I had a great experience with Reed Hyundai, and I would strongly recommend my sales associate, Isaiah Taylor who is very patient, honest, helpful, genuine, and professional.Isaiah had been very attentive throughout the entire time. From test driving to purchasing the vehicle, Isaiah was nice enough to go through all the details with me. The entire Reed Hyundai team was very helpful too. The financial manager made the processes clear and easy. The manager on duty was nice enough to allow me to leave with a full tank of gas as well.Although there was an incident that they accidentally charged me more than the price listed on the website, the general manager quickly acknowledged the issue and refunded me the price difference. I am very glad that I purchased my very first Mercedes from Reed Hyundai, and they will be my go-to car dealer from now on.

My wife and i were looking for a nice car in our budget and the sales staff worked hard to get us the vehicle we wanted even tho we didnt have much to put down. We were happy to have the auto delivered to us for the initial test drive, and for the prompt reply when we indicated we would like to purchase it. We thought the trade-in was very good.The only little hiccup was when the car was not delivered to us at the time originally scheduled, and we were not informed that it had changed. The work didnt get done super quickly, but their customer service is 1000%! They were so kind and very communicative. Their shuttle took me to and from work multiple times over the two days I was getting work done, which made it very convenient for me.Everyone I spoke to was super nice and very friendly. They seemed to know what theyre doing and my car is doing great since I visited.
No nonsense car buying experience, which is what I was needing. This pandemic made finding a new car for my daughter next to impossible. I dont know if we just got lucky or not, but Reed had the exact car we were trying to find in the exact color we wanted. All I did was send 1 email to the same salesperson who helped me 3 years ago at Reeds Dodge subsidiary, and my daughter was driving her perfect car within hours.
Sergio was a great sales man. As I was taking the test drive he was explaining about features of the car and letting me know about the great things that Reed Hyundai was offering as far as matching warranties and the free oil changes that they do.

I recently had my Azera in the shop to work on the panoramic roof. I was working with Jordan who did a great job of keeping me in the loop on the status of the vehicle. The process took a little longer than anticipated, but Jordan was able to help me get a rental during the down period.While the car was in the shop, the mechanic misdiagnosed the issue with the panoramic roof and ordered the incorrect part for the vehicle, which caused a further delay in the process. Jordan made me aware and the parts department reached out and stated that they would have to purchase an entirely new assembly to have the panoramic roof function again. I decide to leave the roof as is, with the understanding that the car is not worth the amount of the full repair and that it would no longer be able to function.Once I returned to pick up the car, I was told that I was responsible for the part that Reed misdiagnosed and ordered. I was told that once the part has been attempted on the vehicle, I was responsible for the cost. I find this extremely odd, as the mechanic/parts department are the experts and I put faith in them to know if it would work or not. I agree with all of the rental/labor fees, but I was extremely upset to find out about the additional $300+ charge for a part that I have no use for moving forward. I picked up my car at 5:00pm and was leaving the country the following day, so I did not have time to wait for a manager to discuss further.Again, I appreciate all of the help that Jordan gave, but I would like to resolve the issue around the additional cost for the part.

I recently purchased a 2022 Hyundai from Kyle at Reed Hyundai, and I could not be happier with my new vehicle and the process as a whole. I tried working with other Hyundai dealerships in the KC area, but a couple in particular were quite misleading by claiming to have the models I was looking at in stock and ready to be viewed that day, however, they immediately tried showing me something different when I arrived. Reed was on a different level in comparison. Everyone I worked with (primarily Kyle, Matthew, Morgan, and Omid) was incredibly helpful and made the entire purchase quick and easy from start to finish. Walked and the person at the front desk was on the phone. Couple of employees at the desk to the right saw us but didn’t greet us or acknowledge that we were standing there. Waited for front desk person to get off the phone to speak with them. She got off the phone and talked to another employee. After their conversation the phone rang again which she answered and still didn’t say a word or make eye contact. Had to approach a employee that was just standing there to get service or any sort of recognition. They didn’t have the car we were looking for. They didn’t ask for our info to contact once they got one or anything of the sort. They told us they were waiting on a shipment. Not a good experience at all. 2 stars because the bathrooms were clean once we confronted an employee for the location.
Was a fine place to buy a car, however they really wanted this review and was a tad annoying about it. Only reason for a 4 star.Offered a 60 year/0 APR for the car I wanted which was nice. Came up a bit to my trade in. Overall process was decently quick. No complaints about the process itself other than the typical dealer stuff of trying to sell you on extras.
Okay, I actually bought my Jeep from Reed Hyundai in April 2020. Never did a review. It was beginning of pandemic but they handled it all well and it was a quick process. At that time, they still gave a box of snacks (goodies) when you bought from them as a thank you (not sure if they still do this). It was a nice experience.
The whole experience I had with Reed Hyundai of Kansas City has been fantastic. I am currently located on the East Coast and Matthew is going above and beyond when it comes to catering to someone 1000 miles away. He gave me his cell phone number and is personally seeing through the whole car shipping process and he has been a tremendous help. Also Hailey was great at providing me with pictures, videos, and any information I needed with the car. Thanks Matthew and Hailey!
Excellent experience at Reed. I randomly stopped by to test drive a Tucson Hybrid and was sold. Corey was not pushy in the least - he acted more as an advisor when I had questions/concerns and offered up pieces of information. I didnt get any pressure at all to purchase right then or schedule a return visit or anything like that - much different than any other dealership which gave me the impression Reed was much more confident in their product selling itself.That was a tremendous breath of fresh air when making a significant investment. The way the team at Reed handled the entire experience is EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE.Almost, anyway - we still had to fill out paper paperwork instead of online/electronic because the system wasnt quite ready yet but thats a small price to pay.
Traded my vehicle there. The sales person was very nice, however I was misinformed about many things. I was told my car was worth 19-20K(they said they did a 500 mile search) and was given 20K for it. Next day I see it posted for sale for 26876$( I confirmed the VIN). Not only was my car undervalued but I was also lead to believe that the warranty and insurance gap cost a lot less than they actually did. (whether that was a mistake or not I am not sure but the explanation did not make sense). I was not trying to negotiate and trusted them in the process but obviously that was a mistake. I do not recommend doing business with them. It definitely ruined my excitement about my new car.
The agents did put in a lot of effort to make this deal happen. A few things rubbed me the wrong way like mailing me the title short $20 in postage I had to pay or asking they fill the gas tank of my new vehicle which they agreed to and never did, drove off with a little less than half a tank. Overall even with inventory low, I am satisfied with my purchase.

This review is only for the service department not the sales. My check engine light came and I dropped my vehicle off mid July. My vehicle was covered under warranty and finally was repaired on 9/29/21. I had to wait 6 weeks before they even looked at my vehicle to diagnose it. I had to call them every day after that to get the status of my vehicle. They made no effort on trying to contact me.

Ive been to places that fix on car before but Reed automotive group is the ONLY ONE that really gets the job done fast and correctly 👏🏾. They rejected to apply coupon to service my new sonata saying that I need to have more miles though my car popped for oil change warning.Instead I went to McCarthy they were able to understand, applied my coupon and got me on track. That said, their service department doesnt deserve this 1 star.Ive had two terrible experiences with this place and will not be back for a third.The first one was a problem with my brakes. I was provided a loaner car, and told to expect my car to be ready by the end of the day. After not getting a call all day, I called them, was told it wouldnt be ready till tomorrow.It also doesnt help that for some reason, every time my car is serviced all notifications are sent to my dad, who also owns a Hyundai. Weve tried calling them to get this straightened out but that never seems to work. It also doesnt seem to work when I give them my number and ask them to call that one and they still dont.And it took them all of the next day to fix my problem.Most recent experience was today.I dropped my car off for an 8:30AM appointment, oil change and tire rotation and key FOB battery replacement.Again, provided my number, and still never received any notifications. I was told the car would be ready at 1 (why does it take over 4 hours for basic car service?)I called shortly after 12 wanting a status update. I was told they hadnt even started working on my car and that it would be ready by 2! 2!? Why even bother making an 8:30 AM appointment for these things if you dont even start on them until almost 5 hours later!? Why try and get an early appointment!?My dad called after 1pm as to the status, and was told my car still hadnt been started on. When he got annoyed because my car had been at the dealership for over 5 hours and you still hadnt even touched it, the technician hung up on him.Returned to the dealer after 2, and was told they had broken a stud in my tire and were trying to find a part to replace it. It would have been nice to have been informed of that BEFORE I got to the dealership, but I (nor my dad who they more likely wouldve called given their inconsistent records) hadnt been called!I didnt get my car back until 2:45 pm. OVER 6 HOURS FOR BASIC CAR SERVICE!!!All the previous times Ive had any service done on my car there, they did an inspection of my cars systems and told me about upcoming potential problems or servicing that might be needed. They didnt do that here either. They had my car for over 6 hours and couldnt do some inspection!?TL:DR - If you need your Hyundai serviced, go literally anywhere else.ETA (7/21/2021):ADDRESSING OWNERS COMMENT:Someone from the Hyundai corporate office contacted me about the service I received at your dealership per my review. The only problem is that they called MY DAD! It highlights the comedic incompetence of your dealership.I specifically mentioned in my review the inability of your dealership to get the right cell phone number to call. And (I assume) when the corporate office requested my number so they could contact me, you still provide them the wrong number! But I know you have my number because I provided it to the technician when I dropped my car off, and requested that number be contacted.To further highlight either staff or record failures here, whenever my dads wife drops her car off, I get all the service updates on her vehicle. So I know you have my number somewhere.I do not understand how my entire family can own Hyundais from your dealership, yet you still cant tie the right cell phone to the correct car!Something else I didnt realize until later, when I originally scheduled my oil change (for all the good that did) I asked for the synthetic oil that can go 7,500 miles between changes(had had gotten several times before), and instead the oil they used is terrible and needs to be changed in around 3.5K miles! After everything Ive outlined in this review, Im no longer surprised at your ineptitude. Its either gross mismanagement, or an attempt to force customer to spend more for basic service.To anyone reading this, GO TO ANY OTHER HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP! OR EVEN OTHER SERVICE CENTERS! They will either overcharge you, not do what you ask, or both.
The people are great. Their policies and transparency are HORRIBLE! $31.93 shop fee to put a spare tire in my trunk. Not disclosed until it was completed. For almost $32.00 I would have done it myself. So 5 stars for the staff and 0 stars for the dealership.

Always been a Chevy girl and been to their dealerships for all my service needs where I’ve always been satisfied. Now I have this Sonata, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and bring it to Reed Hyundai for my oil change, and let me say I had an amazing experience...The check in process was easy, the no contact text update of the service process and recommended needed items was great, even including the price breakdown so there were no unexpected expenses at the end I knew exactly what I was going to pay. I needed a new fob and the parts dept had everything in stock and service was able to program the key during the oil change. But to top off my experience was the refund I got for the veterans discount that they offer. If you have a Hyundai and need it serviced call and ask for Felix he will get you squared away and you won’t be disappointed!
Amazing continuity. Felix, who sold me my car in 2011 today was working the service desk when I brought it in for an oil change. Ive known him a long time and so I trusted him when he said I needed a new battery. When the time comes Ill buy another Hyundai there.

Customer care was and is atrocious. Wanted to charge me $1300 dollars to get the mirror fixed. kept my car for 2 days doing as Dustin the service tech called it diag on the car. Didnt call me after the initial contact with updates on the car. I had to call to find out that the car would not be ready until late the next day. The next day it set from 10 a.m until 2:23 p.m before someone moved back into the bay for service. Wanted to charge me for a loaner car. Really! Stay away from Reed Hyundai. I am sure it was not because I only had a 2011 car that I did not purchase from that particular dealership and I am sure it wasnt because my hair was very dense, black and curly. Hint, hint say no more. Bad dealership, bad dealership. Shame!

I wish I could give them zero stars. They sold me a car that the detail team knew smelled like smoke. When I bought my car it was close to zero degrees, so I wasn’t able to smell the smoke. I had the car detailed and it still smelled like smoke. I had them bomb the car and it still smells like smoke. Apparently the only way to get rid of the smell is to get new seats. Now that I am trying to get ahold of them to do something else they aren’t returning my calls. I will never buy a car from here again and won’t be recommending them to any family or friends. I shouldn’t have a car that smells like a bar in the 70s.
My childhood best friend and I went here for him to shop for his first car. Everything from the test drive to the buying of the car was fine. Lo and behold, they knowingly sold him a car that smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I dont know if they did this because they thought they could take advantage of a young, first-time buyer or what, but it is bad business regardless. He has been trying to reach them for weeks to get it right to no avail. For this reason, they honestly deserve 0 stars, but the app only allows ratings as low as 1.Whatever you do, BUY YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I knew what I wanted and had everything handled before had and my ease of closing the deal was fast and relatively simple. As with anything for your research and know what you want and any process can be made easier.
Absolutely awesome experience. Greeted by several, opened doors for me, brought me a remote so I could use TV (I didnt ask). Service advisor texted me to say let him know if I had questions while I waited. Service done in record time. Even gave me a chocolate bar on my way out. I was so blown away.

I recently went to Reed Hyundai and I feel as if I got discriminated!! I made an appointment through the phone to get my car an inspection. I mentioned that my car previously had some problems but that it was running good for the time being. I show up to my appointment & the guy who attended me didn’t even take a look at my car. He said my car was running good so there was nothing he could inspect. I stated “I know it’s working fine but I want an inspection so I know that everything in my car is working properly “ he said “ well next time it’s fails your going to have to get it towed down here so we can fix THAT issue “. I had never been denied an inspection on my car before!! My father is white and brings his car to this exact location for inspections and they’ve NEVER turned him away. So was it because I am a person of color? I definitely need an answer as of to WHY I was denied service.

Its never a good situation when you have repairs that have to be made but I had the pleasure of working with Joshua Underwood and he made the process seamless. Sent me a detailed list of all the recommended maintenance that needed to be done and allowed me time to decide what I wanted to take care now. My schedule didnt allow me to get there during normal business hours but he was still able to accommodate me and service my vehicle without me ever stepping foot into the dealership. Kudos Josh!
--- SCROLL TO BOTTOM FOR UPDATE (Its NOT good) --Im never going back to Shawnee Mission Hyundai after todays visit.I bought my Elantra in late 2014. Since then, the cabin fan blower motor has quit working three, if not four times. Im pretty sure the number is four, but I can only find three invoices. Yes, thats correct, about every year the cabin blower motor has to be replaced. The first 2-3 times it was covered under warranty at no cost to me. This time my car was out of warranty and Shawnee Mission Hyundai refused to replace it at no cost to me. I asked what was the underlying cause of this recurring issue and what assurances they could offer that I wouldnt be back in a year for the same issue. The service manager couldnt tell me what was going on with the blower fan, they didnt know.What good is a warranty if an issue is not properly resolved? As far as Im concerned, the blower motor was never properly fixed, otherwise it wouldnt continue to break down about every year. They have taken my money for an issue that should have been resolved under warranty years ago.Ive bought my last two cars from this dealership. For the last almost six years Ive gone to them for my service needs. I would have purchased my next car from them. Now, I do not trust Shawnee Mission Hyundai and I wont step foot in there again. Hopefully another dealership will treat me better.Ive attached the three invoices that I could find that document what Ive stated above. As I said, Im pretty certain this issue has occurred four times, but I cant locate a fourth invoice.----------- UPDATE -----------July 7, 2018Guess whats happening? Yes, the blower motor on my cabin fan is starting to go out AGAIN, not even 7 months after Shawnee Mission Hyundai supposedly fixed it back in February. Folks, this is the quality of work you can expect from Shawnee Mission Hyundai.Does Shawnee Mission Hyundai expect to take hundreds of dollars from me every 7 months now? I need the cabin fan to work, its dangerous to drive without it. Ive already entrusted Shawnee Mission Hyundai to replace my cabin fan 3 if not 4 times. You know that sinking feeling you get when someone else holds all the power over you?To the service manager at Shawnee Mission Hyundai: will you make this right? Will you stand behind the quality of your work and fix this at no charge to me? Ive given your service deparemtn 3 if not 4 opportunities to fix this issue with my Elantra. My wife and I both bought our cars here and one of the reasons is the exceptional service. Whether it is something minor or major (and thankfully we have only had one major repair in over 10 years), the service department has taken tremendous care of us. From the setting up of the initial appointment, loaner vehicle, quickly getting us an estimate and then keeping us up on the status of the repair! Most people just expect great service and never take the time to thank you for delivering. We want to say, Thank you very much!
I have never had a worse experience at a dealership. They had my car for two entire months and when I asked for a loaner car they were unable to give me one. My check engine light was on and they found something that they said would fix it. After paying $900, on the way home from the dealership my light went back on. I was told I could bring it back on Monday and when I arrived, they told me they didnt know what I was talking about and the person who was working on my car no longer works there. They let me drop it off (without charging me for diagnosing a second time) and tried to figure out again what was wrong with it. They misdiagnosed my car not once, but TWO times. They kept telling me it would be ready on a certain day and then I would call and theyd give me some vague reason of why its not ready. There are a lot more details to this, but in the end they told me it would be ready in 5 days, and 3 full weeks later it was not ready. When I spoke to the manager he told me they didnt know what was wrong with it. I decided to pick it up because I could rationalize giving them another penny. After picking it up, Im having trouble with starting it and filling up gas. Neither of these issues were present when I dropped it off. I would STRONGLY encourage ANYONE considering this dealership to absolutely look somewhere else.
Made an appointment for 4. They called me and asked to move it to 2 to give them more time to fix my issue and I agreed. Show up at 2, drop the car off and wait. After 2 hours I check on my car and they told me a work order never got made and it had just been sitting there so I would have to schedule another appointment. Not going back
I received a follow-up email from a prior service visit (oil change) on 11/25/2020 that included a quote for 4 new tires and an alignment (see attachment) that quoted a price for each service. Three days later, on 11/28/2020 I responded to the the email about scheduling a time to have the service provided, referencing the quote in the email. Visit was scheduled for 12/14/2020.After dropping off my car, about 15 minutes after, I received a call from the service rep stating that they could no longer provide the quoted price, and provided me with an new higher price. I told them to go ahead with the tires, as they were needed (my mistake, should have turned around and taken the car back without the new tires). When picking up my car after the completed appointment (which I was told would be 2-3 hours, but actually took more than 7 hours), I was told they could not honor the quote I had been provided as it was a tire manufacturers offer that had expired. They offered me a $50 discount, instead of the nearly $200 savings I should have seen.No place on the original email from Reed did it say anything about it being a manufacturers offer, or that there was a time limit on the offer. I think its pretty poor business to offer a deal, then cancel that offer once they have your vehicle, then increase the cost by 25%...all because they failed to inform a customer of any limitations to the initial offer.
Great customer service and ever-improving wait times. I was told that was were they were striving to improve and it has definitely improved.
I am very satisfied by the service I received on this visit. Adam was my service advisor and he was efficient and helpful. I am very happy with his attention to detail and was very accommodating.From previous visit experience, I have to admit, I was becoming skeptical (again) that the service department was not living up to the standards I have grown accustom to, not only as a customer but also from the many years I served as a service advisor in my previous profession. It seemed that every time I had an advisor I liked and therefore regained my trust in the dealership, that advisor was not there the next time I came in for service. In fact, usually there wasnt anyone I recognized. If a company can not retain their people, it makes you believe there is a bigger problem behind the name on the sign.All that being said, Adam has regained my trust in the dealership that good people are hopefully there to stay.We love our Hyundai Azera. Its a great car. It doesnt need much attention. We have only brought it to this dealership. We bought it here (under the previous owner) and we continue to service it here. Keep good people and I will continue to service it here. Tell Adam thanks for doing a great job. I especially appreciate it as a retired advisor.

These two beautiful women who not only are professional but they actually care. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and jumped through every hoop known to man, to make sure that not only did they put me into a car but a car that I actually wanted. They didn’t rush me, they didn’t make me sit around all day. They got right into the solution and they offered me options but never once did they push me on anything.And here’s the kicker they never lied to me or Mislead me. Do you know how weird that is to find it’s like coming out of a long string of toxic relationships where people are dishonest and then all of a sudden you find a good person and you have a healthy relationship you almost have to pinch yourself.If you are looking for a car and you want to be treated like a person with Nordstrom style customer service. Just moved to KC and I bought my 2018 Elantra from a used dealership in NJ. This is the first I have used a Hyundai dealership to have a servicing done on my car. The price was congruent with any lube/oil/filter I’ve had done before, and they cleaned out my gas vent for me too. The waiting room is comfy and there’s snacks available and free coffee. I feel way more confident having work done at a dealership because the people working on my car know Hyundai best and they’re using parts that work the best with my car. I don’t need to worry about a poor job being done, or my warranty being voided for careless actions. I will be back!
My service person was very professional.He got my car in and out quickly. The African American man who moves the cars and gets the key tag when you are done was super friendly.I would like to see all customer service representatives ear face masks!I will definitely come back!

I had some recall work that needed to be completed. The gal that scheduled my appointment was really detailed and actually looked up to see if there were any other recalls that I hadnt been notified about yet. She verified that the shop had all the parts and then scheduled my appointment. I couldnt have been more pleased with her or the service department. Everyone did great!
I spoke with a guy named Chris. He really went above and beyond to get me the help I needed to figure out what services needed to be done with my vehicle. He displayed vast amounts of knowledge about products and services and was able to answer any and every question I had for him
Very horrible customer and vehicle service. I took my 2016 Hyundai Elantra to their service for a heated seat repair. They informed me if was a fuse. After having it replaced little over a year the seats are still messing up. After speaking with the service advisor he told me it would a 140 to look at it AGAIN. Obviously the mechanics arent doing their job properly and costing customers more money. The seat should be been fixed PROPERLY the first time I brought my car in. I shouldnt have to argue with a service advisor on how that is not right or fair to a customer. I highly recommend not taking your car there for service unless you want to keep giving them money for not doing their job! As well as them not caring for customer service! Looks like well be finding a new Hyundai dealer for repairs! Mind you this is the only Hyundai dealer weve went to since buying our car brand new FROM THERE!
Recently had some warranty work done on my 2018 Genesis. Work was done in excellent manner and in timely manner. Josh was great to work with in service department. A car wash would have been a nice touch.
My wife and I arrived early in the morning at the dealership before its opening, but were admitted nonetheless by Gilbert who was very professional. Our service representative was Nick who took care of us promptly. Throughout the work on our Sonata, he kept us well informed of both the work and possible costs. He was very helpful and professional in all respects. Stanley Adams was also very helpful.This is my first experience with service at this dealership and with its personnel. I bought my Sonata at the previous dealership (Shawnee Mission Hyundai). I am pleased that the take over by Reed provides high quality services, staff, and excellent support for Hyundai owners. I will seek service here in the future, and I am likely to buy my next car from this dealership.
That was the greatest car buying experience the sales staff was Great it was as though you were buying a car from a friend The dealership let you make the deal with the sales person being there to assist you in any way he or she could all your decisions were your own Without sales talk and Opinions from a car salesman that doesn’t know you your needs likes or wants It was great The financial part was fun and fast I have already told some friends and family of the great car buying experience and I would definitely Recommend Reed Hyundai to anyone looking to buy a great car for a great price from a great dealership and my sales person Tony (You da man )
Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation and asked that the tires be inflated to the correct pressure as they were low. Returned home to find the tires no different than when I left it at the dealer. A simple request did not get completed and a call to the service manager yielded only excuses. Not worth my time to drive back in for air but customer service was very lacking in this visit.
Best service experience I have had with Hyundai. I went in for a recall fix only. The recall issue was fixed (along with another recall issue I was not aware of). The service was done within the timeframe estimated. Absolutely no pushy selling of services that I did not ask for which is the first time that has happened. If my experience could be like this one every time I would actually look forward to getting service done on my car.

First experience buying from a dealership and I was not disappointed. Affordable warranty options that did not inflate my monthly rate and customer service at its best. Brandon and Brianna made it feel like I was hanging out with friends not buying a car. Would recommend buying from these folks.
Their staff are non-commissioned and so nice to work with! No typical car salesman tactics. Also, have great prices out of the gate!
