Ive been a Beauty for Ashes client for quite some time. My journey to Beauty for Ashes started with hair loss. I went feeling cynical and knowing they wouldnt have answers and boy was I wrong. I actually ended up stopping the regimen that was recommended by my dermatologist. It was not working at all. Andrea was able to do microscope exams and show me what was going on with my scalp and then help me develop a regimen that stopped the hair loss and retrain me to keep my hair healthy and strong. In 2016, I had patches thinning and whole areas that refuse to grow. I am proud to say that going to Beauty for Ashes Salon was the best decision I ever made regarding my hair. I have never been to a salon like this that puts hair Health ahead of style and everything else. We are continued customers. She has also taken on teaching me a comprehensive regimen for how to take care of my daughters hair and sees her quarterly as well for Trims and checkups. Andrea offers services that are both healthy and educational. And truly wants whats best for your healthy hair Journey. She is also a very talented stylist and will help you incorporate the look you are going for while keeping your hair Health at the Forefront. You would not believe my healthy hair journey I cannot even bring myself to post pictures of my pre Beauty for Ashes natural hair. Trust me I am only one of her many testimonials.

I am disappointed with the pricing, lack of equipment working during my visit (being charged the same price for a service that was not fully serviced to me), lack of communication with the owner, etc. It has been three months since my appointment, and I honestly regret the drive from Queens and the money I spent because I did not receive the service I paid for. I support Black Owned Businesses (I purchased products, vitamins, and her book while there), but these Black Business Owners need to service and treat their customers better. This was a COMPLETE waste of money, tolls, mileage, and my time. I am suffering from hair loss, and she did nothing to help me with that. Never again!

A wonderful experience for my hair! The best thing about Beauty For Ashes is Andrea gives you tips and product recommendations on how to care for your hair AFTER you leave the salon! We all know maintenance is the key to your best hair and she sets you up to succeed.Her price point is higher than other places I’ve been but a visit with Andrea is the treat I give myself and feel great about it later!

I had the most amazing experience with Andrea. After transitioning for nearly 2 years I decided to get a deva cut. Best decision I ever made. My hair looks amazing and I look like a completely different person. Andrea was very informative while doing my hair, from how to wash it and deep condition to how to maintain it when I sleep. Definitely 5* treatment.

I went in for the Cut it Kinky Cut and Andrea did an amazing job! I received a few curly cuts in the past, but this cut is by far the best. Finally a person who knows how to cut my hair and can recommend products that will give me the desired results. My wash and go at the end of the service was the bomb com. I purchased the recommended products and was able to replicate the style. Im so happy that finally I found products that works for my hair. Ill definitely be back.

My salon experience was EASILY the best one I have ever had. Its a beautiful salon, everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Alyssa was so sweet and answered every single question I had (I had a lot) but also walked me through the current state of my hair, what products I should be using and gave me a mirror so I could see what she was doing/how she was applying product while we were at the bowl. I left there with so much knowledge and cant wait to apply it at home. I came all the way from DC for this experience and Beauty for Ashes dont owe me nothingggg. I will be back next month for some color. It feels sooo good to finally have found a salon I can trust and call my own.

Ive been going to Andrea for the last 15 years. She takes pride in her work & throughly enjoys what she does. This is always evident when she does your hair. My experience at Andrea’s salon exceeded my expectations. Being my 1st visit I had a hair audit and attended boot camp. I learned so much about my hair a now I have a routine to follow. My first time at this salon was phenomenal. I was kindly greeted and welcomed with great care. I was given a tour of the salon and had to fill out a questionnaire regarding myself and my hair. This was important to me since it felt that the employees were not just doing a job but actually cared about their clienteles. They gave me great advice on how to care for my hair and catered to my needs. Im usually terrified of trims but for the first time in a salon, I felt confident and trusted them to trim my hair. My hair came out looking fabulous. You dont many professionals hair salon who catered to natural hair in Rockland. This was a great one. I definitely would come back.

I absolutely love Tyesha and the Beauty for Ashes salon. Every time I go to the salon its always a new and fabulous experience. Everyone is supper friendly and prompt. Theres never a long wait. The minute you walk in to the salon you are greeted and asked if theres anything they can get you. The stylists are all wonderful they are patient and understanding, they take the time to explain everything to you and answer any questions that a client may have. So happy I found this salon and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Très magnifique 🤩🤩
