Went in to get my transmission looked at. They rated me at $7000 cause I needed a whole new one, and told me if I did a simple transmission flush it would kill my transmission. Got a second opinion from my uncles guy (who knows everything about transmissions), he actually recommend starting with a simple flush and that ended up fixing the problem. Service was slow here but the lady that helped me was polite, but they took over 3 hours to do a oil change. Point being, I wont trust to go here for anything else ever again. I was hoping to not get ripped off simply cause Im a girl.. but sadly I feel as if this is what happened.

Second time here. First time, I asked them to look at one thing, and instead they told me several other things they suggested I get done and DID NOT investigate what I asked them to. Second time, which was yesterday, I got all new tires (and alignment), and my wheel is now damaged and has popped the original tire AND A REPLACEMENT I had to pay to get installed today. Currently stranded on the highway in Chicago waiting for my second tow today. I’m going to be getting my money back and will not return.

My vehicle experienced over heating on a Saturday afternoon and I am from out of town. I was able to make it to Firestone where Kyle & his team were able to squeeze me in to get diagnostics performed to at least get some answers on what was causing the issue. He was also willing to drive somewhere to obtain the part if we could find it so I could get back on the road on Saturday evening. In the end, we were unable to obtain the part since the parts department at the dealerships were closed. On Monday morning, he patiently waited as I worked with the dealership and warranty departments to get some answers.I ended up not getting any of the work done at Firestone because it needed to go back to the dealership to handle as a warranty repair. However, I appreciated their understanding to my situation, quick diagnostics, straight forward answers and willingness to work with me. Customer Service was top of the line!

Honest and serves the customer. I was on a road trip from Chicago with first stop in Minneapolis. I had my car inspected before leaving town for road worthiness. While in Minneapolis I notice the rear of the car was making clunk and thud sounds over rough road. I call on Saturday afternoon at 2:30PM. Matt the service manager freed up time to check out my car and had the problem fixed before 6 PM. He found the rear sway bar links needs to be replaced. He called the Firestone in Chicago and learned they failed to find this issue during the checkup. So Matt replaced the sway bar links at no cost to us.After I dropped off my car, I was concerned that I might be ripped off. After all, I was 400 miles from home and at the start of a road trip, he could have charge me a thousand dollars for safety issues and I would have paid for them. But Matt was honest. He went above and beyond to take care of my car. If I live in Minneapolis, this Firestone would be where I will bring my car.

I had quite the experience, not only did Charles get me in right away without an appointment to get new tires and an alignment, but when there were issues with my Firestone credit card, Charles stayed on the phone with customer service for me and straightened everything out. Friendly staff, havent done me wrong! What needs fixed generally gets fixed, no pressure to get stuff that ya dont need, and several times have saved me from disaster, like replacing a timing belt that was a whisper away from disintegrating (saw it for myself).

I really hope I am wrong, but I have a strong suspicion that I was tricked into paying for a very expensive part I did not need to replace: I originally brought in my car for what I thought was a faulty battery, but was told that I needed to replace my alternator for a total of almost $700. After a couple of days, I had troubles starting the car again, but, to my embarrassment, realized that I wasnt fully depressing the brake pedal. Now, I am pretty sure that this was the problem when I first took the car in, but instead of telling me, they charged me for the alternator. Again, I am not 100% sure, but I do not trust this place anymore.UPDATE: After receiving my feedback, the new manager (Kyle) reached out to me to apologize, and, after some negotiation, refunded me the labor costs for this service, which I appreciate.

DO NOT GO HERE. My husbands truck was pissing power steering fluid, brought it in to Firestone and they quoted $1,397.38 to have the rack and pinion fixed. Went to Big O Tires and they checked it for free and found the CORRECT issue which was only a $20 o ring that needed to be replaced and sealed. FRIESTONE WILL OVER CHARGE AND LIE STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE.

Ive had quite a few disappointing vehicle service experiences over the years. Fortunately, a recent visit to this Firestone store was quite the opposite. I brought in my SUV for a wheel balance and alignment, both of which were done on time and corrected the vibration that I was having at highway speeds. Everyone, without exception, makes mistakes but the difference is in how they handle them. The tech that fixed my vehicle forgot to make sure the steering wheel was centered so when I left I found it angled to the left. When I called back about it, rather than blaming me for something, or saying it was normal or any myriad of excuses Ive had over the years at other places, they simply said yes we know exactly what it is, bring it back in and well have the same tech correct it. I truly appreciate their quick and honest response! Knowing that its the kind of environment where the tech felt comfortable enough to admit the mistake and that they instantly figure out the best way to make it right means that Ill definitely be going back for future service. Honesty and trust are sadly no longer the norm in business so when I find one that is, Im sticking with it! Well done to the entire staff!

NEVER GOING BACK HERE !!!I arrived at this service on Saturday evening to do the alignment after replacing the steering rods. They did it quickly, but the car began to pull to the left. I had to return on Sunday to check the alignment again, but they could not find the reason and said to leave the car and on Monday the leading mechanic will check the reasons.On Monday, I called at lunchtime myself (probably they were too busy to dial me) and the guy from the reception said that they did not know the reason why my wheel alignment went astray. Then he thought for a couple of seconds and said that they would try to swap the front tires. They called me and said that now the car began to pull to the right and the tires were the reason.Accordingly, they suggested I need to change all four tires. I asked if I should pay again for the alignment after that and the answer is yes! They said that I bought a wheel alignment without a guarantee, although no one offered it to me!I took the car and papers home and there I found that in THEIR CHEKLIST all four tires have the same tread depth which is 7/32. I decided to check it and found out that the wheels crosswise (front right and rear left, front left and rear right) have the same tread depth, but differ from each other, which may be the reason that my car is pulled in any direction! And I swapped the wheels on the left side, the car began to pull less!It’s hard for me to believe that they are not looking at the car filling out their checklist! Do they really check everything that they mark there ?! Or did they intentionally swap wheels to sell me tires ?! And after that they acted like I’m a liar and came to deceive them on the service (yes, Mike?).P.S. Tell your mechanics that even on small hills it’s worth putting the car on the handbrake and not trying to damage the transmission of your customers in this way.

Just the whole experience was relaxing, well as much as it could be, considering your there getting your vehicle fixed. Theres a reason why I drive from Elk River to come here. Went there to take care of a nail in a tire on my brand new pick-up truck.Service agent backs my truck up into another customers vehicle.They apologize and say that they will take care of it.Now, I have to take time off work to go get an estimate done.Got the estimate. Had to wait 2 days for the FIrestone rep to call me about fixing my truck. Theyll take your money right away, but if they gotta fix something they broke, they take their sweet ass time.Rep called me and said I have to send them a copy of the estimate...told him it was already done. He said Great! Told me as soon as they receive a copy of the estimate, they would call me back with how to proceed.Sent them the estimate. 2 days later, no call back. So I called the rep back. He said told me I had to send it again. Who the hell are these idiots? You mess up my truck. You lose my estimate information that I sent you. How can I ever trust Firestone again?He says if I send it to him again, hell respond and take care of it same day. 2 days later, he sends me an email saying that he took care of it. But you still didnt effing do what you said you would do in the time that you said you would do it.Then we get to the part where I have to get a rental while my truck is in the shop getting repaired. I sent him the exact location and phone number of the rental car agency that was next to the repair facility. He makes a reservation at a completely different location and sends me the link.Cant these people do anything right?!?!?!I had to call and change the reservation.And the whole time, theres no mention of what theyd do to make things right...what theyd do to make up for my lost time.Why should I...or anyone, for that matter...why should a customer ever trust Firestone again?

I love everything about this store except that my most recent experience is quickly turning into a horror story.We used this Firestone location for both our cars for over 3 years but I decided never to use this location again cause of one person at the front desk.The person claims that we asked our winter tires to be thrown away. Tires we bought just this winter !!!! And we never asked to throw away. There was nothing in the work order receipt about any task we requested remotely associated with the tires.Irrespective, I am working with their lovely support staff but that front desk guy needs a vacation.

I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Went in to this location due to the convenience after realizing had a flat tire when I was leaving work and received prompt assistance without an appointment. I feel like I was kept in the loop regarding the work they were doing, and I felt like my wait time was very reasonable. Clean and comfortable waiting room, and management promptly dealt with someone who came in and was using the facilities without being a customer.

These guys are quick, reasonably priced, pretty competent, and great to work with. Joe, in particular, is really honest and communicative and always treats my classic car great. He noticed my tie rods were loose when I brought my car in for an alignment, saving me a lot of money farther down the road (I opted to change them myself). Their lifetime alignment is also a really great deal.Im giving four stars and not five because when I got my winter tires mounted last year, the front and back wheels had been swapped on one side (and they are different sizes, so it was very easy to tell). They pulled the car back in and made the swap in 10 minutes and gave me a $20 discount, so no big deal, but kind of weird. Also, their online appointment system is pretty useless since theres no way to tell whether the time youre requesting is available or not. Call them on the phone, its quicker.

I witnessed what struck me as extremely ethical conduct. My car was getting dropped off by the tow company for work in diagnosing the problems preventing our car from starting. However, the tow operator got it started on the Firestone lot. The Firestone manager made it very clear that he was happy for me (saving time, money, etc) even though there would be no revenue coming his way. I was impressed!! Way to be, Firestone Minneapolis!!

On a rainy Friday afternoon, I needed help with a spike in my tire. The guys at this location were extremely friendly and best of all, willing to work WITH me. The first tech got my tire out of the trunk, told me hed call with the results of his investigation (whether it could be fixed or needed replacing) AND got a torque wrench to tighten my spare up!When I returned the next day, I got free coffee, another great smile, and incredibly fast service!Even though this location is not close to my home, I appreciate the feeling that I am a valued customer, not an invoice to be worked and will happily go the extra 5 miles to have them work on my car again! Thanks to all 4 of the guys I had dealings with.

Brought my car in for a tire rotation and inspection. Took almost 3 hours, and was given advice on brakes that didnt need to be changed. Went in for an alignment at a different place a week later, and they recommended a tire rotation. I hadnt realized the Firestone hadnt even done it! Never go to Minneapolis. Ever

I went in and got an oil change, my sway bar link pins replaced and rear brakes replaced. I had to immediately go back the next day for them to fix the brakes again. My car was leaking oil everywhere. My dad tightened a lug nut and it stopped leaking. I brought it back in and they sneered that my car isnt leaking and that their oil change was completely fine. I have a huge oil stain in the garage to prove it wasnt fine.Here I am two months later getting my car checked out by a different Firestone. One of the link pins is very loose and the brakes arent aligned correctly. He is nice enough to fix both of these for free.Ill keep making the drive from my place from literally 2 blocks from this place to the Maple Grove Firestone instead to get my car worked on. Unacceptable that even after going back in twice, a different car place is fixing their mistakes.

Horrible customer service. I made an appointment for 4:00, to allow them enough time to complete the 45K checkup on my car. I arrived at 4, and Ian, who helped me at the front desk, failed to make eye contact and listen when I was explaining additional items I wanted them to check while in. I sat down in the waiting room, and watched my car sit in the lot for 45 minutes, not entering the shop until 4:45. When I asked when it was going to be done, and why it sat so long, the response I received was, its like a doctors office. Were doing the best we can. That they were waiting for my cabin air filter to arrive. . . he ordered it a little bit ago and it should be there any minute. At 5:30 they came and got me because my car was finished. I then received this:Ian: Youre not going to be happy with me.Me: Why not?Ian: Well, to replace your cabin filter we have to remove a pedal, then it is behind plastic. Because its so cold the plastic was really brittle, and when we went to undo the clips it acted like it was going to break. We turned the heat up on it trying to warm it, but nothing worked. It really needed to sit in the shop longer to warm up.I finally interjected: What are you trying to say?!Ian: We didnt replace the air filter.So after an hour and a half, sitting 45 minutes after my appointment time, and leaving work early to make this appointment, they didnt complete the slated work. I then asked, So if it would have gotten in the shop on time, when I made my appointment for 4:00, it wouldve been warm enough after an hour and a half, yes? And the response I received was, Well, perhaps, but theres no way to tell.They also didnt turn off my warning lights for the Time for Regular Maintenance and Fill Washer Fluid. The other work I asked them to look into. . . Never addressed.I will NEVER be returning to this company. Rich, their manager is just as bad with customer service. So if you are someone who appreciates a good experience and customer service is important, dont waste your time. . . They sure dont value it.

I had an excellent experience with Firestone this past weekend. Dan was very helpful and courteous even though they were having an extremely busy post Thanksgiving Saturday. I was impressed with the speed and price of the service. They didnt try to sell me any extra stuff I didnt need. Checking out was equally pleasant with mechanic Scott who was informative and friendly. I was a little leery when I read all the negative reviews, but a neighbor told my she always had good experiences with the Firestone guys, so I am glad I listened to her. The negative reviews are all pretty old too, so maybe there was a past problem that was addressed. Keep up the good work!

I called in yesterday an spoke to Joseph to get a pair of Ecopia Plus tires however it seemed like this location was attempting to pull off a scam. They said they have a policy that all tire purchases are cash only an I would have to go across the street to the Bulldog to use the atm, its only a 3.50 fee... I asked to see the policy in writing an Sean the manager replies I dont have to show any policies to anyone, if you want the tires, its cash only. He said this also, Honestly, dont care enough about you to lose my job over this, its company policy. and after raising many good points about what sketchy business hes trying to operate he says You know, I dont have to sell you the tires. I took that advice. Real employee of the month here... this guy seemed to have a chip on his shoulder because people are scamming him with fake credit cards an hes taking it out on new customers...All this sounded too suspicious so I just called a different Firestone, Brooklyn Park where they were able to sell me 4 Ecopia an allowed me to pay with my bank card like I wanted. They said there is no policy like Sean an Joseph was suggesting an will report this situation to their boss. They are happy to take my bank card an so I will be giving my future business to Brooklyn Park Firestone.

Went in to get one headlight replaced and they informed me that both needed replaced as they typically go out at the same time. I was okay with replacing both and she quoted me at $120. When I got there the bill was $150 and I when I looked at the summary of the bill, she had charged me two hours of labor at $55/hour. When I asked her how long it took to replace a headlamp, the lady said oh it takes about an hour for each one. Its a pretty delicate process.I went outside and checked my headlamps (thankfully) because one of them wasnt working! They realized that there was a communication error and had only actually replaced one. Okay, so minor error but in my mind I was thinking well damn I have to wait her for another hour for them to replace this one. No no no, they had that headlamp replaced in under 5 minutes!Why was I charged for 2 hours of labor when it took less than 5 minutes tops to replace 1 headlamp?!Horrible upcharging, terrible business practices, and just shady in general with how they take advantage of customers.I will NOT be going back to them and highly recommend going elsewhere!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. I saw all the 1-star reviews and ignored them, hoping that my problem was simple enough to avoid any issues. I was wrong, had a bad experience, and nearly got ripped off.I had a slow leak in one tire and a rattle from the bottom of the car. When I picked it up, they had patched the leak. As for the rattle, they said they had completed an inspection and replaced some bushings on the exhaust -- all squared away. Of course, as soon as I drove away, the rattle was still there -- they clearly hadnt really found the problem or tested that it was fixed.I called the shop right away and spoke to Cory. He immediately responded with a sarcastic, condescending attitude, telling me that if the bushings didnt fix it, the problem was that I needed a new exhaust (note that he had never mentioned this when I picked up the car), and I thought Id give you the $10 fix instead of the $1800 fix. He then went on to say, Of course, if you want to come in tomorrow, I can replace the exhaust for you for $1800. No thanks -- all trust was gone by this point.I ended up taking it to another shop with better reviews (Clausens Service Center) and they found the problem immediately -- a broken spring. It was still a pricey repair ($800), but it fixed the rattle and the suspension is much improved. If I had listened to Firestone, I would have paid $1800 for a completely unnecessary repair that wouldnt even have resolved the problem.These guys are scammers with horrible attitudes. Do yourself a favor and give them a wide berth.

My car is getting long in the tooth, so I really didnt want to spend any more than I had to when I went in to replace a tire.Unprompted, the mechanic at the front desk asked if I would prefer to fix my current tire, which was leaking badly and had slipped off the rim, rather than buy a new one. In the end, this ended up saving me about $80, which was very nice. I know where Im going for car maintenance from now on!
