I love this place. It’s a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant but you can’t get a better Cuban sandwich anywhere else. Also, it’s very cheap. A sandwich and a can of soda for $11.00.
Good food. Well worth the money.
Simple place for rice and beans...Nothing to shout about💥
Great Spanish food fast eat in or take out delivery great deals for your bucks
No.You dont mess up eggs.Strike 1: (visit 1) i did not get the eggs i ordered but I had already walked out because I took my food to go.Strike 2: (visit 2) gave them a second try and their bacon egg and cheese roll was terrible. For $5 the bread should at least be fresh and not a tough chewy flat disc. The eggs had black stuff on it--probably from a dirty grill.Strike 3: apart from a very poor egg sandwich one man charged me $6 then someone else came to ring me up and charged me $5.?!???!?Never coming back. If they cant get eggs or their prices right i dont want to try anything else.
Dude if you are in the area and you need some.spamish food this is that hidden gem
Love that I have Wash Heights flavor near my job in SoHo.
Huevos rancheros are very good!
Great place to eat Hispanic food
Cheap Spanish/Mexican restaurant within walking distance of the downtown hotels in NYC!
I came in late after the breakfast rush so I did not wait at all. Great coffee, fast service, amazing breakfast I got the Mangu con queso huevos y salami. It was amazing. The staff speaks spanish to each other so if that bothers you this may not be your place. I do not care what they are saying as long as the food comes out fast and it is delicous and it was. Portions are huge prices are very cheap. They accept credit and debit cards.
Came in here for breakfast only. For $10 it was plenty of food that included a coffee or tea. No frills kinda place but the service was good. I enjoyed their take on the home fries. Again, it was a decent amount of food for just $10. Can’t wait to come back and try their lunch.
I love this place. Everytime the food hits the spot! Its done quickly but the price is right for basically 2 meals because they give you a lot of food! If you go there it is cozy too and they also deliver. Awesome place! I will keep going back and recommending people go there.
One of my favorite Spanish food restaurants. Their food is absolutely delicious!!! Prices are reasonable. You also get a lot of food which often leave you full. Love this place. It gets crowded especially around lunch time however the service is really fast.
This is my favorite hole in the wall lunch spot. I heard they just sold the building so I hope they stay in business. Best deal in town. Any of their chicken dishes are amazing. Super homemade hot sauce is the best condiment Ive ever had. Keep up the good work. 20 stars!!!!
The best Dominican food downtown.
Fantastic place !
Great customer service but owner is getting rid of certain food combos that dont make sense to me. But I guess money might be issue. Place has potential due to staff but.....Prices gotten up. Food still great .
The place looks kind of rundown, not fancy really. BUT its the best lunch you can have in the neighborhood. Service is great, friendly, works well...and really there is nothing like their roast pork (pernil) with rice and beans. Dont forget the house red hot sauce. Honestly its incredibly tasty, I am pretty close to addiction here.
I use to eat there during my break from work like every 1-2 times a week but when I called for a delivery order Ive never been responded so loud and rude and disrespectful. You didnt understand my English? I asked to speak to someone who may understand me. the lady on the phone said shes busy and cant keep asking me for my information. I read it to her normally, I was too fast, I read it to her slower and now Im too slow, wft? Maybe you just hear to slow. And then hang up on me while Im asking for someone else to take my order? Too rude and disrespectful. Not worth going there anymore. Learn English or pass the phone to someone who may understand
I have eaten here for many years, the owners are like a family to me :). They cook with love. The rice and beans are spectacular, and they actually know how to soak and cook beans properly. The roasted chicken, oxtail, and the soups are some of my favorites.
I regret I only have five stars to give! Hectic at lunch but I always seem to snag a seat and the service is fast. The pictures tell it all. I would second Jons observation about the hot sauce. You have to ask for the good stuff.
The best in downtown on a budget ps call to check on the closing time it hasnt been updated
Nice plese send your mail id to ( [email protected]) thanks
Great place for South American good. Prices are reasonable. The service is very fast.
Great dominican food.
The Spanish food is amazing, cozy atmosphere. The best prices for being in TriBeCa.
Great service
Excellent food. Fast, friendly service. Hidden gem.
Huge portions!!! Great taste and not too expensive, the only thing i would say they are missing is a nice selection of natural juices.
Best mofongo I ever had! Only drawback is the Tribeca prices.
Best chicken platter I’ve had in a while—dark meat, yellow rice, beans on the side and their hot sauce is perfecr. Big portions too, so I’d get it for lunch and save half for dinner. Gets pretty busy during lunch time so they usually run out by 4/5pm.
Great Colombian spot. Great coffee. Clean restroom.
This place is really good. We were filming in the area and I stumble upon it. Now I always go back when Im in the area. I was filming downtown by City Hall and they even delivered. I highly recommend the beef stew.
Great find indeed, service is good, food is amazing and the sizes incredible fr the price
Sounds lovely, but I have only walked by it. So Google hounds me endlessly for a review.
My favorite rice and beans in the city! Ive only been for lunch but when I am there, even when its crowded, service is fast. Ive also had their steak burrito lunch special and its very good. Comes with rice and beans.
This place has a cozy, family owned vibe and both times Ive gone, theyve greeted me with a smile. Its modest, but the food is very affordable and keeps bringing me back because I want to try everything on the menu. I order fearlessly since I trust itll be bomb. Havent been disappointed yet. (Also some of the best diner coffee Ive had in the area). The best dish so far has been their chicken quesadilla a la chovi, which is filling and PACKED with meat. It goes a long way. Its well seasoned, served with sauce, and an abundance of sliced avocado, cheese, and beans. Also love it when they play Dominican music on the radio.
I try and go here every other week or so. The staff is very friendly, and they have delicious food. Try the chicken with onions and peppers. If youre feeling for something light, have it with the avocado salad.
Nice place to eat on a Sunday afternoon. The Spanish beef stew and roast pork (pernil) is excellent.
The service on a few occasions has been confoundingly bad, with people in my party getting their food way ahead of others, people not getting water after several requests and stuff such as that.Add to that sometimes the meat has been sketchy and its difficult to give this place more than 2 stars. Im willing to try again, because its a good value.
Very friendly and the only place where you can get a good Dominican breakfast. Very happy to find out about this place.
Customer service is good. Food is good no qualm.
Since I discovered this place, I go to it all the time. Good Caribbean-Mexican food at very reasonable prices. Try the Yellow Rice and Beans with Roast Chicken, and a side of fried plantains.
Good food👍not too good on the costumer service ...
Great spot hidden out here. The food was on point and the staff are friendly enough to engage into conversation with you as well.
Food is good and great people
The food is really good here esp the rice & beans with the chicken. The chicken stew is very good too.
One of the last orginal downtown rice and beans places ...some of the orginal employees still there holding it down.Orginal hot sauce, chicken burrito, steak and onions, tostones white rice black beans, yellow rice red beans no disappointments here ....
One of the best spots in the city. Always check the daily specials
My favorite place in all of Lower Manhattan & maybe even NY. The food is great, but it really has the best energy and atmosphere out of all the places I’ve eaten in NYC.
This place is gold. A real find! Very local diner style. But what I had was nothing short of fabulous.
Been coming to this restaurant for years the best tasting Spanish food that I ever had
Pernil tastier than Sophies. Very casual atmosphere. Ill be going back to try the mofongo and at least a few other dishes. Makes for a very hearty lunch.
Good food. Reasonable price
Canny little diner very reasonable priced and do great coffee and pork sarnie
Straightforward Caribbean hispanic food in a neighborhood not acclaimed for reasonably-priced dining options. Dont forget to ask for the choppped garlic in oil to go with your tostones.
I PUT ONE STAR BUT THEY ACTUALLY DESERVE 0 !HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE !!! IF YOU WORK IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ! I PLACED AN ORDER TODAY FOR DELIVERY @ 9:15am ORDERED 5 SIMPLE PLATES OF MANGU CON QUESO HUEVO Y SALAMI, COOL, SO I ASKED HOW MUCH THE TOTAL WAS GOING TO BE I WAS TOLD $39 . AT AROUND 10:41am I DECIDED TO CALL THE RESTAURANT TO SEE WHAT WAS TAKING SO LONG, I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE HERE SOON. FINE, SO AT 11am WHEN THE DELIVERY MAN SHOWS UP I WAS TOLD THE TOTAL IS $47! SO I DECIDED TO CALL THE RESTAURANT TO SEE WHY I AM BEING TOLD A DIFFERENT PRICE. I WAS YELLED AT BY ROSSY WHO IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, TOLD ME THAT WHEN SHE GAVE ME THE FIRST PRICE SHE MISCALCULATED THE TOTAL, WHICH IS VERY UNDERSTANDABLE WE ARE ALL HUMANS AND MAKE MISTAKES. HOWEVER, THERE IS A PROFESSIONAL WAY OF HANDLING SITUATIONS HAD I BEEN TOLD THE PRICE HAD CHANGED WHEN I CALLED TO CHECK UP ON THE ORDER THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDERSTANDABLE. YOU DO NOT HOWEVER YELL AT YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR YOUR MISTAKE !! Y SE LO PONGO EN ESPAÑOL TAMBIEN, MUY IMPROFESIONAL, NO SE LE GRITA A UN CLIENTE POR ERROR SUYO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good food and very kind atention
Authentic Latin food. Great lunch spot, good food, and large portions. Friendly staff; everyone speaks Spanish.
Great Dominican place. Just like it used to be. Great prices. Copious portions. BYO statins.
Good hearty food, excellent service
The food was too bold, plain and the place feels uncomfortable
This is what you want from your Caribbean diner. Solid, fresh food, fast and cheap. Its like the old La Taza de Oro on 8th ave and 15th street.
Good Food, Great Place, Friendly Staff
Great Hispanic food and greatest service
Authentic Dominican food in Tribeca with very friendly service. A definite New York experience.
Really good coffee with an unexpected Latin vibe
Enormous platters of Dominican specialties. Love their Pernil with yellow rice and black beans.
Great food, low cost, big portions.
Great food, relaxed and just a wonderful little joint.
Delicious food at an affordable cost.
Nice cafe shop.
The best breakfast and lunch ever!
Modest, but the food is very affordable.
Delicious Dominican cooking, food prices.

Im not a big fan of their rice and beans too much but the mofongo is Awesome! I wish they would have Mangu more often its (smashed boiled plantans with fried salami and cheese with red onions) great for breakfast but they always run out😫
Los recomiendo buena comida ♋
Very good food, great atmosphere, the people who attend the business very attentive and cordial, experience of years giving good service. I recommend them.
The burritos accompanied by rice and very rich beans
The food is good but the service they provide is not very arrogant
