This is my second time renting a unit from this location.Edit: after a few weeks here there are constantly moving trucks and people who solely block entire main entry points. I understand people have to move but there is no courtesy or signs in place not to block the elevators or entry doors for one persons use

Extra Space Storage is simply put the nicest storage facility I have ever used. I am renting a unit in Lakewood, west of Denver. It is incredibly clean, well lit, and climate controlled. The management team there is incredibly nice and helpful. I would recommend them to anybody who needs storage.

Although I chose this business over several othet nearby choices because they offered the best deal, just a few months later they sent a message that the monthly fee was increasing by nearly 50%! Ive never heard of a business doing that so quickly after sucking you in to the great offer.

I have been a long time Extra Space client and recently made my permanent move back to Colorado. I just secured a unit at the Lakewood location and worked with Shannon and she is one of the best if not the best I had ever encountered in my long history of renting storage locations. She is professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the property. The building seemed very new and very very clean. I am excited to be renting here.

I have rented from Extra Space Storage since 10/2020. I have never had a storage unit and never thought I would need one. Due to life changes had to get one. I found ESS and I am so grateful I did. This place is clean and secure, which was a fear of mine. I wanted to ensure my belongings were safe. Ive appreciated ESS from the beginning. I have no idea how many locations they have, and would encourage anyone looking for storage to look into ESS. As I drive to work at the hospital at the crack of dawn, their green lighted building reminds me of my safe, clean and secure storage space. We had a hic up in billing one time and Julie at the location was sensitive of the financial burden of the mistake and worked with urgency to resolve it. I am moving my belongings out of storage (not needed anymore) and I appreciate this storage place. I would highly recommend EXTRA SPACE STORAGE for anyone needing some extra space.

Every contact I have had with the Lakewood Extra Space has been very positive. After reserving a unit on line, I was called the next morning to confirm. The girls in the office are fabulous, nothing like my previous experience at another storage company. Extra Space storage is a very clean facility inside and out and that helped ease my anxiety about storing my belongings. These gals were very welcoming, they showed me the unit I would have, explained the various features and gave me the code for access. On the day we moved my household goods into the unit, everything went smoothly. I certainly recommend this storage facility and compliment the office staff.

New building that you need a code to get into. Has a garage door you can open after entering your code to access the building and has pallets on wheels and an elevator to move your stuff to your storage unit.

Very friendly service, great pricing especially if booking online, and easy. Even with new protocols they have in place for the virus they still made it as easy as possible, if anything it may have been faster booking my unit this way. Offered insurance packages and helped me determine the best fit and offered lock purchase onsite.

The new remote leasing process is very easy, and Shannon is still fabulously helpful!2019 review: I just moved out of my storage unit here (I’ve finished condensing my stuff after a move), and it was a great experience from start to finish! Shannon was very friendly & helpful during my rental. The facility is clean & well-cared for, & my stuff was well protected during its sojourn. I moved the last piece (a big futon) out on Sunday, and got so distracted by the attempt to carry said futon into a friend’s 3rd floor walk-up that I forgot to contact Extra Space Storage to let them know I’d vacated my unit. But the manager noticed I’d removed my lock and called me the next day to ask if I’d moved out and if they should close my account so I didn’t keep getting billed. Thank you for a great storage experience! You have fabulous customer service.

Ok, so Ive been utilizing self storage for the past twenty years. I have rented with the big companies down to the mom and pop stops for my storage needs. Ive been robbed. Ive been scammed. Ive been threatened. Ive been auctioned. I would say I know what to look for in a facility and have mastered the art of packing a unit storage Tetris... In my experience Extra Space has been the kindest most professional and accommodating company to do business with. The most recent example would be, what u already know, storing during covid. I currently have 2 storage units, one with public storage and one with extra space. Well, being on shelter in place status, I unfortunately lost my job. I was late with my payment and needed a break. Well, guess who was the only place that worked with me? U guessed it, Extra Space. The lady was super nice and assured me that everything was fine and assured me that I wouldnt lose my stuff to auction. She even stated that they had a whole suite of options to keep my family and my possessions including waiving the late fees and accepting partial payment plan. Well, guess who tried to auction my belongings? Public storage not only tried to sell all our stuff in an auction during a global pandemic but, had the nerve to act as if though the world was normal, everything was okay, and it was going to be business as usual during a global pandemic. They wouldnt waive any fees, replace the lock they destroyed. Apologize for being insensitive and indifferent to the global crisis. Look bottom line is, if you need a safe secure and reliable place to store you belongings, go with extra space. Youll be glad you did.

I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for storage options. For me it was the closest unit I could find and was alittle intimidated by having to temporarily move a 3 bedroom house into storage on the 3rd floor but the elevators and amenities here made it quick and easy. We were able to get the unit filled in under a day. Shannon in the office was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in selecting a unit and making the lease easy and the costs clear.

I needed to store some things during a home remodel and Extra Space was cheaper than the other storage unit I had during the first phase of the project. My unit has a door that opens along the entire length of the 5x10 space, which makes it really easy to put stuff inside. Its all indoors, which is nice, too. My other unit always had leaves and dirt in it and was messy getting to in the winter.Did I mention its right next to a brewery?

Shannon was awesome! She not only took care of our reservation but did it quickly (even when changing our minds) did it with a great attitude, and a sense of humor! Id recommend this location only on our customer service but in addition this location has great pricing, very clean, oddly it smells good, organized, and feels secure. Thank you Shannon!!!
