This is a cozy and spacious coffee spot with art (hence the name, The Bean Gallery) in Mid City. They feature delicious, fresh coffees and a variety of cold refreshments. Light fare and dessert are also available. They recently added traditional Turkish coffee to the menu, and it tasted smooth and deep like it should. Their cookies look amazing, and the dark chocolate/white chocolate/toffee cookie did not disappoint. Hang out and study or read, sit on the porch or inside, or have a conversation with a friend as there is plenty of space between tables. Parking is also easy; always a plus in NOLA!

I really enjoyed my time at The Bean Gallery today! This coffee shop features an inviting atmosphere with plenty of tables for games or studying. The coffee was exceptional! I was able to munch on a tasty veggie panini while completing my homework. All of the produce was fresh and delicious but the orange they gave me as a side was the tastiest orange I have had the joy of eating in a long time! Next time I cant find a parking spot on campus I will be visiting The Bean Gallery!

Needed a quick morning coffee, and this place fit the bill. Theres some pleasant outdoor seating on a front deck, and while many of the tables inside were full the noise level wasnt too bad. Friendly service, and I got my drink (dirty chai) INCREDIBLY quickly. The chai itself was tasty as well, smooth and quite spicy. Will probably be visiting again.

Tasty treats and coffee. I love that they are dog friendly. Knocking down a star as I asked a question about what was in a pastry (just didnt recognize it) and the barista was acted a little put out that I asked, I got the feeling god help me if I had asked about ingrediants. For a remote worker, there are not a ton of tables, so I would go early, its super popular. Its a solid choice but doesnt take prize for best coffee spot in Nola.

Very busy, popular place. Personable staff. Pastries and cookies come from La Louisiane Bakery and Maurices Bakery, so theyre really good. Theyre always rotating their coffee selection, so you can try a new one almost every visit. And of course, $1 day-old pastries are always a good grab, if you can get one before they disappear. Good atmosphere in here with plenty natural light and limited comfy(cushy chairs, couch) seating. HAVE to try the big cookies on the counter. Heat them up for like 25 seconds and theyre unbelievable.

Cozy, inviting, and fun. I would definitely go back!

Paid $9.00 for an egg salad for pickup. Opened the container to find a bed of lettuce with a few shredded carrots, and a single tiny scoop of egg salad so small that everyone else at the table laughed and offered to give me some of their food to compensate. It tasted fine, but there wasnt even enough egg salad there to coat the lettuce in the container. Extremely disappointing.

The Bean Gallery has delicious coffee, but rather lackluster baked goods (I did go on a Sunday afternoon). Also, not all of the tables are near electrical outlets, so be aware before you bring your laptop. When I arrived, I saw only one empty table against the wall (where the outlets are), and since there was no one else ahead of me, I ordered before claiming the table. But when I got my coffee, there was a woman with a coffee to-go cup sitting there, with her laptop!Since she had not waited on line or been in the loo, I assume that she brought an old coffee cup so that it would look like she ordered something, when in fact she had not. And she did not order anything for the two hours I was there! And I didnt see her drink from the cup, either.Thats not the cafés fault, of course.

This place has a great location, friendly and helpful staff and a comfortable albeit not exactly stylish atmosphere. Where it falls short is the coffee is more of good ole cup of Joe approach and is just not on par with so many other great coffee shops in town that are either doing their own roasting or serving with care the finest roasts and single origin coffees from around the world. Sorry about the snobbery but there really is a difference between great coffee and the good ole cup of Joe. Would love to see them step up to today standards in Nola for specialty coffee shops and offer more.
