Garrett and Omar were great! I recently bought a used car and I came in for an oil change and found out that I had a bigger issue. They did not try to get me to fix it right then but did sit down with me and walk me through why it needed to be fixed soon. I have a unique car with a Diesel engine and When I asked if they could do it, they were honest and told me they would feel better if I took it to another shop that dealt with cars like mine more. I definitely will be going back to Meineke for my oil changes!!

Me and my wife made an appointment to get our A/C recharged, were told it would take 1.5 hours. 2.5 hours later it was completed. We were told they tested the system and everything worked, so they recharged it. Once recharged, the compressor failed. They quoted us $1,500 to replace the compressor and condenser. We declined, and paid the $170 they charged for the visit (evacuation, diagnosis, recharge). We were told that if we did the replacements ourselves they would evacuate and recharge the Freon for $50. The initial visit, though disappointing, was good.Over a couple weeks, I found an OEM compressor and condenser on my own. My wife called to make an appointment to evacuate the Freon and was told it would be $170 (which includes another full diagnosis/test, which we dont need). I called to explain our situation, and they were unwilling to honor the previously stated price or negotiate a lower price due to our previous visit charges. Ill happily take my business elsewhere. My search for a go-to mechanic will continue I guess.

Everything you want in an Automotive Repair Shop: Honest, Competent, Fair, and Timely. I gave them an impossible mission with a dying car. They did everything I asked and more (in a positive sense). I really appreciate the whole team and feel lucky that if my vehicle had to brake down, it was in their vicinity.

I was charged $155 per $62 rotor. That is price gouging. I got quotes after the fact from 3 other places and they charged around $62 for the same brakebest brand. No where near the $93 price increase per rotor. My car was already up and getting the brake pads replaced at a decent price. Was I supposed to say bring it back down?As I questioned the integrity of the establishment the person working the counter informed me that they liked working there bc they were honest. She said just last week someone got in trouble for telling a customer that an air filter needed replacing when it didn’t. Doesn’t sound honest to me. That’s a $20 part so no big deal but who knows if they didn’t do it for more important harder to determine by the customer repairs? Like brake rotors?I got a call from the owner who defended the high price as a reason for how they keep the doors open but a $93 increase per rotor? Cmon! He said their prices were competitive. They’re not. He then said he’d have to check on why they charged me so much and that he’s out of town and he didn’t know why they would do it. Strange. I then told him about the “air filter” honesty comment from his own employee and he got angry and hung up.It’s my fault for not doing my research before hand and better understanding the prices of brakes but I can assure you that this place is over priced in comparison to other places. I even had them honor a $50 coupon so the price would have been over $150 more than competitors without it. Take your businesses elsewhere and save money and time. And their honesty is in question as well.

My air conditioning stopped working suddenly. I was a walk in and they were able to take my van right in. They drilled down to what the problem was and gave me good advise on how to proceed to fix it. There was absolutely no pressure. While time didn’t allow me to get the van fixed at this location, I certainly would recommend their services to any who are local or passing through. Thanks all!

We drove to Layton to purchase a vehicle and wanted to get a pre-purchase inspection done before we finalized the purchase. Meineke was able to squeeze us in and finished the inspection within 1.5 hrs of us arriving there. They gave us a detailed report with a price estimate of all the things that needed to be maintained or fixed. The staff was professional and polite. I gave them 4/5 stars because the previous owner had recently done a fluid flush which the Meineke tech said needed to be replaced.

Easy to get appointment. I arrived early and they still got me right in. Service was very quick and price very reasonable. This is my new “go to” for oil changes.

Had the A/C recharged and tested. Fast service, explained everything very well. Very personal-able and everyone I dealt with working there are great people. A+ business!!!

We just moved to Utah and I noticed some work that I had done prior to the move was an issue, I stopped by Meineke and they not only diagnosed the problem but they also worked with the auto repair shop from another state to settle the matter at no cost to me. I think they went over and above as well as drove me home so I didn’t have to wait in the shop and they brought my truck to me. They have definitely gained a customer and we will be back, thank you for your great service.

I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. They were very friendly and professional. My daughter and I took a walk to distract her while they were working. I think it took about an hour and a half. They gave me a call to let me know it was finished. Easy peasy. I am disappointed that they charge so much for full synthetic oil when I know it isn’t that expensive to buy having done so myself many many times. If they are charging $40 bucks for a regular oil change it shouldn’t jump to 70 bucks just for full synthetic. It’s only like $6 or $7 per quart at the store. However, I also know that their prices are on par with jiffy lube so while expensive, it was not out of the ordinary. I would definitely recommend and return myself for services. However I’ll probably stop being lazy about oil changes and save myself 60 or so dollars.

Came here to get my sway bar struts breaks and rotors done while the shop had my vehicle they broke a piece off of my door and the owner told me he didn’t feel responsible for fixing that piece that broke off while they had my vehicle under there care. Spoke with the mechanic Omar the day I went to pick up my vehicle Omar said to bring it back the next morning snd they would fix it went back the next day the Owen garret said he didn’t feel responsible to fix the piece but said he was talking to a body shop and he would call me back with in a few hours. Have heard nothing mind you I am here from Missouri visiting my family

I had an appointment at 9AM. Too get my transmission fluid changed in my truck. I wasnt able too pick it up until almost closing time. I thought it took them along time. When I picked it up they were very courteous with me. I was pretty satisfied with their service.

What a hack job. They didnt weld all the joints together most are just a couple of tack welds here and there. And the ones the did do look like a three year did

Fantastic experience. Were from out of town, and our rotors were in bad shape. While Im never excited to dish out money for car repair, Garrett took phenomenal care of us and even helped us out with a ride while our car was being worked on. Id give 6 stars if I could.

Had a radiator blow out at noon, and because they had access to the right fin thickness for my make and model, they had me in and done by close of business. Adding on an ancillary service like replacing belts was easy and quick.

Went for alignment and the manager showed me the test done on my car. My driving is very smooth now. I am happily surprised with the shop they have hot and cold beverages and it doesnt look like a car shop ( super clean) Fair prices comparing with other car shops.I was looking forward to write another review for this shop and give them another 5 stars but google maps does not allow it. I contacted this shop for my vehicle repair and I was greeted warmly on the telephone by the owner. I explained my needs and he listened until I was finished explaining the situation. He promptly replied that his shop could fix the problem. I indicated that I did not want a big expense. He stated that he will diagnose the problem and respond to me with a course of action. Within 2 hours he contacted me indicating the proposed action and the estimated cost. He again telephoned stating the repair was complete at the price which he had stated. No surprises, no up charge! Went in for oil change they told me I needed new windshield wipers I asked why as I put new ones on myself a week ago??? Also told me rear differential was leaking left there went to another shop hoisted truck up and found no signs of leakage. I feel if someone was vulnerable this shop would charge for unnecessary repairs. Beware! Back to Redds oil change I must go (they were closed)

I went in and got their oil change with the multi point inspection (ended up paying about $43). From what I observed they have a two man system, one does the dirty work and gets the oil change done nice and snappy, the other does a very thorough inspection (tires, brakes, fluid levels, check for leaks, check suspension conditions, etc). I was satisfied with my visit, and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. They also do diag and repair work, and from what I have heard they have reasonable pricing and get it done in a reasonable amount of time.

Miserable timing and service, I dropped it off fri afternoon for alignment, oil change and stud replacement and didnt get my truck back until Tue afternoon. Not to mention they did not flush the coolant like I had requested

They work fast they do every little thing I ask (Ill admit Im the male karen) and they do it super friendly lauren and her pops will go out of the way to make sure you leave happy. Brought my friends car in for diagnostic. They not only were fair on that cost. But made sure they put in the time to figure the issue out. Due to jiffy lube putting the wrong sized serpentine belt. There was a whole lot needing repair.They not only got the job done, but were incredibly fair priced. I would definitely recommend this location.

I only went in to get my emmisions done and on the spot renewal for my registration and I am at very high risk to catch covid. The minute I said something to these guys they made sure I knew exactly how safe they would be and they were extremely careful and responsible in making sure that I stayed safe and that they used all safety precautions!! I would recommend these guys to everyone I know who is at high risk!!

My family and I came in from out of town to get some shopping done in the Layton Hills Mall area when a cloud of smoke erupted from our engine. It looked like one of the radiator hoses had burst but I was no mechanic and so we limped the van to meineke. They were super courteous and professional and quickly found the problem. They found a part at a local store and were able to get the cooling system fixed in about an hour. They even rinsed off our engine. We really appreciated them helping us out in an emergency so we could get back on the road.

They got my vehicle into the shop very quickly, and had it back out to me in no time. I was getting an emissions test and registration renewal. Very professional!

Very competitive prices and honest diagnosis. Was suggested a brake fluid flush by a pre vehicle inspection, Garrett checked my vehicle and advised it was fine. He could have easily performed the task and charged me for it.

Update 2/1/2021:I went to get my emissions and inspection done today and was pleasantly surprised by the updates the business has made. They now have a social distancing protocol in place and all of the employees were wearing masks. The service was much better today.All I had to get done was a quick inspection and a brake fluid flush. I made an 8:30 appointment and they didnt even take my car back until 9:30. At 10:00 they told me it was almost ready but I was still waiting there an hour and a half later. They offered to drive me home to wait at 11:30 and I wasnt done with the ordeal until 1 pm because they ran into problems doing the brake fluid flush. It took way too long for them to do the simple things I needed done and I regret wasting my time. I wish I had done the maintenance myself.They were very bad about social distancing, only the customers wore masks.

I’ve been going to the location in Layton, Utah for a few years now. I stumbled on that store by accident, as I’ve never heard anything about the company as a whole other than commercials. But Dan, the manager, is one of the few people I completely trust with my vehicle. I’ll be moving soon, and I hope there is a location nearby. Dan always made sure that I had exactly what I needed, no more - no less! Always polite, professional, always there. You can tell he valued working at the company. Because of him, I will most likely be a customer for life.

The team at Meineke is always very professional and very quick. I’ve never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to have my vehicles taken back to get serviced. They are upfront about what services they are going to provide, and are not pushy about doing additional work. I know when I take my vehicles in to be serviced, it will be done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this location to everyone!

I have used this shop before and on this visit the “technician” managed to slop oil all over the inside of the engine bay, over the bull bar and my bumper as well as on the bumper mounted winch. The oil spots were clearly visible on the firewall, valve cover, battery, air cleaner box and most obviously by the cloud of smoke billowing from the exhaust manifold as it cooked off the oil.The shop made no real attempt to clean it up before turning my vehicle back over to me and it was only when I went back to point out the mess they’d made that they took the time to clean it up.Furthermore, they said they needed to unbolt the oil pan skid plate in order to change the oil, which hasn’t been necessary before. Now I need to crawl under my rig to ensure it’s torqued down and won’t fall off as I’m driving or rock crawling.I won’t be back.

The manager or service person who helped me through this process had excellent communication. He articulate in his thoughts and made me feel as if my vehicle was in good hands the moment I handed him my keys. I appreciate that!

I noticed the oil change trip had not been reset. Tara sent the technician out to my car and in a couple minutes good to go. Outstanding customer service by the crew and thanks for the coffee it was cold outside.

I recently moved to Utah and was really nervous about taking my Jeep in to get an oil change. I know most places dont do a good job but after checking around I decided on Meineke. I set up an appointment around 10AM online for a noon appointment. Took it in and the man at the front desk was incredibly helpful. He told me it would take about half an hour and I went to run errands. About 30 minutes later I received a call that it was finished. I was very pleased with the time although I wasnt in any rush. The total came out to $37.27 which isnt bad. Where I used to take my Jeep in Nevada it was only $25 but either way okay with the cost here. The man did give me a list of recommendations on what I should possibly fix which I thought was nice. Overall, great experience. Would highly recommend.

This was my first time here and I am happy to say it was quite pleasant! The service was prompt and the manager and staff were very well mannered and respectful. They changed my oil and informed me on the items in my car that need attention. The prices were better then I’ve seen around town, coupled with the great service I definitely will be back.

Great, great service. I walked in for a long-overdue oil change and was received warmly by the receptionist in the clean, comfortable waiting room. The techs changed my oil and also did a thorough inspection for other issues, showing concern for my safety as a driver. They caught their own mistakes, voluntarily refunded me for a couple of things, and went out of their way to explain things to me in a way I could understand. I had a great experience there and will certainly be back.

I don’t recommend this place at all. They fixed my air conditioner and work for few weeks. When I take back they said that I have to paid another $300 to fix it. Be careful with them.

I came in for an oil change and instead of pressuring me to do 50 other maintenance jobs on my car they let me know what theyd recommend I do next Time I visit on my way out. It was nice to feel like more than just a pay check

The guy at the front desk was not friendly at all, and he was also my mechanic. He was by far way worse as a mechanic. We went into get a safety emission inspection done, and he just saw the car, and told us this car failed inspection due to your straight pipe muffler, and CO2 sensors all the way to the moon!!!! This the way he wrote in the inspection report. totally faked! Car muffler is loud, but not straight pipe at all. Guy never even inspect the car, but just because I’m a Latino, he thinks we don’t speak the language or understand any of the rules. I really don’t recommend this place to any one, and special to anybody who is a Latino. Reason why we took this car here is because we move from Logan to Layton, and we didn’t know where else to take the car. Then a friend referred us to another mechanic, and car pass safety emission with no problem. This other mechanic took a good 10-15 minutes doing the inspection in my car. Not like the guy from Meineke the took like two minutes to just write a report saying car had failed, and then even say we can fix whatever is wrong with your car because he know nothing was wrong with it. Like I say I highly not recommend this place to any one!!!

I had a 50% off coupon for brakes. I knew the discount was for brake pads only. I thought I was saving $110 over the dealership. Turns out the quote from the dealership included machining the drums and Meineke’s did not. When I found out how much machining the drums cost at the dealership and backed it out I was actually paying $130 more at Meineke than at the dealership for the same service - with a 50% off brake pads coupon!

Was not happy with this place went in to get an estimate and there were three employees standing around joking and looked right at me and did/said nothing I wanted for ten minutes finally someone that was pulling someones car around acknowledge me and asked me if I had been helped. I said no. He said okay, give me just aminute let me check this person out and I will be right with you.

I got an oil change. The people here were very kind and bent over backwards to get me in and out quickly.
