Ella & Oak was a perfect dress experience. It felt very personal and special and I will never forget it! With most stores you make an appointment and show up - at Ella & Oak I received a personal phone call to discuss my thoughts and ideas a few weeks before my appointment.This was my first time trying on any dresses and my stylist, Sam, pulled many different options for me to try to get a feel for what I liked. This was so incredibly helpful since I was going in blind. It also felt great not to have to worry if they were only going to have size 4 sample sizes and I felt extremely comfortable. The shop itself was beautiful and private. My Mom and friends loved the set up as well and I would 100% recommend to all brides!

My fiancée and I had an Ella and Oak Try-On Party. The entire experience was incredible. Sam made sure that we were both comfortable and having a fun time. There are a variety of dress styles and accessories to choose from. We felt special and our entire bridal party was a part of the process. I have and would recommend Ella and Oak to anyone looking for beautiful affordable plus-size wedding dresses.

Ella & Oak was hands down my favorite bridal shopping experience. After trying a few salons locally and feeling like it would be impossible to find a dress with the limited sample sizes available I decided to come to New York to shop. I felt like a VIP having the store to myself and Sam & Abby were so helpful. I got to try on as many dresses as I needed to and I loved all of the options with skirts and toppers. I highly, highly recommend Ella & Oak and I appreciate the owners for creating this experience!!

This was my first time trying on wedding dresses for my wedding in September of next year. I was very worried about it, being a plus size girl. Ive heardhorror stories of sample sizes being 10 sizes too small. Enter Sam and the amazing people at Ella and Oak! I had a conversation via phone with Sam about a week before my appointment to narrow down the options that I was looking for. This was smart and great because it meant I didnt waste my time looking at things I knew I wouldnt like. Once there Sam made me my mother, Future mother in law and my bridal party feel welcomed. Im a pretty indecisive person and I need some time to figure out which dress is for me. Sam gave me all the specs so that I can come back when Im ready. Most importantly never felt pressured into making a decision on the spot. I pretty much feel fat everywhere in the world, except for in that dressing room. Ella and Oak is a must visit for any bride!

I had such a lovely experience trying on dresses and I found THE DRESS at Ella & Oak! It was quick and easy to schedule an appointment and everything was ready for me at my appointment. I went to several other wedding salons and tried on so many dresses. It was such a great experience that all the dress samples were in a size that fit me. I could really see myself in the dresses vs. holding them up and trying to imagine what they would look like in my size.I have since received my dress and it is as beautiful as I remembered! I loved the surprise champagne that they included in the box. All the small touches really shows how much they are dedicated to your wedding day. Sam has been awesome throughout this whole experience and is even helping me accessorize for my day!

I had a great appointment with one of the co- founders Sam. She was helpful and knowledgeable about the dress collection and what to expect when ordering them. The dress were well kept and nicely displayed so that they could easily be viewed. Sam made me feel comfortable and the space was inviting to me and my I do crew. I would recommend Ella and Oak to anyone looking for wedding dress that wears a dress size 12 and above.

Sam and Kristine were incredibly hospitable, patient, kind, supportive and helpful. we were the last appointment on a friday night. I really honor what they are doing for us curvy girl brides - offering us a great choice of REAL dresses, at realistic prices! It was a great 1st dress try on experience. My single friend found herself a stunning future wedding dress. :) Still in shopping mode but will def go back when they get new designers in the pop-up here in NYC.

Fabulous experience. Sam was extremely sweet and personable. I was in a time crunch to get my dress and she made it all happen. I got the dress of my dreams and was very happy with the experience. I would recommend all my friends to go here.

I had a wonderful experience! They listened to the things I wanted and were very understanding. I fell in love with one of their dresses. They helped me see the dress in action (with veil and sash). Unfortunately, I didn’t buy it because I do want to keep my options open but it definitely left it’s mark on me. I hope we reunite soon! But overall, a wonderful experience. The staff was really sweet, helpful and understanding. They worked with me through it all, from scheduling to the try ons. Thank you for making the experience wonderful!

Loved my experience at Ella & Oak! Sam was soo helpful and nice and fun and made the entire experience enjoyable. I appreciated that since my search for a wedding dress has been tough with sample sizes being way too small. If youre thinking about visiting Ella & Oak then you definitely should!!

THANK YOU! I tried on probably 20 dresses before I came to Ella & Oak. I dont know if thats a lot, but it was exhausting and often a bit demoralizing. (Nothing makes a girl feel worse than being told that a dress isnt made in your size because the extra cost of fabric would ruin the margin)Sam and Christine made me feel so comfortable in my own skin. I only tried on three dresses in their showroom before I found the one! It fit like a glove and I didnt feel like I had to compromise on quality or aesthetic. It was truly a refreshing experience.I hugged them goodbye. Im not a hugger. That should say something :)
