Ever since COVID-19 hit I have wanted to get the Animal Crossing Special Edition Nintendo Switch but it was always sold out. Finally at the Best Buy location in Jersey City, NJ I was able to find one remaining. The sales associate at the Online pick up line even stated, wow, you found one, your lucky these are sold out everywhere. I couldnt hide my excitement and he even joined in and talking as if we were friends our entire life made it personable. The service was quick and friendly, I wish I had gotten his name but whoever you are, thank you for the friendly service and goofy laughs.
Good selection of products. But a lot of products on display don’t have prices and the staff are around so it’s a little frustrating if you want to actually buy. So I don’t know if it’s the Best Buy? But yeah they have a Lotta good selection of stuff if you can go to work or to help you.
I had bought a router from Edison Best buy and then had issue at my office internet provider mentioned that, this router will not support the optimum internet. And Specialist at Edison best buy, said it will work. So, I went to return the router at Edison best buy, which was not even opened . They spoke to manager named Denny, and Mr. Danny refused to take it back because it is passed over 14 day as store return policy. We had an argument with him, so why tech specialist suggest me this router!!And the same situation I have explained to Jersey city best buy and they accepted my full refund.It was so easy transaction. Staff was so nice and supportive.Thank you all.
The Apple Watch 6 series on display are missing. iPhones on display is scattered on the table. Frustrated customers keep asking each other where is the guy working on apple section, but the fact is, no one is working on Apple section. There are a few employees passing by who told us we have to find a cashier in computer section to answer our questions or buying any Apple products, but the fact is the only cashier has been serving the same couple of customers for the past 20 minutes. When I told the employee this fact, he answered “I work in the store warehouse, so you gotta blame this somewhere else”. To be honest, this kind of service failed to match every other Best Buy I have ever been to on America soil. This service is lack luster even by average industry standard.
I had an issue with my iPhone today, went to Apple in Paramus to have it looked at, the wait time was 1.5 hours time that I did not have, the manager did not even take a look at the phone, thought she reiterated that I had to wait an extensive amount of time for the service. Since I was in a hurry I left to pick up my son from school, on my way I stopped by the Bestbuy in JC, the guys from the geek squad were very helpful and fixed my phone in 3 minutes. Thank you so much!!! I had a whole lot of phone calls that I had to attend to.
A large store for electrical and electronic products, it has everything, and is up-to-date, but not so cheap
I had a wonderful experience upgrading my phone the other day with the help of wonderful Andrea. First was Marilyn who very friendly greeted me and start helping me on the process. Than she passed me on Andrea who was extremely professional and knowledgeable making the entire process to feel like a breeze. I highly recommend her for a promotion if that would be possible. I think its truly refreshing to know that people like her exist in the retail business and especially one that sells technology. Best Buy is always my go to destination when I want to upgrade my phone but this time my experience excited my expectations! #grateful

I went to Best Buy to get information on replacing my Xfinity router and modem so I wont have to pay the monthly fee to Comcast. I met up with Gary who was extremely well versed and informed me of all my options. He was extremely technically savvy and answered every question I asked in a thorough, insightful and helpful manner. His knowledge of all the products Best Buy carries was exemplary. Gary is a huge attribute to the company!

The employees don’t know anything. I asked where something would be and they sent me in the complete opposite direction. Happened with multiple employees. Just simply say you don’t know.
I had to go to the Jersey City location for a particular item and it was a great experience. Marius from the Geek squad helped me find the item and he took the time to make sure I had the right color and the other items that go along with. He was so nice! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY BECAUSE BEST BUY DOESNT DELIVER ON THEIR COMMITMENTS. Purchased a washer and dryer for delivery on Friday between 12-6pm. Received a call from the driver at 3:13pm saying he would arrive in 20 minutes. The driver never showed up and then I received a cancellation notice at 5:45pm (just before the 6pm delivery window closed). Contacted Best Buy support and they tried to contact the driver and/or a manager but could not reach either of them. Told me they would call me on Saturday to arrange for delivery on Saturday or Monday. No call received on Saturday. I received an email notice to reschedule and I went online and scheduled for Monday...turns out they only rescheduled the installation team....not the actual delivery of the items. I contacted Best Buy support (again) and spoke with an agent who tried to get it scheduled but couldnt so I asked to speak with a supervisor...got placed on hold for 15 mins (periodically checking back in) and then he transferred me but it disconnected the call. I called back for the fourth time and no one can seem to do anything about scheduling the delivery.Update 5/18: Best Buy confirmed delivery for today...the truck arrived and left because they said they couldnt find parking and they would need to bring a smaller truck on another day.....Best Buy called me to tell me their driver said they will have to reschedule AGAIN. They cant give me a delivery date and confirmed time but they said it will be at least another 48 hours before delivery because their window for deliveries tomorrow is full.
If anyone is planning to buy Apple products especially laptops and tablets, do not purchase from Best Buy. They have the worst customer service and after selling you apple products they do not take any responsibility for it even after claiming to have a 14 day return policy. I have suffered a lot, seeking help from one best buy to another. All of them disappointed me. Please buy Apple products only from Apple directly, best bet would be to buy directly from an Apple Store.
This is a large store with helpful personnel. The location is strategically positioned for large demographics so the variety of selection may be appropriately larger.

This store seems severely understaffed. I only saw one associate in phones and another in computers, but none in other departments on a busy Saturday. I had to go to the front to ask them to call for help and someone came several minutes later. He was very helpful, but it took about 15 minutes to get help in total. A lot of stock was low or empty as well.

Ordered a TV + installation from this place for more than $4000; was delayed for multiple months due to the most unreasonable reasons (accidentally sold the last TV the day before the delivery date, delivery person was busy). Was informed of these changes day of each time.
Go there especially for the Geek Squad, who are always great. This store has large inventory, and customers can browse to their hearts content. Staff helpful and know their stuff. Great store.

Best buy deserves NO stars.We ordered a washer and dryer, and they attempted to deliver twice without the right team to do the installation, therefore had to return them back. At the 3rd time, they just didnt show up even though I had all the confirmation AND confirmed the delivery time and team twice before our time slot by calling and chatting with customer service online.This is the most infuriating, and disorganized experience I have ever had. The system is poorly run and incredibly frustrating. You have a lot to work on to make customer experiences positive.

This was for an order that I placed for to be fulfilled by pickup. Things might rather smoothly, however even though there werent many customers online, I did feel that it took a while to move the queue.
I am a big fan of this Best Buy location. Every salesrep I have encountered at this store has been knowledgeable about the products and are able to explain functionality in plain terms. If you need a new phone this is the place. Ask for Natasha and Many. They genuinely wanted to help us and did. They were considerate and even brought us water since the process took a bit long. If you are looking for a Samsung device and need to understand the differences and functionality make sure you ask for Omar. This guys knows the samsung products better than my networks representative.

Their pickup/delivery process is horrible. Paid $5.99 for nothing to get delivered, order was saying “preparing” the entire day so decided to go to pick it up, was told 15-20 mins I would get my order, the guys that are running back and forth to get the orders from back to front of store bringing everyone else’s orders to the front of the store and mine is yet to be found more than a half an hour later.
The customer service was amazing, the products were comparitively less.
So I went to buy an iPad pro M1. I saw the product at the display desk and played with it. I agreed to buy one. The salesman went to the stock room and got me an older generation iPad he said something to the check out assistant about the model which I didnt hear and they proceeded with the sale. After the salesman walked away and we were about to pay i checked at the specs on the box and realized the product that was brought from the stock room was the older generation.Best buy zero trust worthiness

Went to best buy for purchasing bose frames and oculus. Did not have anyone attend me for 30 mins after which i gave up and walked out. I walked to the sales reps too but felt like they were running away from customers and started looking elsewhere. There were also 2 girl sales rep wearing the blue shirts that were just talking to each other so i walked up to them, they told me to stand and wait near the product and someone will help!!! . Literally no one to attend to any questions or queries while me and my parents stood there waiting. I wouldve picked up the merchandise and gone to the checkout counter myself but both the products were locked requiring assistance.Ended up going out and ordering a curb side pick up. Had i not been pressed on time since it was gift, You would not have me shop here. Might not go again after such disappointing service where no one attends in such a big store. Feels like its a store full of people wanting to avoid any work or really attend to people. Head there only if you know what you want and are ok with a curbside pick up which was quick and efficient. Do not enter the store, it feels like a large living room where people are just sitting and relaxing while you are an uninvited guest.

The delivery service they used is provided by a 3rd party and they delayed our delivery for 5 days. This is significant when you’re comparing companies and you decide to use them for time of delivery. Once the delivery men showed up they did not want to deliver my washer. If you live in an apartment don’t expect them to deliver. Additionally, I asked to cancel my order and they told me to call back in a few days and do it myself. A complete waste of time. If you’re looking for timely service and installation Best Buy is not the choice.
Bought a thumb drive which, surprisingly, is the cheapest amongst the local retailers like Target and Walmart. The golden days of BB is long gone. The online business model which represents 40% of their business is indicative at checkout - the online pickup line was longest. The showroom is sparse and merchandise was scattered about. Good news is that you could look for the bargains or open boxes if youre patient enough.
Meh it’s a Best Buy. Not the neatest one, kind of looks like the aftermath of an apocalypse inside. Wonder when BB will go bankrupt.
This is a fine Best Buy. When I select in store pick up my experience is fast and easy.
In store pick up process is disorganized. Person at the counter left with no explanation while helping the person in front of me. When they returned they offered no apology. As I was the next person in line I stepped forward to pick up my order. Instead of assisting me the associate decided to wait on a person who was behind me that was purchasing an item. Another associate eventually came to assist me. When they went to grab my order only one of the two items was available. When they returned to the register from the product pick up seat they just sat there with no explanation. I had to ask what the issue was. Another associate needed to find my missing item even though in had received a text message stating my items were ready for pickup.
I buy all my electronics here. They have good deals and the employees are informed on the products.
I ordered a laptop the day before for curbside pickup online, after checkout it was switched to instore pickup and the place was closed so had to wait for the following day. Supposedly it is suppose to be ready in an hour after you order... Now the FOLLOWING day, I decide to go since Im not getting any updates and they already took the 2.3k from my account for the laptop....and the time was already 12:30pm, when I show there was a line, had to wait 30 minutes to be told that they dont have it ready, they couldnt find it, then was told to wait on the side of the line till they find it....one hour later and they finally found the laptop...I felt like returning it right then and there and canceling everything but I need it to get work done so... while waiting I looked through the store, shelves are a mess, most of the stuff was out of stock, it was like entering a Thrift Store/Free for all dollar store the way the shelving and displays were...
As a retailer of electronics they Are okay, trying to get help sometimes is sketchy, I usually go for the Latinos, they are more willing to help you, the white guys or Indian guys you have to beg for Att.

Ive bought appliances here. Theyre pretty good at that. Ive bought blue rays. Cool. Online orders and pick up in the store has gotten better over time. But buying a computer here takes for freaking ever. I have to wait for a specialist to help me. I cant just have some one ring me up. They try to add on office and their geek squad and everything else. I literally told the guy, hey, I know exactly what I want. Its just this. Im only buying in store to save the $46 in sales tax (in store, sales tax is half of what it is online). So is 30 minutes of my life worth $46? Thats about $92/hour so I guess so. Just seems crazy someone cant walk the laptop to the cashiers at the front so I can bounce.By the way, I miss Circuit City, where service was state of the art.

I bought a ne cellphone on 12/20th. Asked the person for black friday deal and she said same price. They have to order it and It takes 7 days.THEY WILL CALL ME. Thas what they said. Today 12/04, 14 days later (as nobody called me) I went to the store to pick know the status of my phone and I got this rude guy (the same who told they will call me) sayind he never told me that. I really needed the phone because the old one is no taking the charge anymore. As a customer, I feel bad and disrecpected. I returned the phone and I dont care if I have to buy in another place even in an higher price, but be treat it with respect.

Curbside pickup was smooth as silk. The notification process worked really well. One thing to point out is that its easier for the purchaser to pick up the item. Makes everything faster.

I was told by one of their sales rep. (Purple haired girl) that a product I was looking for was out of stock and left, when it said it was in stock on their website. Another sales rep (Matt) was kind enough to double check for me and he found it, in stock. Give that man a raise! He went looking for almost 10min. Thats the only reason they get a 4/5

Says they close at 7pm now. I get that no worries. But dont lock the doors at 6:45 and then rudely turn me away. I know your hours i had 1 thing to grab. 1 expensive item... Would have been in an out fast as heck. i was rudely denied entry by security and thought oh did i forget a mask etc i didnt they saidCLOSED CANT YOU SEE? and shut the other door. Took my business elsewhere and honestly will never shop at best buy again.

I came into the Best Buy in Jersey City with an emergency situation. My laptop would not power up and I had an appointment with Geek Squad. Because I work remotely, I decided it would be best to buy a new laptop. Computer associate Jose was very patient and informative as he helped me to select a laptop that suited my needs. He and Manny were very thorough in explaining the new protection services Best Buy offers. Their supervisor Mustafa was also extremely helpful in making sure I was able to pay for the laptop on my Best Buy account although I did not have my card with me. Mustafa and Miguel from the Geek Squad were helpful in prioritizing my laptop servicing, making sure my new laptop would be ready by the following afternoon so I could attend my Zoom meetings. I applaud the Geek Squad and Computer teams at the Jersey City Best Buy for the stellar customer service and knowledge. They really helped me to avert a crisis.

Bought a TV and requested delivery plus recycle of my old TV for extra 30 bucks. It took them three days to send COI to our building. Upon delivery, they just left my 65 inch TV in the lobby and tried to drive away without recycling so I had to chase them down and ask them to deliver the TV to my apartment and recycle my TV. Just lazy people working at this location and will never come back.
Great customer service despite a demanding crowd of customers. The Geek Squad is also very down to earth and understanding.
