Absolutely amazing experience! Ravin took such amazing care of my Fiancé And I. Her engagement ring came out ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! They harp and stress so much about the “brilliance” of the diamond and I have NEVER seen a diamond sparkle so much! From the second my fiancé walks into the room people stop and stare on how “BRILLIANT” it is! They are true to there word! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My husband purchased my 2.15 carat diamond engagement ring from David about 5 years ago. The ring is beautiful, but I always found it to be a little cloudy looking and not as sparkly as one would hope for the price. Since then we moved out of the city, and I have spoken to several different jewelers/gemologists about my diamond after taking it in to be cleaned over the years. All three agree that the diamond is terribly cut and recommended having it recut which unfortunately would reduce the carat size to 1.7-1.8 carats. My poor husband paid David $23,300 for the diamond. The three jewelers/gemologists that I have spoken to price similar diamonds around $15,000. I know jewelers have to make a profit, but $8,300 is a considerable difference. If you search loose diamonds online, you can also find similar ones based on color, cut and clarity priced around $13,000 consistently. Of course everyone that we interacted with at David S was extremely nice, but I feel like we definitely got taken advantage of. It pays to do your research and shop around. Sadly, we will not be purchasing any additional jewelry at David S in the future.

My husband bought my stunning 1 ct solitaire at David S @18 years ago. David S was recommended to him by his brother - who used David S and who heard about David S from another friend. We all live in NC. My husband flew up to NYC spent an hour or two designing the perfect ring - also using some small diamonds on the side from my grandmothers ring for sentimental purposes. It is a solitaire with a partial pave band. I get so many compliments on my ring and bands that encompass and love the fact that I have not seen another exactly like it.After looking at jewelry stores in our area, there was no way we would have been able to afford my ring through a reputable dealer or even a cheaper dealer. This is because my diamond only has a small ocllusion and the rest of the Cs are very good. When I take to my local highly reputable dealer for a cleaning they always coment on the quality of diamond and look of the ring. I have never been happier and continue to tell anyone in the market for a ring to go to David S.

We got engaged back in December with a token ring while on vacation. My fiance wanted my input in choosing the ring, so with a friends recommendation we made an appointment with Ravin at David S. Diamonds. Ravin was terrific to work with! We explained to him that we were shopping around trying to figure out budget/style etc. and we never felt pressured or uncomfortable. He gave us so much information on diamonds and what to look for when shopping. He showed us different stones/price points and taught us about the 4 Cs using the tools of the trade. He even quizzed us on which one we thought was most expensive, best clarity, most flawless etc.(we got these wrong every time). After our first appointment we had a better idea of what we wanted and shopped around the diamond district. We spoke to some jewelers and researched online sellers but we quickly realized that no one would beat Ravin in price or quality. Not one of the loose diamonds we were shown was as memorable as what we had seen at DSD. After a couple of weeks we scheduled another appointment to design our custom ring. We decided on a beautiful 1.5 carat stone in a halo micro prong, platinum setting. Our all in price with DSD was under the budget we gave him including fees and shipping! We were being quoted over our budget for smaller stones with similar quality (not including the setting) with all other vendors. If you want the best bang for you buck, go see Ravin at David S.
