Wow!! We are new customers of Garys and Peggys at European Motorsports. And I cant begin to tell you how I appreciate honesty, integrity, friendliness, and good old fashioned customer service and I could go on and on!! They now have all of our business and we will continue to tell all of our patients friends and anybody that has a car that needs to be fixed with honesty and integrity! Thank you Gary and Peggy!!
I havent wrote a review for a while. I usually use dealership to do general services. I went to here today to do a maintenance for my mercedes, they provide such nice services and I have to recommand to anyone who own a euro car.
Ive taken my Audi here multiple times for service. Every time I have received the best of service, and they have been extremely attentive to whatever concerns I have. The work has been done in a timely manner and always for a good price. Am definitely a lifelong customer!
They are very knowledgeable on German Cars, and are very reasonable when compared to the dealerships.
They rip you off. :(
Ive been very greatful for Peggy and Gary at EMS. I bought a 2011 mercedes gl450 from an out of town buyer who wasnt Forth coming. Well after having it at MBKC for 1 week and getting a 8k estimate! It wasnt the best car buying experience. Ive called SEVERAL shops in the area and read reviews on them. Finally I just Googled European car repair and saw them Peggy is an amazing person and very kind amongst shell shoot you straight no dancing with her around a situation. Gary is also a great person I got a quote from them for almost 2k less and they gave me a priority list of things to do first so we did that. All I can say is I thank God for these kind souls and their team because Ive never owned a mercedes and to know these cars need special attention and not any repair shops can work on them they have a customer for life here!
Great Place. I took my X5 in back in june. It had gremlins in the system. It would stall when turning slowly in a parking lot or back out of the driveway. They put the scope on it and said it had a lot of faults and could not tell what they were. It had had some wiring replaced under warranty at the dealer in January when this started. Also a couple of other warning issues. Gary suggested I go back to dealer. I did - after 30 days of back and forth with the dealer and BMW USA and several loaner cars and being told it is fixed now. I got it back. It now runs great. The bill was $3000, but BMW covered it under the expired warranty. The culprit that caused the problem was the other BMW dealer in KC. The first owner took it to them for an AC repair that my dealer did not know about. Dealer #2 had not routed the AC wiring correctly and it shorted out, occasionally -- when turning. Dealer #1 was very frustrated when the problems was finally figured out. MY POINT is Gary saved my a bunch of money by NOT working on it. I will be going back soon however for brakes and oil change.
I found a Mercedes Benz online & like most buyers nowadays was going to purchase it virtually ( a fancy word for not being there lol) I found European Motor Sport online as well, to do a pre purchase quality inspection . Best $$ ever spent . Owners Peggy & Geary although I never met them personally only virtually 🙂 were awesome. Peggys professionalism over the phone is unparalleled .Gearys knowledge & love of cars is also unparalleled. He pointed out things on my possible dream car that me sitting in front of a computer screen looking at pictures & video of my car could never see. He was very detail oriented & explained everything he found wrong with the car so that I could make an informed decision on whether to buy or not to buy that is the ? lol .. Seriously though ...Online Car Buyers Beware, spend the extra $ & have your potential vehicle purchase checked out by European Motor Sport they are the Best.
Ive been taking multiple vehicles to Gary for 15+ years and have NEVER been dissatisfied!
Very courteous personnel. They have wonderful service and great timing. I didnt realize at first it was behind the Avis building, so if you dont see it keep going and you will.
If you have a Mercedes or any German car. Dont waste your time Money. Bring it to them. They fix it the First time.
Professional service. I felt they are honest and trustworthy. Reasonable price for the services. Will recommend.
Professionals that do great work. They stand behind their work and honor their warranty. The owners took charge and determined there was a wartanty materials/parts problem. They took the lead and responded so quickly that the problem was repaired in 2 or 3 days.I am extremely satisfied with the level of service and kind interaction with the staff at European Motor Sports.
Ive been taking my BMW 328i Xdrive there for about a year now for my routine maintenance, and Ive been satisfied every time. The prices are reasonable. The oil changes are a little pricey, but its worth it because they do a full inspection on your car and warn you of any potential repairs you may need. Its better to take advantage of it then verse waiting for something to break and then go back and pay extra for a diagnostic test.
Gary, Peggy and the team are outstanding! I first took my 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380SL to Gary after a mechanic in the Northland had had it for over two months and had been unable to address a faulty ABS speed sensor. Gary resolved the problem and also identified a number of other areas that needed to be addressed. Im happy to say that they took care of everything -- the car runs absolutely PERFECTLY now. Gary is honest, fair and easy to deal with. They are busy (for good reason) so sometimes it can take a little while to get everything done if there are lots of items for them to address, but the finished product is well worth the time. As long as theyre in business, theyll be the only ones who work on my classic!
They were the least expensive option I found for replacing rear rotors- recommended to me by a nearby body shop. Good quick service regardless of them accidentally spiking my alternator. I appreciated their fixing that for me at no charge, but failed to understand how replacing a battery was a $42.95 service. Overall I was happy with the quick turn-around, but the service/battery cost made it a mediocre experience.
Thank God for this place and their amazing owners and staff. I greatly appreciate how they explain everything to me in terms I can wrap my head around (Im not a car person) and I appreciate even more how they find the best way to accomplish their goals on my Audi, while finding the best economical solutions for it too. Bravo!
European Motorsports takes great care with my car and they’re excellent with customer service. I’ve never had an issue and doubt that I will in the future, as they’re always professional and discuss options in the care of your vehicle.
Excellent, ethical service. A local BMW dealer quoted $1200 to replace a fuel filler on my 07 328i. European Motorsports BMW mechanic found what was wrong and fixed it in a few minutes. NO CHARGE! And the problem is fixed! I am now becoming a regular service customer. You should, too.
Theyre knowledgeable, transparent and trustworthy.
I own a 2008 Mini Cooper S. I just wanted to thank Gary for being so honest and helping me find out that my engine was still under warranty and need to go to the dealership for repair. Its hard to find good people these days and I will be returning for all of my other service needs.
Ive worked on my own cars my entire life -- until I met these guys. They have been spot on every time Ive used them. Gary even stopped me with one engine problem and said, I could do this and charge you, but the dealer will do it for free. The dealer did replace for free. Every repair and every service has been perfect. Hard to do on cars this complicated. Thank you Gary and Peggy!
Professional service, fair price on the work.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH EMS. I used EMS and trusted them for years with my car until last month when I called them regarding a hesitation with acceleration for my 328I. I indicated that I had taken it to Barron and after driving it they concluded that it was coils and probably sparks plugs. So I had Gary at EMS validate so I could have him fix it . He indicated that he could not sense and feel any problems and would have to have it scanned and would take the price of the scan off the price of repair. I reluctantly agreed and after the $80 scan said it showed NOTHING. I told him there was definitely a problem and mentioned to Gary what I found out from Barons. Garys response was if it was a coil it would have shown a misfire on the scan. So I requested his recommendation and his response was there was NOTHING he could do in the short tern and I would have to wait UNTIL the car broke down and then have it towed. I told him that was unacceptable and was upset at the diagnosis. SO at the recommendation of a friend, I took my car to Georges imp[ort auto repair in Martin City, MO to validate the confusion and SURPISE !!!! the diagnosis was exactly what Barrons said and so I had Brad at Georgs make the coil change and new plugs and the car run fine. SO I AM OUT THE $80 dollars for a scan WITH NO WILLINGNESS TO REFUND AN INCORRECT DIAGNOSIS. I WILL NEVER USE EMS AGAIN.
They are friendly, helpful, professional, and hard-working.
Great experience. Very professional and a nice, clean waiting area.
I have been working on my cars since I was around 8 years old, I am 50 now. Its always difficult for me to have others do it for me because I think they rush things or dont take the proper care. I am a home builder/tradesman for many years from Massachusetts and I have been effected by the down turn in my industry needless to say I have been cris crossing the country trying to scratch out a living.. I have decided to make Kansas City my home for many reasons and now another. I found a service shop that I now know I can trust after they serviced my Mercedes for me!I am very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, the expedited service, the quality of the work and the fair pricing! I recommend this shop to anyone.
These guys know what they are doing. I appreciate them more after trying other places.
I took my 08 328xi in today actually - 1st thing I noticed was how clean the place was. I have been in shops my entire adult life, ran them, worked in them and I know how hard it is to keep a place clean. I dropped the car off with a list of things, Front and Rear Diffs, X drive xfer case, Manual transmission and engine oil change. Now normally I would do this myself buy I have been far to busy so I figured I would try them out. The car was ready when promised, all the fluids done, washer fluid topped off and ready to drive off 20 Minutes earlier than promised. Price wise it as about what I expected I $550 tax and all, granted if you arent used to BMW pricing that might come as a shock but the car has 114k on her and I love the car so investing in good fluids is important. I will be calling them in the spring when its due for a clutch and some bushings. Thanks again everyone!
Overall I believe this is a good shop with an excellent head Audi mechanic. As a relatively new Audi enthusiast however theyve left me wondering about some of the work theyve done on my high mileage Audi allroads. It is paramount that you know and completely understand all the work that is being done and the cost for the service.Ive taken an 04 allroad to them for service repairs and maintenance and they always give it back to me better than when it went in. As theyre proactive they always advise the customer to get other work done in addition to what the car was scheduled for. I went there because it was riding rough and they made it a lot better with new plugs and coils. However the extra tests and scans at $100/hr runs up additional costs without a fix to problems that are identified. I had 2 warrantied shocks replaced in january 2016 costing over $700 in labor with an $80 fee to run a scan. They did a good job with upgraded air/bag shocks and got me back on the road. Again the head Audi mechanic is excellent, very knowledgeable and personable. He confirms that you really have to spend the money for big maintenance (agreed) but again you need to know exactly what service is being performed or you may get frustrated. Hes actually the main reason I have taken my cars to EM if my primary mechanic at Import Masters is unable to put me on their schedule. if you dont want to pour money into high mileage euros stay away from these vehicles. But when you do spend thousands every year to keep them running you want to feel confident in the shop doing the work. European Motorsports are among those independent shops that continue to build that confidence.Ive also taken my 05 allroad for 35K maintenance interval and heater core flush for a cool $1100.00+ cost, again it came out better than it went in.. but servicing audis isnt cheap.
Always a great time with them
Gary and his crew have always taken care of my E46 2002 M3.
Excellent work and very reasonable
Excellent place
