Great work, reasonable prices. they are so good that they are very busy. takes awhile to get in and get car back. but it was worth the wait and I was able to manage without the car during the process.

Could not ask for better service. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Waiting room is the cleanest and neatest in town. Cost of repairs is very reasonable.

Im out over $600 that still hasnt fixed the problems. Now I got too go anouther shop and start over. It pulls to the right traveling down the road and floats in either direction on bumps and crossings. Apply the brakes, it all straightens outand smooth. The bill was around $650 to replace the two new shocks in front end with more new shocks and do an alignment. This was too fix it. I said what ever it takes to fix this.! Its not the money part, I just wanted my vehical fixed.

Replaced wheel bearings. Dropped my car in first thing in the morning before they opened. Called explained that was going on. They called me after they checked it out told them to please fix it. Was done by the end of the day!! Honest awesome people to work with.

Had appointment for 9:30 AM. They didnt get it into the garage until 10:20 AM.Told me repair would take about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Took nearly 3 hours. No communication, no updates unless I asked for them. This was my first problem with Overley Automotive. Previous experiences have been satisfactory.

Have been taking all my families vehicles to this shop since I moved to town over 10 years ago. Always prompt service, even on bigger service work. John and Nick have helped us keep our cars in good running order, even when we were on tight budgets some years. They won’t try to sell you parts/services you don’t need, like so many shops! (For example, took my spare vehicle if for four new tires and they called me to recommend I only get two, as the other two still had over 10,000 miles life left!) Have taken several used vehicles here for prepurchase inspections, too, so we would know what we would be facing. They pointed out some expensive issues, that we would have been stuck with otherwise. Gave us complete information to make the smartest buying and negotiating decision for our daughters first car!

Used them for the first time. Had some problems with my cooling system in my 2013 Ram. They kept me updated with everything. Told me how much everything would be before performing any service. They are great to work with. I would highly recommend.

Had to have engine replaced. Found me a really nice used engine. Great job, John always goes WAY above in service then he has too. Great guy, Great service, only place I will go!!!!

Stay away from this shop we had our SUV repaired at shop and he sold us our same part back to us for DUBBLE the cost of a new one my SUV was a special order and the drivetrain system have vin number one the parts well if he replaced it why do I have the same vin number on the part he said he replaced this guy will rip you off and later send you a text that asking if your SUV is ok why because his guys cause more problems down the road so dont get your cars repairs done here

I got a free oil change because John Overley sent me a credit voucher in the mail to use towards any service. I was happy with the quality of the work.

This is a really good place to take your vehicles. They do good work and check back with you a few days later to see if everything is ok and that means alot. Nick and the rest of the guys know what they are doing.

Wow, I honestly don’t know where to start glowing about this place. I recently purchased a Volkswagen Passat in North Carolina & needed to drive it back home to Denver. About 20 miles east of Louisville, my water pump & timing belt faltered. While stranded, I found these guys doing my research & I’m so glad & fortunate I did. They saved my life honestly. Everyone here is super professional, Phil was the ASE-Certified Master Tech who punctually & professionally repaired my car, and their pricing in a pinch was incredibly fair. If I lived in Louisville, this is where I’d go forever for my automotive needs.I made it back home halfway across the country safe & sound & I couldn’t be more grateful & thankful. Adjusted the brakes on my 67 dodge van. Now works great. Glad theres a place thatll still repair 50 year old vehicles and have knowledge of drum brakes.

I lost a wheel while traveling through Louisville and was taken here by the AAA tow truck late Thursday night. They had my car repaired and ready for me by Friday and the price was very fair. Furthermore they contacted me a few days later to make sure i was still satisfied and that i was no longer having any issues. Highly recommend them

We lost a wheel bearing on the Jeep we tow behind our motorhome while staying near Louisville KY. AAA recommended and towed it to Overley. Lucky for us! It was repaired the next morning, we were offered warranty through NAPA since we live in Nebraska, and we received a text message after we returned home asking if everything had gone well! Amazing! The shop was clean and the staff was polite and professional on the phone and in person! Because they were so efficient, we were able to do things we planned in the area over the Fourth of July weekend and returned home safely! Thanks!

This place is great! Needed a new water pump. They were able to fix it on Oaks Day. I was not able to get a ride back to the shop so they came and picked me up. I highly recommend them!

I live in Eastern Tennessee and was traveling to Louisville, Kentucky to surprise my grandson on his birthday. Just past Simpsonville, my car began having trouble and I was still 30 minutes from my daughters home. I prayed like crazy to make it to her driveway before the car gave out completely. As I pulled into her driveway, I could smell something burning. I shut it off immediately! Next morning, I called AAA for a tow and asked for a reputable service garage. Initially, I was taken to a garage that wasnt open, so the tow truck driver made a call and re-routed me to John Overly Automotive. This was on a Saturday morning, I was there for a short visit and needed to head back home on Tuesday. John Overly provided prompt, courteous and professional service. My car was repaired and ready for pick up that same day. My daughter was so impressed with their service that she will now be using them when she needs automotive care. Its nice to know that there are still decent and honest folks in the business, under the circumstances, it would have been easy to take advantage of my situation and trump up the repairs. That wasnt the case, John Overly pinpointed the problem and promptly took care of it for me. I will definitely use them again, should the need arise while I am visiting my daughter in the future.

Overley Automotive has always given us dependable, reliable, and expert service on our vehicles. I have been to some other repair shops that overcharged and have sold me parts or services I may not have needed. I can speak from experience that Overley does not. One example: On one occasion, my wife went in to pick up our car after getting some routine maintenance done, one item of which was a set of new tires. She noticed the bill was quite a bit less than we had planned for. They told her it was because the two rear tires still had plenty of wear left on them, so they rotated those rear tires to the front and put only 2 new tires on the back. They could have easily given us what we asked and expected to pay for, but they chose to be honest and save us some unnecessary expense. I take all my 4-wheel vehicles to Overley Automotive.

I have had John Overley for years and he is the best mechanic that I could ask for. I decided to get me another car and give my old car to my son and so he is taking the car to John Overleys Shop and have things that just wear out over time fixed. I bought the car in 2004 New and has served me well for 14 years and some of the original parts need to be replaced. John knows the history of the car and once all the things get a face lift, my son should have a like new car. I also had John inspect and check the cars I test drove and he gave me advice on the over all best car for me. I just cant say enough good about his shop and his mechanics know a lot of things about all cars. John also has club booklet for oil changes and different services offered at a discount. If you decide to go to him ask about the booklet. He will be taking care of me with my 2017 car in the future too. John was in the AAA magazine of being one of the top mechanics in Louisville Kentucky, and also on Angies list.

If youre looking for a trustworthy place to get your car fixed, this is not it. I went to Overly Automotive because my car was hesitating and Autozone told me that the pedal sensor was going out. They were supposed to do a diagnosis and acted as if they didnt even want to do it. They didnt even bother to check the pedal sensor. All they did was put transmission fluid in my car and charged me 100 dollars for it. I already had transmission fluid in the trunk of my car. I couldve done it myself. I feel like Ive been had and my car still isnt fixed. I dont recommend this place.

I had a headlight burn out on my car...I bought a set of lights and tried to change them myself...I couldnt (I is inept with mechanical things)...I stopped by to see if they could put them in for me...they took my car and 10 minutes later I was on my way...I went to pay...they said...Have a nice Day! That is old fashioned customer service...I will be back to use them for my car repairs! NICE!

The infamous check engine light came on. Took it to Overleys as dealerships dont like working on older cars.The staff got my car scheduled in, & even gave me a ride home. At the time I had no one available to pick me upRepairs were completed the next afternoon.Picked it up, running much better than before.Next day the light came on again. Took it back, informing about miles driven and filling gas tank. Mechanic worked it right in, checking all the systems and electronics.It was reading in ranges as normal - but light kept coming on. Turns out it was the brand of gasoline used. Too much ethanol in it for an older car. Gas dryer added. Codes reset. Running out old gas & advised to use a name brand fuel with treatment additives and dryer each tank. Problem should be solved.Very satisfying to find crew that will work to find the problem & a solution. Definitely will return for future needs to keep a 20 year old car running. Thanks to a friendly and solution solving staff with a grest business ethic.

I wish i could give them less then 1star. Bad customer service if it doesnt benefit them. My AAA recommended them and when i inquired about my truck i stated the engine has been swapped and he rudely told mewere not interested in looking at it and good bye. He didnt even let me explain it. And no one has to accept your car but its devastating when your car breaks down. Gets towed and you wanna inquire about it being fixed and someone rudely shuts you down. Makes afraid to call any mechanic..

Great service and friendly folks. I have been letting these guys work on my vehicles for a few years now and have not had any issues (especially repeat issues as with some other places). While no one really likes the bill, I find him to be fair enough with the bill, even if I would like it to be cheaper. I try and do a lot of things myself just because I am cheap, but some things I dont have the tools or time to tackle.

Ive been going here for years. They do a good job and wont rip you off. Once you find a mechanic you can trust its hard to go anywhere else. I went through a LOT of shady shops over the years that lie and cheat you, i dont feel like i have to worry about that at John overleys.

My car started steaming and overheating out of nowhere so I couldn’t take it far. The closest place was here. If I had known about their shady business practices before hand I would have never bothered. I needed a new radiator and thermostat, and was informed the price tag for parts and labor would be over $850!! I figured that was outrageous so I called my buddy to help my fix it and we got it done in a few hours for only around $200. The worst part about this place is that with no verbal warning of any sort I was charged $53 for them to take a look at the car. When confronted, the owner told me I should have read the sign on the wall... I will make sure all my friends and family avoid this place so they don’t get scammed/overcharged as well.
