Josh was amazing at helping us replace our catalytic converter after it was stolen. I really appreciate all his help and patience as we are a one car family. He even helped us make a way to deter thieves in the future. Will defiantly use Midas in Olympia for now on.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Was Having a hard time find a place for an oil change on my 25 ft class C RV(Ford chassis, E450). Either shops cannot accommodate this size RV or its too expensive($200+). Midas did it for $60. I also asked them to remove the inner dually valve stem extension due to a leak. They checked it and said they only needed to tighten the valve. Then checked and corrected all 6 tires PSI...no charge. Quite happy with the service and price.

I had a bunch of small things wrong with my car.They replaced my power steering pump and high pressure line. Only for those to never stop leaking.They resolved my oil plug leaking by using a different type of washer that didnt come with the manufacturer replacement.They replaced my valve cover gasket to only use the tube squeeze stuff and not an actual gasket. But keep in mind. I paid almost $4000 for them to do all this.Within 1yr of them fixing it all my problems came back. They dont fix anything and theyre no better than your corner used car dealerships.They cut every corner possible and lie straight to your face to make you feel better.

Excellent service. Down to earth and fast. Cody helped diagnose a problem that the dealership missed twice. All while he got the oil and lube done. Would definitely recommend!

Came in a month ago with AC not working. Was told that they needed to check the entire system, but would do it free since I was Spending so much money there again. Told me it just needed recharged. Stopped working 3 days later. Came back to fix it, was told ENTIRE crew was fired. Told that they would ACTUALLY test it again, for free, and I pay the shop fees, labor fees, and parts. Told it was 2 valves. $30 each. Total of $300 .....after a coupon I found. 1 day later, NOT WORKING AGAIN. Mgr has left for the day today.. I have spent over 6 hrs in this shop of MY time, for a repair that has NEVER been repaired properly. Apparently, the owner of this branch does not appreciate customers :/

I wish I would have listened to the reviews. Ive dropped almost a grand, brought my car back twice, and my air conditioner is still malfunctioning. The first time I picked it up, I signed for it, went outside, and it wasnt even running. A mechanic came out, opened the panel, and sat there and worked on it for another twenty minutes to get it going. Its still making noises and sounds like its going to die.Thanks for the generic response. My car is spilling water out of the AC. You did absolutely nothing to repair it, but you took a grand and three days of my life from me.

Tried to charge $70 for an air filter that costs $20 and less then 5 minutes to replace. I understand there is a mark up, but $50 mark up is ridiculous. Too expensive for me.Edit: after posting this, Midas customer service called me to ask about my review and were dismissive of my concerns. There are so many other better mechanic shops in the area, avoid this one.

SCAM WARNING! BUYER BEWARE!In house financing is fake and they use this con repeatedly.The manager lied to me consistently about when my car would be finished. Then all said and done the manager stole my money and got fired. After that the owner took no responsibility for his actions and tried to reposses my car unless I paid the bill in full. I later found my receipts and the owner did not honor them and I ended up paying the bill again so I could retrieve my car. Upon getting my car back the work was far less than satisfactory and they managed to not give me a warranty either. Unbelievably bad service from the mechanics and the management here. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere.EDIT: IV contacted customer service more than once to no avail. I maintain my position. Still the WORST shop Ive ever been to.

Normally I love Midas. But today they charged me 30$ more than last time. The guy was completely rude when I asked why it was more. I called before picking up my truck, I was told 5 minutes and after waiting another 30 minutes I was told 10 more minutes. It took 2 hours for a simple oil change. I dont know what happened to the old employees but they are missed. Also the girl behind the counter had no idea what she was doing. I wont go back.

Clutch cable and master cylinder removed and replaced. Total charge was 693.00. Work done on 1/14/21. February 10th less than a month clutch went out again. Towed it up to Midas and they wanted another 156.00 to even look at again. These people should not be in business. We are out 700.00 and back where we started. Shame on them. Needless to say we will never ever go there again.

The workers here were NOT WEARING MASKS. I felt unsafe because of that and it ruined my experience. I drove home with the windows down and put hand sanitizer on everything in he car and my keys.I will not go here again. Not sure if it’s just this location on Kenyon st. Olympia or if it’s all Midas. But this is unacceptable at this point for a place of business to not care about the safety of their customers.Also the front desk person casually made fun of me for stalling my car while parking.Please do better, Midas.

Did a great job on my car and cost seemed reasonable. That being said the office staff needs work. I have had problems with them on two occasions. One time an office worker followed me out to the parking lot in order to hit on me. Another time I was stuck in the office listening to a workers political conspiracy theories. I found both instances to be exceptionally unprofessional and will not be returning.

Went there recently for an oil change. Made an appointment in advance and showed up at my appointment time but they told me I didn’t have one. None of their staff were wearing masks as required due to COVID. One guy put a mask on at the end when he brought my car out to me, but they’re clearly not taking the mask orders seriously. If you’re high risk for COVID or living with/caring for others who are, would recommend going elsewhere.

Stay away from this place. They always treated me well in the past, but the new person at the front counter was super unprofessional, had the personalty of a rock and seemed all he cared about was up-selling. I brought my car in for an engine tune-up, tire rotation and an oil change. They quoted me $800+ for those and other maintenance items that they insisted I needed. One of the items they said I needed was a transmission flush. I just had a transmission service 10,000 miles ago, so I know I dont need one of those. I told him to replace the air filter, rotate the tires and do the oil change and that was it. When I got there to pick up my vehicle, they had changed the cabin air filter as well, which I did not ask for. (It was just replaced 5,000 miles ago.) Then they charged me $65 labor to replace said filter. I know that they did not rotate my tires like they said they did and they didnt bother resetting my maintenance light in my car. I will never trust them again and will not be going back. Its a shame because I really was impressed with them in the past.

These guys are awesome! Our brakes were being super loud and we were dreading a huge expense. I was at work and filled out the online estimate form and got an email back within about 30min! They informed us about a thorough check (test drive, disassemble, etc) of our brakes for just $39. They were able to get us in right away and about an hour later, we find out the culprit was just a rock! They ended up not even charging us the $39 (which we would’ve happily paid).They’re friendly, knowledgeable, quick and human! Brakes are important and they were able to squeeze us into their surely-full schedule the morning. We really appreciate that, it would’ve been horrible to get turned away for an urgent (or so we thought) brake issue.We communicated mostly with Ken and we wholeheartedly recommend this team. We will be coming back here for our future auto needs.

Please do not get your oil changed here... My daughter brought her car to them and dropped it off, they called about 15 minutes into the appointment to tell her she had over a $1000.00 in repairs needed. They told us her oil was leaking and that we would need to repair gaskets. we have never seen oil droppings in our new garage. Well we decided to just get the oil changed, and not have repairs done. that night we did have oil leaking in our garage, and decided to take the car to another mechanic, well low and behold we did not have any gaskets that needed to be repaired we had a crack in the oil plug and that was a $20.00 repair job and I feel Midas may have caused that. Just dont use this place..

Wow, what amazing service. I had a Geo tracker that quit on me. I towed it to Terry’s automotive down the street where they were trying to charge me 5,000$ for a new motor! It didn’t leave the spot I towed it to which leaves me to believe they didn’t even really take a look at it. I stumbled into Olympia Midas in early February 2020 by happenstance and I am so grateful I did. I was met with the upmost professional. The manager was so friendly and listened to me completely. After walking in I felt comfortable towing it to Midas, now towing is not cheap so I was really gambling my luck. I dropped my 1992 geo off and less than 2 days I got her back running pristine out the door for $800. The mechanic did a check through my entire car trying to figure out what was wrong. Checking every little thing. The manager constantly updated me on how my car was doing, what they were doing, and quotes. Olympia Midas saved me money and time. I have now found a place where I feel comfortable bringing my vehicle knowing I’m in good hands.Thank you so much Olympia Midas.Thank you mechanic Nick.Thank you store manager Aaron.

The person at the front counter was not very professional or friendly. I felt like a nuisance. However, they did do a good job on my brakes and I do have a lifetime warranty there.

The people at the counter are always amazing and super responsive to feedback in the surveys. Always under half hour for a oil change. Pretty straightforward and not pushy. Guys in the garage always a little less than casual but always do a good job.

We went in to have our Volvo station wagon diagnosed for coolant seal problem. They told us we need a new radiator and spark plugs and coils. But all of those things were replaced 6 months ago. We got back home checked under the hood and lo and behold our hood release was broken and barely held together by a fresh ziptie and our splash guard bolts were left loose. No disclosure, trying to con people.

On November 13th, I took my Ford Bronco to Midas to have a clanking noise diagnosed. The inlet pipe on my lifetime warranted muffler was broken and I was told that they would need to order me a new muffler and it would be in on Friday of that week. When I arrived for my 2 pm appointment on Friday, I was shown a replacement muffler that was for duel exhaust, while my Bronco has a single exhaust. Furthermore, the service writer told me that my lifetime warranty would not cover parts and labor, only parts. When my original documentation clearly showed that both were covered. He informed me that the policy of covering labor had changed, and I would not be grandfathered in, and there was nothing he could do about it per the owners instructions. In addition, they would need to research and reorder to get me the correct muffler. I have been a Midas customer for over 30 years, and have taken multiple vehicles to a variety of locations, with no trouble before. Accordingly, I took the Bronco to another location further north, and they were able to determine the correct exhaust, and were able to order it for install the next Tuesday. They promptly made an appointment for me to have it installed, and stated that parts and labor would both be covered by my lifetime warranty. On Tuesday, I arrived for my appointment, and in less than an hour, it was expertly installed for no charge by their friendly service writers and crew. Wednesday evening the service writer from the previous location, called to let me know that they figured out how to process my request while only having to pay for half the labor. Without telling him that another Midas location had already installed the correct muffler, I told him that half price was not satisfactory. He rudely told me that if I expected it to be covered in full by the lifetime warranty, I was living in Disneyland. He was extremely rude and disrespectful, I will never go back there again. Although, I will gladly use other Midas locations.

Great place. Came in for an oil change and the service was excellent and they were honest people. Prices for oil change are very very reasonable. I will be coming back.

Had my wifes car brakes redone here a while back and they were super friendly so when I started having trouble with my car I went back. Had had my front brakes does about a year ago somewhere else. They started to shake so I thought I needed new front rotors. I took it in and they determined that the fronts were fine but the rear brakes needed redone. We set an appointment. I took it in and got a call that the rears needed redone and the front rotors were indeed warped. I mentioned that they had told me they were fine on the initial inspection. I was told they would do some more investigation. Long story short. They fixed my rear brakes and then turned the front rotors at no extra charge to me. That is great customer service. Oh yeah and all done with a smile.

Way over priced. Didnt ask for extra stuff, just wanted oil change and inspection done. Thats what I get for letting them call my husband instead of me because he had no idea what they were talking about. He thought they said 100 something not 1400 something. Ended up with 1400 bill with $600 tires which is bs and way over priced for a corolla. Should have waited for an appointment at the Lakewood location.

Took my car in because my brakes were grinding. Customer service was fantastic, I was shown what was wrong with my car and told exactly what was recommended, given a written estimate, and told aout financing options. Overall a great experience, even if my car needed a lot more work than I was hoping. Absolutely would recommend.

These guys have been my mechanics for years now and they take great care of my car. They have always been professional and easy to talk to. They help with financing if you need it, and they are always taking care of this or that for no charge, like fixing my windshield wiper fluid tube that cracked and came loose. That was just during an oil change. 😊👍

I went into this shop needing an upper ball joint replaced. After inspecting my truck, it was determined that my trucks upper ball joint was fine. Another local shop seems to be trying to take advantage and diagnosing falsely. I appreciate the honesty of my technician Preston. I decided to have some exhaust work done and it sounds great. I took my car in for a simple oil change and was told I needed multiple services done, so out of convenience I agreed to have all of it taken care of. After paying over $600 my “check engine” light came on, on my way home from Midas and at that point it was too late to take it back. I gave them a second chance and took my car in again to have my oil and my headlight changed and was told my headlight would be free of charge because I decided to give them another chance. I was called later and informed my headlight was “more difficult than a normal car” so I would be charged $65, even though I supplied the headlight myself, so that was strictly for labor. My headlight stopped working after 2 weeks. Needless to say, I took my car to my local mechanic and it cost me $20 for much better service and a (now) functional headlight. I will NEVER go back to Olympia Midas.

Got me in right away. $18 oil change sale didnt apply to newer cars. Over $80 even though I was quoted $48. Dealer was cheaper.

Charged me to put in a broken fuel pump. They had my car for a week, granted I lived in a different city at the time so thats fine. But you would think when someone says they think they know what the problem is and refuses to fix it after youve given them what they asked, is just a little fishy to me. These guys are out to line their pockets, just like most other mechanics. It took me 40 minutes to take a part the fuel pump and figure out what the actual problem to my car was. In their words, we used every trick in the book. To fix my car, and then charged me $800, just to find out the part they put in was broken. When I asked them to replace it a few weeks later, I was met with excuses and laziness. In my experience with this outfit, they will charge outrageously, while at the same time do the least amount of work possible. By the time I had left there they had told me three different things was wrong with my car. Now I know after doing it myself, none of those suggestions were correct.

This location was used for a simple but non-typical exhaust welding project I had as a backyard mechanic. I called a handful of places, nobody came near the price this location gave me. He told me to bring it in and it would just take a few minutes (it really did, super simple work I requested).. I went in, they welded the flange on, quick and easy. Worked out well for me, job completed as promised. Thanks

Not a bad service! Replaced oil but had no tool to replace oil filter... Did not charge me a cent. I had to take it to another shop to replace the oil filter. Overall, the manager was pretty honest and straight forward. Thank you.

Took a friends car in with a back left brake caliper sticking. Was quoted 850 dollars just to replace back calipers! Told me he would do one caliper for 650!!! What a rip off!!! Was quoted 550 for rear caliper and rotor replacement at Les Schwabb. Will not be back. 850 dollar caliper job!!! Wow!!!

Recently has the guys at Midas work on my car. It was in really bad shape (cooling issues, broken starter, and general wiring issues) and they managed to pull it all together. I cannot speak highly enough of these guys and the skill level that is in this shop. Theyre also very good at customer service. I dont think I called one time and didnt get an answer.Very efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

This Midas has changed owner/management and they are terrible. My long-time mechanic, who has worked there 11 years, has been treated very badly by the new owner. Pay lowered, hours cut BEfore the pandemic. Now has used this as an excuse to put him on calls at a shop 40 miles away. The guys there now are a motley bunch and not nearly as trustworthy as before. New owner pushing up sells, just general quality of service lost. Pass them by.

Needed help sorting out several related issues with the car and developing a budget for the work. They were very helpful.

Said that they did the work/inspection but when looking at inspection sheet it was obvious that they had not done any of it. When questioned about it they claimed it had been done. It wasnt until being questioned multiple times that they finally did the inspection. I also paid for a tire rotation but that was not done. I attempted to contact them via their website but never heard back. I want to talk to them. This place is a scam, and if I dont hear from them I will be contacting the BBB.

I am extremely impressed with Ricks friendliness and professionalism from the time i got on the phone and upon completing the job. I expected a $400+ bill for a brake job when the guys at firestone in sleater kinney told me i needed new pads due to a thinning brake pad. I dont get why my 4runner had 48K miles that required a brake job-according to firestone? So, i made an appointment with midas due to the cheaper quote. Ryan the technician took the tires off and inspected it. I described the issue, he placed the tire back on and took it for a test drive. Upon his return, he determined the brakes were normal, the pads were still in good condition and didnt need replacement. What a relief! I saved $400 and all i needed was a synthetic oil change for $70+. I am so impressed with their ethical business practice and honesty where others kept telling me i needed new rotors and brake pads. (Firestone & Les schwab). A few key points: the place is very clean, the restroom is well kept, the coffee is good, they got me in earlier than my appointment and theres free wifi. I could never reiterate enough how satisfied i am with this place! Thank you to Rick and Ryan for an outstanding job. Repeat customer for sure.

Did not honor advertised special

I was here for 12 hours. I came in for an all brakes service. They totaled the cost after they broke most of the parts on my car and the cost was well over the value of my car. After reciving a fair discount, I told them to go ahead. They then repeatedly took off my brakes and put new ones on and off because they ordered the wrong parts. Then, the parts guys from different stores came back atleast 5 times. They had offered me a ride home three times but I declined because this is my only car and I would have no way back. After the entire service, I spoke to an employee who told me he just came from highschool. Hm.. I was at Midas until a hour and half after closing. When I returned because my parking brake goes all the way back now, my steering veers to the side which feels scary on the freeway, and my car does not like to stay in place, Nick told me it would be done that day more than likely, but when I came in, he said it would not be done till the next day. I left and WILL NOT go back. After spending an entire saturday at Midas, I would have expected better because the Midas touch. Nope. They touch your car and ruin it.

My girlfriend took our Kia there to get an oil change and they did the free overall inspection. They told her that they put all the tires to 33psi since they were all over the place. After she left she notice the low tire pressure warning was on. She called them and was told to bring it in the next day. They told her a razor blade was in the tire and driving with the low pressure had caused irreparable damage. Unfortunately for their wallets, they did not have the tire in stock so she was sent to Les Schwab were she was informed that the reason the tire was actually deflating was because Midas did not put the valve cover back on correctly... so after wasting a day and almost having to spend 200 dollars for a non-existent problem, we both know we will never go to Midas again

Used them.for an Uber inspection, took less then 10 minutes. Not memorable here just a normal Midas...

Came in to get a brake inspection and the staff was prompt and friendly. Had the inspection done in an hour and it only took a few more to get the needed repairs completed.
