They did a great job at a fraction of the dealer cost. It was also very timely. People skills are meh but, theyre mechanics and I only care about the work so they dont lose any stars for that.

Quality car repair you can trust. Not the least expensive, but they are extremely knowledgeable and thorough and the price is fair for the excellent service you get.

My 1960 Mercedes 190 SL project car had not traveled 40 miles under its own power in 40 years. I finally finished the restoration, looked beautiful but I could not get it started. After a year trying to start it, I gave up and had it towed to Sterling Service. In short order John had it running great. After sitting so long, a few hours of driving turned up a number of other problems – brakes, speedometer, several leaks and more. John knew where to get the parts and how to fix all of the problems on this 60-year-old classic.At Sterling they have the knowledge, the pricing is reasonable, customer satisfaction is the goal, and my experience tells me that John is the king of ethics in auto repair. Needed a pre-purchase inspection performed on a vehicle and Sterling Service ended up being a great choice. They got the car in promptly and gave it a thorough look...during the debrief all my questions were answered and you can tell these guys know their stuff, particularly when it comes to oil. Overall, recommended.

John once tried to decline working on a car for a friend of mine because he didnt think it was worth it (car was too old and in need of too much). Need I say anymore? We have been going to Sterling ever since our friends that also drive a Porsche recommended them and now they work on ALL of our autos, not just the Porsche. John is a good and honest man and the work done at this shop is amazing. They ALWAYS let us know exactly what our vehicles need and the approximate cost before proceeding and they always finish the work on time or earlier.We really love the fact that they dont just throw in extra this and that so the cost goes up and we also love the fact something else doesnt break on our vehicles within a week or so, like we have had happen with dealerships, repeatedly!I dont get the guy that posted the 1 star. As far as I know, most mechanics cant guess whats wrong with a turbo. Oh well, that guy posts virtually all negatives anyway.Thanks John... Keep up the great work!

Lots of experience, has serviced our older BMW, Porsche and Mercedes Benz cars for years and has allowed us to extend the useful life of each. Very good at prioritizing services needed for budgeting, but repairs on European cars are not inexpensive. Highly recommend for their expertise and professionalism.

Very very honest! Sterling service has had plenty of chances to over charge me, but never has. They have always done excellent work! I have brought them many cars ranging from several Porsches to a Toyota pickup, the work is always done properly with outstanding attention to detail! I have a 1962 Mercedes SL that I have taken to Sterling since moving to Colorado in 1993. The service performed by John and his staff has been of the highest quality I have ever experienced. Johns approach to business is fair and transparent. I highly recommend Sterling to everyone I know who drives a finicky sports car. John will keep the car running better than it ever has. He has done that for me.

John and his team are very knowledgeable and give it to you straight as to what a car needs. They have the skills and experience to diagnose and then solve any car issues, especially the older German cars, Porsches in particular. Cant go wrong here, you get what you pay for, and with Sterling, you get the best.

PRICE GOUGING, SCAMMING SHOP!!!I ONLY went to this shop due to being in dire need of brakes, and not wanting to drive to my normal shop.When I dropped off the car, I told them my turbo was making a noise and asked them what they thought it was.1. They tore apart all the top stuff off my motor and inspected my turbo WITHOUT ASKING ME FOR MY AUTHORIZATION TO DO SO. NOT TO MENTION ANY AUTHORIZATION FOR ANY COSTS FOR IT.2. They did an inspection they billed as, Check Car Complete and Advise. I never authorized a car inspection, nor would I have if they were going to charge me for one, which they did.3. All their prices on all parts were premium pricing, above what you can find on even the most expensive parts websites, as well as the local parts store.The end all bill was $465.32 which included a $150 fuse holder, and $84 in labor. The rest was related to their gouging without authorization.If you are looking for top quality work for your Audi, Porche, VW, or BWM, I would recommend the shop I normally go to, 3Zero3 Motorsports. They have reputable customer service representatives who DO NOT DO WORK WITHOUT THE CUSTOMERS CONSENT, nor charge for inspections that customers didnt request! Also, their work, their free rental car, and top quality alignment is bar none the best I have seen in the area!
