Churros are fresh and hot. Made on the spot. Line gets extremely long so hope youre getting more then a small bag. You can get a bag of 30 churros for $27. Trust me, worth it cause you cant eat just one.This is not a store front. Don Abels has expanded from a small little truck where he fried all his churros right in front of you to a big lunch truck... Usually parks in front of the Wells Fargo bank on Whittier Blvd.He is serving during the Covid19 just remember to practice social distancing and wear your mask.

I had been to too many churros places and Am never satisfied so when this place said “Fresh homemade churros”, they mean it! One of the best churros I ever had. Worth the wait people. Go get some 🥰P.s. they have drizzle toppings like lechera & Cajeta as well yum

Incredible. My asian friend loved your churros. They were so good he ripped his shirt off. A bunch of hooligans came with us so we ended up sharing 3/5 of them but the experience was so wonderful that we couldnt care less. 5/5 stars, great location, great service, great food, great people, great drinks.

These churros okay if you want a quick churro. We order a number 4. They where a little to crispy and grease for my taste. Nothing special like churros el bochito. They do offer free coffee which is very nice. The other issue I have is, the location. It over crowded and at times didnt feel very safe. Not worth a drive unless your near by.

I’m from Seattle and we don’t have very many options for churros over there. I was a little iffy on trying this truck, but I was wanting to try a churro while I was in LA.I made the right choice!! These were hands down, the best churros I’ve ever had. Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside, but still soft on the inside. If I’m ever back in LA, I’m coming back here again!!!

My experience is with the truck that shows up on Washington Blvd and orr and day . At the pioneer high school parking lot, churros are excellent and the whole family loves them. If you see the truck stop by and get some, its worth it!

This place is not what I expected based on the reviews . The churros are not good, they have alot of oil dripping every bite you make & the prices are not what they post they are 1$ a churro .. If you really want fresh made churros really good filled with anything you want on it or inside the churros go to 26th & Avenue you will not be disappointed freshly made by far the best churros Ive tasted, ( if you dont believe me look it up on tiktok ..

Churros were delicious and fresh AF. They had complimentary café de olla for paying customers. The one thing I didnt notice until after I ordered and ate was them having plátanos fritos. They looked amazingly delicious. Definitely making a trip back and bringing the parents next time.

OMG, these were the best churros weve ever had! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, plus a drizzle of the caramel syrup - so delicious and finger licking good! Although there was a queue when we arrived, we didnt have to wait too long as the service was fairly quick. A superb end to our stay in Los Angeles!

Best churros in town... A must have! Just be careful on becoming addicted! The size depends on who is making them. They are super cheap, you get like 20 for $10 and honestly the $6 one is a good buy because it comes with 10 churros.

People line-up for days to buy churros from Don Abels stand. And its needless to say they are delicious. I bought a badge of 10 churros for $6.00 and we ate them in a flash. The only thing that was not worth the $2.00 was the mini cajeta. Do not buy it! It tastes NOTHING like cajeta, it tastes like liquid sugar!

Cheap fresh crispy warm delicious churros get the dip and they also give you free small cup of cafe de olla.

All hype dont stand in a long line wasting your time for some regular overpriced churros not to mention theyre small i can eat them in 1 bite, honestly rather go with the regular street or carnival churros, they did have flavor nun the less they were regular for the price.

Went there Saturday afternoon churros didnt have no type of flavor all they was full of was grease. The grease was dripping every where even the plastic bag was full of it. I would expect a lil bit of grease on the paper bag since they fry them but no this much definitely will not be buying anything from this place again nasty.. 🤮👎

Despite the prices going up and the little trailer becoming a full fledged food truck. Don Abel remains a great place for fresh and reasonably priced churros. Normal people could probably split a bag of 10 churros amoung 2-3 people, however everyone will regret not ordering their own bag. I like them best plain without strawberry jam or cajeta.

The best churros I have ever had (and I have tried plenty)...and served from the back of a truck in a Target parking lot! Extremely crispy exterior with warm gooey center without excessive oil or sweetness. I like the strawberry/condensed milk/caramel drizzle, but it may be too sweet for some. They only do one thing, but damn do they do it well

We were driving on our way back home from downtown LA to Riverside taking the scenic route and came upon a bunch of food truck in July while celebrating our Anniversary. We stopped here cause churros and platanos. We have been back almost every weekend since. We make a day of it and stop here on our way home. The nice lady remembers me by now and already knows our order. I keep telling everyone they are the best. If anything the long lines & repeat customers should be enough to make you want to try them out. They are both fresh & hot, especially great with the caramel, strawberry & condensed milk topping. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

Yes! The fresh churros were super! I also got a fried banana. The banana they started with had a couple of overripe spots, but for the most part it was very tasty and paired excellently with the churros.

Churros Don Abel mmmm yummy! They are slim, light and crunchy and the inside feels kind of creamy. They can also put condensed milk and strawberry jam for an additional price but I thought it was too much sugar. I got the smallest bag for $5 and tax included. I wish it was just a tad bigger. You can find Churros Don Abel on Whittier St, they are frying churros in a small cart/truck.

You can get either plain churros of churros cajeta fresa y lechera (caramel, strawberry, and condensed milk drizzle). Get the drizzle, its DELICIOUS. For those of you expecting churros like the ones that you get from Costco or any amusement park, youre in for quite a treat. The outside has a nice crisp with a good dusting of cinnamon sugar, the inside is soft and moist, and the drizzle makes them even more flavorful. We also got 100 churros for only $35; damn good deal. They also sell fried plantains.Just a heads up, if you use Android Google Maps weirdly navigates you a few miles east of where the actual location is. They park outside the plaza that has Wells Fargo, El Super, and Target. Plenty of parking in the plaza.Cash only; surprise surprise...
