We were on the road when our truck’s rear wheel started making a strange noise. Another shop diagnosed it as a wheel bearing but didn’t have time to fix it. The guys at All Terrain worked hard to get the parts and replace the rear wheel bearing—no simple task—the same day so we could get back on the road. They went the extra mile to help us out!

On our way to Angel Fire NM and had a brake caliper come loose Friday afternoon at 5:00. Luckily I got in touch with All Terrain Transmission. They waited until we could limp into the lot. They were able to work on it and check it all out. Excellent service! Our transmission light came on while pulling our trailer late afternoon to the Storrie Lake Campground. Miguel got us promptly scheduled the next day 8:30 am and All Terrain Transmissions got us quickly back on the road again to Colorado. We highly recommend this place! Plus, we learned from Miguel all the best camping and fishing spots in NM!

Took my vehicle in for a last minute oil change and the staff was able to fit me in with no problem. Service was complete in a timely manner and I was notified of services I may need to address in the future. I never felt pressured into having services done that werent planned. I will be returning to have the recommend services done on my next trip to Las Vegas. Traveling two hours to have my vehicle repaired by a shop I trust is well worth the trip.

The men working in this place are very kind....With that being said, they also lack time management skills, communication skills, and basic knowledge of how to repair a vehicle. They kept my vehicle for a week and half and did not fix the problem! But they surely found an “issue” to fix. But even at that, it took DAYS to diagnose, thus running up the labor charge. When I called to check on the vehicle, I was never given a definite answer, even went a person a few times and was turned away with no answer. When the car was finally returned to me, they advised they found ANOTHER problem. Which would cost another diagnostic charge to find it and any other fees associated. Needless to say I didn’t accept their offer to keep my car any longer. After taking my car to a different repair facility, they found the cause of my complaint in under 10 minutes. Yet it took them 10 DAYS to NOT find it and rectify the issue. I praise their ability to make a first impression, but their skills of the profession are non existent. Please don’t waste your time or money here. What a waste.

I recently took my vehicle to All Terrain transmissions To have my brakes serviced. The staff was extremely professional, the information they provided about what was needed on my vehicle was very understandable, and I was provided with a courtesy inspection on my vehicle! Not only did the brakes come out amazing, and the vehicle feels 100% better, but the inspection that I was provided also gave me a great snapshot on future maintenance that my vehicle will need. I will definitely bring my vehicle back when the time comes for repairs or maintenance!

Brought my car to perform an oil change end up with a double price about $95 compared to the promotion price (like $40) at the beginning they told me. They tried to convince me to change my brake pads and stated that it is necessary and urgent (showed me the color indicator saying it was yellow closed to red), asking about $450 for brake pad x 2 with labor. I took my car to jiffy lube and they said the pads still doing good and I dont need to change it at this point (color indicator is still green closed to yellow). Absolutely ripped off and unprofessional! Dont know why they got positive reviews; it may be because they only target travelers/customers who have not much knowledge of the car. If you are one of the groups I mentioned, stay away from them!

These guys ruined a simple job of the result of a stolen key, and one month later did not even start on the job, that was 100% paid by Geico insurance. After 2 months they then refused to do a simple ignition replacement or key reprogramming and billed the insurance and bullied me to tow it and charged the insurance storage fees. My inurace declared my van a total loss due to these junkyard dogs.

On our way to California from Minneapolis, we experienced a possible engine issue in our Hyundai Tucson while pulling a small U-haul trailer. We identified the code error using an Autozone fix finder in Las Vegas NM. Unsure of the seriousness, we found All Terrain Transmission and after some discussion we reluctantly left the car and the trailer at the shop over the weekend hoping that the service folks could identify the issue the following Monday. The staff was courteous and empathetic to our situation. They even delivered us to our motel across town. After finding a U-haul office in Sante Fe on Sunday, we decided to rent a 10 truck with a car transport. We called All Terrain and asked that they not perform the service and that we would pick the up the car and trailer and opt for our new towing option. They were very gracious and helped re-attach our trailer. We offered to pay for the convenience of keeping the vehicles in their yard but they declined. We felt very fortunate to have met the folks at All Terrain.

We brought our jeep in to All Terrain on November 17th, 2020. One of the owners, Manny, assured us that we would be charged no more than our deductible and the cost of an oil change. Four months later, March 16th, 2021 we finally got our jeep back after the insurance we had paid over $7000, and we had to borrow the other $2465.11 before we could get it back. This repair facility is predatory and a major rip off, not to mention dishonest. Stay away from All Terrain Transmission!

My pickup broke down in Las Vegas. We blew a sparkplug. We were out of towners and they tried to rip us off. They tried to charge me over $1000. My usual mechanic called them and questioned their charges. They made excuses, said some things were wrongly added to the estimate, and couldnt justify the charges. I took my truck to another repair shop in Las Vegas and they charged me $200 and I am extremely happy with that company. Dont trust All Terrain!

Manny and staff did detailed diagnostics so we were not just throwing parts at the problem. Found specific issue with fuel filter.Large bays for RVs. Driving from Georgia to California and my gears started sticking and becoming very difficult to shift into. This was the closest transmission place, so I called them up. Sounded knowledgeable on the phone. When I got there, the shop was very nice. Clean and comfortable, very professional-friendly staff and mechanics. They worked me in and had me rolling again same day. Prices were fair and overall a really good experience for having transmission trouble halfway through a cross-country move. Highly recommended, will not disappoint. If I lived in the area they would be my go-to mechanics.

Our car broke down on the way to go snow skiing with our entire family on Friday after everything was closed. These guys went to get our car, drove it around and gave us their expert advice without charging us a dime. If you ever need help, these guys are trustworthy, honest and know their stuff!

This place is magical. My beetle was hurdling through town with a clip that was missing. It was causing me issues on my drive back to colorado. They were quick friendly and helped me out tremendously in a time of need. Id drive here just to get work done, time and time again. I highly recommend coming here with car issues as youll be treated with respect.

A fantastic example of what a good, honest mechanic should be. Manuel is direct and honest about your vehicles problems and what it will take to fix them. He assisted me in many ways with what turned out to be a dead car as I traveled back to Albuquerque from Denver. If I didnt live a hundred-ish miles away this would be my go to auto shop.

Had a emergency with a radiator leak on a saturday in my rav 4 and steve got me in quickly. They did excellent job with lifetime warranty radiator. Work and parts werent cheap but i know i wont have to return.Ii do they will take care of me This is a high end professional shop in a small town. I see some of reviewers are out of town and i think they expect lower prices or cut rate work. They even offer $50 synthetic oil change. Almost cheaper for me to let them do it.In this town and all others in the world is always a tree with shade from it on every corner with a half as$&, mechanic sitting under it waiting to “make you a great deal”. Wished some of the negative reviewers would have tried those first. Quality repair with good parts and warranties cost money period.Look at the Cleanliness and order in the shop. Place has to be spotless to do transmission repair. Luckily general repair follows suit.I am an ase master engine rebuilder and i take my maintenance issues to them. As a community we are lucky to have them.

I HIGHLY recommend All Terrain Transmissions! I broke down on the interstate, and the tow truck driver from AAA recommended them highly- They took very good care of me, and squeezed me in on a very busy Friday to try to get me back on the road as soon as possible. They repaired multiple issues on my vehicle, and went above and beyond to insure I would be safe on the road as I had an additional 600 miles left on my trip. I even got a followup call a few days later to check on my well being, and make sure I had arrived safely to my destination, and that I had not had any further issues with my vehicle. Cannot thank them enough for every thing they did for me :)

Back on the road thanks to All Terrain Transmissions! We had a squeeling wheel problem as we were to take off on the freeway at 7am. We turned back into town, and found ATT at 8am. Were full-time RVers and had an issue with our towed car when we got to Las Vegas, NM, Wednesday afternoon. We found All Terrain Transmissions and Steve immediately diagnosed the problem. He ordered the necessary parts, referred us to a car rental agency, and, by the close of business Thursday, our car was back in operating order! Steve told us they try to accommodate travelers as much as possible. Thank you Steve and All Terrain for getting us back on the road so quickly!

All Terrain Transmissions is fantastic! Our F-350 broke down on a trip from NM to CO and Steve Montano the owner took great care of us. He got us in first thing in the morning and his team assessed the situation right away. Knowing that we were stranded, he pushed his guys to get it done and even though the shop closes at 5PM, they stayed until 8PM to get the job done (and done right). Steve is a friendly, caring professional who will take good care of you. He took the time to drive me back to my hotel so I didnt have to sit in his waiting area all day. After the repair was done and I made it home to Colorado Springs, he called me to make sure that everything was OK. I highly recommend All Terrain Transmissions for all of your car repair and maintenance needs.

Good, honest service. Some people complain about the cost, or the time it may take to do some work. But as a DIY home mechanic, I will tell you, sometimes the work is not easy, and that is the reason you pay for labor. If it were easy, you would probably do it yourself.

Our new to us class a winnebago broke down on hwy 25. We thought it was the transmission. These guys at All Terrain did an amazing job they got us back on the road in one day. It wasnt the transmission but they found the problems, fixed them and test drove for over 18 miles. Manuel took a lot of time to teach us and paid attention to many extra things, from adjusting mirrors to cleaning windshield. He even gave us a follow up call to make sure we made it over Raton pass.We must also give the glory to God for guiding us to the right people to get the job done. Thank you!

If you want to get ripped off this is the place for you. I paid for a new battery that died a month later and he tried overcharging me. Never did find out what was wrong with my car after he kept it for a month and then he still tried to charge me for parts I didnt need.

Great customer service, very thorough, fair prices, and no surprises.

A lesser quality gasket was used by technicians on the transmission pan. Also, three hard to reach pan bolts were left only hand tight. Because of the shoddy work, transmission leaked over time. I recently took my truck to a professional mechanic to fix the issues left by all terrain transmission. Very expensive lesson.

Absolutely five stars! My wife and I broke down in Oct 17 on our way to Las Cruces from Colorado on a very important business trip, and Steve saved our bacon!! Our Chevy van, which had previously hit a deer and received a very expensive Chevy dealership repair in Canon City, (over 4 grand) dumped the oil three hours from the dealership while passing through Vegas. No rental trucks available, and 3:30 in the afternoon, it seemed like certain doom. The amazing folks at All Terrain Transmissions got us patched up with a temp fix, and back on the road by 5, even though the right parts were not even available! Their temp fix went on to hold like a champ for the next three months, while the dealer fix held three hours! These guys are badasses. Thanks, All Terrain Transmissions!

Had to change to 1 star... Worst place Ive ever dealt with. Theyre obviously getting too old to be doing transmissions. Simple BASIC things are always left loose or put wrong. I have had so many problems with this location i cant even name everything! They only seem to take care of the travelers because once they leave out if state, they can just get it fixed at another location and he wont have to deal with them again.. Would never recommend.. They will burn you!

This was my worst experience with car repairs ever. We broke down and had our van towed 97 miles to go to this AAA recommended garage. Not only did it take a day longer than they estimated (2.5 hours initially ended up to really be SEVEN hours later), Manuel kept increasing the price based on things he forgot to include in his initial estimate. The final bill ended up $100 more than the estimate he had me sign to approve. He took way longer diagnosing the fuel pump problem, which we knew going in was the problem, then charged an additional $100 for the diagnostic work, even though we had committed to having the work completed at his shop. In our area, the garages only charge for diagnostic services if you dont get the work done with them. He added an additional $60.74 fee for shop supplies, which includes all kinds of grease, wiping cloths, glass cleaner, welding materials, oxygen, etc. None of which were used on our repair. Since when is this an additional fee?? Isnt that part of providing the service that a garage provides?? An electrician doesnt charge extra when he has to use his tools or electrical tape. The most appalling thing, however, was the gross inflated price of the fuel pump. Weve replaced these in other vehicles, and a top, high-end fuel pump might cost $350. Manuel charged us $475, and for a pump that does NOT include a lifetime warranty. When we asked him about the discrepancy, his answer was, and I quote, retail prices are just made up prices, so anyone can say anything. Whaaat? I would say, if you are unfortunate enough to need car repairs in Las Vegas, New Mexico, steer clear of All Terrain Transmission, no matter what. Your wallet will thank you.

I took my motorhome in to have the engine replaced under warranty due to repeated over heating, constant coolant loss, and burning oil. The ASE master mechanic Steve told me there was nothing wrong with the engine. He said that it needed a fan clutch, electronic temp sensor and pcv valve. He charged me close to $500 for this. These did not solve any problems!!! Now, two months later in Las Vegas, NV my engine is being replaced under warranty for the reasons given above that became worse after his work. I politely asked for a refund, but was not given it. He is a LIAR, THIEF and CON!!!

I got stranded in Las Vegas due to a blown head gasket. These guys busted their humps and really took care of me, even working with the local motel to get me a discounted rate and late check out on the last day. Definitely recommended.
