Carmen provided excellent service ! I received a full Brazilian & she took her time . The normal pain that comes with waxing was not bad at all. She saw that I had thicker hair & she did not rush through the process like some waxers. I’m just visiting family in New Jersey & needed to get a wax but I will make sure to make her my regular whenever I come into town for any service. She did a great job ! Thank you !

I LOVE CARMEN!! I went to The European Wax center in Montclair. Now I haven’t gotten waxed in a very long time so I was scared it would hurt but I went anyway. I got Carmen and let me tell you!! I love going to this center to get my waxes! The staff is always professional and friendly! All of the girls engage in conversation and make you feel a part of the center. If youre concerned about who to see, you need not worry at all! Ive been waxed by almost all of the girls at the center and they all take care of their guests! If youre thinking about switching to the European Wax Center, I cant recommend this center enough!Any questions or concerns that may arise have been dealt with swiftly, pleasantly, and without issue. This was my first time at European Wax Center and it was so such a great experience. Just a note I’ve been going to the same person in my home town for so long and now that I’m in college away from home I needed a new waxer. I was nervous to go to a new place, but Erin did such a great job. I’m leaving for the summer soon, but I’m definitely coming back next semester!

I have been going to Brandi for a Brazilian Wax and Bikini Wax at European Wax Center in Montclair for years. The Center is always so clean and organized and they are pleasant and helpful at the front desk. Brandi always takes me right on time and is extremely thorough and kind. She also makes sure to keep her space extremely clean and is very knowledgeable about all of their services. I cannot recommend Brandi enough.

I went in to purchase the serum. When I walked in the receptionist asked if I had an appointment. I told her no, I just wanted to purchase serum. I grabbed it off the self and bought it to the counter to pay. The receptionist asked me if that would be all. I said yes. Then she asked if I had an account with them. I said no. She asked me my name. I asked her, “can I just purchase the serum without providing my name?” She said, no that they would need a name and number to look up the account. I wasn’t sure if I had one, because I’ve only just purchased their products without services. I gave her my name and number. She said she couldn’t find it but that she could create an account. I told her I did not want to create a account, I just wanted to buy the serum. She said “ I’m sorry you must create an account in order to buy.” I asked her why, she said “to keep track of your purchases.” So I told her I would not be doing that. I put the serum back on the shelf and left. I called another European wax center in Clifton. I asked them if I can make a purchase of their products without creating an account, they said absolutely. So I had to drive 10 minutes out of my way to buy the serum. I will be contacting the manager at the Montclair location. That was ridiculous.

I’ve been seeing Yarilis (Yaya) for awhile now and she is quick, succinct and always makes the experience easy! Her work is continuously good.

I’d been growing my eyebrows out for over a year and told my waxer that I was really scared to get them waxed. I just wanted them touched up a little bit. Now, on one of my eyebrow tails there’s barely enough hair to be visible. I’m so so disappointed and will not be going back. Two stars only because they were so nice.

I am very disappointed in this location.I’ve been a customer at EWC for almost 10 years, I’ve been going to various locations in NJ but this one is the worst honestly.The waxers are all good, no complaints they’re doing their job. But it’s the front desk workers and the manager.The front desk persons are unfriendly, not welcoming. I’m never let in on time, they’re always running late. And now since covid they let us sign in via text message. I had an appointment and checked in, waited for 15 minutes outside and then the front desk lady comes out and tells me she has to reschedule my appointment because I missed it. I was confused because I’ve been standing outside for so long because I’m not allowed in because of covid restrictions and no one thought they’d ask me? I told her I didn’t not miss my appointment, i was on time and I’ve been waiting to be called in. She said I missed my appointment by 45 minutes and when she checked in her system she confirmed that I was on time but then she came up with an excuse that I didn’t check in. I showed her that I did check in and she kept lying about not receiving my check in and that she has been texting me without getting any answer.She was extremely unprofessional and rude and dismissive, trying to make everything seem like it was my fault. She didn’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience. I called the same day to reach the manager Abbie which by the way, is way worse than the front desk staff, always so unfriendly. But it wouldn’t bother me every time I would go because at the end of the day, I was just going there to get a service done. I left my number and name to talk to Abbie, three times that day and didn’t get a call back. I called three days later and left my phone number again and still no one contacted me. So this resonates with them being very rude and unprofessional. I was very sad because I go to this location because it’s convenient for me, but I would rather drive an extra 20 minutes to the Livingston location where they’re more professional and friendly.So all I can say is that I’ve been very patient with this location for 4 years now and every time I leave I regret going. This incident was the breaking point. And I’m never going back!And FYI I had my appointment on May 10th at 10.30 and I am a recurring customer.

Critical: Quality, ValueFirst off, this was my first Brazilian and Dianey didnt do a good job ! I just figured that, that was a hard area to wax. I was told that I will get a discount for my first Brazilian, so when I went to pay, they asked me if I was a New Jersey resident. I told them I wasnt and they said thats the only way I can get the discount! I told the clerk that NO WHERE states this and when I called and made the appointment no one told me that even though I told the clerk that it was my very first Brazilian!!! My tech didnt do a good job on my Brazilian because she left quite a bit of hair at the top and then this B.S rule that they have about not giving discounts for outside residents! Ill never go back and I wont ever recommend this place either!! Dont waste your time here!!

I visited this location for the first time and everyone was was extremely nice and helpful. The place was squeaky clean,everyone wore a mask and I felt completely safe.Brandi did my eyebrows and my Brazilian wax,she was AWESOME!very professional,polite and just super sweet.

Poor service, not professional. I went there for waxing my full arm and ended up leaving there half way and not even completed after 45 min. The waxers yaya and Tabrina don’t know how to wax and Tabrina went over my arm multiple times and couldn’t remove the hair. My arm was all red and bruised. Stay away from this center. Even Abri the manager of the center was very rude and didn’t want to credit me the service. Please stay away from this center.

WOW!!! I have gone to many other EWC locations, but this one is BY FAR the best! I worked with Brandi and she does my Brazilians and underarms. She gets all the hair out and even prevents ingrowns. She takes her time and picks the excess hair out carefully with a tweezer. Not awkward at all with her - keeps convo going too! Highly recommend.

I made my first ever waxing appointment with this store Ten days in advance on the app to get a wax done before I leave for vacation. The next day I got a call from one of the girls asking me if I could come in a little earlier that day so they could fit in everything I wanted done, which was no problem at all. Then the day before my appointment, I got a call confirming my appointment that I would be there, which I did. The DAY OF my appointment, I get a call saying that they can’t accommodate my current appointment, and they could only fit in one. After explaining to that I’m leaving for vacation the next day and I need both done, they asked me to come in at two separate times throughout the day. I said no, and immediately called the Clifton location and they fit me in that day. I’m really disappointed in what happened, I was looking forward to my wax for my vacation, the LEAST they could of done is let me know a few days in advanced that they could not accommodate me, not 4 HOURS before my appointment.

One person I definitely would recommend would be RIVERA. From the first appointment, I had with her I knew she was a keeper. When I began waxing at European Wax Center my hair was extremely thick but River made the whole experience painless. She knew all the right techniques to get the job done while minimizing the pain. Another plus is her amazing personality that knows how to light up a place.

Center was very clean and all of the employees are very professional. All of the waxers are great and the manager is very nice! Will be back soon for my next reservation.

I have been going to the Montclair location for years and while I have always had a positive experience with my wax specialists, the customer service at the front desk is a hit or miss. Depending on who is working, there is a completely different atmosphere at this location. Today when I went in to make an appointment, one of the women at the front desk was very helpful and assisted me but her other receptionist was sleeping. Laid back in her chair, head flipped back, mouth open, sleeping. Over the years it seems management has lost any concern for standards or expectations of their staff members.

Horrible location. Dirty, does not follow protocol. do not go here

The first thing I would like to say about the Center is they do employ one of the best waxers that I have come across in all my years as a Loyal European wax customer, her name is Alexa, she is awesome!The problem lies in the front desk, they are extremely unhelpful and never answer the phone. More specifically I had a very disturbing interaction with the center manager. Upon checking out, they told me they could not find my package in the system and I needed to pay for my service. I have had a package for the past eight years, which I tried to explain to them. That day they were changing their pos system and I told them to let me know when they figure it out. I was uncomfortable standing by the front desk because there were several other people in the center and during these Covid days that protocol is not acceptable and it definitely made me uncomfortable.I have had a package for the past eight years, which I tried to explain to them. Since they were changing their system and I told them to let me know when they are able to find it. Before I returned home I got a call from the front desk, the center manager and she started telling me that I needed to pay for the service because they weren’t able to find it. I explained to her that that made no sense because I’ve been getting waxed at their center for the past five months which means that I have never paid for a service and that is absurd. The next thing I know she told me that I was no longer welcome at her center and I was banned.Well I understand that everybody’s doing the best they can during these times, The way she spoke to me and accused me of refusing to pay for service was completely unacceptable. The next day I was able to dig a little deeper and had two accounts which they weren’t able to pull up because their system was down. I’ve asked to speak to the manager again and she would not get on the phone. I called back the next day and asked to speak to someone at corporate and they advised me that the owner of the center would be reaching out. I’m still waiting for that call .I will remain a loyal customer of European wax center but I will never step foot in that center again. There is an amazing center with an amazing front desk staff in Totowa, a little further from my house but worth the smiles I get at the front desk there all the time. Sorry Alexa you’re wonderful!Hire a new center manager Montclair, or send her for customer service training!

As a 1st timer I decided to get a Brazilian, under arms and lower legs done all at once. I was so nervous. Maria made all that go away the minute she stepped in the room. She was very informative, gave me tips on after care and explained the process. I have to say it was not as painful as I imagined. Maria made me feel so comfortable! What a sweet heart! I’m definitely sticking with her going forward. Thank you Maria for making my 1st experience a great one.

From the warm and welcoming feeling the ladies gave me at the front desk when I walked in, catching upWith my esthetician (it’s never a dull moment with her) to me walking out feeling like myself again. I just received my very first wax with them, it was amazing. I’m used to a lot of pain but the pain level was so low that I doubted hairs were even being removed. I got a Brazilian wax by Brandy, such a sweet heart, very friendly and professional. From what I have experienced with other wax centers I would definitely recommend them based off just this one visit. It was so pleasant and peaceful. If you have gotten waxed more than once you will love this place, if it’s your first time, you don’t know what to expect and you don’t have anything to compare it to. Yes, it’s gonna hurt but not bad at all, I promise.

I have been a European Wax center client for about 3 years now and have always liked my experiences. My usual waxer had unfortunately left and I read reviews about different locations and waxers. I came across great reviews for Alex at the Montclair location and figured I would try it. I absolutely loved my experience. The front desk staff was nothing but professional and kind. I felt very welcomed and treated with kindeness (due to covid we had to check in via text-worked perfectly and absolutely loved it. I experienced the front desk during check out.) Also, Alex was absolutely amazing. This experience had been the least painful (Brazilian) wax I have every recieved. She new methods and motions for hair removal that not only were painless but that removed everything. She was very detailed and removed 100% of my hair. I am so happy that I had this experience and booked future appointments with Alexa. Im regards to European Wax center in general, I like the system they have in play in response to COVID. Waxers clean, wear protective gear, and the checkin in system via the phone.

The turn over of staff are Extremely High, Every appointment, I was I offered a new staff member, the person was no longer employed at the center. The front desk staffs, are at times Rude, Always willing to remind the customer of the 9 minutes policy. They will kindly talk the customer, into bying a plan, once you sign the dotted line, there goes the proper customer service.

I love this European Wax location. The ladies that work here are all friendly. Ive been going for three years and never had an issue. In specific, Charmaine and Savannah are both awesome in making you feel at ease while being waxed. Definitely recommend.

Ive been a patron for a little over 2 years. The receptionists are very professional. The establishment is always clean. The service is pretty consistent regardless of the waxologist (although Brandi is my favorite.)

First time customer about a week ago. I had Jay, she was super nice and made me feel super comfortable. We had conversation during the whole session. The organization was very clean and professional.Came in only wanting to do my eyebrows but ended up walking out with the brazailan wax. I already noticed a big difference. I was happy with the expericence although it is a bit pricey, but that was expected.

Since I cant give zero stars i will give one. worst run center i have been to no one ever knows what is going on. poor people skills and their bathroom is always gross.
