Heard about techno paint from my wife’s friend who had excellent service from them. My car’s rear door got hit/jammed/dinged and no longer opened. I met PJ the owner who was professional and down to earth. There was no hidden charges, he explained to me what it would and could cost, how much it could cost at a dealer for comparison. Zero sales pitch, the man loves working with cars and treats customers like a friend. My car got fixed at a fraction of cost it would have elsewhere in a speedy manner and I cannot be happier. He also quoted me at nearly half the cost of another repair shop. After he made the repairs, he took the time to show me a couple of the parts he replaced and explain what was wrong with them. On top of all that, he gave me a ride home and back as my family only has the one vehicle. P.J. truly goes above and beyond in all aspects of automotive service!

Been goin to PJ for a little over a year now! He’s the only person I let work on my car because he is knowledgeable and educates me about what’s going wrong with my car and probable causes. He has a passion for what he does and that alone goes a long way! He’s completely honest about everything and doesn’t just want your money! If he can’t fix something or is having trouble finding the exact issue he will indeed let you know instead fixing what “he thinks” it may be! Overall he’s a great guy and he’s kindhearted!!! 5 years of PJ helping us with our used cars. I wish I could leave a new review every time he helps me. Today he was the ONLY mechanic/shop in Louisville who was able to get something done for us that was last minute urgent before a road trip. Weve had him do so many different things over the years, even fix 6,000 in damage after an accident and he was able to help us not overpay.

My wife and I just moved from California to Kentucky to attend seminary. After four days and thirty-one hours of driving, we entered this land with one thought on our minds: it’s time to celebrate our momentous arrival over southern barbeque! We drove to a recommended restaurant where, just before going inside, I had a tragic encounter with a curb. It left a massive gash at the bottom of my front passenger side and dented the door in badly. Welcome to Louisville! Being completely new to this area, I had no idea who were the best body shops in town. I hopped on my local seminary Facebook group and asked, “Does anyone have a body shop that they recommend?” P.J. with Techno Paint was not just brought up; he was highly praised four or five times by the seminary students in the area.With due diligence, I got a few quotes from different shops, but P.J. blew them all out of the water. Each body shop wanted to completely remove and replace the damaged frame of my car, and they were going to make a killing on parts and labor that way.P.J. saw the car and thought the other quotes were outrageous. He offered to do a full restoration for 1/4 of the highest price that I was quoted! Instead of replacing the parts (which is what cost so much and took more labor), he was able to instead fix the damage; I got my car back today, and I can’t even tell where it was damaged in the first place!I am blown away by P.J.’s skill, and he has won me as a longtime customer with his honesty and helpfulness.When I went to pickup my car, P.J. even offered to check my wife’s car out on the spot since her check engine light had recently come on.All this to say, P.J. did amazing work and has definitely earned my trust and my recommendation!

He gave me my options in terms of parts and even helped with me negotiating prices for parts. I have done repairs at dealerships before so i know what im talking about. If you want excellent service and phenomenal work on your car at a fair rate, this is the place to go. Best mechanic Ive ever encountered. I will let my personal experience with PJ speak for itself. When my wifes car was acting up, meineke wanted to replace all the belts and do about $1600 worth of work. I brought the paperwork to PJ who said we didnt need most of that, did his own investigation, and discovered the engine crankshaft pulley was dysfunctional. Meineke missed this entirely. PJ fixed it immediately and charged me for the part and hardly anything for labor. He also investigated a floorboard leak at no charge (he said he couldnt find the cause but he must have dislodged a clog in the sunroof drain because it stopped). Later on, when my a/c went out in my car and I couldnt fix it with one of those autozone recharge canisters, he switched a couple of parts on an electrical panel and it was fixed. I pulled right up, he fixed it in maybe 3 minutes, and he charged me $0. You will leave techno paint feeling like you ripped off PJ instead of the other way around!! He really will treat you like family. You dont have to look at google reviews anymore, just call him :)

I dropped my car off with PJ at 5pm last night for new brakes all around. I picked it up at 10am this morning. My car was washed inside & out. PJ installed OEM parts and saved me several hundred dollars over my quoted local dealer price. Ive used PJ on many occasions, from body work to brake work, and have walked away extremely pleased with every transaction. Affable, honest, fast & affordable.
