Had to get repairs for my vehicle after an accident. Work needed to get completed ASAP since I was moving out of state soon. I let them know and everything was fixed on time.Every conversation over phone and in person was very professional. The building lobby has lots of fun character. Also, I brought in my car VERY muddy and dirty, and it was returned washed and the floor mats were washed as well. Just bring your car here

Car enthusiasts beware. This shop is not for you. The name of the shop is a little misleading because I highly reccomend never taking anything with an Exotic body here. I will try and keep it short and sweet and spare you from reading paragraphs.I have proof that this shop lied to me on multiple occasions about parts orders, estimated completion times (off by months, not weeks), and paint work issues. The front desk is either extremely disconnected from whats actually going on or just lies about things on purpose.The Paint:The owner hid things about a bumper I supplied to him from me just so he could cash the check for paint and have me go through the headache of attemptting to fix it afterwards (its much harder to fix fiberglass after its been painted). He directly told me he knew the bumper did not fit but opted to hide that information from me and painted it anyway, hardening them and forcing me to not only repair them, but repaint them. I know this because I specifically asked the shop to line up the front fenders and bumper before painting to make sure it all fits. Although they kept prolonging this not telling me that they werent even able to do it until I picked my car up. The parts I gave them were not cheap, they took my very rare parts from Varis Japan worth over $6,000 and treated them like second class garbage with sub par at best paintwork. I specifically told them after they had already failed to meet deadlines time and time again just to take their time and do it right but they couldnt. The paint was incredibly thin and started chipping from the edges almost immediately aswell as many imperfections just to begin with.Metal Body repair:They used quite a bit of bondo on my quarter panel to I assume fix the sub par sheet metal work while simultaneously scuffing and ruining my window molding.The customer service:You might aswell just roll a magic 8 ball on if what they actually say is true or notReally wish I spent the multiple thousand dollars I spent here elsewhere. Dont make the same mistake I did.Update: the car has barely moved ~10 miles since I picked it up around 6 months ago but the door locks has ALREADY failed on the door they repaired just by sitting there...

I cannot speak highly enough of Jim and his team. My Jeep needed a full front end rebuild post-accident & I was on a time crunch. Entire team was welcoming and professional, I felt fully educated throughout the entire process, and they went out of their way to source needed extra aftermarket parts locally to ensure I was up and running on time. 10/10 would recommend.

Took my Ford Escape in on Monday and picked up today. Awesome work! Plus they detailed the inside and everything looks new. This place is fantastic from customer service to the guys in the shop. The best part is Delilah! If your vehicle needs work this is the place to go.....

I had some hassle to do with a lease trade-in and Jim was able to get the vehicle back to me under budget and under time of what another shop quoted. When there was hassle with the dealership, Jim bent-over-backwards because of confusion that his repair didnt come out right. It seems like this is a business built on a genuine passion for cars. I dont know what one could ask for out of a business that does body work.

Amazing shop and people. Jim, Heidi, Valerie, and Stewart went above and beyond to repair my C7 Z06 Corvette. I had purchased from out of state and the transport company (Sophistic Transport, LLC - Stay away from them!), wrecked my dream car. The driver had tipped the trailer and progressive insurance was trying to skimp on a 70K+ vehicle. Asking the shop if they could simply put some bondo and patch the quarter panel. The accident was 100% on the transport company and the insurance was even worse to deal with. Jim and team pushed back and ensured the vehicle was repaired correctly and not patched together. They went through the entire process of ensuring the frame was correct, aligned and fixed everything. When I received the car from them it drove better than new and the repairs done were flawless. I cannot thank the team over at Exotic Bodies enough!!!

Update... I picked up my car this past Saturday from Jim. Let me tell you, I am in love with the car again! I have never had a car redone, my expectations were high. Jim & the techs went well above those expectations! I have never been so happy over a car. Yes, it took a while to complete, but the wait was well worth it. They tore the car apart, fixed all the dents, prepped, primed, painted & put her all back together. Jim & the guys were so nice with us. They let us take pictures of the progress & always took the time to talk with us. If you want a car redone, Jim is your guy! I wont go anywhere else! Thank you so much Jim! I truly appreciate the work you all did & the awesome atmosphere you all have there! Im so happy with the work that was done!

Jim has a superb operation. After describing my cars paint issue, Jim helped me with suggestions and advice on the best repair that would be commensurate with the value of my car. He gave me a very competitive quote, and his staff was incredibly polite and helpful throughout the entire process. They finished the work on my vehicle earlier than they estimated initially, and the product was perfect. From start to finish, my experience was exactly what I hoped for in rectifying my cars paint problem. Should I need any auto body repairs or services in the future, I will be returning to Jim.

Along with his incredible employees (always very pleasant in person and on the phone), he made my car repair process headache free!! When I picked up my car today and it looked newer than when I drove it off the lot years ago!!! I had my rear bumper replaced, yet the entire car was spotless, inside and out. It is so refreshing to find people who work hard and care about the details. They restored my faith in good people doing good things the right way!!

Everyone is so friendly and professional. My car was done sooner than expected unlike the last place that took 9 WEEKS! My biggest concern was the paint color to match because my car has sparkles and they nailed it! They also took care of all the insurance stuff which was amazing and stress free for me! Hopefully I wont need to but I would return for any needs!

First off, I want to thank the team at Exotic Bodies. From the woman at the front desk, to the owner, they were great all around. The woman at the desk was nice, professional, welcoming, and had a great sense of humor. She made me feel comfortable. The team there helped me set up a rental car and handled everything through the insurance company that was responsible for fixing my car. I literally just had to drop my car off, they worked on it, and then I picked it up. It was hassle free and they made the whole process go smoothly. As for the work, my car looks awesome. I had gotten side swiped and the drivers side door had to be worked on. They replaced the shell of the door and painted it. My car looks just like it did the day I bought it. I had an accident right before going on a 2 week trip. My friend referred me here and I didnt have much time to do more research so I took my car to Jim. He seemed really happy to help me and said the work could be done by the time I got back from my trip, however when I got back they hadnt even started. This was an $8500 repair covered by my insurance company- yet no one could get a call back from the office and the insurance company was on my case about running out of days with my rental car. After a few calls, I finally heard back and Jim said it would be ready in a couple days. When I followed up in a couple days he said they found another issue and it would be another week. When I finally got the call to pick up my car after 6 weeks I showed up and Jim said the check engine light was on but he didnt know why. He said I should still take my car and he would refer me to a Subaru dealer to run a free diagnostic test to find the issue. One day after having my car back, it started stalling on me. I left several messages for his preferred Subaru partner and never got a call back. Eventually, as my car began stalling several times a day, I went to *my* mechanic who ran diagnostics for $125 and instantly found the issue - A port connector was plugged in by someone, which should only happen during shipping. This issue didnt exist when I brought my car to Jim so someone in his shop had to accidentally connected the port. I went back to Jim for reimbursement of the diagnostics since his free referral never called me back but he said the insurance company should reimburse me. My insurance company said the diagnostics suggest this was something Jim should take care of... I left 3 messages for Jim with no call back until I finally stopped in to see him. He insisted he had nothing to do with this and wouldnt reimburse my out of pocket expense, even though he is the one who returned my car incomplete. I am less concerned with the out of pocket cost of the diagnostic than I am with the total lack of care given to the completion of my car. He wanted my business when the insurance company wrote him a check for $8500 but when I informed him the work was incomplete he avoided me and any responsibility. Seems like a bad way to earn repeat business.

Jim’s body shop work on my vehicle exceeded ALL my expectations. I had researched many body shops prior to picking Jim’s having a prior horrible experience with Calibar Collision (Boulder) fixing my vehicle per the very heavy Lakewood hail storm a few years ago. So my experience this time With Jim’s was A+ (exceptional, 5 stars) in the three areas below that I looked for in every service experience;(1) Quality(2) Service(3) ValueJim’s body shop delivered on all 3 areas AND in an exceptional manner. I had a decent amount of hit-n-run parking lot damage ($4k+ worth) on my vehicle. “Who do you call”... Jim’s and his company delivered!First, Jim quoted a fair price and detailed written quote to fix my vehicles damage. My Farmers insurance did lowbid the damage per A few simple pics (due to COVID-19 no adjuster hands on see damage). Ok no problem ... cus Jim went to battle (for me) to get the rightfully due coverage to fix the vehicle.So areas 2 and 3 noted above, Jim’a business definetely cares for the client. Gotta love that.Quality. It was Exceptional. Very pleased with their work and no “what the heck, your not done, what’s up with quality?” type comments like I had with Calibar Collision. Not with Jim’s shop.Last comments - Sure you can go with big insurance companies like Farmers preferred companies (Calibar, etc) or you can try a small Family owned business that delivers well (5 stars) in all 3 areas I noted above. Your choice.I suggest try Jim’s. Not only did his shop deliver they went beyond expectations doing little things for free to make the vehicle “right”. Huh? Yes that’s right. You won’t get that with the big boys ... go with Jim’s you won’t be disappointed.

Jim and Heidi are truly a notch above the rest. We have had 2 cars repaired there and cannot be happier with the experience and the work they do. In todays world where most body shops you have to schedule an appointment to get an estimate, we were able to walk in and walk out in 10 minutes with estimate in hand. Thank you for all you do!

I had just purchased a brand new Ford Escape when I got rear-ended on Hwy. 36 on my way home from work. Exotic Bodies by Jim was recommended by the Ford Dealership I purchased my SUV from, so I took my car over to Jims. I must say I was impressed with his professionalism, and his explanation of the entire process of getting my car fixed. Heidi, was also was a great help in calming my rather fevered brow, when it came to dealing with the Insurance company whose driver caused the accident in the first place, as I thought this was going to be a long drawn out fight. It wasnt, and thanks to their expertise, my car is on the way to being fixed by a team of solid professionals. If you were to ever need the services of a Body shop, then Exotic Bodies by Jim in Lakewood would be my First and only choice.

It took a while to get all my parts for my 2004 car, but they clean my car (which is good because were on the verge of a pandemic at the time of this service) and it was for a great price for parts and service. People are friendly and dog friendly.

I just got my car back and it looks great...again! I was referred to this shop by my brother years ago and I have taken my car to Exotic Bodies at least three times myself. Every time my car comes back like before the accident or better. Jim is almost always the one that answers the phone and is often also in the back working on cars when I come in. He is very personable and I will always take my car to him for body work. I dont trust any other shops.

Awesome place to take your car! I had no idea what to do or where to go when I needed my bumper replaced from being rear ended-Exotic Bodies couldnt have been nicer and more helpful! They took care of our needs-made sure we knew where to get a rental-took care of the insurance stuff- and made sure we were happy! I will ALWAYS take my cars here if needed:-) Amazing family business!

I am a 25 year automotive industry professional and my repair facility was unable to use our trusted body person because of an injury. Needless to say literally six months later we were told it was finally complete.....Following repeated phone calls as to its status and various excuses I’ve never seen such inexcusable negligent workmanship. Not even an attempt at completion.....several parts missing and a box of bolts. His final excuse? “I thought you guys might want to reassemble it yourself”. SERIOUSLY? He isn’t even trying anymore. I NEVER even got an estimate after practically begging for one I was just handed a bill and told bring me $2,000? Buyer beware. This place is why our industry reputation is so horrible. You could throw a rock and hit someone more committed to servicing your vehicle more accurately....I feel sorry for the young people employed by this hack shop getting the wrong impression of what this business should look like.

Neat place tucked under a bridge almost.Limited dirt parking up front, kinda cramped.Girl who answers phone calls the day I called seem either irritated or just didnt care. Came off a bit rude and seem to lack customer service qualities.

Took three weeks to do a job that should have taken a week. Dropped off on the 30th of December, was told would be ready in a little over a week it wasn’t then was told it would be done on January 15th, then the 17th, but the paint got messed up so then was told the 20th wasn’t ready and when talked to Jim he said it would be ready pick up the morning of the 21st my wife went to pick it up and it still wasn’t ready until about 11 am so she was late to work. And then still had to bring it back to be finished They could not paint the letters on my new grill to match the way I had painted them on the damaged grill. Was told it would be to hard to mask off. Was charged 6 hours to install a vengeance bumper on the Tacoma an hour to cut the fender flares and 2 hours to wire the fog light and they just used electrical tape to do the wires that should have been heat Shrink and when I questioned the job was told that is how they do it not impressed so in all the job had 15.5 hours labor and 9 of that was on a bumper really. And when I expressed my displeasure to Jim he asked me why I didn’t just do the work myself since I know how and I would have if the insurance company would have let me but they said it had to be taken to an auto body shop, in all when I told him I would not do business with there shop in the future or recommend them he told me he has plenty of other costumers.pictures of the grill I painted that they couldn’t duplicate.the damage after accident and a picture of after they got done o wait it wasn’t done the wife had to make a special trip back down to have the inner fenders cut and the fog lights tightened because they were loose

This is an unfortunate review, as I really dislike having to negative review a local business but...I really dont think anyone should have to deal with this.My repair was done to my company vehicle, so usually I dont complain much because I dont usually care. But the level of service I received and the damage to the vehicle was too much to handle. I will even be filing a complaint to the BBB because this is simply ridiculous.First off, a minor repair to my vehicle was to be completed in 5 days. That turned into 9 days. No big deal, whatever.Second off, they were supposed to call me when my car was finished. Instead I had to track them down several times to get a response. Okay, whatever, I had a rental car that was paid for so each day that ticked by wasnt on my dime.Third off, when picking up my car, there are stains all over my passenger seat from where the repair was done. Okay, kinda pissed but whatever - I guess Ill spray some cleaner and get that off myself.Lastly and most damning, I immediately find theres a large crack in my windshield and when I showed it to them, they said, Did a rock hit your windshield? I simply told them, I brought you the vehicle without damage to the windshield. I should be pissed off but this is a company vehicle and that can be fixed on our policy. However, if this was my personal vehicle and this whole thing happened, I would be absolutely furious. The response: Well yes, thats good that they will fix it. I left without busting a fuse.Overall, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone taking in their personal vehicle (or company at that). Note: I reported them to my company so they will not be used again for any of our employees.

Went to this shop that was located much further north of Lakewood in 2004, I worked with the owners daughter. While they fixed my Mercedes body damage, they broke many things, omitted screws that needed to be in certain spots....all these years later I am still finding new Jerry rigged things. Look everything over, and I mean everything if you are going to use this shop.

Jims son came to my house and estimated a rear hit repair on my Prius. I sent the car to their shop for repairs. It took them over a year to repair the car and they ended up charging me $1500 more than quoted. I might have let all this slide but we cant drive the car in wet weather as the roof leaks badly. The roof was a part of the repair done at Jims shop.The repair was faulty and I was told they bid it way too cheep. I guess they cut corners because of their bid.Beware if you use this shop.

DO NOT GO HERE! They left my car open in the shop and I never did get all the dust and paint smell out. It took 3 tries to get body parts aligned correctly, not to mention the fish eyes in the paint that I started to point out before Jim started helping me.

Such amazing people and the work is so worth everything.
