place of business.
Standard dinner food, but still good. I had eggs, home fries, and french toast and cleaned my plate. Waitress was really nice and friendly, but it seemed to take a while to cook our food even though they didnt seem that busy. Probably a good bet if youre not in a hurry.
It’s my father-in-law’s 75th birthday. Twelve of us traveled from all over to stay together in an Airbnb. We wanted a local diner within walking distance, and came across this place. It’s a total hole in the wall. Pretty small, but we all got tables. The service was great, really friendly. The food was awesome. Super low key. Really great!
Service was terrible. The waitress made so many excuses. DO NOT GO HERE. I have to give one star, but Id rather give no stars. The waitress was high on something, and it wasnt life
Food good.
Ok so I originally wanted to go to Green Eggs Cafe across the street but they were closed for maintenance issues. However I went to this one. The table needed to be wiped down before we sat down. My friend orders a cheese steak and I had chicken and waffles. Its was UNTIL A CAT CAME FROM THE BACK AND RUBBED ON MY LEG!!! I INSTANTLY LOST MY APPETITE!!. TO TOP IT OFF THE LADY PICKED THIS HEFTY CAT UP AND TOOK IT......NOT WHERE ITS CAME OUT FROM BUT PASSED IT BY THE FOOD WHERE ITS BEING COOKED. IF THE FOOD WASNT GD I WOULD HAVE RATED THIS 1 STAR FOR LOCATION. SMH. 1ST AND LAST TIME HERE FOR ME. BUT IT SEEMS EVERYONE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD GOES THERE.
Good Food but they make up prices. So be careful and always ask them to show you the price.
People are rood... the young lady who took my order disbnot know how to tall to people.... I tell people all the times it how u talk to people ..And the price $4.50 for some cheese home fries.. thank was small as ever.... I the waiter dont know the prices.. the man at the register did not know the prices.. this is your place of business .. you cant make this up.. so not happy with the service... only in the hood
Eggs and home fries were great! Omelettes looked great too. Bacon was excellently crispy.
It cant get any better.if you want mouth watering Fish and Grits with Eggs or Fish. Eggs and Hash brown potatoes this is the place to visit.clean, fast service, convenientStreet meter parking.
Quick service on a busy Saturday morning. Decent diner food. Exactly what I expect walking into a diner.
Friendly staff in a cute part of town. We had no trouble finding parking on a Sunday morning. Cheap and filling food, which is just what we were looking for.
Its an excellent diner and its very good with timely service.
Ive eaten here a few times and love the atmosphere as well as the staff. Very family oriented and you can definitely tell! Menu selection is what you would expect from a philly diner and food is prepared right on the spot. Perfect for quick breakfasts and lunches if youre looking for a warm meal
Whenever im within 10 blocks of this place they get my money hands down. Nice environment, clean and friendly staff. They have good food only hick up is they close early but they are open early to so its a wash.
The restaurant is very dirty the walls are not wiped down at all. When you work there the owner only gives you 1 day for 2 weeks. The food is good but the staff sucks. Their is only ine good worker there. The kitchen staff says i f___ing quit every time he gets an order. And also grunts under his breath as well. Your toast is never hot cause as soon as you do an order they drop the toast instead of waiting til almost the order is ready.
Nice clean atmosphere is friendly, great place to get to know your neighborhood. Will visit agan.Didnt eat too much just had coffee and omelet. Taste great very good price .
Biased Establishment. I hate to leave these type of reviews however, My husband and I came here for breakfast. I ordered two egg and cheese bagels with spinach, tomato and fried onions over the phone. The owner of the establishment informed me there was a $10 minimum for using a debit card. My order came up to $8.64 so the owner said I can get a water so my bill could be $9.64 then said it was close enough to $10 so it was okay to use the card.Upon paying for the order a Caucasian guy was in front of me paying for his order which came up to $8.10. He handed her the card and she proceeded with the transaction. No statements or questions asked.I then asked her to take the water off and my bill came up to $8.64. I handed her the card and she quickly caught an attitude telling me there is a $10 minimum for card transactions. I kindly asked for the card and headed out the door.Clearly something is not right with this establishment. Anyone who believes fair is fair should not dine at this restaurant. The owner is biased and disrespectful.
The food is okay. Young lady who wait on me was really nice. The cook was mean
Good food and fair prices. In a no frills setting
I feel like family when I come they know my name and when I call they know exactly what I want and the food is awesome
Sorry I dont ever remember this place whatever I got I have no idea I hope someone else can give them a better rating I cant I dont remember the name of it I dont remember purchasing anything but I probably went in there with someone else
Awesome,my husband attempted to get my order the waitress said she usually gets this ...he says ok and she was right... Love this place
Very friendly, generous portions, simple setting. It was open Christmas morning which we greatly appreciated!
Good food served by friendly staff! Free refills on tasty coffee, and we got everything for a good price!
Ran across this place googling breakfast in my area since Im fairly new to the area. Everything Ive tried is delicious. The french Toast and chicken and broccoli omelette are my favorites.
Awesome food. Sometimes the ladys can be a little goofy but its very well organized
I have been in this establishment several times for breakfast. This morning my partner and i went for breakfast and sat at the counter . I watched the owners wife pulling toast out of the trash and tell the new waitress not to waste bread. I would have never known it is inconceivable that the owners wife would be doing this in front of customers much less at all and the only reason she didnt put the toast on mine or someone else plate is because she heard me gasp in shock. Like never again will i eat from here again 😷🤒😷🤒
I work near by and would frequent this diner often with no problem. Until last week when i went in and everyone was very rude. The young woman at the counter was very rude taking my order (which she got wrong) and didnt apologize. Then the owner was rude and rushing me to pay eventhough i was dining in. I think that was my last visit.
My family and I have eaten then many times. The food is good, the portions are nice and the prices are reasonable. We live about a mile away a go at least once a week. Check them out
Food is good however the cook doesnt read very well. My friend ordered mild sausage and was served a hot sausage in his meat omelette.
The food is good and at a good price. But there service is absolutely horrible. They are poorly managed, understaffed, uncoordinated and plain inconsiderate of their customers time and life. When you wait 20 mins for something as simple as oatmeal or a bagel Its ridiculous and those are the wait times daily for stuff thats pre-made. Just really bad poor service.
UNPROFESSIONAL! UNPROFESSIONAL! Moved to Brewerytown this past summer. Getting to know the neighborhood, I walked a few blocks looking for food. I attempted to eat here 3 separate times. Day one: I walked in and grabbed a menu. No one greeted me. Second time: waitress and I caught eye contact but she ignored me and got on her phone. Told myself, third times a charm! The owner stood at the register as I walked in. I smiled, she looked away. I looked over the menu for about 10 minutes. Nobody said hello. Nobody brought silverware. Nobody knew I was even there! I wont give it anymore attempts.
Found this diner after a row on the river. Great food, service and value! The Big Mama breakfast platter hits the spot.
Clean breakfast was good and good service
Breakfast was tasty and Service was polite I would eat here again and bring a friend 👍
Worst service I have ever experienced. Ive eaten there at least four times and I always have to wait at least 45 minutes to eat. Even when the place is not crowded.
Very good food. I just 💘 the French toast. You wont be disappointed. Trusted!!
Great food, great price, great service.
Good food ... they need to do some up keep tho !!!
Love this place. Great prices, friendly and attentive staff, and breakfast that even my grandma would like ((grandma was amazing in the kitchen))
Food was excellent; service was fast and courteous would recommend
Terrible service, ignorant staff, food doesnt match the menu. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time or money here.
Solid breakfast joint in Brewerytown with super fair prices
Good breakfast food Quick service early
A solid scrapple egg and cheese sandwich, and a hot cup of coffee at a good price, and served up by a friendly staff.
The food was excellent, however, the customer service at this place is horrible. I ordered over the phone and they forgot to put egg on my breakfast sandwich something that comes with the #B5 order. When I called to inform them, I got ALOT of attitude. They tried to tell me that I didnt order it, that I should have specified and then hung up on me. Worst service I have ever received in this neighborhood.
Great chicken and waffles. Home fries can use some work.
Great breakfast sandwiches! Miss Donna is the best!
Pretty good for breakfast
Good food and fast service. Friendly atmosphere.

Loud with kids running around. Random men walking in and out asking for money
Xtremely expensive for no reason, 4.65 for a blt sandwich. Damn.
Nice and warm
Well made comfort food
Clean, friendly, great food!
