This is a fun and eclectic coffee shop with a mid city vibe. Service and coffee are great. The brightly colored interior and unique orange exterior remind you that you’re in New Orleans. This is definitely a mid city locals favorite, and you’ll meet the local eclectic, but generally younger crowd here.

Great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Loved the music and the vibe. The big doors were open giving the dining room a patio feel. I had a make your own sandwich and a latte. The coffee was schmokin full of flavor and smooth. Loved it! My sandwich came on a sexy everything bagel and it was delicious! It was fresh, crunchy where it needed to be, and saporous throughout! Try the Viennese Coffee!!

First time in Monkey Monkey and overall it was a pretty decent experience. Had a large French roast drip and everything bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was good but the bagel really stole the show, it was delicious. They have listed on their menu a chive cream cheese that I requested upon ordering but I received regular ol plain cream cheese. A bit disappointing. While I was there the WiFi was intermittent and didn’t work for the first 5 minutes I was there trying to get work done. Also the line took forever. In the future if it’s a small line I’ll stop in for a quick bean water but that’s about it.

The new menu is fire! Love the make your own parfait. The prices are reasonable & staff is friendly. Love supporting a local business when so many places are struggling with inventory & staffing issues. You know we ALL went through the pandemic! Be kind and patient when things arent perfect. Service industry has been hit particularly hard with reopening. They need some love, too. Peace, love, and monkeys 🐒 ❤

I stopped by to get an ice tea. Stood and waited 10 minutes but whatever. Wanted lemon but y’all didn’t have any ok I can deal with that. The guy charged me 5.50 for a large ice tea. I asked him 5.50 and he said yes. I already drank out of it so I gave him $6 and left. Do y’all really charge 5.50 for ice tea? At Starbucks or cc’s it is 2.95. The price on the menu board on this site has less than $3. So was I ripped off by the employee or are your prices that exorbitant? I pass by there often and wanted to support local but won’t be back unless I get an answer.

The staff was super friendly and the Coffee Shop was clean. We really enjoyed it.

This place is not as crowded as the other coffee shops. Plenty of outlets. Coffee is better than chain stores (most of the private single stand alone stores are better). I don’t order food often and the cheap person that I am, I picked up a $9 BLT. Yeah, I know. Expensive...but pretty dope. Plenty of bacon. Hefty portion of guacamole. Nice sauce. Definitely recommend and filling even tho it’s pricey.Overall, pretty solid establishment. Would recommend 4-5 star. Word.Note: I knocked off a Star bc Frappes were never present on the ten times I tried ordering it over two years. They could have it now (2020) but never had it the previous ten times so meh. Still good coffee place.

The coffee is good, love the decor. Its a neighborhood spot where the police gather alongside the hipsters and everyone seems to walk away happy. The price point is great. I paid $4.50 for a medium cappuccino, less than either the chain shops or some of the more trendy coffee joints around town.

Despite having two employees and me only being the second customer in the store at that time, they could not get my order right. What I received was tasty, but I didnt notice that it was wrong until after I left and would have been late to work if Id gone back.I went two miles out of my way to stop in for coffee on the way to work, and because of that Im probably more disappointed than I should have been. Great little coffee shop. So bright and airy. Be advised, I ordered a large coffee (to stay) and the mug was MASSIVE. I didnt realize they had 22 oz MUGS! Lol. Shouldve asked! So theyre sizes are basically the same if youre staying or going. I also had this incredibly yummy spinach wheel pastry. It had a bit of roasted red pepper in it, too, and parmesan and cream cheese -- although unexpectedly you couldnt SEE any of the cheese, so it wasnt quite like layers of it, it was DEFINITELY in there. I could taste it. It was like it had gotten into the dough. Really delicious. The coffee was very tasty, too, but that should really be a given in NOLA!

I go to Monkey Monkey almost every weekday. Medium iced coffee with a shot of espresso is my go to. Everyone is always very nice. Sometimes the line can be long when there is only one barista, that never bothers me, patience is a virtue. Sometimes Ill get the Mocha Frappe which I love, it tastes so good, sweet coffee goodness. I also get the pre made sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits always tastes delicious. Sometimes they can be pretty greasy but I roll with it. Hip but not overly hipster joint. Bright, spacious coffee shop with reliable, speedy wifi, and average priced drinks. The radio is always on, but at least its not too loud or playing obnoxious, terrible tunes. The baristas are always friendly, quick with orders, and attentive. Lots of power outlets and various types of seating for different folks preferences or group size. Ive witnessed tons of group studies and meetings here, as well as many individuals like myself reading or typing away on their laptops.Highly recommend this spot. Oh, and theres food, too, if you need something to nibble on. Easy access via the streetcar back downtown or can take one of several buses to continue uptown.
