Wow—excellent snacking meat. Way better than regular jerky, needless to say. It’s soooo tasty. Got the spicy beef and spicy pork, both so flavorful, sweet and savory and spicy.

Pretty good jerky though to be honest I prefer Old Trapper. Tried the chopped beef jerky but I thought it was too sweet (definitely wouldnt order again). I also had the spicy beef jerky which had a decent balance of sweet and spicy, though maybe still a bit too sweet but overall a good taste. Good to eat as a novelty once in a while.

This is not your supermarket beef jerky. Rather it’s fresh and soft and totally delectable. Today we bought a half pound of the beef and it was a big mistake that we didn’t buy more!!! We are trying to come up with reasons to go back to the Lower East Side to pick up more, and the other flavors too.

Great variety. Sweet, savory, deliciousness. Personal faves are the pork and spicy pork. It is always the most tender compared to the other meats. They are all good though! Meat candy! 😋

Been going here for over a decade. Spicy beef jerky is my favorite. Tender, delicious, and a good amount of spiciness (as many other reviews have noted). Perfect for snacking or for cutting into strips and mixing into salads. I always buy at least half a pound every time I come here. I’ve also gifted the spicy beef jerky to my friends and family. Everyone I’ve introduced this to has loved it.

They have really good jerky here. Its always fresh and soft. Theyve had a tough time because of covid and the shop owner told me that it was tough to make rent happen. I love getting the jerky for my dad whenever I am in this area. Theres not that many of these homemade jerky shops in Chinatown, so its definitely worth checking out and coming again and again! Shop local and support mom and pops.

Do not judge a book by its cover. The place itself is a hole in the wall(in a good old school way). If you were not looking for it you might pass it. Very nice place! Great meat! Great flavors! Not your typical American jerky. These are recipes that had been used for decades.

We love this place! Been there twice and quality is still there. I prefer the spicy pork the most but any spicy is more flavorful than their non-spicy counter parts, but all are good. Their jerky isn’t as dry as what you get in stores, so probably doesn’t last as long (aka not forever) but it’s still good days later, if you can wait that long.

Dont let the sparse decor fool you, the kind couple that operate this store simply invested in the things that matter - the jerky! The beef and pork jerky in original flavor were fantastic, just the right amount of chew and spicy-sweet flavor. So glad we stumbled upon this place while exploring this burgeoning Little Malaysia neighborhood!

The best Malaysian beef jerky. Ive been coming here for over a decade. Its my absolute favorite and best. I highly recommend the spicy chicken jerky as it has bits of chicken cartilage that gives it a special crunch and texture.

Really good Asian style jerky. Its a wet style of jerky but the flavors are really good. Spicy beef is my favorite. Not overly spicy but with a smokey char to it. The lightly grill the jerky which really gives it a great flavor.

The Spicy Jerkies here are so tender and tasty. Its not exactly cheap snack food, but dont pig out and enjoy. I love going here and the lady that work here is so nice. If it wasnt for her, I wouldnt be a loyal customer as I am. Im not sure if shes the owner, but I hope she is.

One of those hole in the wall places. The jerky, beef to pork, is better than the average beef jerky that you get from the convenience store or grocery store in texture, smell, and taste. Another detail that I should mention is that the people work here are very accommodating and friendly.

So you thought you knew jerky? I had this airtight sealed and shipped from the usps down the road. Okay so I was disappointed with the pork, but then again you came for the beef Jerky so get the beef! Soft and Tender jerky. Not yank your neck off hard.

INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS - Its a tiny place for take out, not an eating establishment. My goodness the meat is insanely delicious, tender & a good thing its not anywhere where I live.

Interesting little place with a variety of jerky. I tried shrimp, pork, beef, and chicken. Chicken and pork kind of had a generic teriyaki flavor. Shrimp was pretty good, and beef had a nice chewiness.

Beef and pork jerky are really tasty, they are not super dry like the packaged ones. The lady make them fresh all the time, so they are actually slightly moist and soft, which is a nicer texture for jerky.

This place is fantastic! Quick and to the point. In and out in minutes with super tasty and tender jerky!!

I fell in love with bakwa while traveling around Asia and was determined to find a similar product at home. The nondescript storefront and the miniscule interior made it hard to imagine that the food products they sell are so good. Though she spoke little English, the saleslady happily gave me samples as I tried to decide what to purchase. The meat was freshly cooked, very tender and incredibly tasty.

Hidden gem!

Not traditional, dehydrated jerky. More of a tender, well-marinated slice of meat. Delicious, and not too pricy.

My favorite is the spicy beef jerky! The staff is super nice too.
