The BEST customer service you can ask for! The short bald dude, Josh, was fantastic! He took the time to explain everything about the mattress and base we were interested in. All the reading online helped, but the explanation Josh gave was priceless! I highly recommend this store!
My visit to the bed store was the second worst customer service experience that I have ever had in my entire life, hands down!My girlfriend and I walked into the store, and were both genuinely curious to learn about/understand the stores big sign that says well even tuck you in. When we went in, the store was completely empty except for a light-skinned bald man in his 30s-40s working there whom we spoke to. We asked him about the sign, and at first everything seemed to be going well. He told us about the history and origin of the phrase which was interesting. However, after I asked him a follow-up question in order to better understand what he was telling us, he suddenly became very passive-aggressive, as he was now clearly upset about the fact that we even asked the question in the first place.He told us that the slogan came from the owners grandmother who had a hotel where she would tuck her guests in. Apparently, according to the man that we talked with, we should have already known this, because he obviously viewed our simple inquiry as us being out-of-touch and disrespectful. He started to make a passive aggressive jab at both us of by suggesting that maybe one day we would have something important like that to us, as if we had no understanding or regard for things that are held dear. Upon hearing him begin to go down this rabbit trail I interjected with an attempt to correct his unfair and hostile assumptions. His response to this was to immediately double-down and tell us good-bye. We obliged, but as we walked towards the exit I verbally let the man know how unreasonable and wicked he was being, to which he became increasingly irate and kept demanding that we leave, (as we continued towards the exit.)Both the owner and the grandmother should be made aware of how this man completely disregarded and disrespected the spirit of the stores slogan of hospitality by going above and beyond to be as toxic and as hostile as possible.

Josh was knowledgeable in the Tempurpedic products and gave me the necessary information so I could decide on the correct mattress. After I bought the mattress Josh made a follow up call with me. He made sure I got my mattress and base as soon as possible. I had a positive experience at The Bed Store. I would recommend The Bed Store to friends and family. My family just had the most unpleasant experience in your Bearden store. We walked in, not really knowing what we were looking for, so just started looking and said to the clerk we were there to look around. He made a few comments, and I guess we were all looking at the beds and when we didnt respond he said Ah, HELLO! We were floored at the rudeness. FLOORED that potential paying customer would be addressed like that. So we started to leave and I mentioned I would not be buying from there, and he proceeded to tell us how rude we were to not have responded when he was talking. I let him know I would be contacting the owners and you might be interested in knowing you lost a sale and any future sales and I will make sure anyone I know, knows about this experience. Good luck with this kind of business model, as there are a lot of other mattress stores and options in town that would be HAPPY to have our $.

I contacted Sarah again and she explained that she had discussed certain options that they could do to support The Bed Store dealing with this issue of mine. She said she would contact him again. I waited almost another week and finally he called but due to work I was unable to talk with him. He said he would call back the next day which he didnt. Finally the following week I contacted him and we had the discussion concerning my bed. I explained where I was at and that I was requesting a refund and he said he would have to contact the owner and get back with me. He called me the next day or 2 and explained that they were not going to do anything and that it was past 90 day period. I mentioned that Sarah from Rest mentioned that they gave him some options from their company and he said it didnt matter and that they were not going to do anything. I said the bed has never worked on a consistent basis and he said just to contact Rest and that it was not The Bed stores problem. I said i will go to social media about this and he said go for it and i mentioned small claims court and his reply was, we will be there.This has to be one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. look at their reviews and you will see a lot of positive and why wouldnt they be from customers that didnt have any problems. However if you keep searching find the ones that did have a problem and you will see that they took care of it or should i say didnt take care of it like they did with me. The not so good reviews will tell the tale.AGAIN BEWARE. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE NOT TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. My salesman Josh Wallin, who is also the manager at this store, greeted my husband and I with a huge smile and made us feel welcome right away. I told him some sleeping issues we have been having, and he suggested beds that could alleviate some of those issues, and showed us a couple of options. Josh answered all of our questions in a way that made us feel incredibly comfortable making a purchas, he explained to us the Sleep night guarantee and the Warranty Coverage, which he then provided to me in print off the manufacturers website. In the 2 hours we were in the store he went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. This Guarantee and Coverage makes us believe in the quality of the bed. Overall I am very very satisfied with the service I received at this location, and look forward to using our new bed for many years. Thank you Josh!

Had a warranty issue on product they had stopped selling and they honored the warranty and even told us about some bed frames there was clearance on and even sold them cheaper than the clearance price. It might sometimes feel expensive but thats because they only sell pretty nice products. If you check other stores for the same mattress you will see they are competitively priced. Nice salesman made a painful experience (painful because Im cheap) a great experience.

I am reluctantly reviewing my attempt to purchase a Simmons bedding set at The Bed Store. I expected much more from a prestigious and reputed company of your standard. I would like to express my disappointment in the continuous issues I am having trying to get the correct, undamaged mattresses and bases I ordered almost 7 weeks ago. Due to the lack of a quality product from Simmons and their distribution, The Bed Store has unsuccessfully attempted to deliver my order (4) times but each time there was an issue with either the mattress or the bases.On the first delivery, the crew delivered the incorrect mattress and in addition, it was torn.On the second delivery, the crew returned with the correct mattresses but when they removed the previously left incorrect mattresses, damage was found on the base (several of the bolts and a rod were loose and unattached). Also, I discovered a rip on the covering of the lumbar bars.On the third delivery, they attempted to deliver (2) new bases but upon opening, both were ripped in the same manner as the second delivery.The fourth delivery arrived again with the same damage. We were told it would take (2) more weeks to re-order another set and were told we should anticipate delivery on order around October 9th. This week we received a call stating the bases had yet again arrived damaged so it was going to be a little longer.Obviously, I have spent many hours between phone calls and leaving work early for deliveries. I feel that my time has been of no concern to Simmons. I feel I have been patient and understanding for what is advertised as quality bedding which is costing me thousands of dollars. I am 7 weeks without the correct bedding / base and Do NOT feel the satisfaction of Being Tucked In.

Jeremy was incredible, patient, and kind without putting pressure on me to buy anything. They are conscious of what you want in a bed and your budget and have always seemed to put me in line with the right mattress for the money I want to spend. My husband and I were shopping around for beds for ourselves, and our twin boys. We had been just about everywhere. The difference? We did not experience what we did at the bed store anywhere else. Nick Taylor (store manager) was so extremely knowledgeable of the products he sells, from mattresses to pillows.. He took his time allowing us to test each bed, and explained the differences between each type.Nick was friendly, and we didnt know at the time he stayed an hour late passed closing to make sure he could help us in anyway possible.He actually listened to what we were looking for and stayed with in our price range..I didnt feel rushed,or like he was trying to just make a sale. Nick is personable and thats what makes him a fantastic manager..when you are shopping anywhere I think as a customer, you are hoping for a great experience in customer service, it makes a great difference in your attitude as well. We were actually happy to be there and so greatful for the way he helped us. We purchased three beds during our visit, and we are extremely happy. Nick is amazing and I highly recommend this store if your shopping for a bed. The products are great and so is the service and these days thats hard to find. My wife and I have been bed shopping for a while. After tons of research, lying on a lot beds, and talking to friends and family we narrowed it down to an airbed with an adjustable base. We went to the Bed Store in West Knoxville to check out the ReST smart bed. Jeremy and Brian helped us and made us feel like we were their primary focus even while helping other customers. They both spent time explaining the bed, how it works, how we customize, etc. My wife is not a fan of memory foam which is the top layer of bed. Jeremy offered an option to switch out the memory foam layer with a different material that is firmer. He had her try several beds and when she found what she liked he worked to get the memory foam layer replaced. Since the ReST bed has 5 different adjustable zones I was able to find the settings that helped with my back and rebuilt shoulder. My wife was able to find the settings for her back and to sleep elevated versus using pillows. The service from both Jeremy and Brian sealed the deal and we bought it.We look forward to getting the bed soon. We will update about the bed in a few months.
This is the best mattress store I have ever walked into—by far! They were busy when I walked in yesterday and, with only Nick there, he still took the time to meet my needs along with the other people there as well. I will never go to another mattress store again other than this one. Both Nick and Kenny were amazing! VERY respectful men and very helpful & knowledgeable about what they were talking about. If they haven’t gotten a raise recently, THEY BOTH deserve one!
Excellent service. Just moved into town and within my first hours here in Knoxville I got to experience that Southern hospitality people talk about. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by Kenny and Jeremy who truly went above and beyond to help me find a mattress that met my needs and budget. The mattress is very comfortable, great quality and was most likely the best deal in town!

Very low sales pressure because they know youll be back when youre ready to buy. We shopped around quite a bit but saved this store for last. We met some great sales people and had some good deals offered in other stores, but bottom line, family had bought from them before and had a good experience so we checked out the competition and ended up buying several beds here. Service/advice/deals were on-target plus the accommodations were so comfortable we could have slept thru the day!I suggest you check your options out but save this place for a final check, or if you dont want the hassle of competitive shopping, just go here first. I think youll be very happy because these 2 guys have got it right!

I only have good things to say about Josh and Jeremy. Not once did we feel pressured to make a decision on a certain mattress or feel rushed into one. It took us months to decide on a mattress making many trips to the store only because we are extremely picky. They were always accommodating and patiently telling us to take our time. I will only be getting future mattresses from here. 10/10 recommend.

Just ordered our third mattress (a queen-size beaver creek firm) from The Bed Store over the phone to complete our guest room. Bought our first two in-store around six months ago. I like this store and returned to buy again because Nick, the manager, is a really nice dude -- very friendly, easy-going, knowledgeable, and professional. And perhaps most importantly, he lets you just look around and shop without pressuring you. Sometimes I feel qualities like this are becoming increasingly rare among folks who work in customer service these days. Case in point I will NOT shop at Best Buy anymore. Why? Because the last time I visited, I was hounded by no less than three different sales people in the span of less than 10 minutes! Sometimes you just want to wander around a store and not be pressured. (Radio Shack has become really bad for this as well...) Guess some businesses will just never learn... (Thats why I get my electronics at Amazon now, lol) But you dont have that problem at The Bed Store on Kingston Pike. Nick and his staff pretty much just let you shop at your pace, yet they are there when you have a question. The delivery crew was also good: they arrived on time on a Saturday, were friendly, and offered to set everything up for us. This is pretty standard stuff that youd expect from any business I suppose. But since most businesses these days fall short, I guess its pretty easy for a business to put itself way ahead of the rest by simply meeting a few basic expectations. Wow. I have rarely had better customer service. These are important purchases, and highly personal. The staff is great, and the manager (Nick) sets a superb example. They go out of their way to treat you as an individual, listen to your needs, and help you find the best bed at a very fair price. There is a lot of competition in Knoxville, so these stores may seem interchangeable, but it is the customer service that sets this one apart. I am SO happy I chose to make them my only stop for an important purchase like this. A+!

I stopped into this store a couple weeks ago while home visiting my family. I planned to buy a mattress and have it shipped to my home in a different state. The salesman, Kenny, explained to me that the mattress I was looking for, he wouldnt be able to deliver across country. Instead of him just telling me good luck and sending me on my way, he took the time to help me locate a store in the town where Im from to purchase the mattress from when I returned home! While I ultimately wasnt able to purchase anything from The Bed Store, I see now why they were recommended to me. Great customer service!

Kenny Taylor has gone. above and beyond for me on several occasions. A mattress I had wanted had gotten sold the day previously and he was able to locate one at another store for me and was even able to offer same day free delivery! He even threw in one of those high dollar pillows for free! His exceptional and exemplary customer service is exactly why time and time again I come back to the bed store.

After going into the many mattress stores along Kingston Pike, finally ended up at this one. The salesman, Nick, was extremely helpful even when we were only looking for a boxspring and frame since we already had a mattress. He took way more time than expected to work with us on giving the best deal possible. He made the experience not only painless, but actually enjoyable. Will for sure go back here again if Im ever in need of a mattress and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to make a mattress purchase.

Had an amazing experience here. My wife and I stopped in to the bed store the day we arrived in Knoxville from Michigan. We were greeted by Jeremy Spencer, who was kind, attentive and really went out of his way to make sure we got into the bed we wanted, as well as just feeling welcome to the area. Their price was in line with what we had expected for a temper-pedic, but Jeremy did work some magic on the transaction that left me feeling like I got a nice deal. The delivery was on time, professional, courteous, and they treated my property like it was their own. After delivery, Jeremys level of service has remained as exceptional as it was pre-purchase. I couldnt recommend this store enough if youre in the market for a new bed.
I had awesome customer service while I was there. Nick was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. They had such a wide variety to choose from, but he went above and beyond to try to find the perfect mattress for me. I will go back there next time I need a mattress for sure!
The mattress hurt my lower back and they would not work with us at all and we spent a lot of money. I will never buy anything else from them and tell everyone I know not to do business with them.

What a great experience. We were greeted by Kenny first while Nick was finishing up with another customer. Both guys were very knowledgeable and put my wife and I at ease. We’d been to three other mattress stores but thank goodness we made it to an actual “Bed Store”.We would recommend the Bed Store and more specifically Nick( The Sleep Technician) to anyone who is currently looking for a better nights sleep. He treated us like family members and we left with a new adjustable Serta iComfort bed and a new friend in the bed industry. Thanks for the great price and the great process.
Nick Taylor was a great help to myself and my husband in choosing the right bed for us. My husband has back and knee trouble and has for the last 6 yrs. Finding an adjustable base and then the right mattress was the reason my husband now has relief at night.
I had already posted under FUMC how great Nick is. He made it easy for me to find what I wanted by letting me try one after the other bed and leave me to sleep on it (literally) as well as come back another day before deciding, and I never felt pressured. I could only sayin my previous post how great a sales person Nick was because my mattress had not yet been delivered. Last evening two of the nicest people I have ever met delivered my mattress and my adjustable foundation. James and Chad were so on top of it and they set up to my liking with smiles. They took away my old bedding and all the plastic and boxes that held my new unit for delivery. They could not have been nicer. Now to the mattress and foundation. Last night I slept like a baby except that I did not want to get up and turn on the air conditioning. I got up this morning and had no backache for which this has been forever begging. You cannot believe what a difference. Thanks, Nick, for giving me lots of time to try mattresses and for all your info and suggestions. I recommend this store, Nick, and hope you get same delivery people if you order. If you need a mattress, go see Nick. This is my advise and I went many many places looking. Best prices too.
Sales clerk was friendly, efficient and helpful. The Bed Store is family owned, and carries name brand beds, instead of weird off-brands that might harbor snakes, tarantulae, or escaped convicts.I deducted one star because I was told the bed I ordered would be delivered Tuesday, and it didnt come until Thursday, but other than that, Im very happy with everything.
I dont have my bed yet. Delivery is set for Tuesday which is a quick turnaround. I just wanted to comment on the sales representative, Nick Taylor. From the moment he met me at the door he gave me his full attention. I was a lot of work because I had been shopping lots of places. He had so much knowledge of the products. I originally wrote a very negative review of the store over four years ago; apparently we had an incident late at night with an employee trying to rush us out of the store at closing time. Honestly, its been so long ago, I dont remember it all, but the owner, Nick Taylor, reached out to me and asked me to visit again. Any owner or business person who takes the time to reach out to someone who had a bad experience is very commendable in my book, especially years later! I greatly appreciate his effort to make things right, and if his customer service is any indication, Im sure the staff follows his lead well. As someone who used to manage a hotel, feedback and reviews are very important, and it leaves a lasting impression. Thank you to the owner for leaving a lasting impression.
It was a wonderful experience. Brad McGill welcomed me when I entered the store despite having other customers. Once he was able to speak with me, we had a candid conversation about what I was looking for and he proceeded to show me multiple options. I ended up making a decision to purchase one of the Temper-Pedi beds. Delivery was great and now Im enjoying my new bed. Took me about 4 days to adjust but now Im enjoying a good nights sleep. Would highly recommend this location and company. I can honestly say that beds are their business. Very professional from start to finish.
I was wary of trying to buy a mattress locally given the industrys reputation and was just about to purchase online, protected by the safety of thousands of reviews. I went into the Bed Store just before to check things out one last time and met Nick, who can only be described as a mattress nerd. It was a lot like going to the Tesla dealership. The people there are more like curators of a car museum—there to tell you about the features and advantages, and not too bent on actually selling you a car. Nick was more interested in discussing the merits of different blends and thicknesses of latex than shoving me into whatever mattresses he had. I e-mailed him that evening about some concerns and competing products I’d found online and we had a long discussion about selecting the best mattress. Ultimately, I ended up buying from him with an incredible warranty that would handle things in home. Even returning a tablet is torture online. I can’t imagine trying to return or warranty an online mattress. Regardless of what you want or where you’re set on buying, visit Nick first, just to talk things over.
The customer service was great. Also, Nick worked with me to get a great deal on my new bed. All together it was a great experience and I highly recommend.
