In 2014, my son had an accident in his 1989 BMW 325is. It hit pretty hard and he needed to have the frame straightened along with other body work. When he got the car back, he couldnt even drive it. Its been sitting every since. In the rear, both new tires were bald within a couple of hundred miles. The tread wear pattern shows its scooting down the road, not rolling down the road. The front alignment is so bad it wont even track. In on-ramp turns, it it acts like it wants to spin out. After close examination and measurement of the engine bay, it is apparent that the frame alignment is not correct. The diagonal measurement from corner to corner is WAY off. The hood alignment is an absolute disaster. I have no idea what is causing the other issues. He spent over $4300 to have these repairs performed, on a car he cant even drive now. My son, being young and dumb, never took it back, probably out of embarrassment. And he wouldnt tell me where this horrible repair was done because he knew Id loose my mind on the phone if I called them. It wasnt until recently that I ran into his repair invoice stating where this work was performed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. EVER. Should the owner of this shop like to make good on these repairs, Ill be happy to retract this review. We will see.**UPDATE** AFTER 6 MONTHS, THERE HAD BEEN NO RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW, EITHER TO WORK TOWARDS A RESOLVE OR REFUTE MY TESTIMONY. IT ANGERS ME TO NO END WHEN I LOOK AT THE LIST OF CHARGES MY SON PAID FOR CERTAIN THINGS THAT WERE SUPPOSEDLY DONE AND OBVIOUSLY WERENT. THESE GUYS MUST HAVE SEEN A NAIVE KID COMING A MILE AWAY. DO BUSINESS WITH LOUISVILLE FRAME AND FENDER AT YOUR OWN PERIL. THEY SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED.**UPDATE** JUNE 15, 2019 -- LFF FINALLY RESPONDED TO MY GOOGLE REVIEW ON THIS DATE, AND I FEEL I MUST RESPOND TO THEIR CLAIMS.THE SEVERITY OF THE ACCUSATION IS EQUIVALENT TO THE SEVERITY OF THE SHODDY WORKMANSHIP BY THIS BUSINESS. I DO APOLOGIZE FOR THE TIME LAPSE IN THIS REPORTING, BUT I HAD NO IDEA WHERE MY SON HAD TAKEN THIS WORK TO BE PERFORMED FOR MANY YEARS UNTIL I RAN INTO HIS INVOICE. I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTO OF THE ITEMIZATION OF WORK CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN PERFORMED. IM NOT SURE HOW THIS COMPANY CAN SITE THAT THIS WAS AN OFF-ROAD INCIDENT AS THE WRECK HAPPENED AT PALATKA AT NEW CUT ROAD. IN THE PHOTO YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE WERE CHARGES OF 5 HOURS LABOR TO SET UP AND MEASURE FRAME/UNIBODY AND PULL STRUCTURE. HAD THIS BEEN DONE PROPERLY, THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH THE HOOD PANEL ALIGNMENT, NOR PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLES TRACKING CAUSING A COMPLETELY NEW SET OF TIRES TO BE WORN TO THE THREADS IN LESS THAN 200 MILES. PLEASE SEE THE PHOTO OF THE FRONT EDGES OF THE HOOD AND HOW IT ALIGNS WITH THE TOP OF THE GRILL OVER THE HEADLIGHTS. THIS IS PROFESSIONAL WORK? ALSO, THE FRONT END ALIGNMENT IS ABYSMAL. HOW ANYONE COULD CLAIM A FRONT END ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED IS BEYOND ME. YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE BY VISUALLY SURVEYING THE FRONT WHEELS THAT IT IS HORRIBLY MISALIGNED. I FURTHER STAND BY MY ORIGINAL REVIEW OF THIS FACILITYS PERFORMANCE IN THIS REPAIR.
Louisville Frame & Fender has repaired my vehicle twice. Once when it was rear-ended and the second time when someone ran into it while parked. Both times were perfect and I wouldnt hesitate to bring any of my vehicles to them again the future. Thanks!
Called and the woman that answered was extremely rude and wouldnt stop cutting me off while I asked questions. How could you be so rude to someone who is providing free murals to neighborhoods around the city by talented local artist. Thanks for blowing me off and hanging up on me!
I recommend no one go to LFF they are unreliable, they gave me and the at fault insurance company a 10 day estimate and my car took over 40 days to repair. They took so long to repair my car the at fault insurance company stopped paying the rental car I was driving. LFF never called me in regards to my car I always had to call them for information. Then when they said my car was finally done it wasnt the driver and the passengers headrests were still popped open due to the accident, on some cars the headrests pop open as a safety feature they didnt even know that I had to leave the car for one more day, which was a real inconvenience considering my car was with them for over 40 days. All in all I seriously regret ever going to them, and I do not wish my experience with them on anyone else.
Jeff at Louisville Frame & Fender walked me through the process on a rust-repair job on my G-body Chevy and explained everything in detail before I agreed to start the work. He invited me to the shop to see the progress of the work before it was painted over. LFF also worked with Brill Auto Glass next-door to handle a glass repair at the same time. The repair was completed on time and the results look great, very nice work! LF&Fs initial estimate was the price I was billed for when the project was done.
Quickly resolved the issue with my vehicle and it looks brand new again.
Not sure about the quality of work, but if you have an older vehicle like me, they will not do any work on it. Just an FYI.
First class work.
Nice place to go to good employees
Worst place to get car repairs. Unorganized, not very knowledgeable of newer model vehicles. Very deceiving people, this should be zero star rating
Gave me one estimate and then submitted a lower one to my insurance company
