O.T. the owner, is an awesome guy and genuinely cares about each individual job. Top of the line work for a good price is hard to find but its here! Customer service is great, they will tell it like it is, no sugar coating which is very important when it comes to mechanics! You wont ever over pay here or pay for anything unnecessary. I made an appt. through Ryan to have the brakes replaced on my Silverado. I had all the parts and informed him to replace everything I had parts for. After getting my Silverado home and inspecting it I found that the pin boots were not replaced. When I called and talked to Ryan he said he thought we talked about not replacing them. Then he said they only replace them if they are bad then he said it took a lot of time and they had to be pressed on. He offered for me to bring it back in and he would replace them. I initially said yes but after thinking about it I dont want him working on my rig. Im having some guys from my Chevy club come over this weekend and look at the brakes to make sure everything is in good working order.

I worked on my own vehicle. He fixed it. Just got back from a camping trip towing with confidence.

After encountering a strange problem in our Jeep Grand Cherokee late one night on a drive, the owner of this shop was able to get us in there to fix the problem the very next morning. He told us that we had a pinhole leak in our radiator, and that he was able to fix it quickly and for a very low price. While he was working on it, he also discovered some other issues that we had no idea about, and he gave us clear instructions on how to fix it ourselves, so that we could save some extra money. He was very helpful, understanding, and he did the job properly. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

I just moved to Colorado in Dec 2018, and obviously needed a new mechanic. Always find a great mechanic when you move, my dad used to tell me. Well I did, on the second try. OT got me in the same day, fixed it for a great price, and even identified other troubles (that I trust did exist because I bought the car from a Used Car Dealer). My check engine light came on right after leaving, so I called OT. He had me bring it back in, thinking it was just water on the plugs from him cleaning my engine, so he could take a look. He was right...but the point is, he cleaned my engine. Then he noticed another light. My license plate bulb was out. He replaced it on the spot, no charge. I will definitely be calling this place home for my car repairs.

Took my car here to fix a slow oil drip. He called and said in addition to three oil leaks, the ball joints were so bad that he wouldn’t drive it down the street; said the wheels could wiggle back and forth freely. Total cost would be $3000. Something didn’t feel right, so I came to get the car; the guy working tried to wiggle the wheels, and they were totally solid. I took the car to another shop, and the guy there said my ball joints were in great shape; he fixed the two (not three) oil leaks for a few hundred.

They were very helpful from the phone call, all the way to me leaving the lot in my car. They got me an appointment fast and had me back on the road in a day, and I had a good amount of work that needed to be done. I never felt pressured into anything, and the guys I met all seemed really nice. Im definitely gonna be taking my jeep in for all of its repairs in the future.

My coworkers 2010 g6 had a major wheel issue on his way to work. Working nightshift we left in the morning to find a shop and ended up at five star. The hub was destroyed. Five Star gave us solid suggestions for repair and was able to get a fresh hub/wheel bearing installed in less than a couple hours. My coworker was very happy. Very professional shop would recommend.

OT is awesome! He fixed our Envoy and the check engine light never came back on. We took it to 3 other places had work done on it and the light kept coming back. He is very personable and actually shows the true meaning of a non corporate shop. Prices are great and he has our loyalty. After doing a fabulous job on our personal vehicle we also now take our company vehicle there as well. Looking forward to bringing more family and friends to his shop for business instead of having them ripped off by other shops. Would I recommend this establishment? Heck yes 100% without a doubt.

OT and his staff have worked on two Dodge trucks for me. One needed some transmission work and the other one needed some bolts replaced on the exhaust manifold. They stay true to their quote that have been given to me for both trucks. They are always friendly and have a smile. Which you dont see at many places these days. They have my business if I ever need more work done.

When rating a AAA service I am asked a few questions: Where they clean? Yes. Where they knowledgeable? Yes. Where they friendly? Yes. Where they prompt? Yes. Though this was not a AAA service I thought of these standards when thinking of my experience at Lakewood Five Star Auto. They met AAA standards in my opinion. They put my vehicle in the bay and started work right away. My repairs were done quickly and my truck was ready the next day.

Five Star and OT in particular were very helpful, kind and thorough. They were able to get my Mitsubishi Evo fixed promptly when I was in a pinch. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Called last min to do a job on front upper control arm and strut, he fit me in and gave me a fair price OT is very nice and awesome! I recommend anyone to this place that owns a Jeep!

Took my car there a few weeks ago to have the brakes looked at. After checking them he told me I needed all new rotors and pads, and new tie rods. Said it could be done in 3 hours, for 1500 DOLLARS!!! Told him no thanks, he got upset. After he put the tires back on, my brakes were worse. Took it to my normal mechanic, half the work was actually needed and it was $300. Would never go to this guy again. My mechanic thinks 5 star loosened my tie rods then showed me how loose they were.

My brakes burned out in the mountains, and I stumbled across this mechanic while on vacation, and he took good care of me. Gave me a deal, took me into the shop to show me exactly what else was wrong with it (bleeding calipers, warped rotors) before I gave him the OK. Put two of his guys on the one job to get it done in less than two hours. Best mechanic Ive had. Takes pride in what he does and is honest.

The owner is a bigot and racist.His charactershould be called out for what he is. Plus, he will charge more to minority customers. Please be very careful of this business. Dont let all the stars for the place fool you.

Wow. I finally got the money together to put some preventative maintenance into my 2003 Toyota Tacoma, and I am glad I went to 5 star. I needed the timing belt replaced, and I knew I should get other things done at the same time. Bill came to $1700. I was willing to put in the money because I will not break down. They showed me all the old parts - The water pump was leaking as well. I drive 750 miles a week for my work. It was worth it.

OT is extremely efficient and experienced in all types of cars, even German. I brought him my M235i to have some complex drivetrain work done and not only did he finish the work in the space of a couple of hours, he answered all of my questions and concerns immediately.

This is an example of a great neighborhood hole-in-the wall jewell. OT owns the shop. We have had OT do a lot of work on our 04 Toyota Sienna van over the last 6 years. Timing belt, brakes, tune-up, ... glass replacement - over 100K miles (and consequential service) has been put on this vehicle during the time that OT had been servicing it. We recently had him do a pre-purchase inspection for an 06 Nissan Murano that we bought. We had him do brakes, shocks and transfer case leak on that car. We trust his judgment on what the cars need in terms of repair in support of keeping the cars working well for a long time. We anticipate keeping both cars until around 250K miles each, and we trust that his sevice will help us to keep these cars running well that long.
