Cute, little cafe on a corner in Algiers Point. The staff was extremely friendly and hardworking. I ordered the Poche with an overeasy egg. The grits are nothing like I have them at home. These were buttery goodness that paired well with every element of the dish, as well as the hot sauce at the table. We ended up coming back the next morning for a quick blueberry muffin and danish, both of which were delicious. If you want to experience food that is not part of a tourist trap, give this cafe a chance! Be aware, they are only open until 1:00 pm, so get there soon enough!

Absolutely one of the best restaurants Ive ever had a meal! The service is Quick, friendly, accurate and efficient! You would be crazy to pass on the opportunity to eat at this venue!!!!!The menu choices are all new and refreshing from the Standard fare. I want to go back and try everything on the menu! Im around half way there! The picture I posted shows the Atchafalaya which was delicious! Hope all went well for the restaurant during the tornado mid March 2021.... We were thinking about you!!!!!

This place is a GEM. If you were having a bad day, being in this place would completely turn it around! What a surprisingly pleasant and lovely experience. The food quality and speedy service is superb. The staff are the most delightful staff I’ve interacted with in a long time—they were joyful, attentive (without being overbearing), and welcoming. The vibe is so local and relaxed and fun. Don’t pass this place up! We’re going back tomorrow morning and I’m gonna remember this place for whenever we make it back to NOLA 😂

LOVE this place!!! Wonderful food, wonderful people. Spent 7 days visiting New Orleans and had breakfast here every day. There is great options for hearty food with gravy and eggs, and there is great light food, with oatmeal covered in fresh fruit. It is cash only, but the prices are the best we found in NOLA. Also, the food is pretty fast, even when they are crazy busy! Definitely come check this place out.

The sweetest group of individuals to walk this earth are found HERE....and then on top of all that their food is SO BOMB!!!! TRULY A HIDDEN GEM. I want to tell more people about this place but then again I want to keep this amazing establishment alllllll to myself lol. I love restaurants where you know for certain the chefs and cooks actually CARE about what theyre serving their guests...this is exactly one of those places. Big portions, amazing hospitality, beautiful and quaint location, and incredible flavor in their food. I highly recommend....Your taste buds will thank ya.!!!!

One of the best little gems of New Orleans! Nestled in the cozy Algiers Point neighborhood and a true example of what the locals here love to share most, delicious food and the warmest hospitality! It doesnt matter who you are - when you walk through that door you instantly become part of the family! Whether youre first visit ever or your second time in that same morning, they make you feel special.I dont even know where to begin to describe the food! You may just have to check it out for yourself! The best grits in the city! The crawfish etouffee is what dreams are made of! Also, dont shy away from throwing one of their delicious pancakes onto your order. I add the Banana pancake to my order everytime I stop in. Crispy golden edges and warm fluffy middle! Its bananas! 😜Truly the best spot for breakfast in NOLA, worth the trip from the other side of the river!

Id give it six stars if I could. A neighborhood cafe in Algiers Point, it serves great coffee, wonderful tea, they build the bags as ordered, delicious pastries and great breakfast/brunch food. And they do all this with a friendly smile! There is some indoor seating and several outdoor tables. Its open Tuesday-Sunday from early until early afternoon, so no traditional German Kafee und Kuchen. Its located directly across from a small park and Thursdays at 10:00 neighbors get their coffee or tea and drink it under the trees while they share their hopes, aspirations, and everyday opinions. If you decide to eschew the beignets for a day, catch the ferry to Algiers Point and take a short walk to Tout de Suite for a treat.
