Sadly, the USA has been taken over by chain restaurants and coffee shops. In an effort to seek out something more authentic, I decided to walk 7 New York City block to this French coffee shop. The walk was well worth it. The place is clean, decorated w taste and simplicity and delivers a quality product. The pastries and croissants are delicious and fresh. Well worth a detour.

My husband and I were able to discuss what we need about our future. This coffee shop ambiance was a huge help. Their quiet and green decor was impressive. It makes us feel that were not in the city, were in the garden of somewhere refreshing. Thank you for the polite staff who accommodated us. Good manner!

Frenchy Coffee is a super cute and cozy place that my roommate discovered while running! We ordered coffee, the veggie quiche, and a vegan blueberry muffin. The staff was very friendly. The cashier told me that the bakery items are made fresh every morning and the vegan blueberry muffins are a favorite of the customers. I just had to try one! It was so delicious!

Their crossiants are amazing. The lattes some of the best Ive ever had. Their espresso is great not crazy bitter but smooth, you can tell they have the right pressure for it. I think they charge for almond milk now tho I think that started couple weeks ago but before that It was #2 for lattes in NYC Ive been so far.

Great iced latte with oatmilk, just like how I would normally make mine as a former barista. I enjoyed the quality of my chocolate croissant and the fact that they baked almost everything I believe in house! Truly a taste of French baked goods and great coffee. Friendly staff and I appreciated that the owner was the one who made me my drink! I commend all small business owners doing what they can to ensure their services still live up to expectations even during these times. Please support this local business in any way you can.

Just got back from Spain and really wanted a good cortado. I went down the hill to Crepe Cafe and it was underwhelming to say the least. I went to Frenchy this morning and the espresso and oat milk was delicious. On top of that, I got a croissant and chocolate and it was delectable. The pastries and the coffee are top quality. Great hours. What more can you want? All in East Harlem.2020 edit: unfortunately the quality of the food can now be hit or miss and they have changed the coffee to be mediocre at best. I now frequent major chains nearby more regularly. Consistently average wins every day.

This is a very cute and cozy coffee shop tucked away in South East Harlem. Or is it the upper east side? Or is it Yorkville? Regardless, the Barista was very nice and humored me to answer questions about the turmeric ginger tea and the turmeric ginger latte. After deciding to order a flat white I sat down to do a little studying for an exam. I got there later than I wanted so I could only study a bit but Im hoping to go back to try some of the delicious-looking sandwiches and pastries.

Hands down the best croissants Ive ever had (and I travel to Paris often for work)...the almond is my favorite with its not-too-sweet and juicy filling - and not too nutty...its a culinary masterpiece! The staff is wonderful. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO FRENCHY COFFEE!!!!!

Cappuccino was a 3 (extremely hot, even though I asked for it to be not hot, large brown bubbles, but a decent amount of foam). Espresso is on the bitter side, which works ok with the larger cappuccino cup size. Overall, not a place to visit for cappuccinos. But, barista was very nice. And the croissant - very, very good. Properly flaky and buttery. And fresh. If you are a croissant connoisseur, it’s worth a trip to grab a few.

The most horrendous matcha latte Ive ever tried! It was disgustingly sweet! Why on earth would you put sugar in matcha powder?? And then also add sugary almond milk?? Quit using sweetened milk alternatives, no regular milk comes with sugar. If I ever need sugar in my drink I can add it myself.
