If you need 1 of only 2 certified Nissan mechanics that work at Collins plan on being without your car or truck for about 4 weeks. I had my Nissan Frontier towed to Collins for repair to fuel system (I think) and was told it would be about 2 weeks before they could attend to truck but would try earlier. After several calls and in person visits, now going on 4 weeks, they have not even diagnosed problem. What a failure to maintain and train enough qualified technicians to service Nissan vehicles.
Brad Ballinger and Patrick Williams knocked it out the park for me. I was in an accident in my 2021 Rogue I had just acquired from them in March. They went above and beyond what was needed to make sure I left in another vehicle. Go see them, you will not regret it.
I had a very bad experience with Collins workshop service, due to their not having Spanish translators. I made a work budget over the phone, I understood an incorrect number, because one hundred dollars is said one way and one thousand dollars another. And they used a way of saying 6,000 thousand in 60 hundred. For those who know English, they understand it, but for those who are learning it is very confusing. This prompted approval to perform a job on my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, and as it took more than double the time agreed for the job, I went to the workshop to hear from my car. To my surprise they had not done any work yet and the number was not 600, they were 6000. By expressing my disagreement and talking to the manager of the workshop. I informed them of the communication error you had. And I decided not to fix my car, because it was a lot of money. And they forced me to pay $ 870 if they didnt give me my car. This was after explaining to them in every possible way and they made every omission. According to them, they had to return the parts that they had ordered and had not received them yet.
Service Writer Matt was miss/uninformed about the warranty. He told me that I would be paying for each service inspection separately. I repeatedly explained that I was accustom to paying $100 for all inquiries. He insisted it would be $140 EACH service inquiry. I called Carefree Fidelity agent confirmed my fee/deductible would be a total of $100 for BOTH inquiries. Because I didnt want any surprises or the stress of unexpected cost I asked for another outfit that they suggest. Of course he suggested one of their preferred outfits (Nissan is not) and he also suggested Coyle Nissan. This was a GREAT inconvenience and stress but at least I know where I stand on price. Ill pay more for the oil change because my coupon is for Collins but, it is worth it.This is not my first experience where I felt as if I was being hustled. Ex: I had oil change I was told I NEEDED!! brakes which would be a fortune, next oil change I PAID Extra for rotation (which was done wrong check the records) to qualify for free brakes inspection only to be told this time my brakes were FINE. HUSTLERS!!
Thank you Alex for coming to diffuse the situation and explaining to me the importance of the service that was not offered the first time. I hope I am being refunded for the tire rotation that was reversed with my second attendance to the dealership.

Purchase process was easy and hassle free, but it took 9 months for them to get me a plate. Id asked numerous times for a specialty plate, was told that wouldnt be an issue. Showed up and they handed me a regular bottom-barrel plate. Not impressed.

Very unsatisfied! Not with the work they did but with the condition they left my car in! After speaking to Charlie and making him aware of the fact that I had a dashcam in my car. The same day at 2:09pm my dashcam was disabled. As I was unaware that it had been taken out of the 12v socket it was in and smashed due to me listening on my drive home to see if the car was still making the noise it was making prior to me taking it in for service. It wasnt, they had indeed fixed it . Once I got home we noticed the many bits and pieces my cable was in. Had to order a new cable from Amazon. Received it and hooked the camera back up and the 12 v wont work!My husband looked under the hood and discovered the cowl on my car had been broken as well as CVT transmission fluid all over the motor!!! Just highly unsatisfied with the dealership in general. May not have been as bad had they made us aware of the damage they had done to my car....but they didnt!So if you dare take your car into their shop take pictures of the condition of your car and then inspect it fully prior to paying for the work! Personally I wouldnt take my horse in to be rehoofed there! When you try to make them aware of the damage done they blow you off like its no big deal! This was a 2019 car! Not like it was an old car! Treat others and other property as youd want yours treated! This was not done !Nor has my situation been resolved as they claim!
Mat Howard was very attentive to the service request and gave me periodic updates and offered other needed services. He gave me his contact info should I have any follow up questions or need addition services in the future. He was infomative but not pushy and I like that treatment. I hope he is around when I need more service because he was a pleasure to work with.
Ill be honest here - the start of my experience wasnt great... the entry doors were blocked by a Nissan Rogue facing the wrong direction, so I have to wait for the exit door to open to pull my vehicle in. Then, the service advisor was typing away on his computer and wouldnt look up or acknowledge me. Customer service 101 says he should have at least said Hello, Ill be right with you? Otherwise, the service and communication was fine. Huge thanks to your cashier who was very helpful in going above and beyond to apply a coupon discount to my work! Thanks!

Dont bother dealing with these guys. Even in a time when demand is high and supply is low, we are still the consumer and should be treated that way. These guys dont honor commitments and should be avoided at all costs. If suggest Don Franklin in Lexington or Gates in Richmond before is ever go to the guys. Buyers beware!!!

My appointment was at 3:00 I arrived at Nissan service department around 2:45pm for an oil change,the guys told me an estimated time of 45 minutes to an hour. It took at least 20 minutes. Excellent customer service.Thank you!
It was great however I was wondering why as the dealership do you not offer a free wash and vacuum after any service. I think that brings even more of a quality service to have for anybody bringing their car back for service.

I brought my car in for its regular servicing and the attendant talked me through some of the recommended work due to the cars mileage. When I walked into the lounge, I fully understood all of the work that was going to be done and how much it would cost and didnt have to worry about anything else. It took less than an hour to check in, have the work done and pay. Im always impressed by the customer service at Collins Nissan and this time was no different!
Great experience buying a new Nissan. Shawn Thompson was wonderful to work with (we recommend him!) -- attentive, patient, asked good questions and presented the information we needed. Less than an hour from entering showroom to writing deposit check. Delivery was smooth, as well, and friendly. Geoff, finance rep, had to redraw up the paperwork due to some changes, but all was done immediately and within minutes. Took the time to explain everything to us. Enjoyed the entire experience!! Service department charged more for the diagnostic than what they quoted over the phone when I made the appointment. Also tried to charge me for parts that werent used and had I not called it out, or didnt review the invoice, I would have been charged 30% more on top of the $10 more for diagnostic than what they quoted. They also charge a 3.99% fee if you use a credit card. I was not made aware of that so I didnt bring a check or cash for the service.

Ive finally found a dealership that cares for its customers. Patrick Williams goes above and beyond to make sure that his customer is pleased. He is not only knowledgeable about the vehicles, but he is able to answer any questions asked and explain the answers in a common sense approach. Needed my transmission replaced, was told a week. Following in that week I had no calls that were answered or returned by nissan. I finally get ahold of someone, only to find out that on the day Im supposed to get it back the work hadnt even been started. I was told it would take ANOTHER week, and there were no loaners available. I could AGAIN get no answer the second week. I had to get a rental car, that they wouldnt cover, even though it was their fault that I had to rent a car, and when it was finally done, I had to call them to find that information out. Absolutely ridiculous

Anyways, i think (if I am not mistaken) they forgot to put back my screw covers? for the Low and High Pressure check valves?. Thats all my concern for now. Thank you.
God awful service team tried weaseling out of installing a new transmission and then refused to pay a thousand dollars worth of damage that they caused to my axle in the process. Had two transmissions go out before 63,000 miles. Damages to a 5 year old car have made up for the total price simply due to a poorly run dealership.

My wife and I were in search of a new car, our older car was great, just a little too small for what we needed. We live out of town, so a trip to Louisville for car shopping takes all day (even after doing the research at home).Collins was our first stop; we checked out some Nissan Rogues outside the showroom and almost immediately were met by Mark. His invitation and courtesy was great. He then introduced us to Shawn, who was such a professional, down-to-earth, and personable gentleman. They took the time to show us the details inside and out of the vehicle, as well as presenting a on-the-fly estimate of a sales price/trade-in value. We had planned to stop at a couple of different dealerships throughout the day, and when we left Collins, Shawn made followups via text to show us different trims that we were interested in.Long story short, we ended up buying another car from another dealership based on a different model, which my wife preferred for our own personal needs.However, we *would not hesitate* to return to Collins in the future for anything Nissan. The brief experience was great, and although I cant say youll have the same experience, if you are looking for anything Nissan, I would be comfortable pointing you in their direction.

When I stepped into the showroom at Collin’s Nissan, I was almost immediately greeted by Sales Professional, Ariel Jones. Ariel, worked patiently with me throughout the entire buying process; I write, patiently, because I couldn’t decide between the Maxima and the Armada and had changed my mind twice before deciding I wanted the Armada. At no point did Ariel make me feel pressured to make a decision. The rest of the buying process felt exactly the same, no rushing or feeling like you’re being pressured to do something you don’t want to do just so they can make a sale.At Collin’s Nissan, while reviewing all my options with Sales Professional, Ariel, Sales Manager, Mark and Insurance Agent, Peter, I felt completely comfortable and in control the entire time.By far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had.

Apparently being a female means that I have no knowledge of cars or what should be done/ looked at. I already knew what was wrong with the A/C, however, the original mechanic I had taken it to, noticed the compressor wasnt working which was my complaint, but also wasnt getting enough power to get the blower motor to work. His research made him weary of replacing the compressor without having a diagnostic done on a specific power module. After 3 calls to the service department, the only positive thing that came out of those three calls was that Matt looked up the price of the part replacement and the labor.When I went to drop off my car to the shop, there were NO notes about what I had literally talked about THREE separate times to have checked. There wasnt even a note about what problems I was having. So the girl who checked me in had to go through everything with me and somehow STILL did NOT mention or take note that I wanted a specific test run as part of the diagnostics. Because her notes made no sense, and were vague Matt had to call me at SEVEN THIRTY IN THE MORNING, to ask what problems I was having and what I wanted done.When I finally got information on what was wrong, it was verbatim what I had already said was wrong and what my mechanic was in the process of fixing, but guess what? You guessed it DID NOT MENTION a single thing about the part I wanted them to check. They didnt even run the tests I wanted, instead focused on the problems I basically lead them to, which honestly I hate that I even had to pay for diagnostics since I pretty much dangled the problem in front of them.To add to the wound and frustration, having to pay almost 4% extra to use a credit card anywhere for services is honestly ridiculous.
I called Monday at noon got an appointment for Tuesday at 11 15 am I was out of there in an hour and 20 minutes could not be happier.Service people were very nice and professional as well as cashier.

On June 26, 2020 I had an oil change and tire rotation and the Service Advisor, Lealand Robinson was very professional and discussed the service/parts that the technician found that needed attention. Lealand also answered all of my questions and was able to give me prices for each service. Lealand was also patient and scheduled my next appointment upon my request to have the additional work completed on my vehicle. I left highly satisfied!!!
