Dr. Dang has been our family optometrist going on 5 years. I am so happy we found him. Not only is he highly knowledgeable on eye care, he and Mrs. Dang set a wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel at home. I always enjoy our yearly checkups and any in between visits needed. Dr. Dang is absolutely the best optometrist that I have ever seen. I have been wearing glasses for 44 years. He takes the time to make sure that he has the prescription perfect. This is the best I have seen in many years with my contacts as well as my glasses. The contacts that my old Dr. recommended made it very dangerous for me to drive at night. The new contacts that Dr. Dang recommended allows me to see as well as I do with my glasses. It is no longer dangerous for me to drive at night with contacts. His wife is also very pleasant and very helpful in picking out the right frames. No one in the past has ever offered to help me pick frames out. I usually spend hours looking for the right frame. With her help, I was done in less than 15 minutes. My only regret is that I wish I would have found him sooner.

I had seen the good reviews about Dr. Dang, but, even so, he exceeded all my expectations. I usually never do reviews, but the service I received today compelled me to do it. After doing the most comprehensive eye exam I had in years and listening carefully to my concerns during the appointment without rushing it, he referred me to specialist that could help me better with my condition. He even took the time to make the call and do the appointment for me. His wife was also extremely kind. I’ve seen may optometrist in the past and truly never encountered a more professional and friendly office.

Dr. Dang is amazing and really cares! Ive been coming here since 2017. Each time Im impressed with his knowledge and know my eyes are in good hands. He even recommended that I visit my primary Dr. because of my blood pressure. Im glad I did. His wife who works the front desk is also kind and patient. Great atmosphere !

My entire family and I have been Dr. Dang’s patients since 2008! We like that his office is a near commute to our house in Pearland. He’s professional, friendly and very family oriented. He has helped my mom especially 2 years ago after getting her eyebrows waxed and the wax particle dropped on her R eye and caused an eye abrasion. She was in such pain and we are glad Dr. Dang was able to help treat her accordingly. His staff are also very friendly, nice, and accommodating and I can usually drop by and have my eyeglasses adjusted. His work ethic: eye exams, eye assessments are very thorough! He takes his time with each of his patients and never rushes through it. He’s very easy to have a conversation with and an attentive listener when I have questions to ask or need further explanation. He has always given friendly advice and words of encouragement especially during the time while I was taking prerequisites for nursing.

5 stars to Dr Dang! I came to him because my eye sight was worsening. I was wearing contacts and glasses to read and was frustrated. He was very thorough and really personalized the experience. I now wear contacts to work and glasses on the weekend and am very happy. Last year I had an excruciating pain in my right eye. I called his office to see if he could look at it. He called back with the name and location of the eye specialist. He had already verified my insurance and made an appointment for me to be seen immediately. I had an ulcer on my eye and could have suffered permanent damage. I trust Dr. Dang with my eye care and I follow all of his instructions without fail. I have referred 3 people to him who have had the same experience.

Dr. Dang and team are amazing! I’ve been a patient since 2014. He’s very knowledgeable, patient, THOROUGH and CLEAN. (I have to wash my hands before touching my eyes each time, lol) He ensures every exam is comprehensive, takes his time to check every component of your eyes’ health, has multiple devices to check the quality of your vision and takes his time explaining the test results all while asking sincere questions about you and your family. Blown away by the level of service the Doctor provides. he spent a lot of time making sure my prescription was perfect. probably 50-100 iterations of lenses. most of the time, i might have had 10-20 total. he takes the time which i appreciate. highly recommend.

Dr. Dang and his wife run one of the best eye doctor offices I have ever been to. Not only are they spot on with my prescription each time, but they offer great frames that my insurance covers. I never have any issues with getting blinded sided with a large bill either. Mrs. Dang writes up the prices and what your insurance covers for each frame you are interested in. I love this because it lets me know when Ive hit my limit. Usually there are three frames total we go through, and she is completely honest with how they look on me. That is great considering I have had my share of granny frames in my life.

Dr Dang is simply the best Optometrist all around. He takes his time, is very detailed and explains everything. First of let me start by saying that I have been in glasses since i was in elementary. He has been by far THE VERY BEST doctor I have been to. I have seen all types of specialist due my terrible vision. He has been the only doctor to take his time and thoroughly perform a vision exam. He was also the only doctor to have noticed a retinal detachment that had been occurring for a while, take in mind he caught it right after I had gone to see another doctor three months earlier for the same problem. He patiently explained the situation to me and got me to see a specialist the very next day. Needless to say Dr. Dang saved me from a possible retinal detachment. Also my four year old daughter was blessed with my vision problems and Dr. Dang was able to refer me to a great pediatric doctor who noticed a swollen optic nerve which was due to swelling in the brain from an unknown foreign object. She is great now but again due to the preventative maintenance and attention to detail that Dr. Dang gives all his clients will make me a patient for as long as he is practicing. I do and will continue to sing the praises of Dr. Dang and his office, it is worth the drive from clear across town!!!!

What makes him exceptional however is the fact that he saved my vision.In 2012 I had sudden eye pain that got worse over a few days. I picked up the phone and spoke to his wife who manages the office and let her know what was going on, and without hesitation told me to come right away. After Dr. Dang thoroughly examined my eyes, he not only referred me to a neuro-ophthalmologist (who knew those existed), but made sure I had an appointment to get in right away. Inevitably, this led to me being hospitalized to restore my vision.I am so indebted to Dr. Dang for what he did for me. This just goes to show he is astute enough to recognize anomalies, but down to earth enough to joke around and smile with his patients.I have since brought my husband and mother-in-law to see Dr. Dang and his staff, and highly recommend him to everyone I know. My mother-in-law said she has never had a more thorough eye exam in her life. She is 73 years old, so that’s saying something!Basically he is the best eye doctor ever, his wife is an angel, and I have nothing but admiration for them. This place is located conveniently off the 288 hwy so it is not hard to miss! Dr. Dang was very thorough with my eye examination. I came in for a regular eye exam when he had suggested to dilate my eyes to see of any potential eye diseases or disorder. He discovered I had a torn retina! If he had not suggested to have my eyes dialated, then I would have never thought of having anything wrong with my eyes. I will be coming back here for my routine eye exams.

I went in yesterday to have my eyes checked for the very first time in my 28 years of life and I can absolutely say that Dr. Dang is one of the best eye doctors out there. I had a thorough check up and did dilation which was good coz I was able to have a better understanding of my eye health. Everything went smooth. Texas State Optical is run by a family. Dr. Dangs wife is the front office associate herself and they have the best customer sevice. Id give them 6 stars out of 5.

Dr. and Mrs. Dang are a great team. Mrs. Dang fits the glasses and Dr. Dang does the rest. He uses the best lenses that are light weight and easy to wear. Tried glasses from WalMart. Retirned them after a week of misery and went directly to Pearland TSO. Best decision ever.
