A very cool staff with some great recommendations depending on what you’re feeling of drinking. My friend and it up getting a double IPA and I was more of a seltzer guy and he recommended one of the coolest drinks I’ve had which is the green one in the pictures. Didn’t taste sugary and was really refreshing. Nice seating outdoor as well as inside.

Great service. Good variety of beers. Got their sandwich and it was great. Chips on my plate was great but my friends plate was lacking a bit of salt. So not completely consistent. But the chips were fried just right. Overall love the place. Great place for a first casual date or group event with food and beer.

Great craft beer location, with pints or taster glasses available on site or can and bottles to go. They serve light food selections and have a very nice variety of local craft beer. Highly recommended when in Chelsea.

Great place to grab a bite and a beer (or 2) with friends. With a neighborhood feel, and a big selection of craft beers, you wont be disappointed. The menu also features sandwiches, appetizers, and other good eats. Service was quick and friendly. They are expanding into the space next door, so will be back!

Pretty good selection of beer. Some fun things like a jester king selection and a good variety of locals. Only knocking a star cause its very pricey.

10/2021: still a cool spot with a huge beer selection. Great service, the bartender gave us a bunch of samples in rapid succession. We ordered our beers and enjoyed the night people watching. Upgraded to 5 ⭐2017: A cool spot with simple surroundings. Limited menu but good stuff on it. Love the big hot pretzel. Lots of craft beers. Lots of bottles for sale. BUT there is a corkage fee if you buy a bottle and want to drink it there :(Theres a good selection on draft, so thats cool.

Huge diversity of craft beers and cheese and even sandiwches in this cosy welcoming bar. They do a variety of sizes on the draft beers so you can try several small ones and not feel like youve drank too much. They have wheat beers, IPA, sours, pilsner and ciders.The staff are super knowledgeable if youre not sure what type of beer to buy or what they taste like. Weekdays can get busy between 5-8pm but if you can swing by on a weekend then youll find its a bit less busy.Seating is available both at tables and several seats at the bar.Expect to pay between $5-$10 per beer.

Great staff, amazing music, and even better selection! Im visiting from the PNW and coming to Milk & Hops was like finding a little piece of home.

The space is simultaneously intimate and open for you to enjoy a good beer or three 4oz tastes. Hang out with friends near the fridge and enjoy some can art. Sit at the bar while you indulge on your instagram feed with ample lighting. The staff is friendly and honest which makes it a plus for locals. I sipped on my beer and scanned the meticulous organized beer fridge by style and/or country. For those with a severe case of FOMO theres a section labelled almost gone or something like that.On this particular night a neighborhood bakery delivered mini cupcakes and offered me one. You can also take your beer juice to go! The cheese list and food menu looked fun as well.

Delicious beer and sandwiches! I had the Reuben at the recommendation of the bartender and it was probably the best Ive had in a while.

This place is the best. Always a great selection of beers on tap and very friendly staff. For these COVID times, in the past they had just been putting tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk, but tonight when we went, they had a full outside shelter with heating lamps. Also, they have a great selection of cans in the cooler so you can take a few interesting ones home with you. Love this place!

This is a really great spot. Huge assortment of beer from within the US and around the world. Great, focused, seasonally-focused draught list. Visited in the summer and found most of the list was sours (goose, Berliner) and big, fresh ipas. Imagine the list goes darker as the seasons change.Prices are more than fair. All draught under $10. Bottles priced appropriately.Hard not to leave with an armful of bottles from their fridges.They had heady topper when I was there. Charged only 9.99 for the can on premise. That says everything about this place. Good beer folks bringing great beer to the people.

Amazing spot for high quality, curated beer. Staff is friendly and knows what they are talking about. I pop in two or three times a week and ask whats new on tap and whats rare thats for sale and they never disappoint! Was able to grab Focal Banger and Heady Topper as well as some rare, barrel-aged stouts from Firestone Walker. Cant recommend Milk and Hops enough!

It was my first time visiting the restaurant, I had heard great things. Unfortunately they were all out of Burgers and the Rueben. I just ended up getting a beer. The credit card machine took at least 5 tries to work. Will give them another try the next I am in the neighborhood.

A little more seating than the Astor place location and the staff and beer selection is just as nice.

My favorite place to pick up a craft beer to go, or drink in the bar with a pretzel and/or grilled cheese sandwich. I’ve really missed Milk and Hops over the past two months and was delighted to see them reopen a couple of weeks back. They’ve set up an outdoor space that comfortably sits 10-15 people. Thoroughly enjoyed spending 45 mins there on a balmy New York evening with a double milk stout and pretzel. As good as ever.

The beer selection was very good as usual, but staff threw out the trash in the middle of outdoor dining, between two tables. Not a comfy dining experience. Would be best if garbage was thrown out after patrons left.

Easily one of my favorite tap rooms in Manhattan. Milk and Hops has a great selection of (mostly) local and high quality craft beers.They have a great selection of to-go cans with a great variety and quality for a very reasonable value.Their food menu is also great, you can pick any of the cheese melts and you can’t go wrong. They also have amazing savory pretzels.

This was such a cute little place. Large selection of drinks. Rotating drinks on tap and a large fridge of options. Food menu seemed like it was appropriate for the drink specials to enhance the experience. They had the cutest and friendliest server there. Would highly recommend.

Discovered this on Yelp when looking for an after-work drinks spot with a friend, and loved it! Feels more like a modern coffee shop when its earlier in the evening and not super crowded. Definitely fills up after 6pm, but there are a decent number of high tables, 2 top low tables, and space to hang out by the bar. Plus the craft beer selection is great and affordable, and you can order cheeses to pair with it. Really happy to know this is in the neighborhood! No happy hour specials that I could find but the prices are decent without that.

One of my favorite bars in the area and just the right size. Large enough to have 10 good beers on tap and a nice refrigerated section but not too big where its obnoxiously crowded. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly.

Always good beer. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Mid-day, its basically a beer store/bar with a coffee shop-ish atmosphere. Good stock of bottles (one of the few places Ive been able to find Backwoods Bastard and Dragons Milk) and reasonably-priced growlers of most beers on tap.

My favorite beer bar in the city - great little selection of beers on tap that are so well curated, they fit together perfectly. Topped off by a top notch bottle and can selection.

The other half tap was either dirty of flat it didnt have the usual punch to it. Tj server wasnt very good either, I waited 4 to 5 minutes while they discussed types of beans with some other customers. There were only about 5 people in the whole place and they couldnt be bothered to acknowledge us until the intense bean bean discussion was over.

Really good quality cheeses and wide variety. The Valdeon blue cheese is superb! The sandwiches are super tasty, specially the grilled cheese Mr Crispy. Will definitely come back!😋

I have been going to this bar for a while. The majority of the staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. They try to keep a variety of styles on the tap list but if you dont see anything that you like then hit up the fridge and youll be sure to find something you like.The food here is also great. The cubano is definitely one of my favorites

Great little find in Chelsea. A few draft lines containing some lesser known beers, but the big draw is the 6(?) fridges containing an amazing selection of bottles and cans for you to drink there or take away. The prices are great for a bar considering youd be paying more for a bud light down the street. The meat and cheese plates were shockingly good and its never too packed.

Great beer list! It got a little noisy when it got packed but if you are there early on a weekend it is the perfect spot to day drink, try some brews, take some home with you. The food looked nice (snacks/cheese/charcuterie) - would try that next time.

Came in for lunch. The vibe was very chill. Lots of beer and some food. I had the blt for 10 dollars and it was very fresh and didnt leave you feeling too heavy to the point where you didnt want to go back to work. I recommend it.

Sandwiches and cheese board were good options. If you dont have time to stay, you can take beer to go from their robust selection.

The bartender/server ignored us from the moment we came in. He talked to other patrons. He erased the black board, washed glasses - he did anything he could to pretend to be busy. He never acknowledged us and didnt even want to look at us. I am really upset at this experience. There 4 patrons on the place that were already served. It was not busy on a Sunday at 1:45 PM. Are there only certain kinds of patrons Milk and Hops serve? We finally left without getting anything because it so obvious we were not welcomed.

A perfect new addition to the Chelsea neighborhood. Solid craft beer selection on taps accompany tasty sandwiches served to stay at the counter, tables or outdoor sidewalk seating or to go. Fill a growler or snag singles and six-packs in the retail section - next to the charcuterie, cheese, meats, etc.

Its a nice quiet place to sit down and enjoy a wide variety of craft beers. The beers on tap cover a diverse spectrum of beers, and there is also a wall of refrigerators filled with bottled beer, cider, and mead.
