Pharmacy staff was rude and wildly incompetent. Tried to get (and eventually got) a flu shot here. Multiple staff members couldnt figure out my (standard) Blue Cross insurance card. Then they claimed that my insurance was expired. I called CVS customer service while in the store, and they were able to figure everything out (the customer service person told me that all the information they needed was in the computer system that the pharmacy staff has access to). Ive never felt so mistreated in a medical setting in my life. I understand that this location primarily acts as a store for tourists, but if youre going to provide medical services, the quality of that service needs to be greatly improved. Ironically, too, multiple members of the staff were not wearing masks.
I’ve never reviewed a CVS before, but this CVS should definitely be higher than 3 stars. I live nearby and it’s my go-to. I find there’s typically a staff member at the front door to greet me and answer questions, it’s well-staffed overall and the Pharmacists at the Pharmacy are attentive and care to help in whatever way they can.They do need to have Annie’s Mac & Cheese in stock though, they’re always out!
Nasty horrible woman who answered my pharmacy call 22 minutes of waiting. I needed my epilepsy medication transferred to another CVS pharmacy closer to me. This woman said to call the other store and refused to help get in contact with the other pharmacy because CVS pharmacy never answers calls and complain there too busy.
I like this location. The service is consistent and the greeters are always cheerful and upbeat. They add a nice touch when you enter and exit the location. They offer a wide range of products, many of which are on sale. They also have a lot of employees around for assistance without making it feel like youre being harassed. The beauty section is also great and the workers there are friendly and helpful. They do not lock up beauty items. Everything is on display and looks great. Theres a large selection and knowledgeable staff. They offer self check out kiosks which are perfect when youre in a rush. They also offer an atm which is convenient. And they have an elevator and escalators for easy access to the second floor. I like it and will continue to visit this location.
The pharmacy itself is okay, but the delivery service is unreliable. I had a prescription that I very much needed refilled. At around noon, after I got a text message saying it was ready for pick-up, I selected the delivery option online. I got a confirming text message that said it would be delivered between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the same day. When it didnt show up, I called, and it was still sitting at the pharmacy.If theyre going to advertise s delivery service, they need to get their act together!
Here, pharmacy staff and pharmacist do not their job. I have three prescriptions, they only give me one on the day. A week later, send me a message saying “the second medication is covered by insurance. “. And then the third one, they never mentioned it even though they have held my prescription for 10 days! Negligence here. I won’t go back to this pharmacy.By the way, always long line to pick up.
I went to the optical center for the first time, and what an amazing experience. The doctor and staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Even when the lens in my new glasses fell out after 2 days, I was simply told, come back in and well take care of it. A few days later my new glasses arrived, and they still werent to my liking. The staff worked with me until I found a pair that worked. FANTASTIC customer service, and I will continue to be a loyal customer. Id like to mention Yonathan by name, because he helped me immensely. A great team of professionals working there.
Worst CVS I have ever been to. The cashier Diana was disrespectful and refused to give me the name of the manager on duty which is Shanaz. The other cashier refused to give mme her name as well. Apparently, the DM Tarick Ali, is biased in his hiring and prefers to hire people his country of origin and he doesnt care if they are disrespectful to other customers. I believe Shanaz and Diana were rude and disrespectful because of the color of my skin. This shouldnt be allowed in this country.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ! The only way you can improve is to Put NICOLLETE the pharmacist in complete charge of all the pharmacists from CVS in Manhattan or Midtown. I’m 56 years old I have been in many CVS ‘s in Manhattan and New Jersey if I have to rate the others CVS’s locations I will rate them from 3 to 6 some are really bad the way they treat the customers others are average.The CVS I use now is a bit far to walk then the CVS in 10th Avenue with 53rd Street or CVS in 9th Avenue with 59th Street I’m on 55th between 9th and 10th and I walk to CVS on 8th Avenue with 57th WHY ?I have to say CVS on 8th Avenue with 57th Street —— From 1 to 10 I will Give a 105 Stars The pharmacist Nicollete is absolutely an OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL and all the Team that works there are amazing always with a smile, very polite, they care ! This is a horrible store! I work around the corner At FEDEX i never have any problems and i love coming here i also use to work at CVS when i was younger. I asked the cashier if there were any of the 36 cent caramel candy available. The cashier told me that it was in the aisle right next to the line. I proceeded to go over there but u didn’t have any so another team member proceeded to look for it. I decided i would get another candy because all i needed was cash back. While looking for the candy myself a white older white lady demanded that i hurry up and I’m wasting everyone’s time and proceeded to get rude with me. I ignored her and told her she just have to wait. The manager SAIJAD proceeded to tell me that i was wasting everyone’s time and they will now service the lady that was rude to me. I told him that isn’t fair i didn’t even take 5 minutes looking for the candy. He told me he doesn’t care and that’s how it is and i can leave. I’m a little taken aback by this because this does not follow the IHEART model which i know is part of your brand. It’s very unfortunate that you lost a customer and i will be telling my coworkers about my experience. I have to be rushed because it’s a long line and only one cashier? There’s no one at the ACOs helping customers and that’s my fault as a customer? I feel like because i was a black woman and she was an older white lady who wanted to be serviced soon as possible that she was better accommodated than myself. I did not like this situation at all not only did he choose the white elder lady side but he was also very rude and would not hear my side of the story. I guess if your young and blk downtown you’re a non factor because it isn’t the same demographic.

One of their cashiers had her mask down when she sneezed! Was it COVID?Her nose was visibly red enough that she should have been sent home instead of being allowed to continue working that day.
My experience with this Cvs was extremely uncomfortable. As soon as my friend and I got upstairs security was literally in every aisle starring me down. Even as we reached the escalator to head back down stairs he leaned over to watch us. When we finally Got downstairs he glared some more from the upstairs as we informed two female managers about the situation. One of the managers brushed it off while the other manager actually went upstairs and spoke to him. I would never make a purchase in an environment where I feel as though I am being stalked like I am a criminal. If you are going to stalk someone as such you might as well ask if they need assistance. Disgusting.
Donald who works nights is an absolute professional. super polite and helpful. theres also a woman working days (dont remember her name) who was able to work with me to make sure i was able to get all my medication despite me always putting things off to the last minute. and the staff that i work with when im just picking up (as opposed to any pharmacist) are always very friendly. always feel like the pharmacists are working against extreme odds (understaffed) to fill my prescriptions while the phone is ringing off the hook and im really grateful to all of them
Pharmacist is extremely rude. They filled my prescription incorrectly and would not correct THEIR mistake at first since I was passed the two week window. I had to argue to get my correct prescription and she threaten me that she would never do this again and this was my fault. Maybe if they gave me the correct prescription in the first place, we wouldn’t be in this situation.
Pharmacy at this location is horrible. My doctor has prescribed me a branded medication but these guys are keep on delivering the generic brand. On there request my doctor has sent the updated prescription multiple time for the branded medication but they’re guys are keep on declining that prescription. I have even reported the side effect of the generic brand but these guys doesn’t care. My insurance has also confirmed that if the pharmacy will send the request for branded medication insurance will have no objection, but no response. They are so horrible that they are not ready to release the prescription to transfer to another pharmacy.Avoid using this pharmacy at any cost if you can any to get the right medication. After 3 months of multiple follow up I finally gave up and now finally forced to pay another visit to another doctor and get the new prescription for another pharmacy.
THIS PHARMACY STAFF IS HANDS DOWN THE WORST. They are by far the rudest bunch of humans I’ve ever encountered. They refused to give me sudafed and Flonase from behind the counter without a script. Even though legally they’re supposed to when you provide a license. Called my doctor and asked for a script— she said she couldn’t believe they weren’t giving it to me and after waiting 40 mins they gave me CVS brand only EVEN WHEN MY DOCTOR REQUESTED BRAND ONLY. Save yourself the headache and walk to any other location. I will never go back to this location again.
Called to ask if they had something in stock and the girl that answered the phone was extremely rude. She gave her contradictory information and then said I’m answering your question.
Pharmacy is the worst as everyone here has said. I even had a delay for psych medication - which you can only imagine how that went down with how rude they are.

Worst pharmacy in manhattan ever. Extremely rude Pharmaceutical staff members. Not willing to even call the insurance providers to verify insurance benefits. I guess that they forgot that they are in the service industry. I wish Duane Read will open near by so I don’t have to come here again.
Terrible. Prescriptions are never filled after sent until you go in person and they have no excuse. Unbelievably bad service. They lie to your face saying the doctor sent the wrong thing, despite the doctor sending the same thing, every month, electronically. Theres never a manager to speak to, and for a year and a half this pharmacy has stolen my time and energy for no reason.
