I have an old boat(1995), so I’m always needing parts. I have been here countless times and John is my favorite person to work with. The overall professionalism and helpfulness of this business is second to none. I was hesitant of going to Tideline initially because of the bad reviews. But, since the new owner took over, this place seems to have completely changed. 10/10 recommend going here for any marine needs, and their prices are actually competitive with Amazon and other stores in the area like Academy, Eastern Outfitters, etc. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for all y’all’s help!

These guys are Great!!! I have 21 foot Tidewater with a Venture trailer that the leaf springs failed. They answered theyre phone on a Sunday and meet me at the shop with repair options. They provided pricing and a general time line.I couldnt be any happier with their work when I went to pick up the boat. They rebuilt the trailer as discussed and repaired the wiring on the trolling motor. They also reset the bunks to their correct positions, now the boat launches and land perfectlyThank yall so much for the Excellent work.

Tideline continues to amaze me. This is my go to place for anything boat related. Super friendly staff. And very family oriented. Which is great for when I bring my 2 year old with me.They are very competitive with their pricing. And will always help you out with a problem. Even after hours. There’s been days where George has been diagnosing electrical problems for customers on his day off. He just happened to be at the shop and someone came up with a question. To me this speaks volume.Thank you

I had just returned from a fishing trip and was in the process of moving my trailer to load my boat. When the axle detached in the parking lot. I walked to tideline to seek assistance. They lent me a strap to attached the axle to the trailer. Took my boat over to them and drove the trailer to them. They put new springs on the trailer and loaded the boat . I was back in business in three days. Great Service Great People.

Took our boat that we inherited from father in law to them to get it checked out and ready to use since it had been sitting for 3 years. Asked to check over entire boat, electrical and fuel system. First they said engine was locked up and should by a 9k new motor, then it was the gear box. 2 years later, they called and said it was fixed. Electrical not inspected, fuel system disconnected, notes from tech said need water pump but never notified.. so cant even use it. Their excuse was it was. Ot on the work ticket, but they cant find the original check in work order. Cost me over 1300 for a none working boat.

I went to buy a motor there, and told them I was going to get a loan! I was gone 2 hrs. Came back and they sold it! He backed out about five days later, so I went back, huge mistake.. Since then my boat is still in the shop. The controls they sold me did not work. Ive spent over 500$ in parts for a motor yall told me would run!! According to your paperwork the motor shouldnt even start, its a three cylinder, not four. And yall wrote all four cylinders have 90 on compression test!? I am contacting better business... I guess yall want to take advantage of someone disabled? My meds were stolen out my vehicle during the four hrs it took yall to load a motor in the back of my truck! This has financially ruined me this year! Had to file police report, and go without any of my meds for 9 days! This was honestly as bad as breaking my back!! When I called them the owner told me he didnt need my business and hung up on me! Wow, unbelievable! Gave a second chance, and got it worse! Ill be paying for four years for yall being dishonest, and selling me controls that didnt work. Still dont even know if it runs at all....

Super nice and friendly folks here!! Traveling from New Bern to Wilmington on a Saturday. Boat trailer broke down late afternoon. Called Tideline, they said bring it by. They fixed it PDQ, at a incredibly reasonable charge, and I was back on the road to ILM. Id give ten stars if I could!!!

SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND NEVER BRING YOUR BOAT HERE FOR SERVICE!!! My boat was brought in due to cutting out after running a short period of time, Three different parts were replaced and after a very expensive bill I received my boat back after 6 weeks. Immediately put it on the water only to experience the same issue as what I brought it in for originally, brought the boat back to them only to be told another part was needed to be replaced to fix the original issue I brought it in for. This leads to another week of troubleshooting and them refusing to cover the cost of new part. I asked if I paid for this 4th part would they put in writing theyd cover the cost if it didnt fix the original issue and was told they only cover parts they replace. This makes sense to an extent except youre paying a mechanic to troubleshoot to a correct part and not just throw parts at your motor and charge you until its fixed. Now Im stuck with a hefty bill and a boat with the same initial issue.

To say the least do NOT go to this place, unless you want a useless motor. We spent almost $5000.00 to get our bout motor repaired. Only to have it put in the water, them leaving before it was even started, for it NOT to start. Turns out that among other things, they put the manifold gaskets on wrong which made it were the water was only coming in one way and pushing water into the motor. But thats okay, after we got it back the heat gauge only worked to a certain point, so instead of reading hot it read as normal. Leaving us not knowing the motor was over heating (all after we fought the motor to get it running again, on our own). In turn the motor locked up due to water and overheating. There is so many things that were screwed up I cant even tell you. To top it off it took them WELL over a year to even fix our boat that the only real issue we has was the gas tank. We lost so much money thanks to this company its ridiculous! I hope no one else has the same misfortune we had but in the same note I hope by telling my story other will be warned.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I dropped my boat motor off for repair here and was quoted a repair price of around $160 and that it would be back to me around four weeks from the time of dropping it off. I did drop it off during prime boating season so when I received it back five weeks later I was not upset about it. I was charged $180 for the repairs at the time of pick-up and gladly paid. A week later I received a message from this company which simply said, I needed to call them back. When I returned from a business trip I had to attend all weekend I called them back and was told that they had messed up their paperwork and I actually owed $107 more than the original payment that they received from me. They wanted me to take time out of my busy schedule to come back down to their store and pay them the difference of their mess up. When I told them how much my small amount of free time meant to me the owner responded with I probably have less free time than you do. This was an absurd comment coming from a business owner who claims to be forever customer-focused. The owner did discount the remaining amount by $20 which in my opinion was not worth the amount of time in which I could have been spending with my family and friends. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Rip Offs! I called to check for spark plugs. Gentlemen told me he had to find out if it was a normally stocked item, and if it was, would only charge me $7/piece, but if special order, I would have to buy the box of 10 at $13/piece. He called me back and said they stock it and they would be in on Tuesday to come in and see him for the price he quoted me. I came in a month or two later (been busy and didnt need the plugs, just wanted them on board for backup) and the gentlemen I spoke to on the phone no longer worked there (go figure). I told the employee I had called a month or so ago and was quoted the $7/piece price (and still had the voicemail on my phone for proof) and he told me there was no way he was selling them to me for that price, that he wasnt losing his job over it. He said he would get the boss (assuming owner) but he would say the same thing, that they paid more than the $7 quoted to me. I said that sucks since its the only place I could get them since it was a marine plug and the employee agreed with me. I left with just the thermostats and did some research on the plugs. I ended up going to autozone 20 minutes later and getting the plugs for $2/piece (champion cross-referenced plugs, not the NGK, but still)!!!!I think the other employee was fired for being honest with customers! I also asked for a water pump kit. I was quoted $37 just for the impeller. I went home and a quick google search and found MULTIPLE COMPLETE KITS (upper housing, all gaskets, lower housing, and impeller) for under $37 (average $35). SHOP ONLINE!!! DONT GO HERE!!! Take advantage of the fact they are the only Marina in the area so if you dont pay their prices you have to drive an hour away to the next closest!
