Dont go to the Union Ave store. So rude there and crazy drama when I went to pickup my truck. Truck was fine. Staff were not. Go elsewhere.

Great experience. I was treated kindly, with respect and professionalism - no hassles! I checked in online beforehand (after setting up my reservation through the phone) and when I got to U-haul it was a quick pick up, and the same dropping off.

They were very professional and helpful with my sign in. I had my equipment in less than ten minutes and was on my way. I would definitely use this location again. Recommend!

The process to make a return of boxes is taking wayyyyyyy too long. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, I was told to stand to the side while others were served before simply returning only 17 boxes could be completed. Im actually still waiting right now 15+ minutes, and this is totally not ok. The gentleman who helped me bring my boxes in from my car was wonderful/perfect, but the inside the store treatment and servicing is completely unacceptable.

When we went to pick up the auto trailer we reserved, the woman was taking a personal call, and when we asked about the trailer, she said that they did not have one. We had reserved this trailer prior, but apparently the location never had it and did not inform us of this until we arrived. She refused to call other locations to see if any other locations had one, and then she proceeded to take another personal call and ignore us. We had to leave and wait on hold for hours in order to try and find a trailer. It was a nightmare. If you want to rent a trailer, do not come here.

I have used Uhaul all over Memphis and there is not a better crew in the whole Memphis area than Crystal and David. Crystal is so friendly and kind and made this experience simple and very enjoyable. Her smile is the kind everyone needs in their life. I cant say enough wonderful things about David. He is hard working, caring, and just an all around pleasure to be around and have on the job. These 2 employees specifically deserve recognition and praise from the company as they are the frontmen to the best Uhaul in the greater menphis area. 10 STARS! Thank you kindly!

Absolutely appalled by the complete lack of customer service and competence from this location (6/18), the Mendonhall location (6/17), and customer service line. I reserved a truck and tow dolly to tow a car from Memphis to Boston. We were given a broken tow dolly (axel snapped) which was towed from my home in Memphis same evening (6/18)--after being on the phone with roadside assistance for hours. I was told to go to the Union location the following morning (6/18) to pick up a functional dolly. Upon arrival to this location, the employees had no record of this and their system was down. I had to wait an additional hour and a half for them to find a dolly--only to find out that this dollys lights did not work and it was therefore NOT useable. In the end, after having my move delayed 24 hrs due to being offered 2 broken/unsafe tow dollys, we had to drive the car (adding to gas costs, tolls costs, etc). On the back end of the trip, the back door to the truck was broken (not a surprise as there were ~110,000 miles on this POS truck to start. Instead of simply refunding the cost of the tow dolly as I was originally told (on 6/20)--SINCE WE DIDNT HAVE ONE & it delayed our time sensitive move by 24 hrs--I just got a call today (6/25) saying they werent going to submit a refund. Further, they documented it as us receiving the tow dolly when it never left their lot. This has been an absolute nightmare.I have spent over 7 hrs over the course of the move with their customer service/roadside assistance and am absolutely appalled. Never again.Update: waiting for management to give a call--since their customer service is about as useless as their broken equipment.

I reserved a trailer to tow a vehicle yesterday afternoon. My dad & brother are up in Tennessee to tow a 05 Mustang back after my grandpa passed away. I scheduled for them to be there at 7 am this morning to get everything taken care of because they have a 14 hour drive back to Texas. When they arrived there this morning they had 4 of those trailers left. But the 2 females working were either to lazy are just incompetent. They told him that his truck isnt capable of towing the vehicle. Hes in 2019 dodge ram thats capable of towing nearly 8000 lbs. We had to call around to find another trailer at a different uhaul location, which cleared his truck to haul the vehicle. Even on the website when setting the reservation up it says the tuck is capable. We are absolutely disgusted with the customer service received by the 2 females working this morning.Edit: My mom called to speak to them this morning and spoke on the phone with the General manager named Crystal who is 1 of the 2 females mentioned from above. My mom asked for the name of the other one to make a complaint and was told You dont need her name im the manager..My dad was able to get a trailer at a different location and got amazing service from Matt and MacKenzie.

Great staff, very helpful. Everything was clean and on time. They answered all my questions and adjusted my reservation with no issues. Very smooth process and knowledgable.

No improvements identified at this time. Friendly and efficient staff. My many questions were answered with patience. Easy pickup and return process during business hours. Even before the vehicle rental, I was in this location for supplies. Store was well stocked and staff assisted throughout the process. Looking forward to returning specific location in the future!

We set up our rental on line. 3rd time at this location. 2 of the 3 times they were unable to either have the vehicle here or utalize our payment. Today for reasons she (crystal smith-owner) chose not to divulge said im not gonna rent to you guys

Greg was an exceptional employee! I called Greg before we rented the truck, and he helped my mom and I, who were eagerly moving, by answering all our questions, knowledgeably and honestly. Greg was a great help during this moving process, and I couldnt have asked for a better U-Haul representative. 5 stars without a doubt, would definitely recommend U-Haul to all my friends and family if all reps treated customers like Greg does! 12/10

This was not my chosen pickup location, but U-Haul called the pick up morning and said they did not have any 26-foot trucks where I was scheduled to pick up. They did credit me $50. The truck paperwork showed 3/8 of a tank of gas, but it actually only had 1/16th. Also, I had reserved a dolly, but the location said they did not have any. They said I could get one at another location. When I attempted to pick up a dolly at the Southaven store they did not want to rent to me unless I returned it directly to them, rather than return it with the truck. I called the corporate number, and they forced the Southaven store to allow me to return it to Memphis. Everything worked out ok, but it was more hassle than it should have been.

Absolutely filthy truck. I have over 45 pictures of how nasty it was. The truck had two service lights on and I had to wait hours for roadside assistance. I have contacted the local health department to investigate this due to the truck obviously not being sanitized during a PANDEMIC! I WILL NEVER USE UHUAL AGAIN.

Superior customer service! The employees were so friendly. The process was very efficient. The van was clean. (You tell it was cleaned intentionally and not just given a minimal make it look good kind of cleaning.) Will definitely use this service again!

That $150 deposit its crazy. But every rep there was amazingly patient, understand and helpful. Best location Ive been to. 5 stars besides that down payment its a great location.

Arrived for 7:30 mobile pickup. The truck was double parked and the key was not left in the lockbox. Was then given the runaround on the support line, including being hung up on and told it was the wrong phone number (even though dialed directly from the app). Lost an hour and a half waiting for someone who works there to arrive. Truck was fine after that, but really wasted quite a bit of time

The rental truck was absolutely dirty and filthy. Not cleaned at all, covered in sticky stuff, dirt and grime. Especially during Covid you can tell they don’t clean up to the standards of just basic cleaning let alone disinfecting anything. My car was installed incorrectly by a uhaul member causing significant damage done to my car. For the price I paid I’m extremely upset and unsatisfied with my entire experience with uhaul. The owner of this location was rude and didn’t have time for us because his friend was there. Not only did we receive a filthy truck and our car was damaged, we received terrible customer service.

Original trailer had a short and kept blowing my fuse. Left to deal with it in the rain on my own. Not that I couldnt do it, its the fact thats their job.

Had them wire my car for trailer lights. Did it fast and reasonable after Surwic refused to do the job. Had an issue with a short probably cssused by my trailer and they completely reworked it for no charge! Great management!

Their website stated that they had Uhaul trucks available and so we had someone drop us off only to find out that they had NO trucks available and we had to go 6 miles from here to get one ONLY after we reserved it.
