This is the best Indian grocery store in all of Madison. Period. I used to stay in East Madison and now I moved to the West side of town. I have been to at least 4-5 other Indian stores in Greater Madison, but this is the best.a) The owners are very polite and welcome us just like they welcomed us when we first shopped there.b) The prices (especially for frozen foods) are lesser than other stores in Madison. In fact, they are comparable to Chicago (I used to live there).c) The store is well-organized. It also a great collection of groceries from different parts of India - in particular they have a good balance between North and South Indian stuff.Also beware of some fake reviews - they are often written by rival grocery stores. I am telling this as the first time we came here, we were skeptic as the most recent review at that time was very negative.

When you think of India, the food habits change every 100km. Most of the indian stores around Madison carry specific brands. Only Bombay Bazaar gets you many brands which you dont find anywhere else. Also a good place to find all your cooking utensils and indian beauty products.

Thanks to Bombay Bazaar, for donating groceries to my charity mental wellness organization, Vayu Vaidya, while the donation was well appreciated, the quality of teh groceries, especially complain, leaves a lot desired, I hope there are better QA standards on imports from pakisthan and India. Also a more charitable mindset from this enterprise would be appreciated.

Good selection and decent prices. The owner is courteous and was kind enough to acknowledge bad produce. I recommend this place for Indian groceries in Madison for their prices (which are prominently displayed), wide selection and friendliness.

Best shop thats stocked with everything youll need for the Indian kitchen and more. Prices arent too high either. They also offer home delivery so all in all a great shipping experience.

Absolutely the worst service Ive received at an Indian store. I was talking with my wife on the phone to ask her what else she wanted and the store owner came up, interrupted me, and basically told me to buy something quickly and get out. For better (not expired) selection and definitely better service, go to India House which is only a few hundred feet away.

Cheap biscuits for tea. I cant pass on that.

Inflated prices and expired products. Spent 350$ in a single transaction without knowing that. Dint feel bad for paying more, but felt very bad that I was cheated. Bye bye for life. You lost a valuable customer.

I was in Madison looking to purchase some Henna. The proprietor was so welcoming to us. He even allowed us to taste some authentic Indian food which bu the way was very good. It had just the right amount of heat to it. Great place to shop!

This is my favorite Indian grocery store in and around Madison. Good selection of fresh produce, and all the Indian staples you can think of at a good price. The owners are always friendly and helpful. Make sure to try their ready-made Samosas. Also excellent for bulk spices such as cumin, coriander, or legumes.

Good grocery store for Indians living in Madison. We can get all items that you will get India, namely, groceries, vegetables and fruits. Fresh vegetables arrive on Tuesdays.

A good place to shop for Indian groceries in west side of Madison. Owner is a great guy, he accommodates demands with a smile. If an item is unavailable on that day, ask for it, they are most likely to bring it the next time... Shop provides typical groceries, indian veggies, frozen items, spices etc... You cant and shouldnt compare price tags to a wholesale in Chicago, its a bit higher here for obvious reasons.

Really enjoy shopping here, every time I walk in the smells remind me of my childhood home. Its nice to have authentic and hard to find ingredients, definitely putting my moms recipes to good use!

I wanted to try Indian ethnic snacks. picked up 2 and both were expired! 1 had a different expiration date from the initial expiration date after peeling off the label on there. expired 1 year ago (yuck). we didnt realize the other snack had a cobweb underneath the flap and bug inside the cobweb. super gross and unethical.

Good selection of indian grocery and produce. However, often you will find vegetables on shelf thats visibly stale and borderline spoiled. Many items are (over)priced arbitrarily.

The worst grocery store! They keep expired stuff. On multiple occasions I have pointed to them that there food is expired. Instead of removing it, they will offer it for lower price. Dare not touch any so called fresh snack. They are anything but fresh. These snacks are kept in the open on the counter where other people are coughing and touching them with their dirty hands. Even if they are in cooler, who knows how long they have been sitting. I would not suggest anyone go to this Indian grocery store.

Wonderful store! Its much bigger than I anticipated, and the variety of stock was impressive. The gentleman working (the owner?) was so helpful when I couldnt find the dried methi.My *only* gripe is the location....being directly off Gammon, with a small-ish parking lot, makes it a bit of a challenge to get in/out of. Dont care, its totally with it!

This is a very untrustworthy place to buy items to eat. I went there to buy some frozen stuff like rotis parathas etc. Turns out they were pretty soft and not frozen. When confronted with the store person, she said that they keep most Frozen items in a FRIDGE and not freezer. On explaining them the fact that they should be frozen they just shrugged it off saying that they know that but choose not to put it in freezer. Im assuming for cost saving purposes. This is ridiculous. You cannot trust the food you buy from here.

Very dishonest owner. Most of the frozen goods are out of date and keep long time storage makes the quality deteriorate but they sell the product at very high price with no monitoring. They asking wahtever price they want. My suggestion would be not to purchase anything from them.

Bombay bazaar is great place to shop .After shopping from the above mentioned place i felt i am in indian bazzar. You get every indian product there and the owners Ramesh ji and Pema ji both are too good.
