The staff is professional, courteous and competent. I was even driven home after drop off and picked up to retrieve my car. This is above and beyond typical service and the are reasonably priced. I will be going back.

Excellent service! My van broke down late Monday night. I had it towed Tuesday morning and Bob fixed it within a few hours. The water pump and belt pulley went out together, so it was pricey! But the price was fair for the work, and the same-day-service was incredible. I’m grateful that we’ve found a permanent, reputable shop for our cars!

Cheshire Automotive is an honest and friendly automotive shop. They help me keep my 1995 Chevy Silverado on the road. They most recently fixed an ignition problem that was randomly preventing my truck from starting. I highly recommend this place for maintenance or any problems you might have with your vehicle.

When Eilenberger automotive closed their doors, I recd a letter from them advising me that Cheshire Automotive was their recommendation for auto repairs. So I took my 04 Pontiac Grand Am in for struts and alignment and a rear electric window repair. They did the work and had my car ready to go the next day. Recently went back for ac repair and check engine light. They found no problem on check engine light and found no issues with the code so they replaced the parts for air condition and charged it. Now she is quiet and blowing good cold air again. Good business and easy to get to. Will be taking my car there for repairs even though it is 16 years old it is still a clean car and running like a champ. Cheshire gets an A plus from me.

Gregg and his guys provided the ultimate in great service today. They asked questions, listened and offered practical advice. They also pay attention to little details that you might not have noticed but will help your car look better. You always have access to your car repair records which can be very helpful when planning future expenses. Last, but not least, they check recalls for your particular vehicle, so you can stay current with them. I wouldnt hesitate to refer them to my friends.

If I could, I would give these guys a X2 (10). They were professional but made you feel like you had been part of the family for years. I am not a car guy and could really care less about being a car guy but they explained the problems I had and the solution so even I could understand them. When people tell me they need something done on their car I can simply tell them Ive got a guy and know that whatever it is Greg and crew are going to take care of it right and do what needs to be done to fix the problems.Everyone needs a good mechanic they can trust...Cheshire it is!

I went here at the spur of a moment, at 530 on a Friday because my car was literally screaming at me he stayed around for me to show up with my vehicle and took it in.Get a call Monday saying the fix will be 730 (to fix the issue and also her new breaks and rotors) said okay do it, because I needed it fixed.I get a call back and get told they were able to fix my caliber that was messed up and saved me almost 200 dollars.Not too many places will tell you a certain price then call back and say thatll actually be less.Glad I know of a good honest mechanic around the area, already told people about the great service.Thanks guys, keep up the good work!!

Great first time experience! Dealer said I needed brake pads and rotor resurfacing. I took it to Cheshire for a second opinion. They told me the work the dealer recommended was not needed at this point. Very honest. I had them rotate my tires for a nominal fee. I will definately return when I need work in the future.

Wonderful place of business that I would recommend to anyone for automotive repairs. Greg, the owner, was very receptive and showed me what was wrong with the car and how he would fix it. He left out no details when explaining any part of the process and answered any questions I had. Customer service was great, I felt comfortable leaving my car in the hands of such trusting and informative employees.

Ive used Gregg and his team for about 2 years now, theyve done their work amazingly fast and excellent. When their work takes longer then usual or complications occur they have provided me with a loaner car so I can travel to and from work and continue on with my day to day responsibilities. Ive pumped thousands of dollars into their services and parts and have lasted long in my high mileage car, 220,000.Will recommend them in the long run for overall vehicle needs, now a days labor and parts are never cheap and therefore Cheshire is in the same marketplace as other Automotive, they just work with you more on a personal level.

Its not often that I feel comfortable leaving my truck somewhere to be worked on. I can say that I have no worries dropping it off at Cheshire Automotive. My whole family trusts them with their vehicles and have never had any issues. Friendly and courteous, they do what they can to work with you to get you taken care of.

Cheshire was recommended to me by another repair place so I called them up and got an estimate of $400-500 to replace a water pump. I told them I could give them the VIN as I wanted a good estimate but they said they didnt want to do that and just bring it in.So I took it in and they came back with an estimate of over $1600 for the water pump replacement. I could understand if they were a little off in their estimate but to be off by $1100 to $1200? It wasnt like they found other things wrong--this was just to replace the water pump. So I wasted a day and they also charged me $180+ to tell me that it would be $1600+.I told them no thanks and took it to the dealer who did it for under $1000 out the door after taxes. Lesson learned.

I have used Gregg several times over the past 5+ years on several different makes and models of cars. He always provides top notch service and is only going to recommend something if it actually needs to be done. Oil changes to much much more!

VERY HAPPY with the services I have received! Sandy is Great. I was quoted from a different automotive shop stating I needed $2500 worth of work which didnt include the possible head gasket repair. I took it to Cheshire Auto for a second opinion, by referral, and didnt have much hope for the Jeep, but the only thing the other auto shop got right was that my latch assembly was broken and needed replace (which I could tell because the rear window wouldnt close). They definitely treat all customer with the respect that ALL automotive companies should, whether your a man or women! This is one Automotive shop that I would HIGHLY recommend, because they wont charge you for something that you dont need.

Greg, the owner, really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with his work. I brought him a very odd electrical problem and instead of throwing his hands up and giving up, he stuck with it and figured it out. Cheshire automotive is the most reliable garage Ive ever been to. You know you can count on them to provide quality work and give you an honest answer.

Gregg is very knowledgeable and wont hesitate to explain things to you. Gave me a loaner car as part of the service so I wasnt out of a vehicle while my Volvo wagon was being worked on. Wont charge you for basic diagnostics and taking a look at the problem. I was treated very well here, prices are fair, and I wouldnt recommend any other auto repair shop.

Went in today for the first time after a friend recommended, and am really glad I did ... friendly staff, totally reasonable prices, but most importantly they gave me service recommendations with no-pressure: things to keep an eye on. I’ll be back!!

Awful service. Overpriced. Wont be back. Another shop I trust referred me because their alignment machine was broken. $500 in labor costs for an alignment and to rethread a stripped bolt; outrageous. I only accepted the quote over the phone because I thought it included a separate part/repair I had asked about. When I got there they quoted another $600 for the other repair, another shop on the same street took care of it for less than $200.

I always know Ill get quality and professional service at Cheshire Automotive.

This is got to be the most reputable and honest auto repair shop Ive ever been to. I brought it in on an insurance claim. My insurance will only cover prior work done. They diagnosed it and recognize that it was nothing to worry about and they werent going to charge me for the diagnosis period other places I have gone in the past would have made me think I need to get this work done immediately and they said that its a cosmetic thing and not hazzadous. They walked me through a few other things that need to be taken care of eventually but were never pushy. Even apologised for my oil change being so expensive. Hey I own a VW Im used to it Hahah. All and all the best experience I have had with a car repair place and they have made a client for as long as I a in the area.
