We used Hi-Tech for a fireplace renovation, switching from wood to gas and redoing the surrounds. Hi-Tech didn’t do the finishing work on the surrounds, but they worked with us to make sure that our structure worked with what we had in mind. Everyone we interacted with was honest, pleasant, and hardworking. We are really happy with the finished product. We will definitely keep them in mind for other appliance needs!

Great job from Hi-Tech Appliances! Our KitchenAid dishwasher decided to pour water all over the floor so I called Hi-Tech for service. Got a date and service window and James was right on-time, and yes he left his shoes at the front door!Checked out the dishwasher, found and resolved the problem keeping me informed throughout the process. Hes knowledgeable, professional, polite, and in a node to the current climate wore a mask the whole time.Also gave us a few tips to help keep our dishwasher performing better going forward.

Our ice/water dispenser stopped working. It was a challenge to find the part. Furthermore the installation was more challenging. James was a professional and solved this problem in a timely manner.

I am truly at a loss trying to understand how dismissive, unhelpful, surly, and arrogant the Hi-Tech service member was to me this morning during the service visit in my home. He would not listen to any details of my recent experience with the appliance. His reasoning for the part replacement was that they break all the time and even if it doesnt fix the actual problem, well know its something else then after this first repair. He quickly ignored my description of the well-observed problem and dismissed my concern by telling me the number of years hes been doing this type of work. When somebody defends their position by talking about general years of experience, instead of discussing actual details of the problem at hand, they are using an appeal to authority and usually cannot provide any evidence for their claim. Not sure why he wouldnt just talk about the actual problem. He backed up his experience claim by telling me that the brand of appliance was of low quality, it should be expected to fail, nobody wants to repair them, and that we will have a difficult time finding any other companies able to repair them; none of which was helpful to solving the problem at hand. (In 2019, the J.D Power report lists this brand as ranking highest in customer satisfaction across all appliance categories. This is its third year in the number one spot. J.D. Power stated that this brand received more J.D. Power awards for kitchen appliances than any other manufacturer.) It seemed that his approach to this repair problem was to quickly identify a large/expensive part to replace, ignore all contrary evidence, dismiss the customers concerns, trash the appliance brands reputation (also by association trashing the customers decision to purchase said brand), and leave as quickly as possible, within 15-20 minutes. If this description of our repair experience can save someone else from paying this company to make them feel as bad, small, and undervalued as I do, then maybe my time and money wasnt wasted as much as it seems to have been. One last note on this technician, he illegally parked his van directly behind two cars in a driveway, blocking both from being able to move, just to avoid walking approximately 35 feet to many legal, convenient, open parking spots on the street in front of the house.

The customer service is wonderful. Today they took extra time to help me trouble shoot a problem with a gas dryer. In addition, many of my clients use their services and have been extremely satisfied.

Would give 0 stars if an option. Tech shows up unmasked at front door and says hes unvaccinated and has an attitude that its not the law. (really?) He put on his mask, but wrong person to send into peoples homes. Not OK. Also, prior to trip, I asked Hi-Tech to confirm that they could get replacement parts (I knew what was needed and supplied brand, serial #, etc...) otherwise I didnt want them to send someone out (waste of their time and mine). They confirmed multiple times that they did have access to replacement parts, when they actually DID NOT. Wasted a week waiting for an appointment to fix an unfixable (as it turns out) gas fireplace. They didnt charge me for the trip, but time is money. Could have had the fireplace demod the day before when a worker was here to do so instead of holding out false hope and now having to rebook someone to come back to do a tear out. Terrible communication. Rude and uncaring service. Too bad.

Dealing with Hi Tech was fantastic! I got a two hour window on a day that was convenient for me . It was two days out! Alan came, knew my appliance and fixed it quickly! The bill was very reasonable!

Shane arrived on time and very effectively preplaced the pilot assembly in our fireplace. He offered to answer any questions and checked for leaks after effecting the repair. Very happy with his work. Less pleased with the fact that our initial service call was placed on 9/10 and at that time was told the needed part would not arrive for 10 days. On 9/23 I called to get an update on the parts availability was placed on hold to be told it would be looked into and I would get an update. Several hours later I received a return call stating the distributor was not indicating the parts new expected arrival date was 10/10. On 10/7 I drove to your business for an update and after several minutes of searching was told the part had not yet arrived. Shortly after being told the part was not there another employee came forward with the part in hand. Per information provided with the part, it was a received date of 9/21. I paid for the repair in total on 9/10 and had to wait another 34 days for the work to actually be performed. Pleased with the work performed but it my view inventory control could use some work.

Hi-Tech was the cheapest option we found for the style fireplace we wanted, but I wish wed gone with one of the more expensive options. The whole process has been a complete drag.We ordered at the end if July, was told theyd have it in the following Wednesday, or at most the week after. It took until early September before they got it in (and no one told me, I had to keep calling to ask for updates, and they couldnt even find my order in the system without getting a manager involved), then I had to keep calling and emailing for another two weeks to get on their installation schedule.When the installation day finally came around on 9/18, they told us they were missing the reflective back panels that wed ordered (they were on backorder). They couldnt finish the install that day because the permit inspector had to approve the rough-in first, so we got the inspector out there a few days later.Its now been another month since then, and Scott B, our sales person, is not replying to my emails about when we can expect the back panels and/or to finish installation without them.Ive spent so many hours calling and emailing Hi-Tech to get the bare minimum of customer service required for them to finish the job, and no one seems to care one bit about getting this done. If we hadnt had to prepay for both the fireplace and installation at the time of order, Id have found someone else to finish the install by now, but I want them to complete the job I paid for.Only reason theyre getting two stars is the cheap price, but be aware that their time estimates are way off, and youre setting yourself up for a ton of work on follow-ups by ordering from them. Would not recommend.

Very professional, would recommend in the future

Tim H did an excellent job installing a Kitchen Fabre Hood m where there was no previous venting. His skills shone especially in creatively planning and executing the pathway through the above ceiling spaces. He also did an outstanding carpentry job retrofitting the hood into the cabinetry. In addition, his electrical and venting work were excellent. He and his teammate were a pleasure to have in our home, and left their work areas clean and neat. They also communicated well throughout the day so there was no mystery as to what they were doing, where they were in our home, and their progress. The hood works perfectly and looks even better than we imagined. Don’t hesitate to use Hi Tech! Great products - great service.
