Through a carfax report I was able to find the dealer that had been servicing my potential buy. Chris, the service advisor was absolutely fantasic at helping me get info on the vehicle. Amazing! We had that rear hatch module issue pop up on us. Took it in to Timmons Service, and they had us fixed and out the door in no time. I called the service mgr personally two weeks later to thank him. The best dealer visit Ive ever experienced. REALLY. I had the 30,000 mile service. Service Advisor Marvin does a great job. The customer waiting area is convenient, comfortable and attractive. We were even given snacks. I have very mixed reviews on this. I got here right after a road trip and had car issues.Pros: Luis got me in right away and got a diagnosis and got it fixed all within 24 hours. He was super helpfulCon: I got in the car and it wasn’t clean. I paid for the extra clean. I was told no worries and they would clean it and it would be back in 5-10 minutes. I didn’t get the car back for about an hour. They didn’t vacuum it out other than a couple floor boards and the outside was hardly any cleaner than how it went in. The dash wasn’t wiped down at all and windows weren’t cleaned. I was disappointed that I spent so much Time at the dealership when it was already supposed to be done. However, I’m even more disappointed that I had to wait longer and it wasn’t done correctly and now I have to pay to do it somewhere else
Let me also add a positive review of sales representative, David Stone. He contacted me when I was looking to lease a Subaru. He couldnt have been more accommodating, down-to-earth, respectful. No hard sell. He went to great length to explain all aspects of car leasing, and minutiae that I wasnt aware of. I would totally recommend using his services for car leasing.
Why are there NO MINUS STARS? 1 star for Timmons Subaru is way too much! Its the very worst car dealership I have ever dealt with: RUDE, and UNRELIABLE1. I received a Trade-Up offer from Subaru a month ago. Sent emails to redeem offer. Received replies UNRELATED TO THE OFFER. Left a message for the “Trade Up” specialist (think Adella or Abella).. NO RESPONSE2. Called yesterday to make a service appointment at 1:15 pm for today, 9/10/21. Thought was to meet Trade Up Specialist while the car was serviced.3. Arrived on the dot. Shiny NICE NEW BUILDING. BUT NO CARS OR CUSTOMERS AS COULD SEE SERVICE TECHS SITTING IN THE SHOP FLOOR AREA BY THE LIFTS.4. A woman told me to turn on “Emergency Lights” and wait5. At 1.24 I asked her where was the manager. She pointed to a glass walled office and said he was on a call.6. 15 minutes after the appointment time a younger guy comes out. I ask him if they have NITROGEN as that is how the car came: with Nitrogen in tires.7. He says “we do not”. I asked why? He said Subarus do not come with Nitrogen. I asked, “then how do I have Nitrogen including the GREEN tire valve covers. “Did I fill tires with Nitrogen?”. He said “YES YOU DID”I left, and am now writing to Subaru to investigate and mystery shop Timmons Subaru since its a blot on Subaru brand name. The service manager needs to be fired and the Owners should be feeling embarrassed: they tout being a family owned dealership but deliver a poor experience compared with professionally managed dealerships. WHAT GOOD IS A FAMILY if it wastes my time and treats me shabbily?
Jimmy sales team member and Mario finance manager are the best! They both treated me with kindness and respect. They both made the process super easy and fast. We had arranged the price and the details of the contract before hand which made everything so simple. I was probably at the dealership for about 2 hrs or less. I would highly recommended this dealership and these two Members.2nd this dealership offered the best pricing for me. I live in Orange County and I called about 6 different dealers to find a specific car. Most didn’t want to go near the price I wanted. This dealership did and it was confirmed over the phone. This will be the only dealership I purchase another Subaru from.Jimmy also followed up with me that night and next day to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Don’t look twice come to this dealership and ask for Jimmy and Mario. I work at a credit union and Member service is our # 1 priority. These two individuals offered me that. Take my word, you won’t have to look anywhere else.
If no stars were available, that is what i would click on. I needed service on my vehicle. Not only did no one pick up the phone for 2 days in the Service Dept. but their message box was full (could not leave a message). Also, tried on-line but no one called me back either. Do yourself a favor, try another dealership - maybe they will answer their phone and you can get your car serviced that way.
Worked with Henry in getting our car! This is our first experience with Subaru in general and was a positive experience. He explained the different models available, found us the exact model/features that we wanted, and walked through the different financing options. This is quite a busy store (went in early afternoon, mid week) despite having newly moved to this location. Overall service and paper processing was done in good time and during any downtime customer service was great. At the end of the day, it often comes down to good cost and availability which this dealership has. It was a plus to have staff that is personable and knowledgeable about their products.

Timmons new GIANT location is awesome: more cars on the lot, a ton more service bays, and modern, roomy offices and showroom. Our salesperson Kyle was fun and friendly and got me a great seal on our new 21 Autumn Green Outback Limited XT. Mike in finance was equally great, partly because he enjoyed our loony sense of humor. None of the people we dealt with were smarmy like so many other sales folks can be. As a first time Subaru owner Im very impressed, and Im happy I chose our local Long Beach California Subie dealer, Timmons Subaru of Long Beach.
Usually I dont take time to write reviews BUT this gentleman is so deserving of one; Henry Park is not pushy, hes super knowledgable, down to earth, honest and actually quite funny. Im in my mid-fifties and have been buying/leasing cars off of lots for 30+ years....the end result being exhausting 90% of the time. Mr Park is different and has made my transactions w/him smooth and transparent. This is why I have followed him to every dealership hes at, and will continue to do so...
Everyone at the dealership was very professional. They were patient with my questions and took care of everything in a very timely fashion. I had to order the car and it arrived much sooner than anticipated and so far I love it.

I just found out today you guys have a new location and so far have the best employee there name Jesse cardenas that was honest including an outstanding person nor did try to up sell a vehicle overall the best guy.. would definitely recommend him as a salesperson if anyone plans on buying a wrx !! I had a great visit here today! I made an appointment to get service done on my car and was told to wait (which happened to be 3 hours). Chris Price was happy to help us with a pizza in one hand and told us he would take care of it. After another 20 minutes of nothing happening, we were directed to Miguel Ramos who gladly yelled at us telling they already told us it would be a 3 hour wait (which no one did). Typical untrustworthy car dealership. Do your business elsewhere.I test drove a vehicle, agreed on price (MSRP, no discounts), and reserved a vehicle since they had none in stock. I come back a few weeks later for the purchase, sit down at the sales desk, and our sales rep showed us the MSRP with tax and title. All was fine. Then, minutes later, we are told that there was a non-negotiable $2,000 markup on the vehicle. After an hour of useless negotiation, they took off the premium but forced us to purchase a $1,000 KARR Guard package, which I made clear I did not want but was told it was the only way to get rid of the premium. The sales rep also told us we were lucky they werent charging us more.This is extremely disingenuous and manipulative. Beyond their decision to tack on an extra $2,000 premium at the last minute of the sale, they had explicitly told us weeks earlier that they would NOT be adding premiums to their vehicles, because they are a family-owned dealership that doesnt exploit their customers. On top of that, they gave me an insultingly lowball offer on a trade-in, which is now listed 2.5x their purchase price.The sales manager sent a generic are you happy with your purchase? email the next day, I replied and explained why I was not. He called a couple of days later and left a voicemail, I called back and left him a message, then its been radio silence ever since. Clearly they do not care about their customers or their reputation as long as they are making a sale.

Ive spent the last 3 months researching my next car and when I decided on getting a Subaru Forester, I reached out to multiple dealers to get quotes for the exact trim and features I wanted. Courtney from Timmons was the only person who responded with prices for the trim I wanted and didnt waste my time by trying to offer me something I was not interested in. With my months of research, I knew exactly what kind of deal I was looking for so I asked very detailed and direct questions and Courtney had no problem answering them with detailed and direct answers. Working with Courtney, I knew I was getting honest responses, a straight forward deal, and my time wasnt being wasted. Much thanks to her efforts and her transparency.When it came time to talk to the finance guy, I was preparing my self for dealing with a person who would try to swindle me and get more money out of me. Working with Mike, the finance manger, was the complete opposite experience. He broke down all the costs line by line, let me ask questions, and was never once condescending or impatient with me. Mike was transparent with the numbers and had no problem putting things down on paper when I didnt understand something. Working with him made the paperwork process stress free and saved me headache.I havent worked with anyone else from Timmons Subaru but Id highly recommend working with Courtney to help choose the car youre looking for and working with Mike to finalize the paperwork. Great experience overall with Timmons. Looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

Great, fast service! I had a broken window, they were able to take the car that day, and have it fixed in just a couple days. They did great work, with a fast turn around and no nonsense along the way. Ill be going back next time I need to get my car serviced!
Finally getting around to leaving a review for this place. So I was intent on buying a WRX, and had communicated with an online sales person through email, and locked in a price. Wasnt trading in my car so I had to uber over. Showed up, check in hand, ready to buy. Everything is going well, until I get to the finance room. The guy tells me there is an additional $400 clearshield field, non negotiable. I told him Im not paying it. He went to talk to his manager and said the best he could do was $200, since they had kept the dealership open a little late to accommodate me (even though I was planning on coming in the following day, but they insisted I come in tonight). I decided to leave. The next day the online sales person sent me an email, and said they would drop the clearshield fee(surprise surprise). I responded that I would come in on Sunday as long as they still honor the deal. The sales person never confirmed, and I never got another response. I left it at that....Im not gonna beg to buy a car lol. The people here were nice enough, but they are not upfront and honest. And I wasted $70 on Uber for nothing. I took my business elsewhere.

I have nothing negative to say about this place. They gave me a very good deal with my Subaru Impreza. Also the thing about this place is although I have a good credit score they dont force you to get the most expensive car. Like for example, I really would like to get the WRX back then however they told me straight out that with the car like that Im not going to get the APR and the monthly that I want.So they started giving me options. And when you have options it means that they have a lot of cars to choose from. And they give me a range from their Outback line, Forester to ImprezaBut thats not what I really like about Timmons. Thats just secondary, what I really like about this place is their service. When theres something wrong with your car or if youre due to for a maintenance. They get the job done. I got my Subaru Impreza Sport Edition back in 2014 and its still runs like brand new.Shout out of many thanks to Miguel R. for always there and helping me out.

We easily and quickly agreed on a price, and she walked me through everything I needed to know. I’m a bit of a peculiar customer, and what I mean by that is that I’m annoying, particular, and have a lot of questions. Courtney never once made me feel like a bother—she always addressed my concerns, and went out of her way to make sure my needs were met. Absolutely the worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with. The sales manager is rude and doesn’t care on what the people want and when we questioned anything his answer was basically take it or leave it. The sales person says one thing and then turns instead of saying I can only ask. Well so we basically left it and bought the exact same car at Pacific Subaru where they treat you like a human and with respect and the prices are way better. The dealership is also more professional and nicely designed. They also only run your credit with your permission and talk to your entire party.
Not always perfect, but this time they get 5 stars! Got my battery changed at Pep Boys and came out with all sorts of warning lights flashing and Pep Boys refusing to take responsibility. Danny at Timmons took great care of us and documented what happened so we could take it back to Pep Boys and hopefully get them to cover the repair cost.

Eddie was able to give me enough incentive over the phone to convince me to do the hour drive out to them over my local dealerships. Once there he made very competitive offers that beat out the other dealerships in my opinion. I also spent some time with the manager there who was also extremely helpful in getting me what I wanted in the price range I needed to make a deal. Once done Miles did a wonderful job getting all the documents handled and explaining all costs/information to me so I was left with no questions. Miles and Eddie were both exceptionally outstanding in their demeanor, a joy to be around which was refreshing as at other dealers I found some salespeople to be disgruntled. Once purchased, Eddie even took time to show me all the car features, thoroughly knowledgeable and something that I don’t think is standard/required but such an amazing help! I could learn it from the manual I’m sure, but 10-15min with Eddie and I’m confident with everything in the car now

So I went in with my wife to help with the negotiating and came to an agreement with them, no added warranty or other products they offer....I left before the paperwork was signed and what do I see after I read the contract .. two additional charges for 850.00 for the services we had declined and another generic charge of 2450.00. Yes they took advantage of her after I left. Will be going back to discuss the removal of said services

Just wanted to give my review of Timmons Subaru of Long Beach!I had a lemon law case that took a year and 6 months to complete. I inquired about a 2018 Crosstrek at the time in 2018 but due to the case being in progress I was not able to purchase anything. Chris Alvarez kept in communication with me via email and also by phone, and kept inviting me down to visit the dealership and get acquainted with the model I was looking into... and was not pushy or wanting to sell me the car but made time to answer my questions before I invested in my Subaru. When I was finally able to purchase the 2019 Crosstrek I wanted, Chris had it ordered from the Subaru Factory in Japan directly with the add-ons I requested. Once the vehicle arrived I wasnt able to pick it up right away and it took sometime, but the dealership held the car for me and didnt give it away to someone else . I really want to say to this dealership.. everyone involved made buying my first Subaru really special (thank you). Joe in the finance department made purchasing the vehicle very easy and had me laughing through the entire process. Russell also assisted me with getting to know how the vehicle worked in greater detail and answered my questions about my vehicle. Timmons Subaru of Long Beach thank you for everything you guys did.. I am truly grateful for all of you, everyone went above and beyond helping me.. I will definitely recommend friends and family members to come here and buy Subarus and I will be coming back as a returning customer!

This rating is for their customer service and scheduling. Tried scheduling a service appointment for Takata airbag recall multiple times and every time the customer service rep told me that someone would call me back and schedule it but nobody ever did. Its especially unprofessional on their end given its for a recall safety issue. Ended up scheduling an appointment with Subaru Fullerton which only took few minutes over text.
My first Subaru! I had such an amazing experience, first as a AAA member I was able to take advantage of some great incentives, and 2nd the service I received from Rusty and Abay at Timmons Subaru was exceptional, courteous and efficient. It’s a smaller place than I expected, but they have what you need, and if not, they will get it for you, I recommend Timmons Subaru 100%
We absolutely love our new Subaru outback we just got from Timmons. We got a great 0% deal and a 10 year warranty. We worked with Eddie Aldoph and R.c. and working with Eddie was pleasant, hes not pushy and just a really nice guy. The whole purchase moved pretty smoothly. If you ask for Eddie you will have the best salesperson at that dealer. Yay
Be careful when dealing with anyone at this particular dealership in the used car department. They tried to mislead me to sit down and finance a used vehicle without wanting to haggle. They also low balled my trade in. Make sure you are prepared to deal with unfriendly attitudes when you try to talk down a price.

I would like to thank Chris C. in Subaru service and the service mechanics for fixing my AC on my 2014 Subrau. AC is an interesting thing. It only has a few parts and pretty much runs independently from anything else except for the computer. The problem was a known weak spot in the Forester, the evaporator thermo sensor. They pinpointed the problem and repaired it. More importantly, Chris kept me informed. Thanks again!

This place is awesome. Look nobody likes a pushy carlot and there are new style lots that operate differently (sales people not on commission etc) BUT for a traditional car lot this place is as good as it gets: salespeople are informative, SUBARUs ARE a great value! You cant really go wrong! Subaru USED to only make DORKmobiles but no more! The WRX is an AWESOME car, I loved mine for three years. Our Crosstrek is now their top selling model - a great overall vehicle. Timmons does a good job of helping customers get a good vehicle.
I was ready to buy an Sti. Dealer wasnt very pleasant. They gave me the impression that they didnt care to earn my business. Almost as if they were doing me a favor. I will never ever return. I went elsewhere and made the purchase.
I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. It was one of the worst experiences that Ive had buying a car. The sales person Salman along with the sales manager RC were very difficult and condescending. Ive never had a person tell me well you dont have to buy our car. We ended up not buying it there, we went to subaru pacific, the car was over 3,000 cheaper and the service we received was so so much better. Even though the Pacific dealership is further away I’ll be taking the car there for any service, because Timmons really showed me that they didn’t want my patronage and didn’t care about treating me like a person.
I am very satisfied with this dealership. First Subaru purchase and am pleased knowing the process was quick and simple. I had called several Subaru dealerships near me and they all pretty much offered the same out-the-door price. The last two places I called were Fullerton and Timmons in Long Beach. I was straightforward with all of them and told them exactly what I wanted. Both places gave me great deals, but Timmons proved to me they wanted to do business with me. When I told R.C. (Sales person) I’m shopping around for the best price, he asked what price would it take for them to get my business. I gave him some numbers and sure enough he gave me a firm price by text. At first I didn’t think they would take my offer, but they must have felt comfortable with the profit they were making on my sale. Compared to all other dealerships, except, Fullerton- R.C., Mario (finance officer) and the rest of personnel involved at Timmons gave me the experience I was looking for- quick and easy customer service. I let them know I was not interested in any other offers and didn’t want to hear any of those options and if I got any last minute surprises I would walk out. What you know, these guys aim to please. No gimmicks and no hassles- these guys are true professionals. I highly recommend them if you’re in the market for a Subaru.

Mike the finance guy was great as well as Enrique. We got the Subaru Ascent, premium trim, 7-seat. It was exactly what we wanted and more. If you are looking at a Subaru come to Timmons; and yes I have been to the other Subaru dealers, Timmons was by far the best one.

Everything was explained in detail, it was a delightful experience and Justin was very very patient with me going over things more than once when I didnt understand. As car dealership experiences go, Timmons makes it a good one. Salesman Eddie is great. They make you comfortable. I recommend them highly.

From the beginning to the end, Mitch Atkins at the Timmons Subaru was professional, honored his word and the experience was a smooth transaction with a sense of urgency on his end. Where do I begin the lot configuration for service is a jokeeverything look very disorganized people are not at the ready to come and greet you they dont follow up on calling customers for parts that were ordered they just wait and send them backall customers waiting for service seem to have a problem with the coffee machine I dont drink coffee but it looks like you need a degree in order to get coffee because its way too complicated something you might find in a high end dealershipand ultimately they get by overall I dont necessarily have too much bad to say I just dont have anything good to say.
Great overall experience especially when working with Chris Alvarez. He made the whole process easy and every time I had a question he was quick to provide an answer. We love our new Subaru Ascent. They also beat the competition when valuing my trade in which made the experience even better.
This was my first interaction with Timmons, and itll absolutely be my last. Heres how it all went down.I got a recall notice in the mail relating to an emissions recall on my 2015 Subaru Legacy. The letter tells me that, until I get the piece of paper from a Subaru dealership showing I had it looked and either a) passed the inspection or b) had the part in question replaced, the CA DMV wont let me register my vehicle. Pretty serious stuff huh? But luckily there was also a line about how any Subaru dealership will be happy to help me out at no cost to me. Wonderful! I pull up the Timmons web site and try to make an appointment online, but when I indicate that the visit will be for a recall notice, the web site tells me to call instead. No worries, I ring the service department.I get a pretty sassy lady walking me through what info they need, but I dont trip on it too much--theres a pandemic and we are all stressed out a bit. Then we get to the end, and rather than booking me an appointment, Im told all she was doing was gathering my info for someone ELSE to call me at an unspecified date/time. Uh, OK? At this point I figure Ill get a call by the next day. No call the next day, so after 2 days I call back to ask about the status. I am once again sassed to no end, and am very condescendingly told that theyll call me when theyre good and ready. Fine, Ill give it another couple days ...Its now been a WEEK. Theyve had my contact information relating to a very serious recall issued by Subaru, and no one has called me. Absolutely outrageous! I realize youre busy but good lord, a 7-day waiting period to call me back!? So I pull up the Subaru of Santa Monica web site, and book an appointment very easily, in no time flat, with no sass from the front desk.Overall, the customer service at Timmons Subaru of Long Beach was an absolute joke, and Ill never set foot on their property or call their lines for anything ever again. Ill need a new Subaru in a couple years, but I damn sure wont come buy it from Timmons!
Horrible placed a pickup order online last Wednesday never heard back from them but got charged the money then I check today and status still says payment confirmed I requested a refund and they still haven’t gotten back to me
Russel really knows how to help people get a good deal with efficiency. We discussed briefly online and agreed to a guideline price range, then we went over the pricing for 5 minutes before I agreed to sign the contract. Among all the dealerships I have been to, he is the very best cut-to-the-chase salesman. We both saved time and I walked out happy with a good deal and a nice car.

The service at Timmons Subaru is wonderful! I bought my Outback there in 2002, and have had the vehicle serviced there. The service people are kind, considerate, knowledgeable, and caring. I was just there to ready my vehicle for a road trip. Marvin Almeida took good care of my car, and me. There is a new nice lounge, and an outdoor patio area if you need to wait, or they provide a shuttle. Truly a caring business. And at age 82, being cared about is very important.
Had a low tire pressure warning light go off. Didnt know which tire. We took in our Forester the next day without an appointment and their service department (cant recall reps name) immediately took the car to the shop, tech checked the pressure on all tires ( all were reportedly low), and reset the warning light to turn it off. Only took about 20 minutes. Great service! Safety first. Thanks!!
Car buying was made super simple! Chrissy was able to find me the car that met all of my requirements, with a great price too! There was no shady trying to make me buy things that I wouldnt be able to afford, and the process was super smooth! I spent maybe 30 mins tops with the whole thing. Whereas other places have taken hours with me leaving with nothing! Chrissy really went above and beyond and made my experience great. I 100% recommend working with her, because she goes out of her way, to make sure you find what you want and need!
