Somewhat accommodating, most of the inside staff seem constantly in a negative mood shining through to serve your needs. Very specific vehicles are mainly welcomed here with the occasional plain vehicle. Japanese Car Services is there when other places cant legally touch, or encourage other services.

I have used these guys twice and found them to be very honest and reasonable in pricing. No needless repairs or inflated billing ( in fact each time I was there they came under the cost that was estimated. Do yourself a favor and try these guys out.

We were traveling to Vegas from another state when our transmission gave out. We made it but had to find a mechanic. This was a scary situation because we weren’t sure how long this was going to take let alone if we could find a mechanic we could trust. We were incredibly lucky to have found this mechanic. They were so wonderful - they found a used transmission for a reasonable price and fixed it. We made it home and everything worked beautifully. We would highly recommend them!

I’ve been going here for several years, and I’ve never felt like a priority. This last visit was the last straw. It took exactly one month for the repairs to be completed, after several weeks of hearing, “it’ll be ready in the morning.” “Actually, the end of the day.” “Actually, the end of the day tomorrow.” “Maybe tomorrow morning.” When I finally picked it up, the car wouldn’t start, because the battery was dead, something they knew but neglected to tell me. They told me they were having trouble starting it, but never told me I had a dead battery. It wasn’t dead when I brought it in, but the woman behind the counter was completely cold and unhelpful, “Batteries die!” she shrugged. Aloof, slow, incomplete service. Never returning. I would recommend avoiding at all costs.

Excellent service! I took my 2001 Subaru here for 8 years. It had a lot of miles and a lot of problems over the years and I was always very pleased with the repair work, ease of getting an appointment, time it took to repair, and cost. The staff are really helpful and nice folks. Over the years they recommended I get a newer vehicle. When I purchased a lemon from a dealer they coached me on how to take it back and get reimbursed. Now, with a new Toyota, I havent been in for awhile, but I trust these guys and recommend them to everyone!

These guys do really amazing work. They’re totally up front and honest, they sure as heck won’t sell you anything that isn’t totally necessary and they truly care about you and your vehicle. Not to mention it’s at a price you can’t beat, especially considering the quality of work. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend them, I drive all the way from Boulder City to them and it’s well worth it!The one thing I would change is the completion date communication. I’d rather be told it’s gonna be a few days longer than I hoped over thinking I’ll have my car for the weekend but then not have it :/ Really tho, it’s a small thing that won’t stop me taking my vehicle here every time! I own two Nissan and a Toyota, this is the only place I take them for oil changes. They always used O.E.M. parts and I have been pleased with the service every time.

Very poor communication skills. Too many people relaying information without proper thorough communication. I asked to have my ac and fan fixed. I was quoted first 3 to 4 hundred then the guy writes an estimate for 540 i ask why when quoted 150 less. The owner takes 40 bucks off great much appreciated. I wait 5 hours in their waiting room to be told the ac will be a whole separate job i was shocked i asked why when i explained to 3 people including the owner my ac did not work. Any way i do not recommend this place shop around and find a place that appreciates your business.

I will not be going back here. I had brought my car in for a routine oil change and when I brought it home I discovered it had started leaking oil. I called them to see if I could bring it back so they could fix it since they just did an oil change, to which they responded with an attitude and told me that I could either bring it in and theyll get to it when they can, or I could make an appointment 2 days from when I called which was their earliest available appointment. Thoroughly unimpressed with their lack of understanding to fix a problem they created, I took my car to a different mechanic and found out they had completely stripped the plug and didnt even bother to put the washer on. I dont know about you but I dont trust a mechanic that cant even do an oil change right...

Brought my Kia in due to alignment issues and rattling noises for the left side, hoping it wasnt a big job or control arm issues. Gener actually came on a test ride (twice) to figure out the noise problems and figured out it was just cracked rim covers! Removed the wheel cover... problem solved!! Charge for the service? $0.00 . Yup! Nothing! He actually squeezed me in having a full schedule and sent me on my way👍. Although, he didnt have time to check my alignment until tomorrow at 1pm, Im already satisfied with this HONEST mechanic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The girl at the front desk (in the office, which is not at the front of the building) was so easy-going. They helped me get back on the road, suggested some services I opted not to get, but in the end, it was a very straightforward part replacement, and some valuable diagnostics regarding whats down the repair road for my car.

I have a 1993 Isuzu Trooper long overdue for service and had trouble finding a repair shop what wanted to deal with it. Japanese Car Service agreed to see what I needed, ordered the parts and took their time to do the repairs properly. When the work was completed, they called me. When I arrived the owner made sure that I saw all of the old parts and explained the defects found. He even told me what was not needed and what checked out OK.The entire staff had uniforms, were courteous, the shop was clean, and they were busy so obviously they have a lot of dedicated customers. The charges were reasonable for the high quality of the work being done. Mr. Riel, the owner said that the engine was good for another 100,000 miles. This is definitely the place to take your car for superior service.

I got qouted for 2.5k just for the AC alone at a different auto shop, this place did the AC, broken actuator, starter and air intake for 1k!! very nice people, honest and kept me updated the whole time they had my car. don’t go anywhere else and waste ur time and money! thank u guys for everything.

My experience was exceptional! I hired their services as my mode of transportation to and from the airport while I was in Las Vegas. I absolutely refuse to deal with the long taxi lines and long hauling there! Paul, my driver, was awesome! He sent me a text notifying me when and where he would be meeting me upon my arrival. The owner of this shop is a great guy. Honest mechanics in this town are not easy to find, and this man is one of the few Ive talked to in any city Ive been to. My experience with his staff and him personally were great.He knows what hes talking about, and is forthright in his assessments of what he sees. His mechanics and him work on many different types of cars, not just Japanese imports. Definitely look this place up.

Japanese Car Service provided the most honest car repair service I have ever received. I am from out of town and my air conditioner hose was leaking. I took my car to a dealership in Phoenix and they estimated about $500 to fix it. While I thought it was being fixed they called me and said that the compressor was broken because of the blown tube and said it would now be $2000 for just the compressor. But they didnt really explain to me what was going on so I left the dealership and decided to wait to get it fixed.Turns out I ended up moving to Las Vegas where I would need my air conditioning for the summer. A friend recommended Japanese Car Service and I couldnt be happier. I took my car in, they checked it out and actually took me into the shop and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. They concluded that I did need a new compressor and hose and also a new water pump (which the dealership hadnt even noticed) and estimated it around $1200 for all of this! They searched for a cheaper compressor than the $2000 one and got me one for $650. And since the water pump was in the same area as the compressor, they didnt charge me extra for the additional labor to replace it. Before and after fixing it, they took 10 minutes to explain and show me everything they did and why it was necessary. I have never gotten this type of service from a dealer, probably because they usually overcharge you for service and dont want you to realize it.I would highly recommend Japanese Car Service to anyone wanting an honest and helpful car repair experience. They will try to get you the best and honest deal. I will definitely be visiting them the next time something goes wrong with my car!
