I shop here because it’s close to home; but what I don’t appreciate is every time the Indian woman employee is manning “self check out” she comes stand near me as I PURCHASE my groceries. She’s done it to me more than once. I feel as if she’s profiling me because I’m Black.
Thank you cashier, Madelyn, for very being so friendly and clean and attentive to our order. Also the young man bagging our groceries. Very friendly. Made up for the rude young man in deli.
Great store, very good produce on average, decent meat options, and I actually buy the flowers quite often. They seem to last days longer than other local florists. Better prices since the Kroger purchase. I do not typically order any deli, so I cant comment on that. We make regular stops here, even if we buy the bulk of our groceries elsewhere.
Some updating is being done on the store so you might wander around a little bit trying to relocate what youre looking for, but theres plenty of happy helpers in there to assist you find everything you need! Also the manager explained the digital coupons and offered to help me set it up on my phone. Very pleasant people working in the store
I came in on Thursday, the produce section was completely barren, less than 40% of the shelves were stocked, and what was out was almost rotten. Very disappointed they cant keep fresh produce at a grocery store. Save yourself the frustration and shop somewhere else.
I placed a curbside pickup order online. When I arrived for pickup, my order was brought out to my trunk very quickly and completely contact-free. The produce was fresh and eggs were intact.Although a few items of the sale items on my order were out of stock, I received an email on the morning of pickup and was able to easily select substitutions on the website, at the sale price.I love that I was able to apply online coupons to my order. My experience was absolutely great! I am so thankful for the store staff that make curbside pickup possible!
I have always love this market, my kids call it the “car cart store” because they love riding in their kids themed buggies. They have the best fresh meat and deli around, and they are the only ones I’ll ever buy cake from. The staff that decorates and makes their cakes is top notch
What all you should expect of a smaller grocery store: helpful staff, fresh food.
Very close to my house which makes it very convenient! Great produce!! Friendly checkout people!!
This is one of my favorite Pick n Save stores. Check out the bountifully stocked discount shelves up front by self-checkout; always something good there. Customer service made fixing a mistake I made shopping seem like nothing; cheerfulful and competent.
Great grocery store thats always clean and has a friendly staff. Signup for their free Fresh Perks program and youll get great deals/savings! Love their bakery and selection of fruits/vegetables, and flowers/plants for special occasions. Highly recommend this place!
Love ordering on line and pickling up curbside.
Just ate the best jelly donut of my life thanks to Pick N Save Bakery. Amazing!
This store is such a huge disappointment! Staff are rude & only 1 checkout at all times. I will travel further & take my money elsewhere
Great prices, super friendly staff!
Very clean and neighborhood convenience. The size of the store is perfect because its not a long trip for milk like it is on other huge stores which have the refrigerators all the way to the back. Love their bakery muffins. Like their fried chicken.
Not bad, smaller selection though than nearby grocery stores. Best prices for name brand
Your typical suburban grocery store. Pretty good stuff and fresh meats.
Great produçe, you can find good prices.
Customer service manager Sunny has absolutely no concept of customer service.
Store is always clean staff is always friendly, also has some good deals.
Fresh Produce!Friendly Faces!Clean! Everything we need!
We have been super pleased with Pick N Saves curbside pickup! Selection is easy, adding digital coupons is great, there are lots of pick up time options, you can even add on to your order if you forgot something! Once we learned to take a screenshot with missed items, weve had no problems. Im much happier to pop in for 5 min and grab what will make my recipes work if my choice was missing. I like that you can accept or decline suggested substitutions. This has taken away a lot of stress and hassle! The staff that answers the phone and loads the car is also always very nice! Theyre quick, but friendly. Makes my extreme distaste towards grocery shopping feel like a happy, distanced encounter instead! Thank you!!
Very nice people working at all locations as far as I have seen.
Pick up is wonderful! Thank you for doing a great job everytime!
Theres only ever one checkout lane regardless of how busy they are and the service is very slow.
Ive been happier at Pick N Save, since theyve been making upgrades. However, how is it possible that Maple Grove Drive and Park Streets Pick N Saves Google listings report being open on Christmas Day until 11pm?I was mislead on Christmas Eve, thinking that they were the only store around that was open at 8:00pm. Nope, the listings hours were not updated that day, either. This has been a problem multiple other times in the past: accurate web updates.Store managers responsible for Google updates:Hundreds of daily customers rely on your accurate information being reported. Last night, I saw about a dozen people go to check your front door. After seeing the automatic door unmoving, they then noticing the small printed hours sign, stating that you were closed. People went out of their way to your store, and were turned away. I am included in those people.Im adding back two stars, because of two reasons:1. Your store is otherwise clean and clerks are friendly.2. Clerks are generally well-trained and thorough. For example:Employees working self-checkout usually have plastic bags pre-opened ahead of customers at self check-out. Your neighboring competitor should take note. For those of us without fingernails or not wanting to lick their fingers, in a pandemic, it takes a while to open stuck bags. For multiple bags this process may add only a little time, per customer, but it all adds extra time into peoples days. Please improve your internet reporting accuracy.Thanks,Jeffp.s. please display a wider selection of individual sale Quest Protein 19-20g bars, especially the red and purple bars, and put them on sale more often. Many of us local gym rats stock up while also mixing and matching.
Usually not as crowded. Helpful and friendly staffNever found a grouch
I love Pick N Save for Instacart, all Pick N Save stores around my area have the nicest staff to help you out. Some even drop what their doing to go in the back and look for the item for you and your IC customer. Thanx Pick N Save.
Decent for booze and that’s about it. Mediocre in all actual food and not really competitively priced. Seriously, if you need to stay very local drive half a mile and go to the target, Aldi, or hyvee. Any of them is better. Or go to woodman’s if you don’t mind the drive.
I was in the store yesterday. I usually pick up outside, but wanted to get in and out quickly with some bakery goods not available on line. I went in with my mask on and went to the first available checkout which was next to the pick up prep area. I realized too late that the cashier and bagger had their masks on below their noses. I’m a senior citizen and am very fearful of getting this virus. I don’t care if they wear them that way when know one is checking, but at least direct them to pull them over their noses when a customer wearing a mask is approaching.
I like Pick N Save because they have the most consistent produce post lockdown. There are many PNS stores around and all are very well stocked now.
Great no line! Not busy at all
Grocery bill is half of Hy-Vee! The store card saves alot ! Kroger brands are good too. Example: strawberries at Hy-Vee were 5.00 a small carton but they were 3/ 5.00 at picknsave. Stock up on your purchases and save . Buy 2, 3, 5 or 10 of what they sell and save alot of money when they take another 1.00 off of each item. You can often purchase 5 for the price of three. You can stock your pantry and freezer at a big discount.
Best grocery store in the area. Cant beat the prices, never a line, good quality, have just about everything you could want. Ive been shopping here for 20 years. No complaints.
Yesterday, I picked up my birthday cake from Copps. It was really sad looking. The flowers werent pretty roses. They looked like something a 2nd grader would do. I thought it might at least taste good. I was looking forward to it all day. The cake was very dry, like it was baked 3 weeks ago. It ruined my birthday and was a waste of $20. Their bakery is hit and miss, but Im done messing with them.
Not a good selection of no sugar added ice cream. And when I mentioned it to the check out clerk, she was not interested. Nor was her grocery bagger. Also, some box wines were $10.00 more expensive than other stores.
I thought today they could have done a better job a clearing snow in front of the store and near the cart racks also once again was overcharged for something that was on sale the tag on the Shelf should match the product at the cash register
Lowkey...one of my favorite grocery stores on the southwest side of Madison.
Kind of amazing how frequently I buy something because it says it’s on sale, and then when I get to the register it’s not on sale (yes I have the keychain tag and access to the digital coupons). I guess they think most people won’t make a fuss about a dollar or two? This store is the closest to me but more and more I’m going to farther ones.
Medium format, Good selection
Well... When I Went: It Was Somewhat Slimmer Pickings = In Fresh Produce & Meats Than Usual ~ Which Is To Be Expected As of Late, Honestly...+{Plus}-> Some New Pre-Packaged Deli Items For Customer Convienence ~ Surely All Due To The -{*****}- Lockdown!
Nice store overall. Its clean. The staff was kind. Was able to find items I needed (and then some) with ease.
Perhaps the easiest grocery shopping experience in Madison. Clean, organized, and often has items that the neighboring stores run out of from time-to-time. The wealth of self-checkout lines is a plus.My only warning is make sure you have a Fresh Perks card, or at least a phone number attached to an account. Lots of item discounts depend on it.
This is my go-to supermarket. Though since Kroeger took over, their produce freshness and taste had gone way downhill. Also their choice of groceries is limited compared to nearby competitors. Good luck finding non-instant yeast, for example. Their ethnic food section is also laughable.
The produce is nice and fresh and it lasts long.
Employees seemed confused about where things were
Good place to shop
Excellent store. Clean. Great service
It has improved a lot over the past three years. It is an anchor for our neighborhood. They just about anything you need. Bakery and flowers or plants too. You can order from the deli too!
You owe it to yourself to check their prices against hy vee. Its just a joke how much more hy vee is. And the shopping experience is better. Nice job kroger
Decent Neighborhood Grocery Store. Only shop there for weekly deals, or if I need something because theyre close. Otherwise a little pricey.
They have Johnsonville Sausage Strips!
Wide variety of groceries and great customer service
Great store, always has some amazing deals. Clean and a big selection of food. Love this place.
The only reason I go here is because usually their produce is far better than other grocery stores. Lately I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of their produce, and yesterday I went in to grab groceries and was absolutely disgusted. Half of their produce (especially fruit) was rotting and there were flies EVERYWHERE.
Nice
Bright and organized. Good traffic flow. Like the side entrance for in and out shopping when I only need a few items. Bakery and meat depot are excellent.
Super friendly/helpful staff, great prices, and huge selection. Wouldnt shop for groceries anywhere else.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Love the bakery and self serve salad bar. Occasionally I will get the fried or rositterie chicken . The hot case could be kept up more consistently, rotation of product.
Friendly staff, and a decent selection for a small grocery store.
Love this place. They always carry the tea i love
The store was clean. Produce looked camera ready. The deli area was well stocked for being later in the evening. Good selection of fresh meats and cheeses. The only downside is, it is a little more expensive than some other locally owned geocery stores, but closer to my home than those stores are as well.
Good spot, miss the fresh items you could buy by the pound like nuts, candy, and dried fruit.
Loved this place. Very clean. People that work there are always helpful.
Wonderful service nice and friendly workers
Its my grocery store to go! Today I lost my phone and the staff in the store was amazing! They were super helpful finding it! Thanks so.much!
This Pickn Save (6655 McKee Road, Madison, WI) is a nice grocery store. The store is very clean and organized. The shelves are always stocked and item are always available. They also have a liquor area and a floral shop, both with an excellent selection and variety. Excellent location just off hughway PD/McKee Road. Easy to get to. Prices are very reasonable. The bathrooms are very clean and maintained. Above all, the employees are exceptional. They are helpful, friendly, and courteous. It is never too busy and the checkouts are always well staffed. Have 9 self check out stations which is great and they are easy to use. I highly recommend this store.
Clean, with courteous service and plenty of everything. Strong deli bakery and meat departments. Good selection of beer wine and liquor too. Approved :-)
Great store, well ran, customer orientated, very good close out deals. My favorite local grocery store.
Never shop here on a Sunday morning. The meat department has a huge problem getting out the fresh meat with correct sale signs.Poor selection on local products. It is sort of a last ditch go to grocery store.I shop here only because it is near and I know the layout. If I want better quality meat I go to Millers in Verona.
Charge a different price than what it labels. And the cashier spend 10 minutes trying to figure out how to make the machine charge the right price. End up not getting the item since the cashier isn’t able to get the price right.
Helpful friendly staff! If you are in the mood for fried chicken or a fresh salad bar this is the spot. The chicken is better than fast food options and the pre made ceasar with chicken strips is delicious too. They also have really fresh produce as well!
Open late enough and decent selection, but the last couple of times we bought meat products from there, they were expired by as much as two weeks. Granted, one is ultimately responsible for the purchases one makes, but it also doesnt seem unreasonable to expect a grocery store to make sure it doesnt sell expired food to its customers. I narrowly avoided food poisoning once, and got it full on another time. Disappointing.
Had my worst experience in this Copps today. I loved this place before but it seems like today I walked in a totally different place. There were many new faces, but not that friendly as before. The cashier did not know how to handle the refilled water. Before I just needed to tell the cashier once I have 4 refilled water then they knew what to do. But today, I said that at least 3 times. The cashier even ask me to hand her the water jar. Come on, you just need to scan the label for 39c. I was also told that the old Roundys card is not working anymore and I need to change to a new one. But they failed to active my new card because they cant find my name in their system. Anyway, at last I just gave up for the new card. It seems changed a lot in this place. I dont know if I still want to go to here again.
Good store
Was helped finding the honey. But I have to say ... bagging needs to be addressed. Could you possibly have a tutorial on how to bag items. Never fails... always something crushed. And disgruntled employees complaining on the selling floor ...not! I work with the public as well and I know things can be difficult; but keep it at apropiate places
I shop here weekly because it is cheaper than Hyvee and I dont like going to Woodmans. Most of the staff are wonderful. I would NOT recommend shopping here early in the morning unless you are just picking up a few things. They will not open up a register for you, even if you have a full cart. This has happened to me more than once. I like self checkout, but not with a full cart. The system does not like it when you remove items from the bagging area before you pay. However with 50+ items, this cannot be helped. Get ready for an employee to have to come over to override several times during the process.
No returns or exchanges allowed. Buyer beware even if you have defective product.
Great place to shop.
I love Pick N Save and this store is nice but I prefer the Pick N Save in Fitchburg... I feel its bigger with a little more selections
By the produce check out super fast
The selection here is pretty terrible. It is like a 12 yo picks out the inventory. Certainly no one who actually cooks food, just someone who prepares it. There is a huge difference. I only go in a pinch or if I want fresh squeezed oj which they are out of half of the time I actually go for it. Why on Sunday morning would you not be stocked with it. Most employees are nice but some really are not all that interested.
I dont typically shop at this location, but the layout is similar enough that I could make a quick trip through for a few things.
Friendly and easy to navigate for a quick grocery trip. This location is more of a neighborhood store, so it is smaller and much less busy than many of the other grocery stores in town. They are remodeling the entire store after Kroger bought Roundys. It looks really nice so far.
Nice store, very large selection. Produce area a little small but adequate.
In and out quickly. A great neighborhood store.
The store is set up poorly. I walked a lot to find breakfast sausages as well as bakeware, not foil. Bakeware belongs in the baking aisle not four aisles over. Breakfast sausages in the opposite corner from the meat department. No people on the floor to help. The checkout clerk was great.
Its nice reasonable prices
Love this copps! Amazing service and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Especially Nicole in the floral department what a sweetheart.
Good selection value and service!
LOVE THAT BALLOONS HAHA SO CAYUTEEEEE HEHEHE OMG
Saved about $25 and the ending total was around 75. Not bad, get a member card
Great customer service and lots to choose from. Average prices
Saved $49 on my bill this week salewas awesome
