Highly curated short list of beers. Trust the server: there are not a lot of beers but they are all the prime example of their styles. Sure it may feel pretentious (I didnt get that vibe though) but its guaranteed to be good.

Great spot with a good rotating selection. They also fill growlers, so have a flight and leave with a growler of your favorite!

Good rotating selection of craft beers on tap. You can get a flight to sample several of the choices. They also have a large selection of cans / bottles. The atmosphere is vibrant but calm and not overwhelming. It’s a good place to go to hang casually and catch up with friends.

The first time we stumbled on the Beer Shop, Evan the Bartender gave us numerous tastes and was very helpful as we decided what to buy for our dinner party. A few hours later we ran out of beer! We hurried back to the Beer Shop, and as we perused the selection, we ended up tasting and chatting with Evan. Magical things happen when you’re deciding upon the proper growler. We stayed for hours and enjoyed delightful conversation and delicious beers. We love this spot and hope to return soon.

Place is fantastic. Bar tender is friendly and very helpful if you ask for his advice. Place is clean and welcoming. The beer selection is top notch and there are games of you want to stay and play. Outdoor seating is excellent for people watching. I will return here regularly.

Thomas was the absolute star of this business. Thomas is an absolute asset to this shop and his fun and knowledgeable personality made us feel so at home. We will undoubtedly be back . We had so much fun and the beer was drool worthy! Thanks so much!

Nice choice of craft beers if youre around! A few canned ones including classic European brands.

Went today and got a flight. Staff was nice, beer was great with a good variety. 10+ beers on tap, bottle/can beer available as well. Growlers come in three different sizes which is great. There are some games to play while there I you desire. Rock music was playing while we were there. Dont know if this is the norm but I loved it. When we come back to the city this will be a place we go to again.

Good bottle shop/taproom with knowledgeable employees. High in price, but thats Manhattan. I wasnt fully convinced when I first tried the beer shop last summer. After trying multiple bottle shops in NYC, this is a top-notch business and its certainly run well. Hope to sample more when Im back in Manhattan.

This is a great place to go if youre looking for good beer and a quieter atmosphere. You have a selection of bottles, cans, and tap. The staff is very friendly and the bathrooms are clean. Definitely a good first date spot or a hang out spot.

Great addition to the neighborhood! The beer selection is fantastic, the owners are really friendly and the vibe is perfect. We had a tasty beer flight at the tasting table and then took a couple of beers next door to Oaxaca Taqueria, which is BYOB. The perfect combo. I look forward to many future trips in the weeks and months to come. Definitely recommend!

Clean and polished feel, perhaps a bit of Williamsburg in there. Staff are friendly and its a great place to try new beers. Not really the place for long afternoon drinking sessions but more of a stop by to try something new place. Prices are a little expensive.

For beer lovers, just an all right, very limited selection in a neighborhood where were yearning for places like this. The prices are also way over the top as I bought a 6 pack of Cigar City IPA for twice the price of what you can buy it for at Whole Foods or many others places in NYC. Thats correct, 100% more!

Good for the occasional rare beer that you are willing to splurge on because you cant find somewhere else. Flights seem like the best bet @ 4 pours for $15. Ive found the staff to be on the snobby side and the place is very cramped.

Im not sure if this place is a bar or a beer shop, but in any case it fails at both. The beer selection on tap is good, but thats the only positive point. Seating is terrible, its freezing inside, its not cozy/intimate and the beer is more expensive than a regular bar. As a beer shop, they dont have that many choice and you can easily find most of the beers they have in a regular store.

I dont know much about beer but the owner of the place was very helpful about helping me find my palate.

Best rotating kegs Ive seen on the West Side. They always have something new and the selections are always top notch. The rotations are a good variation of stouts, IPAs, sours, brown ale, and saisons.The staff are always friendly and very helpful without being pretentious if you have any questions. The shop is clean has a nice balance between being a place to have a few beers or getting some to go.The prices are fair in my opinion. Its a bar in the UWS not a convenience or grocery store.
