I took my Ford to them after several years getting my maintenance done at a local Ford Dealer. With that Ford Dealer I had a lot of issues getting them to properly align my wheels. After they had it hooked up to their machine 5 times in two days and unable to do the alignment I took it to Greentree. They were AMAZING! So much better than the dealer and fixed my alignment on the first try without any issues. Makes me wonder what’s going on at that dealer.

We had been going to Greentree for 3 years and I was never very impressed with their service, but just never felt like searching for another mechanic as they had come recommended to us. Back in April I took my car in because it wasnt functioning correctly. They looked it over and found what they thought was the problem and fixed it. As I was driving home the check engine light came on in my car. I called and was thoroughly unimpressed with the response I received. I brought it back and found it was the catalytic converter. They were going to charge me an obscene amount of money to fix it so I let it be. Fast forward to October my car was acting up again so out of necessity to get it fixed I hesitantly brought it into Greentree, figuring Id give them another try. I specifically asked the mechanic via email, written letter, and over the phone to THOROUGHLY check my car. I received a report that I would need about $3000 worth of work done. I asked him if he would go through each item with me so I could understand the enormous amount. He rudely agreed to do so and in an annoyed tone walked me through the problems. I specifically asked him if he thought it would be smart to put this money into the car or if I should just try to sell it now and see how much I could get out of it as I didnt want to dump $3000 into the car and wind up dumping another $1000 or more a few months down the line. He assured me they had thoroughly looked at the car and that it was worth spending the $3000. I wend ahead with the repair and 24 hours later as I was driving to work, guess what came on? The check engine light! I called Greentree and no surprise they took no responsibility for it and were angry at me for the light coming on saying it must have been something that came up since I picked it up 24 hours ago. I brought it in and they ran a test on it finding that it was the catalytic converters. The same problem that came up in April- had they checked that out in the through inspection they supposedly ran on my car? no, even through it was on their records. Their response? Oh we thought you had gotten it fixed by another mechanic. First off, the phone is not difficult to pick up and ask me about it. Second, you are my mechanic and have been for 3 years!! Incredibly frustrating experience. Very unprofessional, unaccommodating, un-through, lazy, and rude. I will not be recommending anyone nor going their myself any longer.Useful 1FunnyCool

It is easy to make an appointment and they do what you ask plus drive your car to make sure there isnt anything else that sounds strange and needs repair. They call and email estimates. They will not do anything that they think is unnecessary and will always tell you the truth! Cant go wrong!!

I was passing through town and had a piece of my cars engine cover fall off and was dragging on the ground. I was fortunate enough to come across Greentree Tire & Auto, Phil and his team were able to get my car in and out FAST! I appreciate their crew working so quickly to get me back on the road! ⚠️ Buyer beware. Greentree is either dishonest or incompetent.I took my car to Greentree Auto on April 27th 2021 to have the air conditioning evaluated as it was blowing hot air. Greentree quoted me $2,100, telling me they needed to replace a failed compressor and the condenser as it couldnt be flushed of the debris from the failed compressor. I opted not to have them make the repair and was charged $122.After a month and a half of tolerating no air conditioning, I took my car in for an oil change. I was told by the Ford mechanic that the front face of the clutch on the air compressor was missing. $450 later, a new air compressor clutch was installed and the system recharge, as it was under vacuum (another favor provided by Greentree). My air temperature is currently 47°f, and theres 1,650 dollars more in my wallet than there would have been, had I allowed Greentree to rob me.Im lucky to have walked out with the shirt on my back. Hopefully this post saves someone else a substantial amount of money.

I knew when my rear brakes started grinding that I had to head to GTA. Yep, Phil said the caliper locked up and wasted the entire assembly. He assured me that I could not really have prevented it, and that because it was my rear brakes, I didnt hear anything until it was too late.6 hours later I was rolling again. Thanks GTA

We have been coming to Greentree for a couple of years now and all I can say is they are a great local tire and auto company.We went in for a safety and emissions inspections and the check engine light was on. They gave us two options and one was over 75% less than the other. It fixed the problem and the inspections passed.They have always been completely honest and are great people to work with.

If you have a foreign car do not take it to Greentree tire and auto. They obviously have a problem with working on foreign cars. Not to mention very rude and condescending.

Do not ever come this place!!! They take advantage of women here. Said my wife needed over a thousand dollars worth of work done. Said we needed new ball joints with control arms on both sides of the front of the vehicle and she would not pass for her safety inspection. I took the car to auto tire at Manchester and Geyer those guys are great. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with both control arms or the ball joints. Didn’t have a problem passing for the safety. This place is a scam an it’s disgusting how they take advantage of women here.

I went to Elco Chevy (where I bought my 2016 Cruze) three times, and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it yet still charged me a $170 diagnosis fee and charged me another $100 for parts and labor on a job that didnt fix the issue. When I took it back, they wanted to charge another diagnosis fee. I said, No thanks and did what I should have done in the first place: take the car to Greentree Tire & Auto like everyone else I know does. After dropping it off, Phil called within one hour of opening with a correct diagnosis and fair bid. Car is fixed and runs great.

Quote was extremely high and included extras items that wasn’t needed to get vehicle running. Quoted a battery along with a blown radiator. Took it to another mechanic to find out water pump and hoses were broken too which wasn’t on the quote. Thankful for a reasonable second opinion. Service was nice and they did get back quickly. They were kind enough not to charge lot fee for vehicle being there a few days but disappointed in being changed a “diagnostic” when it was inaccurate.

I will not use anyone except for Greentree when possible. Phil and Jeff are great to deal with and do very good work. Extremely honest and fair mechanics. I thought I ruined an engine, twice actually and the repairs were very minimal! I have never felt like I have been taken advantage. I have been using Greentree for all repairs for me, my wife, and my parents for the last 5 years.

I had a negative experience here last year-- went in for a safety inspection and mechanic was very very high pressure, claiming my car needed over a thousand dollars of repairs and that it wasnt even safe to drive out of the shop (suspension & steering system.). When I wanted to get a second opinion, he claimed he was too concerned about my personal safety to drive out of the shop. I did anyway, and I took it to two other mechanics at different shops who both said there was nothing wrong with the suspension and steering system. I felt like the folks here definitely pressured me because I looked like a clueless woman.

The staff at greentree are all friendly and personable. Theyve always done a good job on my vehicles.There have been times I thought they might be overcharging me. So, I looked up some estimates for parts and labor online and compared what I found with the receipt they gave me. Their price was considerably higher than what my research indicated.So, I contacted their manager about it and he was very helpful in explaining where an error had been made and refunded me accordingly. While ideally they would not have overcharged me in the first place, it is clear they are committed to keeping their customers happy.

Im a fix it myself kind of guy and I went for an inspection. Basically I kept fixing the things they told me to fix, but their guesses, were wrong. They did a poor job diagnosing the problems and I had to travel back and forth multiple times. They have good customer service, and their owner is a trustworthy man, but I dont believe they have great technical skill.
