My wife and I got in to see Dr Maanen promptly, had everything explained to us, were tested promptly and shopped for glasses. Everyone on the team was courteous and very knowledgeable. I’d recommend, no question about it.

With such a great, warm staff and the always pleasant and professional Dr Maanum taking care of you it takes what could normally feel like a chore (getting your annual eye exam) and turns it into a relaxing and optimistic experience.

Dr. Manuum is very kind and courteous, answered all of my questions thoroughly and with confidence, and took the time to clarify some of my insurance coverage. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about insurance and really helped me out with my questions and a decision I had to make my contacts and glasses. I guess what I deducted a star for is the selection of frames, them having only one Saturday a month where they are available (though this is understandably due to business flow on Saturdays), and, while I think the staff is friendly, they are not the warmest people Ive had the pleasure of talking to -- all of this is in comparison to my previous eye doctors office, and they were fantastic. But this is an overall great practice!

Dr. John Maanum is an amazing optician. I am a Periodontist, and my job demands perfect vision for performing delicate oral surgical procedures. I have a very high and challenging eye prescription, and most opticians I have visited during the past 30 years were unable to come up with the right prescription both for the eye glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Maanum, however, was able to patiently find me perfect contact lenses as well as right corrective lenses for my eyeglasses. I feel like hitting the jack pot by finding Dr. Maanum, and I strongly recommend him.

Four years ago I chose to go to Dr. Maanum randomly because I had just moved here and didnt know anyone to get a referral for a dr and he was the closest eye dr to my house listed in my insurance directory. Best at random pick ever. He is seriously the best eye doctor I have ever been to and not to mention he has the friendliest staff ever.

I got started with Dr. Maanum when he took over the practice of Jerry Karasick, the optometrist I had been seeing, when Jerry retired. Im glad I stayed with him. Dr. Maanum is intelligent, friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate--in other words a terrific eye doctor. When you see him ask him about his background, which is both conventional and unusual.
