I passed by seeing a sign that said Hot Soup on cold day and found this little neighborhood gem. A lovely selection of artisanal cheese&crackers, a wide selection beer, as well as charcuterie meats. I ended up ordering a sandwich from their chalkboard menu and it was great, so of course I went for the soup of the day and it was a delicious minestrone was the soup. Great alternative to getting a corner deli sandwich, especially if you want some nice meat and cheese on it! The staff was really friendly and kind. They def made a regular out of me. I took some pics. Thumbs up!

This shop is a gem. So glad they’re in the neighborhood. Cheese and beer selection is A++ and the people who work there are just about the nicest people you could meet in the city.

But walk west from Broadway and enter what resembles a tidy delicatessen with a few tables in front of a wall of chilled, smartly chosen beverages. Order a nibbles platter and a fondue and savor paninis of striking quality and the staff’s hospitality. No worries about NYC up selling; the waiter cautioned our trio against ordering an extra salad. His gesture added to our contentment.

After months of looking for craft beers that I could purchase on my vist to New York I picked vintner because of their vast selection, the place was spotless and the fridges well organised so i never thought to check the dates!! so imagine my annoyance when on my arrival back to UK the first Beer I opened was off and had 2014 as the date, I then checked the rest of the 11 beers Id bought to find the majority where out of date or very close!! I did email them to say I had a receipt and pictures of the offending bottles but no response!! Hope this helps anybody looking to take beers you cant get in the UK home to check First!!!

I have been here a couple of times and loved my experiences. Prompt service, amazing food, and great beer selections in the fridge and on tap. I have been lucky to arrive when they werent packed like crazy. I tried their roast beef sandwich recently and was in love. They make the roast beef in house. The prices are amazing.I am a big sandwich fan and often feel places just use boars head ingredients, and thats it. Here it is not like that at all. It can be hard to try a new item when Ive loved a couple others and want them again. Some beers they do have you cant get anywhere else. I will come back again for sure.

Great beer selection and great sandwiches

My wife and love this place. These guys certainly know beers they sell. Staff is very intelligent and extremely friendly. We talked to a person who works there about beers and European football. He rooted for the Mexico team at the World Cup 2018 and he was an amazing and intelligent person. We did not exchange names but surely that lad knew all American and European beers fantastically well. I was impressed! I think this is the one of a kind place at the West Side that sells quality American and Belgium craft beers. We have not tried their food that time, but I would expect it to be as awesome as their beers. Great place! I would recommend it to any beer enthusiast without any hesitation.

Omg!!! I can’t believe this place in in NYC....The name really doesn’t do service to the amazing place and service. It looks like a regular sandwich and beer bar but it’s not!!! they have the biggest selection of sandwiches and fondue I have seen in any brewery or bar! The servers are amazing! Me and my boyfriend live a couple of blocks away and can’t wait to visit every week for their amazing beer and food selection.

They have a sign outside for cold brew, dont make the mistake I did, $5.50 will get you room temperature brew with no ice!!! Never have I got a cold brew served without ice, it also tasted super old and bitter, I already paid when I realized there was no ice in my cup and they refused to rectify the situation just argue with me cold brew from the tap is never served with ice and I should buy ice at the deli on the corner... First and last time here

This place has the right concept but the service is so terrible I will not be returning. There are a dozen better options for beer within 2 blocks. Not interested in an unpleasant unhelpful staff serving and selling me beer. In addition if you are buying beer keep an eye on their dates and beware it seems like most of that beer has gone through significant temperature changes. And they post that they sell growlers but its pretty clear trying to get a growler pisses them off .

Been coming here since I moved here 5 years ago. For about the last year and a half, as my palette has developed, and as my beer and wine knowledge has expanded, I have realized how much they price gouge on wines and beers you can get elsewhere for sometimes more than $5 less. For example, when they were able to sell bottles of Grimm, you would get them here for over $18 and at Whole Foods for around $12. The price difference for the tall cans was still worse. The quality of their wines and beers have been dismal, but if youre just looking for alcohol I guess this place is good enough. I just stopped in again after a nearly year long hiatus given these findings, and he asked me for an I.D. despite my boyfriend having his. Were 30 years old. He refused to sell to my boyfriend without my I.D. I hope this business is replaced like the countless others on the block with something of better quality.

This place is my go to place for lunch when im by myself down in the city. Usually a Thursday or Friday afternoon. The food and beer is a few doors to the north where they serve food and craft beer. My favorites are the BLT and the Roast Beef sandwich. The BLT is loaded and on some of the best italian bread, with a spicy mayonnaise. The roast beef has some tasty beef, with the tastiest horseradish cheddar and thin sliced red onions. Again with the amazing bread.So good. Add a tasty beer from the tap and this is why its my favorite little hiding spot for a long lunch ;) As an example, they had Maines Lunch on tap last week. Aside from their rotating taps, they stock a nice selection in the coolers as well. I imagine they get some hard to find stuff as well, but likely save that for their regulars, which im working on becoming *hint hint* :)
