I found out I had a flat tire after I arrived at work and called Royal Tire because they are near my work. Even though they were booked with appointments for the day, they told me to bring my car in, and theyd see what they could do. They were able to repair my tire in about an hour. They were extremely friendly, professional, and fixed the problem quicker than I hoped for. Plus the price was less than what Ive paid at other places in the past. I felt like they went the extra mile for me, and their customer service is top-notch. Thanks, Chris and team!

Tried to have tires put on there i did all the research on tires called with the brand, model and size of the tire i wanted I even corrected the sales person on the phone when they repeated the wrong numbers. then they forgot to order them until the next day so i had to reschedule my appointment and then they called me to tell me my tires were in and I went to get them installed and after I got there they looked at the tires and they had ordered the wrong tires. would not recommend putting the safety of your loved ones in the hands of people who cant complete a simple task of clicking a box to order the correct tires. will never use them again.

Brought my vehicle in for an alignment after replacing steering rack, and most other front end suspension components. Got a call the next day that I needed to replace lower control arms, and wheel hubs on both sides. Ive litterally just spent the day prior working on it, and there was nothing wrong with either part that they said needed replaced. If anything the bushings in the control arms could have been replaced, but I dont see why the entire control arms would need replacing? I had also opted for a 3 part fuel service, but as far as I can tell based off of the invoice they just dumped a bottle of fuel treatment into the gas tank, and then charged an hour of labor. Would not recommend this place, and I feel bad for people who dont know much about cars and have to trust people like this. If I had my own alignment rack Id never have brought it in. Steer clear of this place in my opinion.Also noteworthy; The prices quoted for replacement parts were highly inflated. $187 for a single wheel hub, I tried to find something remotely close to that price, and the highest I found was about $92 from a reputable brand. So almost $100 dollars more for a single part. Think of the money people send down the drain putting their trust into businesses like this.

Got a hole in my tire on the way home. Stopped here because I knew I needed immediate repair. They were honest and said if our next appointment is a no show, we can help you. I felt that being up front and I respect that. Other guy was a no show. They fixed me up in about 20 min. Charged me barely anything and were good, happy guys the whole time. Highly recommend!

I went last month as I have always gone for the past 2 YEARS and they did NOT tell me they had broken my hood. I tried checking the oil last week and could not open the hood of the car. I went in yesterday to see if they could do something about it and to also get an oil change. They sent me home and said they couldn’t do anything about it until the next day when they had a “Mechanic”. When I tried to tell them that it was them, they ignored me. Since I got the car, nobody else does services to the car except them. Lets see if they actually do something about it.

I dropped two 20:00-20 inner tubes off on a Monday to find the leaks and get patched for tires that I was changing, was told by the guy behind the desk they couldn’t do it that day but could Tuesday morning. Went back Thursday still not done the new tires arrived and I needed the tubes to get the tires mounted and get my customer going. Took the tubes to Reds and Mike understood my situation and repaired the tubes why I waited. Would give zero stars if possible. Reds is the place to go.

Surprised and disappointed to read all the bad reviews. I knew there were lots of choices for tires in Monticello, and I stopped at Royal Tire first. They had the tire I wanted at a more than reasonable price, and they were able to get them mounted and do an alignment check without an appointment. No upsells. Couldnt be happier.

I only went to Royal tire in Monticello and no where else. One day I tried to schedule a tire rotation and they told me they dont schedule tire rotations any longer. And I bought my tires there. Huh? How are you supposed to get your tires rotated then? Come in and wait and hope there is an opening?! No way. This was the worse management decision Royal tire could have ever done. I no longer go there at all due this stupidity. I was able to schedule a tire rotation at Goodyear just down the road from Royal tire without a problem. It was even the same day. The guys at Goodyear laughed when I told them of Royal Tires new and stupid policy about not scheduling a tire rotation...

Took it in for a tire rotation, alignment check, and I asked for them to see if there was anything wrong with any parts. I was told all it needed was an alignment. I went in for my alignment, paid, was handed my invoice and sent out the door. Got home to read it and the guy who did my alignment has wrote down my tie rod and other parts were bad.Why would you do the alignment knowing I have a part broken, that would require another alignment after fixing it?? Once the bad parts were discovered, I should’ve been consulted and I should’ve been asked if I wanted to complete the alignment.

Never go here! They have so many bad reviews. I went there for a simple tire rotation and had them check to see if i needed an alignment. Drove it in there just fine. Now I have no truck because i cant drive it out of there because they broke the tie rod and claim its not their responsibility. Umm, it drove in there just fine and now I cant drive it out! Also the salesmen try to tell you that you need work done that you really dont. They tried saying I need new ball joints when i just had them all replaced! So I go in for a tire rotation and now I have no truck and they say it needs $3,000 worth of work. Yea right!!

Changed oil here several times over several years, multiple cars, no problems.[Update 9.08.18]Walmart has disappointed for the last time! Sure it may be busy at noon on a Saturday but, whatever read my review on them if you arent already familiar with the risks.Royal Tire in contrast have never made mistakes like forgotten caps, plugs, filters, wrong oil and for sure never soiled the inside of my cars.Anyway I will be using Royal from now on, they even take competitor coupons. The price isnt much different than Walmart and I didnt have to wait in line.

My husband was coming home from the Twin Cities around 6:15 pm on Jan. 29 when the weather was so brutally cold. His low tire pressure light had come on and he could not get the cap off on the tire. We tried to find a place to help him and found Royal Tire in Monticello online. I called and they said he could stop by. When he got there, they also had trouble getting the cap off but finally were able to do so. They filled all the tires with air, replaced the faulty cap and then were not going to charge anything. Their bottom lie seems to be be service or money. This franchise puts the royal in Royal Tire!!!

Will never go to royal tire of Monticello again. Went in for a noise with the tires rotation in the front I thought for sure was a wheel bearing. They told me it was the rotors so I got new rotors all around ($800), Noise was still there so I took it back a week later and told them it has to be the bearings. Sure enough their mechanic confirmed it to be bearings. Had them replaced ($485) and the noise is still there. In all honesty if they didnt have my information on file I would have taken my keys and drove off without paying. Never going to this awful place again to get ripped off by their salesmen.

New to town and needed an oil change. Thought I might try this place. Had an appointment for an oil change and just asked them to check my alignment. Sat in the waiting room for over 2 HOURS with an appointment ! Not only that, a gal sat right next to me smacking her mouth while disgustingly eating an entire pizza to herself. An oil change and alignment check should take less than an hour TOPS. I sat there and watched about 20 people come and leave before me. When I went to pay there was no apology for the wait, the only reason I give them 2 stars is because they didnt charge me more than just the oil change. At that point honestly I should probably not have even been charged for that. Will not be returning to Royal Tire.

Got 3 tires

I work with Royal Tire almost on a weekly basis. They are almost always able to squeeze me in for an appointment and always willing to help.

I Had a 2:30 appnt just to have a back tire patched. 2 1/2 hours later it was done. While driving home my truck was shaking so bad I could barely steer, but rode fine when I dropped it off. I noticed a huge bump in the front tire where obviously the cords were busted on the inside. The next day my tire blew up while parked, shredded cords sticking out all over the place. Its a good thing me and my kids werent killed. I know something happened while my truck was there and they let me leave KNOWING how dangerous that was. Their website says Quality service, people you can trust Seriously? Total idiots.

Horrible! I had an appointment for 4 new tires when I went to pick it up I noticed on the service sheet they had broken 2 wheel nuts that hold my hubcaps on. The guy taking my money wasnt even going to mention it. So I asked, his reply was, oh those are just dust covers. I said no they are NOT dust covers. They hold my hubcaps on! They were also suppose to do a free alignment check. They stated they didnt have time and asked if I would come back the next day. What? When reviewing my bill I noticed they also charged me for a warrenty on the tires I never asked for. So I let everyone I know my experience and they too will never use Royal tire.

Had an appt. For oil change and tire rotation they took my car and an hour and a half later I asked what the deal was he said the oil additive I wanted added was really thick and it was taking a long time to pour in and after the hour and a half they didnt even rotate my f***** tires! I have came here before and was terrible too. Dont know why I came back but NEVER AGAIN!!

Bought tires for the wifes van because they were bald...no other reason. Had to take it back in twice because they kept leaking down, got some bs story about how the wheels aluminum was reacting and causing the seal to turn loose. Funny thing is that the tires they took off never leaked like that. Both times they tried to talk us into more repair work. They probably get away with that line of bull with a lot of customers but the first job I ever had was as a tire tech for sears. Spent thirty years after that providing troubleshooting and repair service of electro-mechanical systems. If I had owned the equipment to change the tires myself I would have done it. Spend your money wisely but not there.

Looking for a tire store and reading the reviews. And this place is one I will not go to. I know there are biases and there are circumstance where things do go wrong. But this place has alot of bad reviews.
